Person who answers the phone is rude, unprofessional, hangs up on callers . Doesn’t help at all. Do not use them

Do not use this road side service they cancel your service without even informing you before hand. I had a tow set up with them to be picked up 1:15am in the morning call them at the time of pick up as tow provider is a no show only to be told that they cancelled on their side without even letting me know. Please tell me how this is professional in any way. I am now still stranded awaiting a new tow.

My car insurance company dispatched this terrible towing company to tow my car after a blown out tire. We waited 4 HOURS for the driver to arrive. My husband and I called three times to get status updates on the driver’s ETA and we could never get an exact answer. The towing dispatcher told us at one point that the driver was getting gas and would be there in 15 minutes. Well an 1.5 later, we finally heard from the driver. Also, the third time I called before driver arrived (they knew we were frustrated), I think the dispatcher screened my number and automatically placed me on hold. We called right after that on my husbands number and they picked up right away. So unprofessional and terrible communicators. I do not recommend this tow company. There are several other places that can tow your vehicle in a timely manner. We wasted our whole Sunday afternoon because of this place.

My tow service was set up through my insurance company at 11:00 a.m. by 4:43 p.m. this company still had not shown up to tow my vehicle then when I called the provider they could not give me an answer as to why they havent picked up my vehicle And then they hung up on me so I called back a few times and they would not answer the phone if you have any other options do not use this service it is a complete waste of time they are very unprofessional and if I could recommend the tow company that progressive gave me as an alternative is called SUSU towing. He called me back immediately and I will definitely be using SUSU toting rather than DBA Texas road side the funny things they go by so many different names that they can con you into thinking that its a different company where in fact there all under the same opera. I am a 125 pound female & in Nov when I had to use their service because of progressive they left me sitting in a dark empty lot for more than 3 hours before the driver even showed up so they dont communicate with you and they are very cowardly because they cannogive you a as straight answer they actually did tell me that there was a fatal accident and I did check text. there waas no accidents at all in San Antonio today other than stalled vehicles in little minor accidents so they do lie as well Please stay away unless you have a full day to waste timetion its all bad service all the time

My truck broke down in a parking lot. My insurance company contracted them. We called 3 different times, each time being told there was traffic and it would be another 30 mins. After 3 hours we canceled and contracted another. My truck was home 30 min later. GO ANYWHERE ELSE if you hope to get you vehicle back in a timely manner. We suggested our insurance company contract elsewhere.

After being referred to Lara towing by USAA insurance for a simple Job in San Antonio Texas after waiting for four hours broken down at a gas station this company never came through. Repeated calls were made to them only to be told over and over again things like: we are on our way, we will be there in 15 minutes, just left and he’s heading to you now, etc. Frustrated, disappointed and very let down that USAA would refer us to such a sketchy company. Very dishonest and disheartening

Ive read some of the reviews and it shows that it is not a reliable company to go to. Maybe I got lucky with one employee that was very careful with my car and took his time to try to not damage my car. He was also not late like the other reviews here.

We scheduled a pickup for our vehicle through our insurance 2 days ahead of time. We had an appointment at our dealership at 9:00AM so we scheduled the pickup for 8AM at our house. When they had not showed up I called them at 8:30 to get a status of the pickup. The man on the phone told me that in his system he had our appointment at 8:35. Which meant they were still late regardless of the excuse he gave. He told me that his driver was on another pick up and will be there in 20 min. Not sure why they scheduled the driver to pickup when we already had scheduled that time. We then receive a text message update that the new pick up time was at 9:20 AM (which was an additional 30 min than what they told me on the phone). We then received additional message of another time change. So it is now 10:00 AM and we are 2hrs late from our original pickup time. We just went ahead and cancelled. We called another tow company and they were here in 20min.

Gavin was amazing! On time, helpful and made sure that all was good to go before he left. Highly recommend him!

Incredibly slow service. Had us waiting for 2 hours with excuses. First the driver had to stop for gas because you know how those diesel engines are. Hell be there in 30 minutes. Then he was having trouble with his guages so had to stop and get them checked Hell be there in 20 minutes. Then they say oh he took the wrong road ten more minutes. He showed up 20 minutes later. Dont waste your time with these people they like playing games. Would give zero stars if I could.

