The cars are hit or miss, some of them seemed like a good deal, but without test driving its hard to know exactly what you are getting. This would be a great option for buying your first car, however none looked like they would last very long as a daily driver. They post some basic information about each car but no Carfax report or anything that seemed legit. They say they passed smog but a few of them had service engine lights on and one didnt even start up.
Horrible experience! Spoke over the phone re: a car and was assured the condition was great (understanding that I had to travel from a distance to view the vehicle). After test driving the vehicle, which was NOT in good running order, telling the employee about the issue and making an offer WELL within the posted asking price, I was told that the vehicle would now cost $500 MORE than the posted asking price, and that the vehicle was capable of being driven without needing work, even though it would not accelerate as it should when the pedal was down. Complete waste of time, and I was lied to before even driving the distance to view the vehicle. Do not give these people your money.
Went to purchase a truck that their website shows as available. Was told by unfriendly man who was apparently working their that the vehicle was not available because it is in the shop getting a catalytic converter because it wouldnt pass smog. The man told me that it could be back tomorrow, or in 6 months! Very shabby-shoddy operation. You must pay in cash for a vehicle. They dont take credit or debit cards. They add about $350 in fees for the purchase price of any vehicle they sell outright or, at Auction up to about $4k. They add about $400 in fees if the vehicle sells for up to $5k. Website is not kept up to date with the inventory of available vehicles. (A) vehicle that you want to buy, or bid on at auction may or may not be there when you get there. Be very careful at this place. Make sure you know what youre going to pay for any vehiclein advance plus all of their fees added onto the purchase price.
Thank you for all your support on this matter... Following up on the purchase of the car that didnt pass smog... Two weeks later, I just wanted to be fair and share with you that one of the Auction owners, is dealing directly with me. He is definitely a different level, fortunately; he is turning things around making this a pleasant experience; he is definitely taking action and making things right - more to come on that; Im just waiting to see if he follow through with it... Stay toon for more details soon.
Wow open to the public! Can also buy before Auction starts👍
You do not want to get close to this place, the worse experience I ever had.
Please know that I just recently purchased a car from this Auction last month 3/6/2021, and the car has a problem with passing the smog. The problem is the catalyst; even though they claim the cars are smog prior to selling. I took the car back to them to take action on it, (its illegal to sell a car that has that type of problem), it has been a week and I am still waiting to see what the outcome is going to be. I hope they take care of business and do the right thing by getting the car fixed. I will keep you posted on their solution.
Steve and Fabian are some of the best bartenders Ive ever had
I bought car from this Auction. The Owner is an Iranian and he isnice person some time I like to chat with him.
Some caucasian guy argued with auctioneer that he wanted to bid on a car for 3500 today but auctioneer said it was only opening not asking price which he said was 4700. If 4700 is asking bid dont offer opening bid for 3500
I had the opportunity to visit. I went for one vehicle, but bought another. After a week of driving around, my impression was that it was a very good purchase. It was clean, smoged, and continues to run well. If you have any car experience, you will be happy with your purchase. I was. And I will look there again.
If im being honest,Im being generous with the 2 stars. I purchased a bmw x3 2 yrs ago but got there late and never checked online. I got a decent deal and the car was great. So now I went today and Ive been on their website constantly for months. The website shows almost 300 cars but the day of the auction was like 50. Then what really bothered me and I consider complete FALSE ADVERTISING or at the very least false representation is that online it will say a car starting bid is for example $2500 but when they start the bidding they will start it at $4000. If thats not misleading then I dont knownwhat is. It made me completely change my tactics of how and what I bid on. I never leave reviews on Google unless Im extremely happy with a company or extremely unhappy and today is the latter of the 2. Couldve had a customer for life everytime I purchase a car but not anymore.
Personable staff, good selection of autos, highly recommended
Fun place to go if you need a sweet ride. My current car ive purchased there and all still good and a heck of a deal! There fair and friendly! Worth checking out and bring snacks!
