The office is mostly student ran and at first it’s easy to get mad and upset at them for not doing so great at their jobs but the main problem is with management. The workers never seem to be on the same page about policy and whatnot. I would not trust these reviews, the apartment gives incentive to write 5 star reviews that are not genuine at all. The parking situation is horrendous. I know people who have gotten their windows smashed multiple times and unless you contact the police, NOTHING can be done to help you. Regardless of how many cars get broken into or windows smashed, I have yet to see any improvement with security. The only thing i truly liked about the place were the nice maintenance men and the custodial staff.

I’ve lived here for the past two years and my only regret is not moving in sooner!! 5025 is incredibly community oriented which I love, and I have no complaints. They really do care about their residents and that’s easily visible. HIGHLY recommend living here, especially in you’re a student!

Although this property is not absolutely perfect (in my opinion) I am giving it 5 stars. The reason for this is the great work that the leasing manager Mr. Rob Davis performs at this property. He can help solving any problem and listens to the customers living on site. Throughout my tenancy at this property I really appreciated that he always listened to his customers and was always able to offer good solutions. Thank you very much!

I love the fact of how there is visitors parking inside the garage which a lot of complex’s do not offer. I paid to have my car in the leasing garage, and the complex refuses to install camera on the 7th floor where my car was broken into. I am a military man and if you are thinking about going to this complex I would ask you to ask the complex, what are they doing to protect your vehicle from being burglarized. Also my car got broken into for a second time in less than a month

I was completely amazed by the beauty of this place before even moving here ! Part of my personal favorite was the gym equipment being my favorite color (lime green) sooo cute !! The parking garage is so convenient so I dont have to walk in the HOT sun just to grab something from the car. The package center being available also makes me feel a lot safer my packages will be in my possession when I want. Other places you have to wait for office hours so annoying. The best part is with the bedroom leasing I have been able to make friends

After attempting to contact management multiple times they supposedly (after 4 months of delay) sent the gift card to my email. Trust me its not there. 5025 is a nice place to live. Having your own bathroom is a huge plus and if you have a double there is two huge closets, two fans, and two sinks. I have lived here for 3 months and have no regrets and am definitely considering renewing my lease. It’s a bummer that the gym and pool are closed down but that’s just bc of the pandemic but definitely something to consider. I would definitely recommend for any students in SD looking for off campus housing that still makes you feel a part of the school since we can’t go on campus right now.

If you’re looking for a terrible living situation at a somewhat reasonable price, this is the place for you! This place is a total catfish. The gym and pool have not been available for residents to use since shortly after we moved in. The unit they originally showed us is nothing like the unit we received. And dont you DARE make the mistake of putting your parking permit in the drivers side handle of your car instead of on the windshield. 5025 allows a tow company to enter the parking garage whenever they please to look for cars without permits displayed. I was parked in the space that I pay for and my car was towed. The towing company offers a discount specifically for 5025 residents bringing the cost down to $230 to get your car back. This must happen constantly to unsuspecting residents if they offer a discount for 5025. The units have spider problems, insect problems, and the AC vent in our room will not work properly. The maintenance doesnt know how to fix it. ALSO - 5025 offers people who have toured the complex Eureka gift cards if you write them a 5 star review. Dont fall for this scam. Attached is a photo of the view from the balcony of my unit. This view is also visible from my bedroom windows.

I would give 0 stars if I could. They have a horrible roach problem. I had to clear out my unit when I was slammed with work and school. Theyve entered my apartment + room without warning. The hallways smell like urine. I had a medical emergency I had to tend to the night before moving out and I told them and had no reply-- I understood there would be a fee but they instead charged me for damages made to my apartment? AND CLEANING? When I moved in the apartment was FILTHY. I thought it was just because I was subleasing (AKA taking over someones lease) but I was wrong. DO NOT MOVE HERE. They prey on teens and charge them for whatever they want. Thank god it was just for 3 months! :) If you need a place to call home.... This is not it. Keep looking.

These apartments are very overpriced, always filthy, and the staff is always rude. I was constantly being blamed for other people not picking up their dog’s waste, although I always pick up mine. I have been cornered and followed by male individuals trying to gain access to the buildings. I have had numerous occasions of residents cat-calling and harassing me, while out walking my dog, taking the trash out, and getting the mail. There have been dead rats and roaches all throughout the property. Although these apartments are non-smoking, everyone does and your room will constantly reek of marijuana. Also, there is no “quiet hours” as stated in the lease. In addition, one of the on-site security males tried to hit on me and asked me for my number. Furthermore, people always break into the cars if you’re parked on the street. Overall not a safe place to live, not dog friendly, not student friendly, and not wallet friendly.