I waited over three hours constantly being told they’re on their way. Ended up canceling it and went with somebody that responded within 25 minutes. My insurance company will get feedback on this as well as they were recommended by the insurance company

I had such a great experience. My wait time was 43 minutes from the time the insurance called to their arrival. My driver Gilbert Martinez was very friendly, and he was very cautious with my car. Communication with dispatch was also excellent. I highly recommend this company.

Wrecker service allowed my wife to wait 2 hours with a promise to pick up. Multiple attempts to contact via phone when dispatch stated they were down the street. Then magically all calls are being declined with no answer. On Star is able to get through and now “the truck has broke down”. Garbage service, unprofessional, and not even willing to update a client in the event that possibly something happened to the wrecker. Highly doubt it. Horrible business practice and do not use this service. They have earned their 2 star average rating.Should be zero stars if it was at all possible.

The gentleman who towed my truck was amazing. I wish I would have caught his name but being so flustered I couldn’t even concentrate. So he tows my car to my destination and drops me off, an hr later I make it back to my house and can’t find my house keys! I forgot them in his truck and he was so kind to bring them back. I was really down on my luck today but he definitely was the light of blessing today. Thank you so much!

After having my initial towing service take off and leave me stranded. The second towing service which was Lara was incredibly helpful, and knowledgeable. Nothing but good things to say. After waiting 3 hours total to get help with my car, I was so happy the technician that did responded.

Never came or answer when I called, ended up just calling another service and pay out of pocket since insurance keep wanting me to wait and wait as they there on their way while increasing the arriving time. The one I called got here in 30 min somehow AJ couldn’t answer my call but when insurance called he did for them

They showed up in less then 45 min and the price was the best. after I did shop around the towing service in San Antonio. they were the cheapest and the fastest.

Stranded in a parking lot late at night and LARA was there to save the day! The men who came out were very friendly and professional. They helped make sure that I was safe and took the time to help me out in my time of need. I was very comfortable with them and they took great care of me and made sure to answer all of my questions. I’d give them a 0 if I could. Waited over an hour and had to cancel the service because I would not be able to get to the shop before they closed. Had another request the next day and waited an hour and a half for them. Finally, I had to jump in the shower and missed their call, didn’t leave a message. literally called back 5 min later and no answer. Then called the number Allstate gave me and they hung up on me twice. Allstate said I wasn’t there when they got there and they left. I was at home. All they had to do was knock on the door. Pathetic. Shady people.

I used my Geico app and within 15-20 minutes Adam showed up and was very professional. He towed our car to the Forum where we got the tire replaced. Very accommodating.

Absolutely terrible service! Car insurance dispatched them to tow my vehicle and the driver was unprofessional and rude! DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! Especially if you don’t want your vehicle to be bouncing around because some pos can’t drive!

It sounds cliche but Id give zero stars if i could. Do NOT use this company to tow your motorcycle!!! Roadside assistance with the insurance company sent Lara Automotive to pick up my boyfriends bike when the throttle cable broke. Not only was it a 2 hour wait to get to us in Garden Ridge, TX but the driver also dropped the bike when we got to the house by releasing the back left side strap. I cannot stress enough not to use this company. Read the other reviews other people have left. We are not the only dissatisfied customers.

I can’t tell you enough how happy I was with Lara. The tow truck driver called me ahead of time and they arrived promptly. They picked up vehicle on flat bed and towed it over to my auto repair shop. I will definitely use them again when needed and refer them to others.

WILLIE from Germany was amazing! A man of integrity and intelligent! I received a text from GEICO stating the towing company they chose and I immediately researched and wasnt pleased. ETA was 45min he showed up in 5min I was still reading reviews. He gave me a correct diagnosis of my vehicle. He told me it was not the alternator but the serpentine belt. Thank the Lord for sending us an angel! Please request WILLIE!

I received Lara automotive service and received an man named willie, I believe, with an accent. He was so sweet and EXTREMELY fast, they estimated an hour and he came in 10-15 minutes and called me to let me know! He made sure I was comfortable and safe, I appreciated how speedy he was yet accurate and helped park my car in a smaller area perfectly. Thank you!!!

The driver didnt know how to load a special style of sports car and in the process he scuffed a rim. When we asked him to stop, thinking he was going to retry he disconnected and drove away without any explanation.They will not answer the phone. We contacted our Towing insurance Co so they dont use them any more.

Came and picked up my van with no hassles, very professional, chatted about my van and future purchases of vehicles that were reliable, thanked him for the information, loaded up my van with no problems and even confirmed where it was going on his phone I was very impressed with his professionalism and quickness of performing said task.

