Kids love the curriculum here. Master Kim has unique and fun way of teaching the techniques. The facility is small but adequately spacey enough for the students to run and kick without bumping into each other.

This is the best place for all children to learn Martial arts. The Masters are so encouraging and positive. You can tell that they love the school and the students. It is more than just a school they are a family who welcomes students and parents with open arms. Competition trainings are amazing, which brings in confidence in kids. Thanks for all the support Masters have given us.

This is the best thing happened to my daughter . she became well disciplined after attending classes here . Master KIM takes good care of the students and spends time on individual improvements of kids . Even after lockdown JK Taekwondo is taking efforts for the continued sessions, so the kids dont feel like missing the classes in person . There is no better place than JK Taekwondo. I truly believe Master Kim cares about the well being of his students, whether they are children or adults. My oldest son has been attending for 3 years now and it has helped him to become more confident. Everyone here becomes family and the masters are loving, caring but very strict. All the kids feel comfortable to learn new things in front of their peers because of the respect masters teach. My little one just started at age 3 and they make class fun for their age.

My kid started here when he was 4. We took a break and returned here and had been with the academy for over 2 years. I see that this academy keeps enhancing itself as it enhances the skills of students. Masters are awesome and they strive to excel every student skills. And the coaches who voluntarily support to help as time permits really helps Masters to get closer attention on individual skills.Best of all is when we see kids getting trained for hours to get stronger and stronger for competition to achieve pride for self and academy.I did opted this also as my kid’s place to go after school and for summer camp where he gets fun filled camp with special martial art/weapon training.Highly highly recommend this place.

Started out with our 4 yr old, we were trying to get him to burn off all the energy he had, never did we think that it would change our life.... for the better, the amount of time, effort, discipline, and love that is showed to all students from the staff is incredible, little did we know what our son was capable of until they pushed him to limits we didn’t know where possible, including winning a gold medal at a national tournament. We always feel like family here! Highly recommend.

Master Kim and others in school are very flexible and friendly. Happy that we’ve found a good Academy for our daughter. Will surely recommend to a friend looking for classes. They pick up the kids from school on time and the driver has been very courteous. Wonderful Academy for the kids to enjoy even as they learn.

One of my friends recommended this place to me. I was skeptical at first, but then I met the masters and it made a world of difference. Master Kim and Master David and extremely helpful and very considerate & encouraging towards the students. My daughter has been going here for almost 2 years now and just a few belts shy of the coveted black belt. She is always eager to go to class and has never come home complaining....except for the rigorous warm-ups the masters give to all students, of course :-))) I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a disciplined Taekwondo location with very helpful & accommodating masters. This must be the best Taekwondo school in south Texas. The masters at this school really care about the kids. They don’t just teach them the technical part of taekwondo but also teach them about self discipline and responsibility. They also have a separate “elite” competition team. This team tends to sweep at all competitions. They don’t just show up for competition. They actually prepare them to compete. Can’t recommend JK Taekwondo enough. Definitely a 5 stars.

This is the best Martial Arts Academy in San Antonio! I take my daughter here and she has learned so much in such little time. Not only do they teach martial arts, but they also incorporate discipline. Master Kim and the instructors have so much patience and are very kind. Enrolling my daughter here was the best thing I have done.

Master Kim and Master David both have + 25 years of experience in training Taekwondo.They are elite class martial artists and self-defense instructors in Taekwondo.Master Kim and Master David both are excellent with teaching kids and both work hard on maintaining their dojo clean.If you are interested in wanting your child to learn to defend themselves, both Master Kim and Master David are excellent instructors for kids and adults!

This is a great place for kids to learn Taekwondo. They can start young and learn coordination, discipline, and fitness. They also offer after school pickup from the nearby elementary which is great for parents busy schedules. My daughter has learned self discipline and the importance of working toward a desired goal. Taekwondo has become her favorite activity. The staff is amazing with the kids and are very friendly and helpful. I recommend it for anyone who is interested in martial arts.