I bought a ford from this place, but when I went to do my paperwork the plate came back to a Lincoln. I thankfully took pictures of everything after having to give my car and paperwork to the police. But best believe a lawsuit will be on the way
Hello everyone, be careful buying a car from here. In fact, theres a car in particular shown in one of the photos that looks exactly like the car I just sold to the state to be dismantled. The car had 21 problems. Its a gamble and I recommend that a seasoned mechanic be on the scene before making a purchase. Good luck! 👍
The people there are great!! very helpful! they dont start at the minimum bid but at their MARKET price. we saw some nice cars go for good prices but also a couple of lemons. you have to look under the hood and take it for a test drive!! even then we got a car that was missing the transmission cap and got it home with transmission fluid all over the compartment and transmission is slipping now.
Went in not knowing what to expect, super friendly staff and helpfull.
Looks like one of the main guys - he was SUPER RUDE - if you ask questions he is IRRITATEDIt’s Monday - maybe he’s having a bad day - but after 3 minutes he gave me the “LEAVE, LEAVE FAST” feeling. You cant test drive cars unless your gonna buy pay the HIGH end price of what it worth.I was at the auction on Saturday, came monday to check the car out since it didn’t sell (and there were no bidders for the car) and he wanted me to pay $1500 ABOVE the auctioneer price, and there were no bidders. - JUST TO TEST DRIVEI told him, I don’t know how much I want to pay but I want to wait for the day of the auction. - he didn’t let me test drive it.They say you can take to mechanic - the reality is NO, they don’t let you.
They need to updated there inventory all the cars that i wanted to go see were sold already. I email them the day before no response and call but no one answered. What a waste of time
The people there have to deal with a variety of people so initially they can come off a little gruff and some might even call it rude. However once you demonstrate to them that youre a serious buyer and not just there to waste their time, you dont ask inane questions, and you remember that ultimately they are a business trying to make money theyll warm up to you. They actually make me want to buy a second car just because it took a couple of visits and a little bit of research on my end and they were expeditious and very helpful getting all the paperwork in hand even with covid 19 dragging the state to a halt.
Bought a car, got what I paid for. Will go again next time I need another vehicle
Great place to buy used autos, very well priced and great customer service. The auctioneer brothers were great too!
Minerva is great and very friendly
These people were not open when they said they would be, refused to answer the phone and when we finally did make it through the gates refused to help us find the vehicle we were looking for. When we tried to make an offer on another vehicle the man put his hand up in my face and refused to negotiate. I would not shop here again.
Didnt buy anything. Not willing to give much info prior to the auction. Check the buyers premium before. Website showed car available that had been sold. Felt weird, like me against them. Bidding minimums are not the auction sale starting price, reserve not met.
You wonder why you dont sell cars, ppl are looking at your website and seeing cars you already sold but havent updated your inventory on YOUR webpage.. basically your e-commerce storefront.. I saw a Passat on your site it was the 2nd week it was up (no mr employee who told me your webpage was updated daily it isnt updated daily) I figured on possibly purchasing this car, after the auction was over I wanted the vehicle history chk sheet ( that should be posted with the car on your website, seriously it so easy to upload to a webpage these days whoevers doing your page maintenance is just lazy) I figured the car would go up next weekend only to be told they have 1 Passat and it wasnt tha one I wanted.. ( webpage at the moment I was told they only had 1 Passat showed they had 5 Passats ) So if youre really wondering why you arent selling that many cars, perhaps ppl are looking for what your website says is your inventory. ( Walmart can keep track of millions of products and whats on what shelf where and if theyre out, you cant even inventory control 150 cars ) Try keeping your customer facing inventory list current and Id bet youd sell alot more cars.. ( Ill never get the time you wasted of mine back by not managing your business correctly!) But I wont be wasting anymore time on this or your place of business, thanks for nothing
Great place to start for a first time auction. Manager walks around and talks to people. He even told us about a car he didnt like while we were looking. They have food and drinks and raffles. A large selection of good cars, more foreign than expected. A great experience overall.