When I see one or two stars I always give a chance because I say maybe something went wrong that day but not this company...it seems this is their type of service to take forever. I waited almost two hours after their estimated arrival time.I called Allstate and let them know to remove this company from their list and to look into their ratings for they can see it’s not the first time with this kind of service. I understand issues can come up but it was at least for Lara’s to give me a call and let me know what was going on.And the end I called back to Allstate and had them cancel the request with Laras and I hired my own towing company, who showed up in twenty minutes.

I am so impressed with Safe, the man who came to tow my van. He arrived so quickly. Was so pleasant and professional. I am so grateful for him after what could have really been a much worse situation....it was cold outside, my van broke down but it ended well with his help!Thank you Safe!!!

Why the heck does Allstate work with this people. They are rude, overpriced and unprofessional

Horrible, horrible, horrible!! These guys were on my insurance providers list when I needed a tow for my vehicle. They claimed to have showed up to get my car but that the car was nowhere to be located. This is a lie! my husband was at the location where the vehicle was at no truck showed up! After waiting over the 60mins I looked this company up and saw all the horrible reviews! When they didnt show up I called the number my insurance company gave me for them and the number they have listed online and no one ever answered!! I would not recommend these people. Google someone else and save yourself hours of waiting.

I scheduled a tow service for 3:30pm with Lara Towing/Automotive and called at 4:45pm because they never showed up. Lara Towing claimed that they were running late. I rescheduled for 7:30am the following day and called at 8:00am because again they did not show, and Lara Towing claimed that I was not on their schedule. This company if very unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone. It makes since that they have a 2 star rating.

Was stranded in my front driveway. Called Chrysler roadside assistance and they assigned this company to me. I live in San Marcos so wasn’t expecting a fast turn around but was pleasantly surprised when they showed up15 min earlier than expected. Driver was courteous and fast at getting the car up on the rollbed.

Why isn’t ZERO stars an option? I have never had such a damaging experience with any business. DO NOT waste your money here for them to screw up your car. The only reason we used Lara to tow our vehicle is because it was covered by our insurance and that’s who they hired. Three hours after we scheduled this tow, Mohammed comes to pick up the car, which does not have the front left tire on it. Wouldn’t be a problem for any other company, but this guy brings the wrong type of truck and proceeds to drag my vehicle on its rotor. He put something underneath the car to keep it elevated, but sped over a speed bump and that popped off, ruining God knows what underneath my vehicle. Upon reaching our destination, he can’t figure out how to get the car unloaded, and tells us to drive it off the truck. ON WHAT? You’re the expert, right? So yes, we proceed with our “only option” and drive a car missing a tire off the tow truck. We have contacted our insurance company to remove this vendor from their list, and I honestly hope you go completely out of business. Nobody should have to deal with this. I will gladly pay out of pocket for my next tow from literally ANYONE ELSE on this planet.

So I call to have my car towed through Verizon roadside assistance. The third party towing my vehicle was Lara Automotive. At 8p I was told the driver would be to my vehicle in a hour and forty five minutes. I dont recieve a call for the towman until 12:39a, stating hes on his way. If Im correct n hour and forty five minute wait would have put me at 9:45p... YOURE JUST CALLING ME AT 12:39am. So I call the actually number that was given to Lra Automotive to ask what the hold up is. Someone on the line tells me that the towman is 10 minutes away. At 1:02am I get a call from the Guadalupe Sherriff Department stating that they are going to red tag my vehicle because its still on the side of the road. Now Im really ticked off, so I call both numbers whom Ive spoken to earlier, to try and see whats going on. I called non stop for 45 minutes and now none seems to want to answer their phone. If you ask me, THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY TO USE... I plan to be in their office first thing tomorrow morning.

Kamal was so sweet and helpful. My insurance company sent them out to change my tire and when he got here I asked him to teach me how and he was so helpful and informative. He had his jack and tools nice and convenient but very happily showed me how to use my own in case I need to change it myself walked me through the do’s and dont’s and then loaded my trunk back up for me. Very helpful and patient and I appreciate you!

If I could give this company a 0 I would! The driver was really rude! I kept asking him a simple question and his response was Do you want your car towed? Give me your keys. On the way to my destination he tried to beat a car that was coming and literally came inches away from getting into an accident and damaging my car! Also I can never get ahold of anyone from the company!