Great school for kids and adults alike. The Masters here are Korean brothers who taught not only traditional TKD but also instilled great discipline and respect in their teachings. Overall a fun place to be.

My son is going to JK Taekwondo from an year and half now and he really loves to go this martial arts place than anything and he improved his skills a lot. Masters are very dedicated to their profession and they know how to handle kids to make them stronger and tougher both physically and mentally.

My four year old has been taking classes for over two months now and he is showing great progress. Master Kim is very professional and skilled. There is an eight year old girl taking classes there, she already won several tournaments and she is going for the Nationals next month. That tells you a lot about the quality of training in this school. My wife recently joined too and she also love the school.

They go above and beyond. Their instruction has taught my daughter discipline while building her self confidence. This is her second year there and she loves it still.

JKTA is one of the best taekwondo school in the town. My son is going there since last 3 years and he is been improving day by day in all aspects. Master Kim, Master David, Blair Mam & other coaches are dedicated to the students all the time. I was inspired to join as a student since last year and continue learning. I would highly recommend other parents to join the school.

When we moved to San Antonio a little more than 2 years ago, with new school and new enviro, I wanted to put him in a martial art school to build his confidence and protect himself. We have searched and visited many school in San Antonio, finally, we decided to come to JK Taekwondo. The first impression we received, caring and professionalism was never changed from day one, the love of the masters to each kids has made all the children don’t want to leave after class. Another thing that the kids loves is the JK summer camp, Masters and coaches made it so fun with lots of activities and field trip with reasonable tuition!!! Coming to JK Taekwondo isn’t just an ordinary after school program for us anymore, this is a place to learn, to grow and to make friends. Thank you Masters and Coaches to make this place like our 2nd home.

My brother has been a student at JK for three years now and has grown in many ways: physically, mentally, and emotionally. At this establishment your child will learn perseverance, good behavior, and taekwondo skills as well. The kids have competed both at the state level and nationally and the school has been known to do exceptionally well. Come here if you would like an after school activity where the children gain actual knowledge and skills.

Great place to train: multicultural environment, kind people, qualified masters with several years of experience in competition and teaching. Theres a perfect balance between sparring, poomsaes (taekwondo forms) and physical conditioning, students never get bored and theres constant personal and sportive development. Highly recommended for all ages.

I had the privilege of training with Master Kim and his team during my time in college at UTSA. He is an excellent teacher who I learned a lot from. This taekwondo academy is hands down the best in San Antonio! The instructors have great patience with the students. My son has been here since the beginning of the year and has shown great improvement. Not only does he go to the academy but we also use JK Taekwondo for after school pickup. These instructors are true Masters of Tae Kwon Do and bring an amazing level of positivity to the camps and classes everyday. JK TKD is a special special place. I have had the pleasure of attending both of their locations in Harlingen and San Antonio and they have been nothing but phenomenal. Master Kim and Master David not only are tremendous martial artists and teachers, but are incredible motivators and able to bring out the best in you as a person. They are firm believers in discipline and respect. I learned alot in self defense as well. I was in SHAPE while attending these classes. Very demanding but rewarding. Highly recommend.

I would absolutely recommend this place.As we were making the move to Texas from Arizona we looked for a Taekwando academy that would allow our son to continue his training. We started at the Harlingen location and then once we made the move to San Antonio we came to this location. We knew the moment he started that the Master in Arizona found the perfect place for our son. He started here in August and has made huge progress. Sometimes he stays for 2 class and is even on the competition team. He loves it here. We would recommend J K Taekwando.

I was very hesitant putting our kids in Tae kwon do, but thanks to Master Kim he made both of my kids (9 years and 6 years old)so comfortable that they now love this sport so much that even in house they are practicing it. Master Kim is a great master and has very good sense of humor. I have been recommending this Tae kwon do to all my friends. Every one who joins give the same feedback to me