The management here has absolutely screwed me over, and has refused to answer me. BOTH of my apartment doors broke, and because 5025 did not communicate properly, i ended up spending $250 on a locksmith that i did not need. It has been OVER A MONTH and after countless calls, emails, and in person visits there has been no replies whatsoever. not only that, but their parcel pending system is a joke. Ive received mail addressed to people that arent me, and because they lost the new credit card i was supposed to receive in the mail i had to spend an additional $25 on express shipping to be able to spend my own money. it may look good on the surface, but what really matters is incredibly flawed, and they apparently no problem disrespecting, and screwing you over.

I just moved into 5025 and have nothing good to say about it. I am a young EMT working during a pandemic and my roommates tested positive for Covid-19 after going to a party in the complex during a pandemic. I was not aware of this and completely removed myself from the complex when I heard of the exposure. It’s been a week and they have done nothing. I have emailed them countless amount of times and they respond short answered and with a failed solution. I repeatedly told them I can not work if I get this virus and continuously said I would like to discuss being released from my lease ( which they turned down). I gave them an options and they are trying to put me into another unsafe environment for only two weeks then to be put back into a contaminated room. They have nothing on the lease about Covid-19. It is an unsafe environment for anyone and I encourage you not to move in.

My recommendation: BE CAREFUL not to be scammed. Most of the leasing office staff is extremely incompetent and untruthful. If you plan to move in be aware of extra costs that the leasing office seems to hide such as parking fees, package delivery fees and extra utilities fees. After I moved out they charged me $50 for the parking sticker (Yes. A sticker. Probably worth 10 cents) even though the staff told me I was good to go and had nothing pending on my move out date. (I still had the sticker the day after and I offered to bring it to the leasing office, but they said they had already charged my account and that there was nothing they could do.Also, if you plan to move out be sure to be there when they check the cleanliness of your apartment. Otherwise they might tell you it is dirty and charge you 60 bucks for it.Again, BE CAREFUL and dont trust ANYONE at the leasing office. ESPECIALLY managers.

Living here was a genuinely terrible experience. At the time of my move-in in November, a leasing agent from their office told me that they had a special, and that my rent for the month of December would be waived. Come the end of the month, their management scams me, forcing me to pay the rent for the month of December, citing a technicality in my agreement that had been changed since I moved into the apartment. Most of my roommates were cold and unwelcoming, would constantly talk down on me, and constantly used my things without asking. Maintenance staff consists of two men and two men only, meaning that many things get neglected. The elevators seemed to be constantly out of order, and there did not seem to be an urgency about repairing them. The apartment’s management and staff care only about money and not about their residents. They tried to stop or slow me down at every step of the way as I tried to relet my apartment. I’m finally out of this place now, and am seriously grateful that I managed to get out before they could do more damage to me and my finances. DO NOT MOVE HERE. IT’S CHEAP FOR A REASON. I challenge management to respond to THIS review, instead of only acknowledging their positive ones.

I have lived at 5025 Apartments for about 3 years. I left after the first year but then came back. No other apartment in San Diego gives you more value than 5025 Apartments. What really brought me back was the friendly responsive staff, and included utilities and furniture. Its really sad to see all of these bad reviews because of passive aggressive tactics by slighted roommates who are too afraid to speak up over minor issues like taking the trash out or having guests over. Half of these reviews wouldnt be here if these immature teenagers would just speak up and confront people like adults and not go crying to mommy. As far as all these claims of roaches, the only reason any apartment would have roaches is because you dont take your trash out or do the dishes because youre waiting for your roommate to do it, who by the way, never will. I have had my apartment treated for roaches because of messy roommates, after I repeatedly told them to clean up after themselves.I brought my concerns to management, and they were very helpful in getting us scheduled for treatment right away and offering roommate mediation so that these children can learn to clean. We set up a cleaning schedule which has been implemented and has improved our roach problem significantly. The staff do their best. For young adults they are incredibly mature and show incredible restraint because the way that some people treat the staff is deplorable and downright mean. I have seen grown adults scream and spit at these poor college kids, just trying to make a little money and earn job experience. You should all be ashamed of yourselves and not be so entitled. That is why I give 5025 Apartments 5 stars. Any other person would naturally react by fighting back or yelling back, but this staff does not. I have renewed and plan to stick around 5025 until I graduate.