Would give them 0 stars if I could. Was given a 90 minute window and called at the 90 minute mark and was told there was a 20 minute delay due to traffic. Then at the 2h 15m mark, started complaining to USAA and discovered that Lara had cancelled the pick up. No notice, no reason.This was a roadside assistance call which makes it even worse. If you get them from your insurance company, be ready to be unhappy. And complain to your insurance company so that they will be taken off the list of towing providers.Oh...they stop answering their phones too. Very customer unfriendly.

This place will tell you one thing and do the exact opposite. Stated the time of towing is 45 minutes ended up waiting two hours. Then tried to call back and never answered the phone and disappeared.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. My insurance uses them and scheduled a tow for my vehicle only needing to go about 4 miles away. Expected arrival time came and went. My insurance called to verify their location. They were told they were stuck in traffic and about 25 minutes away. It took them over 2 hours after the whole stuck in traffic lie to get to my location. That is just poor management skills to arrive 4 hours after the expected arrival time. Dont bother trying to call their phone number. They will never answer the phone. Will never use this company again. Id rather pay out of pocket than ever resort to using this company.

My keys to my car were stolen last night along with wallet. Called insurance company to get it towed to the dealer have waited for hours one guy came with a huge tow truck, they knew I was at outlet mall. He couldn’t load on his truck said dispatch was sending a smaller truck. Waited more time ....called insurance company back they got a hold of wrecker service and they said they canceled the call but didn’t bother to let me nor the insurance company know. I hope insurance company takes them off their list. Do not use if your needing someone dependable!!!!!

I dont know how this place stays in business. My insurance company (USAA) assigned them to tow my car to the dealership this morning. Lara Towing told me the truck would arrive in 75 min. I tried calling after 90 min - whoever answered hung up on me. I called back and was told there was a delay and hed have the driver call me with an update. No call, no update. Finally called USAA again, the rep called for me and said the driver was confident he could be there in 20 minutes. Got a text a few minutes later telling me hed arrive within 17 minutes. Half an hour later, I called Lara again and was told it would be another 75 minutes! At that point I cancelled the tow and contacted a local tow truck company.

I got their service through Root ins. I would never willing call these people and you should never call them if you need to be towed. They never answered my call but answered the Root service almost immediately. i had to be put on a 3 way call to finally speak to someone.

My boyfriend and his grand mother were waiting in their hot car for over 3 hours. My boyfriend tried calling them and they didn’t pick up after five tries and when they finally did the dispatcher said they canceled them because it interfered with their closing schedule. I don’t care if you close at a certain time if I call you before you close you better service me until you are finished.

Roadside assistance selected this company to tow my vehicle after my car stalled out - as of right now I’ve been waiting 3 hours in 36 degree weather for them to show up. Every time I call to check on their status they tack on another 20 minutes to their ETA. Do not recommend.

I luckily had a great experience... the tow driver arrived within 20 mins and he tested my battery for me and explained that it was just the battery, so as to help me know when it arrived at the repair shop I was sending it to that it was not a more expensive problem. He was friendly and respectful and seemed to try to help me save $. I am guessing that he wasnt the same driver referenced in the bad reviews for this company!!

HORRID! Stay away from Lara Automotive! You can walk faster than waiting on Lara Automotive for a tow. I waited 3.5 hours on them to come and tow me, AND they never showed! However, Lara Automative told my insurance company they couldnt locate my car...LIES my car (with the hood up) and I were sitting in the middle of the street. When I called Lara Automotive someone would pick up the phone, but not say anthing! Finally, the police came and called me a tow and he arrived in 20 min. LARA AUTOMOTIVE SUCKS!

Do not use, waited over 2 1/2 hours and received a call from the driver saying he would not be coming because Im too far?! Then had no info on who would show! They used two pieces of ply wood to take my vehicle off the flatbed, never seen this done before, the driver had the nerve to ask me to put my foot by the ply wood so it wouldnt slip out from under the tire while he reversed. Do not use, way to many other companies out there. Only used bc my insurance sent them.

After looking at other reviews I suppose we shouldnt be surprised. We informed the company that we were in a parking garage and needed a tow. Very specific about our location since we were aware that height clearance might be an issue. We were then told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. After waiting an hour we called to check on their arrival time. We were told 10-15 more minutes, 30 minutes later the driver called us asked where we were and hung up. We received a call 20 minutes later stating they couldnt tow us due to height clearance. Horrible company. Stay away.

