Ive been going to this Y since it opened abt 8 years ago. Great staff and classes. My only complaint is they have a nice outdoor pool that should open in early May and close in late Sep. The weather in Texas is hot hot hot so let us enjoy the outdoors as long as we can, especially during Covid times!!!!

This was the best looking YMCA that I have ever seen! It was humungous with an outside pool & waterslides also tennis courts! It has plenty of equipment for free weights & tread machines. There was even a machine that shakes or vibrates you... to ease your muscle cramps. And a wonderful and large area for children & babies, which are also children...lol!Staff was friendly as well! Well worth the small fee to join!

The YMCA was a lifesaver during Covid. Between their summer camp and shifting to an eLearning program for kids starting school providing a safe place while parents still had to work...I cant say enough great things about the YMCA. You brought normalcy back to my kids lives and they had so much fun. Plus their minds stayed sharp with your summer curriculum. Your safety procedures were very well thought out and enforced daily for the kiddos and staff. Great job YMCA!

I used to Love the gym its big, functional and has good equipment. Friendly and helpful staff. However I dont like that members have zero disregard for the weights they use them and dont re-rack them & some dont wipe down after use. They leave them everywhere and anywhere management needs to be strict on these clowns. Im very disappointed because the gym as a whole is falling apart there was a mens stall in the basketball area restroom that was out of order for about 3 months! The gym has a look and feel of decaying and just getting worse. It really needs some upgrades, upkeep & lots of TLC. Also The YMCA is the only club in town that still has ninja virus schedule. All other gyms have returned to pre virus schedules including Sunday. Im waiting for the Y to catch up!! Open late and open Sundays please...P..S they need to something about the lame music!

This YMCA is a community. They know you, your family, and make you feel part of the community. I know so many familiar faces, young and old, at this Y. So many loyal customers who have been coming here for years. I met my husband here 7 years ago, we now have a son and still go regularly, its awesome hearing from Y staff about their general interest in how life is going. My husband and I have both gained many many great friendships from this YMCA. Its our home away from home!! We love it here.

This place is really great! The staff are really friendly and supportive and they have very up to date exercise equipment. My family and I go there at least three times a week to work out, and the amenities are always clean, there is plenty of equipment, and you can always get help if you need it. Also, the price for membership is very affordable for a family - much less than LA Fitness or Golds Gym.

I signed my son up for swimming lessons here. I was worried about the large class sizes for the brand new swimmers (6:1 student-to-teacher ratio for 3-5 yr old new swimmers), but assumed they knew what they were doing since the Y is known for successful swimming lessons. However, today I witnessed a child step off of the platform in the middle of the swimming lesson and go completely submerged under water for somewhere between 10-20 seconds without any of the 3 teachers or 2 life guards or 4 other employees standing near the pool noticing. The father of the child had to jump into the pool fully clothed and pull his child out of the water himself. Needless to say, my son will not be returning here for swimming lessons.

My family and I have been members at the Thousand Oaks branch for almost a year and a half. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hours of operation are great. There are a number of different classes offered that are included with membership and you get a member discount on classes (such as swim lessons.). Sometimes, things that require maintenance are not repaired quickly but overall, the facility is clean, functional, and safe. Great value.

Excellent YMCA! It was once Thousand Oaks Racket Club, then Triton Gym and finally the YMCA bought the site. Very large with Tennis Courts, outdoor swimming pool with slides, indoor pool, awesome exercise areas and all sort of classes. Membership includes use at any YMCA in the USA. If you have the chance to check this YMCA out, do it.

Hello, YMCA Patrons,I am James an exchange student agent living in New Jersey.I have an urgent matter I am seeking help with YMCA community.I have a South Korean exchange student, who is a Christian, placed with a volunteer host family in San Antonio attending Roosevelt High School. She arrived last week and informed us last night that she does not feel comfortable with host father. So we had to take her out and placed her a temporary host family until we find a another volunteer host family. Her temporary host family lives west side of the city and cant ride her to school that starts on Aug 27th. She is in a difficulty that she could not attend the school and go back to Korea if things dont go well. The only requirement to volunteer to host her is that you provide her with private room or shared room with your child, 2 meals a day and 3 meals on weekends. the total period of hosting is 10 months from Sept to June. But you could could volunteer to host her for 3 months if possible.I am seeking a generous help for her. I am far away from SA and helpless but cry out to God that He could provide her a host family.I am desperately asking you to help her pursue her study here in SA.Thank you very much for your attention on this matter. May God richly bless you and your family.Thank you!James Jung

Great environment. Full spectrum of members, families and serious lifters. Mens locker room is continuously being cleaned. Womens locker room, not so much. The mens steam room and sauna are always on. The womens steam room is often turned off, has to be turned on, takes 15 - 20 minutes to heat up, etc... this has improved lately but still lags the mens experience of constantly being on and available.A large variety of classes are offered. There is usually something for everyone. All in all a great health club choice.

I’ve been a Y member for longer than I care to admit, and I’ve trained at Y’s coast to coast and this is my new favourite. Sorry Wichita. Multiple power platforms, matching hard plates and bumper plates, extensive selection of strength and cardio machines. They’ve even got a heavy bag.If I had to nitpick, they have spring instead of clamp collars, and they don’t have a bottle filler water station, but, over-all the best Y I’ve ever hit. Friendly staff. Free towels. If you are anywhere close, check it out.