Decent prices on vehicles. Staff are helpful.
Car I bought here looked nice and well taken care of. But it had some underlying engine issues I was not informed about. And not worth fixing. So basically threw my money away. BUYER BEWARE
The prices start at high wholesale. You will get a decent car yes go test drive it but you usually overpay on each car
Best place to get a sweet deal 3 to 5 grand will get you a gem!
I JUST BOUGHT A 2006 SCION TC CAR THE ENGINE OVERHEATS, STOPS AFTER 50 MILLAS FROM THE YARD THEN BLOWS SILICONE FROM THE ENGINE. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I DO NOT RECOMEND BUY THERE.....I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED.
I looked at reviews for this place before going and it seemed it was either 5 stars or 1 with nothing in the middle. So here is my honest and yes they earned it 3 star review. First this is during Covid so the auction itself isnt happening right now but they are still selling cars if you go down. I did find an older 2005 Corolla with decent miles on it and almost bought it. The problem came between the guy on the lot doing the selling and the guy in the office actually writing up the deal. I price I was given without haggling on the car was 3200. Honestly not bad and in line with the research I had been doing on prices. The problem is that didnt include their fee, and then the smog certificate fee and then another fee.... add it up suddenly the car is closer to 3,500 before taxes. Then there was the registration. The guy on the lot told me it was current only the sticker had been stolen. I asked for proof and low and behold it was at least 1 year behind if not 2. They honestly were not sure based on the report from the DMV and left it up to me to call the DMV and figure it out. The bottom line was once everything was said and done the 3000 ish I planned on spending on a car for my son was quickly creeping up to 4k. I also noticed while I was there their website is no where near up to date. There are cars I inquired about while I was there that had been sold still on their site more than 2 weeks later. Im not saying this place is bad or a bad deal you just need to make sure you do your homework first. Visit to confirm what they have on the lot take the time to have a mechanic check it out and make them put all the fees on the table before you agree to a price. I bought a similar car from a mom and pop dealership a week later out the door for 3400.
Andrew was amazing and very helpful, took his time to show me around.. and yes they encourage you to take top a mechanic, you should do that with any used car
Ray was great. Good price. Better service than some of the big dealerships. Ray answers the phone. He took care of me. I bought a beautiful car.
Amazing customer service! I went and did a test drive, loved the car, bought the car, went to drive it off the lot and it wouldnt start. Thats usually my luck haha. BUT the owner, Ray, stands behind his cars. He had repairs done and got it running for me. Ive had it a week now and I love the car! :) Ill definitely be back one day when I need another car!
Got a car from the auction and went to put the title in my name and the tags had a fake 2020 sticker and car hadn’t been registered since 2018. Be sure to run the vin before buying !!! They don’t care if they sell you a car with fake tags
Waste of time. They do not have the inventory they say they do.
I had a great experience buying a 2007 Sprinter Van from Auto Auction of San Diego. Im writing this review eight months after I purchased the vehicle, and I can still say I would do it all again if I needed to.Bill and Ray were straightforward, represented the vehicles condition honestly, and did everything I asked of them to make the sale. They facilitated the transportation of the van to Oregon and helped me with the registration process. Bill was the salesperson and his communication was TOP SHELF.Buying an automobile can be nerve-wracking and unsettling. Everyone seems to have at least one story of a sale gone bad for one reason or another. I went into this sale with my guard up, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how satisfying (and relieving) it turned out to be.Big ups, Bill and Ray! Highly recommended!
The Turkish guy in the back is extremely rude and dismissive of customers. Tried to run game on me with blue book values way overestimated with aftermarket parts. Had to walk out as he insulted myself and my girlfriend. Walked right across the street to Ameer autos superior service walked out with a 2010 Subaru Impreza for WAY better than these con artists were offering. Youve been warned.