Allstate chose these guys for a 3 mile tow. They didn’t answer the phone and when they did the person hung up on me. Wonderful service 🙄

The wait time wasnt the best but when the driver got to us, he looked under the car and saw that he wouldnt be able to tow it without damaging. I had run over what looked like the inside of someones bumper that was in the middle of the hwy (which I wasnt able to avoid without harming humans).I noticed that he immediately requested a flat bed. It came right away. It gets better... the driver took the time to remove the bumper that was lodged underneath my car....long story short, I was able to drive away. No tow or flatbed. I was happy!! Thank you!

Had a blow out on the highway this morning so I called Geico and they sent Lara Automotive. I had to wait a little longer than planned but Andrew was sent and saved the day. He got me safely off the highway and since he was unable to change my tire, due to me not having the tool to get my spare tire off my truck, he towed us to the tire shop we wanted to go to. Thank you so much Andrew!!!

Yall better have a bad ass insurance policy because if any of your drivers hit me or my loved ones Im making sure we get policy limits! I work for an insurance company and we know how this works. Your drivers are horrible and nearly killed someone on i90 heading e at the ih 35 exchange! Hispanic man driving... then call number and its been changed and unlisted... wow what a joke!

My insurance is scheduled for them to pick up my car at 5 p.m. yesterday. Nobody showed up. 6:30, they tell me theyre stuck in traffic and itll be another 20 minutes. So I scheduled for 4 p.m. the following day, figuring that will give them enough time. 4 p.m. rolls around and nobody shows up. So I call and they tell me itll be 20 minutes theyre stuck in traffic. Its ridiculous. You guys knew 22 hours ahead of time that you had to be here at 4 p.m., you have zero excuses for why you couldnt be here on time. I will tell everybody I can to never use this towing company.

Our car broke down Sunday night on I-35 on our way from San Antonio to Austin. We submitted a roadside assistance claim w Geico and they assigned Lara Automative. Waited a while, but once the driver Willie arrived, things went really smooth. Willie was very courteous and customer-centric. He made our ride as comfortable as possible given the unexpected situation. Not only he drove us north safely to drop our car at the shop, but kindly offered to give us a ride home. Willie was a godsend during a tough moment, helping us navigate the situation as we were traveling w our toddler. He was absolutely excellent, accommodating, and showed outstanding human quality in his interaction w us. Thx Willie!

Literally a bunch of lying, manipulative, thieves. I have never dealt with such low life’s in my entire life. I sat for 3 hours in 90 degree heat as they had no care and continued to state that they were 20 minutes away due to traffic after waiting 80 minutes for a flat bed....45 minutes later upon contacting them again they claimed to be 10 minutes away due to traffic....20 minutes later they stopped answering my calls altogether....35 minutes later I called again despite having another tow company on the way when I told the guy my name he hung up on me after claiming he would check the status of the tow truck. Finally a nice young lady answered the phone trying to do damage control for her shady business and co workers stating the driver was located 8 miles away still 3 hours after the initial dispatch which is a full impossible if he was 10 minutes away an hour ago but 8 miles away an hour later....AVOID AVOID AVOID...UNPROFESSIONAL, UNCARING,OBNOXIOUS, THEY COULD CARE LESS IF YOU DIED OF HEAT STROKE BEFORE THEY GOT TO YOU OR YOUR CAR. I tried to find a way to give a -5 rating or report this as a fake business but it isn’t allowed since apparently they actually answer phones and maybe show up somewhere.

Is one star even worth rating? These people had me waiting for 3 hours in the cold (30 degrees). Please do not use this towing place. I don’t know why Roadside assistance uses this provider. I called them twice but no one responded StateFarm had to cancel and get me a different provider. If you need help, just call another place.

Stranded on side of highway after getting a jump from from Custom Roadside Care who was awesome BTW. My care lost power and had to call again, this time for a tow. But the guy who came jumped wanted to jump my car for $20 cash, it started right up but when I told him it lost power he insisted my battery was fine and refused to tow me. I had to drive 34. Miles at 40mph with my hazards on the entire way. That guy should be fired. He left a woman stranded on the side of a highway!!

This business isn’t even worth one star! Their timelines and business practices are terrible. I recommend that if your insurance company uses them to tow or haul your vehicle. Ask for another third party towing company. The multiple reviews are honest. This company is terrible!

