We are extremely happy with the windows that 1st Place Windows provided us. They are exceptional quality and the installation work was fantastic. The quality of these windows is one of the reasons we picked this company. The second reason was Larrys knowledge of his product and his commitment to making sure we, the customer, are satisfied with the job his company performs. Larry worked with us along the way to ensure we were happy with the final result. We had several concerns that he took care of to our satisfaction and his knowledgeable team helped us resolve several problems our home came with. Larry repeatedly came out to the work site to ensure all was running smoothly and continued to check in with us after the job was done to ensure our happiness with his companies work. We think that the money we spent with 1st Place Windows was money extremely well spent! The comfort of our home has improved dramatically! Every time I drive down my driveway and see the result of our new windows I am thrilled. Not only has it made a major improvement on the look of our home, but our home is a ton quieter and a ton more comfortable now. When San Antonio weather hit 100 degrees our poor air conditioner could not keep the temperature in the home at 80 degrees. Even running non-stop it could not hold that temp. Now, our home will cool to 77 degrees without the air running non-stop on 100 degree days! Worth the money! We tell every one we know who is looking to install new windows that 1st Place Windows not only has a exceptional product, but, they do an exceptional job.

Fantastic company to work with. They were the lowest bid and able to provide what other companies said didn’t exist. Extremely knowledgeable about all of the products available and they were able to give us exactly what we wanted. This was a major large window and sliding glass door replacement that was handled expertly. We would definitely use First Place Windows again. We cannot recommend them enough.

Our windows were installed in October 2018. I wanted to wait a while before posting a review to see how the windows held up during freezing and warm temperatures and rain. In South Texas, you can experience a range of weather variations between October-December. With that said, I am very pleased with the outcome of our new windows. The price was half what other companies had quoted. They are beautiful and well insulated. The installation team was professional, thorough and clean up was impeccable. Larry Bindel is an honest businessman and genuinely cares about his clients satisfaction. I referred him to my sister and two other friends. Highly recommend!

We bought a home that had been a rental. It had the original 20-year-old windows which were not in good shape and there were no screens. We had two companies come out to give us a quote on replacing the windows with double pane windows. The first company sent a salesman who tried to say hed go talk to his boss and get us a better deal. We never heard from them with a quote. Larry Bindel, the owner of First Place Windows, came out personally and walked the property with my husband. He gave us great advice on what kind of windows would look good. He gave us a reasonable quote right away. He was very flexible in responding to the changes we asked for and he even helped us accomplish a few other things at the house.The windows are GREAT! I can open my blinds and my house stays cool all day long. I love the way the windows make my house look from inside and outside.First Place Windows did a turn-key job. They did not leave a mess inside or outside of my home. Larry personally came back and inspected the final job and meticulously made sure everything was done and was done right. We had Larry and his helper replace the bedroom windows in our house this past weekend. They did such a great job. They did everything they promised and left the areas around the windows nice and clean.We were originally going to purchase the windows from a company in Austin and then pay a separate contractor to install them. However, we chose to go with Larry after he came out and measured and made recommendations that we wouldnt have gotten just by purchasing the windows by ourselves.Im sure glad we went with Larry. We obviously spent a little more (but cheaper than other companies that quoted us) but my husband was really worried about not measuring right so it was nice to have the peace of mind of someone professionally doing it.We could only afford to do the bedroom windows, but the first night with the new windows has to have been the best nights sleep Ive gotten in a long time (our house backs up to a major road, is within a mile of a railroad, and lies underneath a path the planes take to the airport). So it was amazing how much of the sound these windows block out.We will definitely be calling Larry again when we save up replace the remaining windows. Very respectful and reliable business man.