Thank for adding this valuable feature back! (PLEASE ADD FREE AUTO CHECK AGAIN! Being able to view the vehicle history made everything feel very transparent.) Friendly, Fair, Honest, Negotiable. Allowing me to take the vehicle for an extended test drive and over to my mechanic to inspect prior to purchase as well as being flexible with the price will have me coming back again when the time is right.
Disappointed from what they show on their web site and what they actually have on the lot. Not worth the trip
Great experience for me being the first time I have been to an auction. Bought a Honda Prelude for a great price! Everyone was so helpful, I test drove 3 vehicles before deciding and checked with my mechanic. Very happy with the car. Definitely would recommend to friends and family. I am an Uber driver and will be purchasing a car for just that when I find the right one also!
Purchased a 1992 4Runner in October with a 130 thousand miles. I could not be more pleased with the service I received when I purchased the vehicle, and I could not have picked a better vehicle if I tried. God bless you all and thank you all for doing good and honest work.
Service people are very nice. Some of the inventory is on the lower end. But overall seem like a decent place to buy if you are knowledgeable about cars..
Been dealing w Ray for over 25 years. Hes trustworthy, honest and fair. Just got a great deal on a Highlander for a family member
Good vehicles good service
You can get a good deal on a good car if you do your home work. Unfortunately it is somewhat tainted by the shyster car salesmen that run the place. They will tell you anything and give you false information to make a sale. DO NOT pay the buy now price as they try to push on you throughout the week. I saw over 100 cars go through the auction Saturday and no car even came close to reaching the buy now price.I also suspect some of the reserve prices being adjusted during the auction process,.. Sketchy. Make sure and get your potential car checked out by a mechanic beforehand, dont pay the buy now price and dont trust the salesmen.
Its a good place to buy a good running car for cheap.. on salvage titles and all are ready to pass smog..
This is an organized scam.. The auctioneer and his accomplices standing just rack up the price without anyone bidding on the car. You should watch carefully who youre bidding against because they more often than not accept bids from ghosts just to reach their desired price. This should not be called an auction. Bidders just be aware!!
My husband and I went here because we both needed a car at the same time (let me tell you, most frustrating thing ever). We found a handful of cars at other places then a friend told us to check here. We got our cars here but I would not recommend it or go back, not unless you need something inexpensive and quick. My car had an stereo with nav that they took out and told me did not exist. My husbands car is a stick shift that is misfiring in first gear. I informed them of brake issues in my car when I was test driving and he told me I didnt know what I was talking about. We got past all of that because we knew we could fix a lot of it for a fair price ourselves and got the two cars at a price we wanted but our biggest issue? The man we dealt with gave us a hard time because we paid him with a cashiers check, not cash. He didnt show up to work the day he told us the car would be ready. They cashed our check and told us it didnt clear yet they werent sure if it was real. Then they sent someone else you deal with us and they were astounded my name was going on both the cars; it was so rude. They asked us to lie about the mileage and sale price to the DMV which I confirmed with them would be fraudulent on my part. If you go-know your stuff and be cautious
Bought a 2001 Acura TL never used and auction before and was naturally suspicious. Did wait for auction and bought car for asking price before it went up for auction. Ray the owner did smog and fixed AC for free after I bought it and the car runs great. I recommend anyone looking for a GREAT deal on a car and fantastic service to use this company. Thanks Ray and all the guys down there.
Not sure about these guys had a deliverie and interested in a car for my son he act like he didnt want to be bothered
Pretty good prices if you are looking to flip or an affordable car.
Good place to go on a Thursday before the auction
Staff was helpful, but dont be fooled by the website. Its only updated once a week, and a lot of cars are sold before the auction on Saturday.
The owner / older gentleman (has grey beard) has a bad attitude. Rude and not helpful.
Volvo 03 2500!!! Thank God we were able to get it right away!
Got a car and it was dumping water. They had their mechanic work on it and its running better now. Hopefully it will continue onward.
Rude help, no idea of inventory. Typical California attitude. Another wanna be like New York.