Ive experienced this towing company twice now, and both times they arrived over an hour late. Please tell whatever insurance or roadside assistance program you have to NOT use this company!The first time was scheduled a day in advance through my insurance company (Progressive), and after they were 25 minutes late and I had not heard from them (they had my cell number), I called them. Their dispatcher sounded like he was in a loud area and could barely hear me. He told me that they knew of my appointment and the driver was 20 minutes away, which sounded to me like they had not dispatched anyone yet and were waiting for my call. Because, you know, why chance wasting their time when they can waste mine? The driver finally arrived 50 minutes later, which was 30 minutes later than the dispatchers estimate and 75 minutes after my initial appointment.My second experience with this company was arranged through Audi Care. After waiting an hour I called Audi, only to find out they were using this worthless company as well! So I immediately called Lara myself and, again, they had not dispatched anyone until I called them directly. The dispatcher told me 45 minutes despite the fact that they told Audi it would be 20 minutes over an hour ago. Its been 60 minutes since I called them and Im still waiting.....

LORD ALMIGHTY called twice first day ( didn’t even answer the first 2 times I called) they said it may take 1 hour - 1 hour and 30 minuets waited 2 hours and canceled the tow called the next day they said 30 minuets - 1 hour waited another 2 hours tow truck still isn’t here by far the worst towing in San Antonio DO NOT CALL THIS PLACE FOR A TOW if there was any way I could possibly give them less than 1 Star I would

Worst tow company ever. If 0 stars was an option, that is what we would give. First, they were 90 minutes late. When we tried to call several times, they would not answer the phone. When they finally showed up, they tried to drive the vehicle with a blown front tire on their truck instead of using the cable so it was metal on metal. They finally pulled the car and got it on the truck only to deliver it to the wrong address! They refused to correct their error and were rude and very unprofessional. To top of this terrible experience, they said they left the key in the gas tank but it was not there...they lost the key! We have reported them to our insurance and have strongly encouraged them to remove them from their list in hopes that no other customer will have to,deal with such unbelievable incompetence.

I would rate zero stars if possible. Waited more than two hours for a tow, tried calling for an ETA or update and they either answered and hung up, or answered and put me on hold, all without saying a word. Was forced to call another company who came out in about 20 minutes. Terrible experience, avoid at all costs.

Flat bed truck with plate #T4377K was pulled over on the frontage rd. It jumped across both lanes of the frontage rd and entered the on ramp where I was going 55mph and speeding up. I slammed on my breaks and my car began skidding out of control. A guard rail on one side and a cement gutter on the other side not to mention a flat bed tow truck right in front of me. He had to have slightly gone the wrong way on the frontage road to get to the on ramp from where he was parked. How does this guy have his drivers license????

THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!! MADE US WAIT FOR 3 & 1/2 HOURS!!!NEVER CAME ALWAYS SED THEY WILL BE THERE IN 30 min. OR AGAIN MY INSURANCE CALLED THEM AND SED THEY WILL BE THERE IN 40min. AND NEVER CAME AT ALL!!!I HAD MY KIDS IN THE CAR AND I WAITING ALL FRUSTRATED AND THEY NEW THAT I HAD KIDS AND DIDNT EVEN HURRY UP FOR THAT REASON EITHER!!! DO NOT GET THIS PEOPLE VERY BAD SERVICE VERY VERY BAD TOW SERVICE!!! THE ONE STAR IS CUZ I CANT RATE THEM LESS!!!!

Waited 3 hours for a tow then when I called to check on the status he lied and said he was 5 minutes away. Waited another 30 minutes and still nothing, absolutely terrible service with incompetent staff. STAY AWAY YOURE BETTER OFF PUSHING YOUR CAR.

Worst place ever!!! Left me stranded for over two hours and then tells me that the insurance canceled the service. I call the insurance company and they tell me this company canceled my service request!!!! How can you just leave someone stranded on the side of the road for two and a half hours!!!!!! Then I get messages telling me they were here over an hour ago!!! Never go through this company and I’m gonna also put in a complaint with the BBB. They have specific coordinates yet they tell the insurance company they couldn’t find me and cancelled the order!!!! Never never never never call this company

My insurance company assigned this company to tow my truck when it wouldnt start. They tell me 60 mins and theyll be there. I wait an hour and callback, they say there backed up and will be there in 30. I wait another 30min and call back they say another 30 mins...great I have no choice I wait. At the 2 hour mark I call them and they say 20 mins more. I call another company in the area and they arrive 5 mins before this company does.Go with another company if you need a tow in a timely manner.