We have lived in our older home for over 30 years and still had 18 original wood-framed windows, that were single-paned, leaky and so loose in places I had vines growing through the cracks…plus our utility bills were out of sight!After asking around, going to a couple of local high-end window display stores, checking with the usual do it yourself suppliers and spending three or four hours online doing research, I ended up calling First Place Windows.Larry, the owner, promptly came to the house, carefully and clearly explained his product and brought samples. He also made several suggestions for improvements that enhanced the functional layout of one of the bedrooms, increased the privacy in the bathroom and the ease of use for the two windows flanking the fireplace.I had a deadline for installation to be done. Larry carefully measured my windows and his bid was almost 40% less than his competitors. I was SOLD!He quickly placed the order and the windows came in on time and the installation crew arrived and set to work. Larry, the owner personally delivered the windows to the house and confirmed everything was set. The installation crew was polite, careful and efficient.We have had the new windows for over two months now. The windows are so complementary to the look of our older home. The difference in the interior comfort of our home is dramatic. The views out the new windows are fantastic; we were doing double takes, the view was so clear, to make sure there was really a window there. I am so excited about the special coating that makes cleaning the windows a snap. I just use water and a microfiber cloth. They are sparkling!The special security setting is a plus, so I can have the widows open a few inches for the breeze, but they are locked so they can’t be opened any further.I highly recommend First Place Windows. Lovely people to work with and they have a high quality fairly priced product!

First Place Windows replaced all of the windows in my home. The price was the lowest price that I found. The work was completed in 2 days. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up as they went. We are very pleased. As a matter of fact, we were so pleased with the work that they did on our windows, we later had them come back and install our insulated patio cover which we are also very pleased with.We would highly recommend First Place Windows to anyone who wants to replace their windows or install a patio cover.

We got 3 bids and First Place Windows was superior in all respects. Larry Bindel explained everything about the windows in great detail. My wife and I were impressed with not only the windows but the presentation that he gave. He knows windows. We would have chosen First Place Windows regardless of price. They are that good. There were 13 windows that were replaced. They arrived on time and were installed quickly. We are so impressed with the new glass technology that really reduced the heat coming into our home. We also had 2 skylights replaced with their new sky windows that have the same heat reducing technology. We have noticed a big difference.We would recommend First Place Windows to anyone who needs new windows or skylights.

First Place did a great job for us, replaced all of the doors and windows in our old home. Competitive prices, finished the job in a timely manner and cleaned up when finished. Larry offered lots of options and our home is super efficient and quiet now.

I had Larry give me a quote for replacing all the windows in the house, as well as replacing my siding. His bid, though not the lowest, was more than reasonable. What sold me on using him was the no pressure sales talk we had. He made some suggestions on savings as well as some upgrades that made sense. Communication was excellent, started on time..finished on time. After the first day, I trusted him and his crew enough to allow them total access to the house without me there. His work was outstanding, and would highly recommend him for any work you have planned, and I myself have a few projects in mind, and will give him a call

Larry (owner), Brent & Steve replaced all 16 windows in our house this week. I found Larrys company, 1st Place Windows, on yelp. I emailed for an appointment, and even though he was out of the country, Larry called me and we set up an appointment.He brought examples of the various windows he had to offer and discussed with us our options. The windows he would be replacing were the original windows from the early 70s.As I sit here writing this review, Im realizing just how quiet things are now. Not to mention how full of natural light my house is!Anyway, after choosing the type of windows we wanted, Larry came out and measured, then ordered the windows. We paid half down and Ill be paying him the rest today (because Im completely satisfied with the work they did).Once the windows came in, we set a date for them to get started. They started on time and will be finished with the last bit of clean up today. Weve had windows replaced on a house in Houston and one in New Braunfels - I wish I had found him sooner. His price is so much better than the others! Window quality is equally as good, but he and Brent & Steve are so very meticulous about the removal of the old, cranky windows and the installation of the new, beautiful windows.They clean up as they go along and leave everything in perfect shape. He told us at the beginning that we wouldnt have to pay the final amount until the work was completed to our complete satisfaction. I can see that he will always get paid quickly because they make sure that they are doing the job right the first time.Only one thing - now my gorgeous new windows let in so much light that I see I really need to clean the floors more often!!We highly recommend that you choose 1st Place Windows to brighten your home.

I had First Place Windows Install all my windows and sliding door on my house, (Larry the owner) and his helper did a really great job, I am very happy on the comfort and outside noise reduction of my home now. Would highly recommend

I called and set up an appointment about two weeks out for 25 April. The company no-showed and did not call me at all. Very disappointed.
