This was my 1st experience with West Miramar Automotive and I came away impressed. Small shop with full capabilities. They value customer service and quality repairs/maintenance (which can be tough to find all in one place!) One thing that really struck me in particular is that they really ARE a team and the mechanics, front desk/management personnel and shuttle driver seem to genuinely enjoy working together. The feel is one of Lets get this done and get it done well. but without any negativity. The friendly atmosphere combined with excellent work/service speaks of well-treated employees. High marks for this repair shop. I WILL go back and will recommend it to others.

The GM gave me so much attitude when I came late after she mentioned i would be able to come within an hour window. No appointment conformation was made and when I tried calling before I went nobody picked up the phone. She really made it seem like she did not want to do business after she said I wouldnt be able to come till the following week. They were really busy and clearly werent holding together.

Kristen and her team were incredible to work with. I highly recommend this team. We had gone to another shop and felt very uncomfortable with the level of professionalism. We searched around and came across Miramar Auto. They were honest and transparent with all of the repairs on our 2003 Toyota Tacoma. They made a customer for life.

Excellent customer service here!! I always feel completely taken care of here and can trust that they are being honest with me. On top of that, I had to get my alternator replaced today and they went to go get the part and replaced it within 2 hours and then their shuttle service came to pick me up.

Owner posted untruthful info! Read the end.I called 04.26 to check what was the mileage of my each car and the date of last oil change as I like to proactively take care of my car. The lady who responded, was not able to even read back correct info from system, saying that because they say she is new, a month at least. She said for mileage requirement on car 1 I am due every 3500, I asked if she is sure, then she said 5k, then I said I thought it is 7500, then she said yes! On car 2 she gave me a date as Jan 2021 while today on a very unpleasant appointment which led to no service, on the call w Brian, owner of 4 shops, he told me it was Feb 2020 and then Kristin lied to him on call and said I only called to know when I was last there. I am an engineer, and a professor, I know why I called, they lie right before you. I was given an appointment for today for complimentary oil change, since 2 technicians reported the oil dark and last time in Jan Kristin spoke me out of it, talking about combustion for mercedes.but when 2 technicians report dark, then it must be. Then I heard her on Tuesday going to garage and yelling why do you tell customer the oil is dark! I got concerns immediately for future as the technicians would have fear to tell truth! The 1st technician, Hector is not there anymore?! And I am concerned for Coles. Kristin gave me oil change compliment this time as 2 people said oil is dark. Today when I got in, she said she talked to Brian and I have to pay. I said at least you could have the courtesy to let me know b4 my appt. Brian on the phone said u havent wasted time, u r there to change and I said no I have a choice and I asked the front desk to give me history of my cars as I would not trust to step in. Brian said he watched the video from Tuesday and Kristin said I needed to pay then, funny enough Kristin did not deny that the oil change appt was complimentary, just said she had to get approval from Brian and that she does not want to loose her job over oil change. I guess they prefer to loose a customer! shop was good when Tyler was there. He left, Hector left, Tony another front desk guy, Tony or Anthony left. When I gave them 5 stars they asked me to put the review everywhere, now would be interesting! If a shop cannot correctly tell me what was my mileage at the last oil change and what is the mlg requirement for a car, I cannot continue the service. I did not have service today and when I was trying to email Brian when I heard Kristin incorrectly said I called for last visit mileage vs mileage at last oil service, Kristin threatened to call 911 and then she called a non emergency number and kept verbally threatening me to leave since she does not want a scene at the shop. Earlier o. She had told me I am so nice she cannot imagine how someone would not be nice to me. On April 27th when I went it for fluid check, I took a small package of chocolate for them and I have tipped the driver or technician so you bet I am nice and I need a shop who honor their word and can provide accurate info on my cars reg my services. The business has immediately replied with additional lies and wrong information. I have not been banned from any shop or any dealership. He wanted me to pay for oil change appointment complimentary of Kristen, and i chose not to. I informed him I have a choice and I asked Gina to print me the history to leave for good.as a business owner he lied.. Kristen yelled at technician why you tell customer the oil is dark and this was the second technician.. the first no longer works. He said different than Kristen. 3 employees I know no longer work there.. Kristen impersonated herself calling a subaru shop to prove them wrong to me. How would a business owner post untrue information on Internet? His shop cannot even accurately provide me with my mileage and date for last oil service and the mileage requirement for oil change. I asked him to respect and no future email. I will follow up with his inaccurate statement on me being banned from shops and on posting my car models without my permission.

Outstanding service, from an honest, and reliable shop. I do a lot of work on my own vehicles and its rare for me to turn to a shop for regular or specialized maintenance. Ive been listening to Brians automotive radio show for several years and have come to respect the principles this business stands for and the expertise they share with the community. When it was time for me to trust someone to take care of my car, I put my trust in Wests Miramar location. The service was impeccable, communication excellent. and pricing was fair. Options were thoroughly explained, and the repair was done right. I give this shop the highest recommendation. Integrity in this business is hard to find, but these guys have it. Gained a customer for life.