DO NOT BUY HERE!!! ALL THEIR CARS HAVE PROBLEMS BECAUSE THEY GET FREE DONATED CARS THAT ARE JUNK.
Nice selection of cars. Really good prices. I had never been to an auction before but it was actually easier than buying from a dealer. I bought my first car from them for myself but then sold it on craigslist and made good profit. I have since bought 4 cars here, all trouble free. The AutoCheck history on their site helps to pick the right cars. Good place to pick up cars and flip them for extra $ or get a daily driver for yourself.
Hit or miss on selection of cars
Bought a car from these people not too long ago and after only a week of having it, both the battery and the alternator went out. STAY AWAY from these cars unless you have a mechanic check them out beforehand. They DO NOT inspect these cars so you need to make sure you do so yourself or get someone you trust to do it for you.
Friendly staff ..purchased a vehicle ..and was satisfied w the purchase ..as always ..do your homework on any used vehicle purchase ..
Multiple poor ratings on internet, warnings about doing business here. These guys are supposedly scam artists...I dont recommend.
Just monitor the auction listings for a couple months and you will notice a pattern. The cars dont sell, the just get re-churned. When you go to the auction they have fake bidders, I guess theyre called ghost bidders from reading other reviews. I also witness a person win a bid only to be told we have to call the front office to verify this price is ok. They said this over the loudspeaker! wow. This is NOT an true auction. The prices on many of these older cars is high to begin with, never mind the fees.
This place is a joke. I watch bidding n its a scam. Promised me something and totaly lied about it. Very ukntrustworthy. And they bandaid cars together. Could get nicer on craigslist for less money. I will never return or suggest to anyone.
I bought a few cars from these people or the last several months. I know a lot about cars enabled over hundred 25 personally. I am never have never been a car dealer. This company has always treated fair and even when there was a problem they would take care of it. In one case they even put new front struts last RAV4 I bought before the auction so it would be ready for me to bid on. Ive been looking for a 2006 to 2000 made RAV4 for over a year and finally found one at this location will price. Im not saying that you should go there and think every car is perfect. You need to take advantage of the ability to take a test drive.Even Barrett Jackson and Mecam classic car auctions that you can see on television on the velocity channel, with all their high-end vehicles and huge prices figure for those cards will not allow you to so much as start the engine of a car before you buy vit. There is no test drive everything sold as is where is. While a lot of cars of my life, you have to take a test drive and bring somebody with you that knows what to look for.Im sure I will be buying again from this company.
Rady owner is an awesome gentleman and places great I set there and listen to several options but never purchased yet
That was funAlot of great deals.
Very Nice Had A Great Experience 👍👍
Most of the cars in the inventory are worth what they have for any opening bid. this is pathetic
Pretty nice and helpful. I was there to look at a car that they were selling (not at auction).
SCAM THAT’S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!
Website isnt accurate. Came in looking for some trucks that the website showed and they didnt have them.
I think thdy migjt roll back
First timer found it informative and interesting
Great place to buy your car!
Kind of a dump of cars for saleMost in rough condition. Hard to get questions asked on how process works
Great place to buy a car
Limited vec. Ok auction
When I went to go check on the car out of the car was not even smogged. We took the car to a mechanic to get it checked and there was so many issues with it that there was no way we could buy it
Car lasted three weeks until the throw-out bearing blew up and left me stranded on the highway. Wouldnt recommend buying a car here.
Need a cheap car ...come here dont need to be a dealer .A lot of options
Is a joke...low end vehicles and bid stars at $3000....joke joke
Not good on weekdays wanted to buy a car directly paying cash and the dealer owners couldnt find the time to make the sale told us to come back on the auction day
Got a good deal.
Got a great deal on a Honda
They ripped us off big time.
This place a total scam they have ghost bidders bidding against you just to ramp up the sale price of the car i found this information out by an employee that worked there and was screwed over by this auction house.
No good
Weekly selection, good prices
Most cars are already Smogged
Weve gotten quite a few cars from them
Use to be betts
Try to over charge me!!!!
Great experience