The leasing office pressures students into signing leases 9 months prior to their lease expiring. I moved here last school year, signed a lease and fulfilled it, was never late on rent. they left daily emails telling me to resign 9 months prior or i wouldnt get their special rate. I was leary but signed it to secure an affordable place to live, then covid hit, they are completely unwilling to let anyone out of their lease even though it was signed 9 months prior, and they are now giving new walk in residents a cheaper rate than what i was given, (the whole purpose in signing the lease), so i was also lied to about the rate. The employees in the leasing office are rude, hang up on you when they dont want to answer questions and wont give out any information on how to speak to management. There were roommate issues with a particular person and i was only told they would schedule a meeting to resolve it but never did. I have asked numerous times to return my keys and do a walk through but no one has responded to me about any of it. It is really about greed, because if you can get someone to sign a lease nine months prior without knowing what the future holds that far ahead, then threaten them with collections and destroying their credit. Very unethical and unprofessional to pray on college students and take advantage of them in this way. I graduated ucsd had four years of different living situations and never had a bad experience until living at fifty twenty five. Just a warning, be very careful about signing a lease here.

While this property is an outwardly attractive place, its inner soul is selfish, cold, and unattractive. In recent weeks, (as of 06 Aug. 2020) The property management company has decided not to accommodate new students coming into San Diego; to attend S.D.S.U., during the COVID-19 Pandemic. These apartment leases were entered into in good faith, BEFORE the pandemic. No civilian saw this coming! Ergo, no civilian could have foreseen these difficulties. While the management company has the right to enforce the Letter of the agreement, it also has the OPTION to make more extensive allowances for Covid-19 impacted households. This level of greed and insensitivity is exactly what is wrong with Big Business. After this experience,..... I hope this business fails; turning over management responsibilities to a new and more REASONABLE management company. You disgust me!

I’m in the start of my third year of living here at 5025, and to be blunt, the WiFi and network speed has continued to weaken. I have five classes this semester, and it’s already been a struggle to get work done without having to connect to the hotspot in my phone. I’ve been given multiple notifications that the WiFi was undergoing “improvements” for faster speed, but I’m not sure if that ever even occurred. I went through multiple days last year without internet because of “WiFi improvements” but there hasn’t been any. Considering all campuses have completely converted to online courses, I can only imagine the daily use here will increase. I’m sure I am not the only person having this issue and would hope that this problem could be resolved. The WiFi is one 5025’s more advertised amenities, so I would hope as a long term resident along with all the new residents, we would be able to enjoy this amenity.

My son lives there and he enjoys it very much. He actually renewed his lease for the next academic year as the apartments are way better than the SDSU dorms. For each apartment bedroom, there is a bathroom attached to it so he doesnt have to share the bathrooms with everyone in the unit. Additionally, the washer/dryer inside each apartment is very convenient so he doesnt have to go to a laundromat or another part of the apartment bldg. The apartment also hosts many social events that residents can participate.

Caroline was so helpful when giving my group a tour of the property. The apartments are really nice and come furnished. Lots of amenities and great resources for students who will be living here.

I’ve been living here for 2 1/2 years and I honestly love it. I didn’t know anyone when I first moved in, but everyone has been so welcoming and ive made new friends from being here. The apartments itself are nice, and the rooms are a perfect size for the price. Very affordable, compared to other apartment complexes.

One of the many issues I dealt with this apartment was that 5025 left me and my roommate without running water all weekend. Workers came in on a Saturday morning unannounced at 6 am and started working on our apartment. I had surgery that day so I left early, however upon arriving back to the house later that day I found my apartment unlocked and left open for any visitor. To make matters worse my apartment was left without running water and I was not made aware of this until I contacted management personally. When approached about this issue, the management simply told me there was nothing they could do and said I had to wait till Monday morning. I was left without a working toilet, shower and could not even prepare any food in my apartment from Saturday until Monday. To make matters worse 5025 just asked us to pay a utility bill that they were late to charge us on at the end of the month before we move out. It is extremely hypocritical that 5025 asks its tenants to be responsible about paying there bills, when they themselves cannot provide even the basic necessities of a lease. They simply offered no help to me and told me all I could do was wait.(Be wary of these fake reviews, 5025 never actual helps these complaints, they just write responses on here).