I have been taking my 3 vehicles here since Brian opened the shop at Kearny Mesa. I am satisfied with services I got so far. Everyone there is knowledgeable and friendly. I have recommended this place to few of my friends. They are all satisfied. The repair prices are reasonable. They will check your vehicle thoroughly but they will not pressure you to repair there. Much much better than car dealers.

I went to West Miramar for a Smog Test, which is something that I didnt look forward to doing. But it was such a pleasant experience from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. The prices were fair, and it was a very professional and easy experience. I highly recommend them, and I will be going back for future automative needs.

I had my car towed into this shop on Dec 8, 2020. I was quoted for about $200 for removing and installing wheel studs on one wheel hub on my 2004 Honda Civic. No receipt was given to me upon request. 1st Red Flag.I received a call the next morning Dec 9, 2020 and was now quoted for about $500 due to them stating that my wheel hub was broken. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and agreed to pay.I stopped by the shop at 5:00 pm to pick up my car. Before I went into the office to pay, I inspected the wheel studs and found that 3 out of 4 of my wheel studs had lug nuts. This is an intentional incomplete job. 2nd Major Red Flag.I told them that it’s unsuspecting that a $500 job didn’t include all 4 lug nuts. I then asked for my broken wheel hub.A mechanic gave me a wheel hub and a second mechanic confirmed that the wheel hub presented was my wheel hub.I angrily told them that this is not my wheel hub because they gave me a wheel hub that had 5 wheel studs and my car only has four 4 wheel studs. 3rd Major Red Flag.A third mechanic then gave me my actual wheel hub from a hidden corner and then nobody could show me where it was broken. 4th Major Red Flag.I was told that I couldnt get my keys unless I paid the total amount. No receipt was given.I paid them the total and will never return! Kristin Snider, take accountability for your bad work!

Just got my car smog checked here and it was super easy and fast! I was able to request an appointment online and Todd was very quick to follow up and very responsive (I was the one lagging on responding).In and out in about 20 min and everything went great. Todd is super friendly and helpful, and I would recommend this place for a quick smog check when you need it.Thanks for everything!

Over the many years of my life I have had the opportunity to go to countless auto repair shops. Without question, the people at West Miramar Automotive & Transmission put people first, they have incredible principles, and you can tell within minutes they absolutely love helping people. I have been to their other store in Escondido, and I had the very, same experience. Clearly this is not by chance, but it is the result of leadership that is principle-centered, and who cares about their employees as well as their customers. Today was my first visit to the Miramar store, and as someone that realizes it seems like everyone seems to be looking for an honest mechanic, I am happy to share my story. I am confident that if you go to any of their stores, you will feel the same way as I do.

Bought my 1998 Toyota corolla for a smog check. It failed the test and so gave the go ahead for the diagnosis. So far so good. Couple of days later I was called and told that all I had to do was: replace spark plugs /replace the O2 sensor and flush the engine and it would pass the test. Given the age of my car I asked the question twice and both times I was told yes with full confidence. I assumed they know their field of work so said yes. One week later was told that it still was not passing and all i had to do was drive it thru 2 full tanks of gas to flush out the bad gas. So now did that and bought it in for a re-test. 4 days later they call. They ask Do you want the good news or bad news (as if im playing a game of 800$). It did not pass. Upon inquiry, a long winded explanation of how my car was old etc... I depended on their so called expertise and knowledge to let me know if my car was fixable. If they did not give me the assurance that they could not guarantee a fix, I would not bother spending approx 800$ on a 22 year old car. I guess I learnt my lesson about their service.

Todd and Jamie are the best! My daughters car broke down and we had her vehicle towed to West Miramar Automotive. They could not help us but recommend someone who could and was very helpful and understanding through the whole process of us having to tow her vehicle to another location. We are not from the area but they treated the situation as if we were regulars. I highly recommend this business for your automotive needs of oil change or tire service. Thank you Todd and Jamie! My son flew in from FT Bliss for to see family and friends. On the way home from the airport, my truck ( 98 F150) started to misfire. we got home pulled the code P0354, My son who is an ARMY mechanic agreed to replace the faulty coil pack. after replacing the pack the misfire was still present so I decided to take it to West Miramar for diagnosis and repair. I assumed ( incorrectly) that it was the coil. They took excellent care of my truck, it took a little longer to find as it was a wire harness fault but Jamie, ( my hero), kept me informed of the progress daily. I highly recommend West Miramar.

People were friendly, however the cost of 757 dollars for one caliper and a rotor replacement, is outrageous...just one. Had a similar issue with my other car had four caliper and rotors replaced for the same price at a mechanic up the street. I will not be coming back, beware if you stop here because it will cost you.