Fuel pump quit working on my truck, came to a stop in a bad place on HWY 90 at the IH-35 split. Was told 1 hour ETA, driver was there in 45 minutes. Got my truck loaded and delivered to my mechanic with no issues. Driver was polite and we shared a discussion about our favorite ethnic foods.I started in the towing industry in 1992 and have observed the technological changes making some things better, although now it seems customers have an expectation of instant gratification in most service based things. Towing is not like ordering a pizza.I appreciate a company that takes care of business while keeping safety as a priority. LARA is a good company and I would recommend them to family and friends.

Sadly would like to give a better more informed review. But I can’t. We called our insurance around 7pm on a Saturday night with a flat tire needing a tow to Poteet Texas. 37 miles to tow, and we were willing to pay whatever insurance didn’t. My insurance told us it’d take them an hour and a half to two hours to get to our location, which from there’s was like a 20 minute drive. We waited almost and hour and a half before my insurance called me back to tell me Lara Automotive cancelled our tow, and that no other service providers in their network will cover our tow so we had to go out of pocket to hire someone. So were left with having to leave our car where it is with the hopes it won’t get stolen or destroyed or towed by the city. So thanks a lot a-holes for having terrible service. Merry freaking Christmas right?!?

Terrible service. I don’t even know how they are still in business. They were over two hours late and did not even bother to call and say they were delayed. I was 7 months pregnant and stranded in the heat and if it wasn’t for my family coming to get me who knows what would have happened. Do not depend on this company.

My vehicle broke down and I called roadside assistance for help and was connected with Lara. They charged me almost $350 up front for my tow because I needed my vehicle towed home which was at least 80 miles away. The ETA was 5:37 pm, a 90 minute wait, so I callled the tow company to let them know that I was stranded on the highway, in the heat, with two kids hoping they would expedite things if possible. The dispatcher answered the phone as if it was his personal line, no company name or greeting, and I almost hung up assuming I had the wrong number. I asked if I had reached Lara auto qnd he said yes etc and that he understood my situation but that it would still be a 60 minute wait and then disconnected the call with no closure or anything (again odd and unprofessional). I had hoped they would get there sooner but I patiently waited, in the heat on the highway with my kids, for the full 90 minutes before calling back to follow up. The same dispatcher answered and didnt remember my order but I explained that I had been waiting and was calling back because I had not heard anything and bc the status on the insurrance link had not changed. He asked if my driver had called yet and said that he would have him call me and that he was only 5 minutes away. My driver called me 10 minutes later and was almost an hour away in a completely different town. I tried to call the dispatch back to complain but my call was picked up and disconnected twice and then the line was busy every time I called after that. My original ETA was 5:37 but after I got off the phone with my driver dispatch changed the order in the system so that the original ETA said 7pm with only a 56 minute wait instead of 5:37 and the original 90 minute wait. I took screenshots to send my husband of the original message so I had it and filed a complaint with USAA (the insurance company who booked them). My driver arrived at 6:40 and he was really polite and apologetic but as for the dispatcher and possibly the rest of the company (based off of the reviews I read while waiting) they are not only unprofessional but inconsiderate and rude as well. I do not recommend them.

Dont hire these people unless you want to wait a lifetime.

DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER!!! Called roadside assistance and they sent these yahoos out. They were instructed to take my fleet vehicle to a particular dealership (one I have used for years). When I called this morning to check on my car, they didnt have it. I called Lara and he stated that my dealership did not have a night drop. Which is ABSOLUTELY not true and they took it back to their facility which is where is was still at. I got upset with them, demanded they take it over and the guy hung up on me. I was not abusive, but understandably angry. He then refused to answer my next 50 calls and yes it was at least that many. I had to get the top dogs at roadside to intervene. They are even looking to have this provider removed from roadside. Thats good because my next step was calling the police department. They are rude, unreliable, and you may never know where your car ends up. AGAIN DO NOT USE!