5025 apartments for what it was worth was a great place to live. The staff was helpful, and it was an overall good community. It was quiet, and the facility was maintained regularly so it looked as when I first arrived there. Being a SDSU student, this place was a great alternative to living on campus, as the dorms at state are way more expensive, yet this place was considerably cheaper for the same type of lifestyle. Highly recommend.

The community itself is amazing with the upkeep from not only the staff but the maintenance. They all work hard to everything in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend the community to others especially in the area we are.

Fifty Twenty-Five Apartments holds up very well for any student or person looking to live comfortably! With great service and convenience to their residents, this is one of my favorite places to have stayed. It’s also very convenient for any student at SDSU because housing can be extremely expensive for students and this is a great alternative, plus it’s close by! The staff was amazing and it’s somewhere I would recommend for any person!!!

This is my second year living at 5025 Apartments and each day I feel more and more at home. This complex does such a great job of creating a close community within a bigger community, and it has made living away from family such an easy transition. From their community events, facilities, and staff care, Ive always felt really welcomed. The amenities are really great and the staff does a good job of maintaining the property, which makes me proud to live here.

The property and people here make San Diego a wonderful place to call home. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained daily. The people in the front office are very helpful. I have lived here for over a year now and I would never imagine moving from my comfortable home.

The worst experience in San Diego! Please read this before moving in.The staff is not friendly, they are all kids that don’t know about customer satisfaction. I could tell by the body lenguaje that they didn’t know the answer, but they didn’t bother even asking to the managers. Lazy staff!! Talking with them is like talking with an ATM:(I’m too lazy to ask) “No”“This is the policy”“It’s on the contract”Every time I went there, it seemed like they were paying me to live there.I got a share room with a stranger and signed a lease for a year (I know, my bad). They’re supposed to match some questions to place you with the right roommates. They do not do that! My three other roommates were smoking all day, I tried to handle the situation and I couldn’t. I asked for help many times, the answer was always no, sometimes before even asking. They offered me the subleasing option (thank you for helping). Instead of doing an inspection to the apartment, they said they could send an email that they were smoking, yes they could help sending an email! (thanks for helping again). Not to mention that they charge you for everything like mail lockers, parking, “extra utilities”, change of room (300 like why). The computers never worked well, and the printing machine was down 1/3 times I tried to print out.The shuttle was every 20 min, then they changed to every 30 after 5pm because they were expending to much money on gas and drivers.I would not recommend to sign a lease. You can find better places for the same or even lower prices around. Not to mention that they are trying to increase the rating with very suspicious comments.

The cost of rent is very affordable for the area. The staff are very fast and receptive to my needs and answer my questions or help me as quickly as I ask them. Its a great place to live as a student as the complex offers shuttles to campus.

I’m currently a third-year in SDSU, and a one-year resident of 5025 apartments. I initially lived in the dorms at the university, but became way too expensive as I was going into my last few years of schooling. I chose 5025 apartments due to its convenient proximity to the campus, reasonable rent, and cleanliness of the location itself. After having only lived here for a year, I can undoubtedly say it’s amazing! The staff are incredibly helpful and approachable, and I have had no problems since my move. To say the least, I am happy with my choice :)

Living here was one of the best choices I made while at SDSU! It was easily accessible to campus without being overly priced like the dorms were & any problems I had were solved smoothly and efficiently by the staff. The staff was always helpful and helped my experience living here one of the best! It was an amazing choice.

The staff was super friendly during the event. They have a variety of options ranging from Nutella to fruits. It was a great way to the morning before a day full of classes. 5025 is very accommodating to its residents, great event!

I would not give them even 1 star if I had a choice. The complex might look nice at first but once you get inside, you would not want to live there even for a day. NEVER EVER CLEAN, not professional staff at the office, and good luck talking to the manager. Im actually an easy going person and not too picky but I can tell you that I wasted my money and time there for a year. Only thing that was OKAY there was the maintenance services because they were fast BUT THEY WOULDNT CARE IF YOU REQUESTED TO SET UP A TIME FOR YOU TO BE THERE RATHER THAN THEM COMING TO YOUR APARTMENT WHEN YOURE NOT HOME. Give a second thought if youre moving in.

The management is incompetent and full of students who cannot help out with anything. The apartment is not worth the price. Keep these apartments as your last choice. The building is never kept clean and the place is infested with roaches.People often ride with lime bikes inside the parking lot and damage cars.I have also had a couple of amazon package get stolen. My move-in experience was the worst, there was no furniture at all in the room when I entered, I had to fight with the office to get them the same day.