Absolutely the worst tow truck i guess you can call it company in San Antonio!! Started by having me wait for an hour and a half past my scheduled time which was 8:06 then at i kept calling being told that they were in route. Next they told me that the valley high gate was closed... valley high gate never closed so i walked up to the gate (3 miles) and they told me he didn’t have the proper Id which i was sure to tell my insurance company would be needed he lied from jump and said he could get it. Complete waste of my time btw I’m typing this as i wait on a new company

Horrible phone manners. Got hung up atleast 15 times in a row trying to track down a key for customer that there driver took. Thank God we dont use this company to tow for us. Good luck if you call them.

Last night was the scariest experience ever. I stopped at a Stripes to fuel up and when I was ready to go, my car wouldnt start. We tried to jump start it and messed with the starter and nothing worked. I have State Farm and used the app to request for roadside assistance. Ive never used them before, so I wasnt sure what to expect. They assured me that they would send a tow truck out to take my vehicle to my home 35 miles away. I finalized the request at 9:24PM. The trucks ETA was 69 minutes. So I waited in my car for the hour. When they didnt show up I called the number that was provided by State Farm and no one answered. I made several attempts. So I googled Lara Automotive and found a different number listed. I called twice with no answer and was able to get a person on the phone the third time. He was short with me and said that it would be another 30 minutes before the truck arrived. So I waited and all the while State Farms reps are texting me to see if the service provider has arrived.The 30 minutes passed and still no tow truck. I called State Farm and they called Lara Automotive just to tell that it would be another 10 minutes due to traffic. It was now 11:15 and still no truck. By the time the tow truck showed up at 11:30PM, I was tired and livid. The tow operator decided he was going to check the battery and everything else even though I told him not to. He wasted another 10 minutes doing so. He finally gets the car onto the truck and I take my seat in the passenger side. The truck cab wreaked of cigarettes and moldy food. The tow operator neglected to put his seatbelt on and while on route decided it would be ok to watch YouTube videos while driving down some back roads in the dead of night. When I asked him to focus on the road he responded, Its ok, youre fine. He then lit a cigarette and smoked for the remainder of the 45 minute drive. He ran thru 4 stops and acted as if everything was ok. I was terrified for my safety. I dozed off for a second from being so tired from this ordeal and was awoken by him suddenly stopping. He asked if there was a gas station nearby and proceeded to go to a gas station that was closed. I told him the pumps might not work and he ignored me. While he was pumping gas I heard a steady stream that sounded like someone peeing. I cannot 100% confirm that was what he was doing but it sounded like it. We are now 5 minutes from my home and its 12:50. I asked him to unload my car in front of my home as close to the curb as possible. He left it in the middle of my street and took off. I had to spend another 10 minutes moving my car back and forth while in neutral to get it closer to my yard and off the street. I made it inside my home at 1:15AM. I have never experienced such disgusting disregard for another persons safety, well being and overall request of service. If I had known I wouldve shelled out another $75 bucks to get a reliable tow service. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!! If you see them coming, send them back and request someone else. Youll be glad you did.

This company is garbarge. I waited 1.5 hours for their original time estimate, then another 30 minutes after calling to check on an update. And then another 30, after that status check. The driver was completely unprofessional from the start. He was lazy and wanted as many shortcuts as possible. He pre-filled his towing sheet to note that there were no problems with his transport. When I scratched it out and noted I would update afterwards. He took his clipboard back and wrote something else on it. With attitude the entire time, like I was an inconvenience for him. In the end, he almost threw my keys at me before jumping in his truck without a word, and driving away. I want to say his name was Joe but since he never introduced himself, I can’t say for sure.

Terrible experience. Poor customer service. Waited more than two hours for Lara and never saw them or heard from them. We had to call them directly. They claimed that they had tried to call multiple times and had come by the garage. My wife and I drove our car home using a bungee cord to keep the door shut. We are considering changing our insurance company to one that doesnt use Lara.

Dudue shows up to drop off a vehicle, hits my trailer, doesnt do so much as to even apologize for it, then asks to use my bathroom, doesnt flush it, and then leaves the seat up. After closer inspection of my trailer, i found it to be damaged, and attempted to call them, only to have someone pick up and then hang up, without saying a word. That should tell you everything you need to know about this class act. Disrespectful... just call someone else.

The supervisor gave multiple excuses as to why they hadn’t arrived yet, and after 6 hours of waiting we went with another tow company. The Surpervisor is a liar and and unprofessional. Please save yourself some time and money and go with another tow company.

Insurance company sent them.. They were late and then again excuses to make it even later. What should have been done in 1 hour and 1/2, turned in to 5 hours. I guess what matters is it got here.
