I highly recommend this gym for anyone in the Alamo Ranch area.Facility - The facility and equipment are very well maintained. Also, members are generally respectful and awesome about wiping the equipment after use and putting equipment away.Personal Training - I’ve been a member since July 2021 and started personal training twice a week with Jody. He is not only a wealth of knowledge, but consistently challenges and encourages me.Staff/Management - The staff is professional, and I appreciate that they reach out to me periodically to request customer feedback. It shows the management truly cares about what their customers think and are looking for ways to improve.24/7 Gym - I love that the gym is 24/7, and I always feel safe even if I’m at the gym late at night because they have cameras monitored by a security company, an emergency call system, and the doors are always locked unless you have a valid keycard.

This is a nice gym. the equipment is good. I am left alone to do my workout but the staff always is willing to help if asked. It’s always clean and members do a good job of putting equipment away when done.

The gym is well equipped and clean for a good workout. I would have given it 5 stars but I didnt because I feel pressured and nervous that I might be kicked out if I dont meet their policy requirements of visiting the gym 5 times in a month. It so happens that I joined that gym about 3 weeks before COVID numbers started rising. I am a health care worker and after I work my shift at the clinic I go to the hospital to help out because of the need of nursing and hospital staff since Delta variant kicked in. As much as I try, I cant make the gym. Im exhausted and my family misses me. I wish that policy of theirs didnt exist. I mean, none of the other Gyms have that!

I loved my time using this gym. I emailed before traveling to San Antonio and they were very prompt in response about a visitor pass and COVID regulations. Upon arriving the gym was very clean, neat, and not slammed full of people. They had everything needed for any kind of workout and I even loved the machines counting my reps and rests. Staff was also great. Perfect place to enjoy my deload week while on vacation!

Great community and has all the equipment you need to get healthy or strengthen your body. Did a few sessions with their trainer (Jody) and you will get your money’s worth with his workouts and the knowledge he has to help break things down for you to understand.

I am pleased to share my progress with my personal trainer Jody Pedroza . The expertise and guidance hes provided through strength training sessions have been amazing. His consistent updates and redesigning my sessions keeps me progressing consistently. The group of trainers Ruben, Ignacio and Ava are very positive, upbeat and keep me focused . They are dedicated, motivated and highly trained professional staff. The gym is well maintained, and brightly lit facility . The rest rooms are very clean, with toiletries provided . The location is convenient with ample parking . I feel safe working out at anytime. I am very satisfied with this gym, the great staff and all the amenities it provides. It is never crowded, I can work out comfortably without feeling overwhelmed or any pressure. If you want personable trainers and not a big gym you have come to the right place . !

Very convenient and never extremely busy, which is why I chose to workout here and cancel my Golds gym. I like not having to worry about hours of business and fighting over equipment. Theyve also gained a lot more equipment since Ive joined, which is a big plus! Things are fairly clean and equipment is usually in its place.

Great location, extremely knowledgeable trainers. I was in town for a couple of days and was able to get really high quality training at a great price. Great place to work out, machines are amazing, myzone heart monitoring is so helpful, lifting machines have counters, plenty of free weights. Personal training is reasonable and the coaches are amazing !! To top it off the price is incredible along with 24 hour access. Gym is always clean, all machines, stations, weights are open, good working condition and very clean!

I came across Snap FITNESS when my work Schedule changed and I seriously needed a 24 hour gym. I workout really early in the mornings and it is always clean and tidy. They are equipped with everything I need and I love ❤ the massage chair! I rarely get to see the staff but when I do they are always welcoming and friendly.

We recently signed up through SNAP after a terrible experience with Golds gym and we absolutely love it. The smaller atmosphere is great, and we are paying HALF for what it cost us to have 2 people at Golds. The sign up fee is extremely reasonable. Staff is very friendly. Smaller gyms are not for everyone but SNAP offers the basic essentials for my progression needs and overall. We are very happy!

Today was my first day at the 1604 location and I absolutely love it. It has everything I need and most importantly it is open 24 hours. I love the staff. They are so nice. I cant wait to go later tonight.

Deceptive contract practices. Membership fees are excessive for what one receives with regards to overall equipment offerings, small workout space, and inadequate shower facilities. Zero fitness classes are offered outside of the personal training solicitation/up-sales. There are much better fitness clubs/facilities that offer much more for equivalent costs. Golds Gym and Anytime Fitness are in close geographic proximity and a better value. I will concur with the other reviewers that the staff is friendly and the facility is clean.

So, I dont currently go here anymore, but I did months ago. I liked this place because sign up was short and simple, no weird charges ever occurred, no aggressive sales tactics, and I could use the facility any time I wanted. It made me feel really independent and I didnt interact with any other gym goers for any reason. This is a great gym if you need privacy and work weird hours. Also, its cheap. I only wanted to work out for 2 months with them before going to another gym and told them that, so I signed my cancellation contract for the next month at the same time that I signed my initial contract to join so I wouldnt have to bother them again. Clean facility and all of the work out equipment was functional. Kind of small-ish but really has enough stuff.

I was greeted when I walked in. I was asked to wait my turn until finished with the person before me. I waited a little under ten minutes for them to finish up with the previous person. Instead of helping me, gym rep typed away on computer and talked to others. After having waited an additional ten minutes I left. While i wasnt helped, the gym was fairly clean, small, and had the basic requirements. Its in a convenient location, and most other reviewers seem to enjoy it, and I wish a good experience for you as well. Personally, my experience was awful.

This is the second time using Snap Fitness, first time in San Antonio. I work out of Houston in the weekdays and here in San Antonio on the weekends. My first visit to Snap in Freeport was great. Im new to the gym, but I had a nice experience. Very well kept. Everything was clean. Here in San Antonio, expectable, but it seems like some people dont quite care for the equipment, as weights were left out and misplaced. Not a big deal. Im sure thats very common. But the shower had no towels, the body wash was empty, and the trash was overflowing. Employees and members are both responsible. The place is nice, but I would like to see a little more upkeep.

I been a member since January 2016. I have lost 42 pound in four months. Nate is wonderful. The entire staff is very helpful. The hydro massage is great after a challenging workout!

Horrible. I’m looking for a gym as I just moved to the area, they offered me a free week pass as most gyms would. However, the staff hours are minimal. I’m talking like 2-3 hours a day. So if you don’t workout at those times, you don’t actually get to try the gym. The staff seemed very un-interested and seemed to not be able to wait to leave. The sign says management hours on Saturday are 10-3, however, the staff decided to put a sign up saying they were only gonna be there 9-11am instead. So no workout today and of course, no workout tomorrow either because the staff isn’t there at all on Sunday’s. Lmao what a joke. No wonder there’s never more than 2-3 people MAX in this gym at al times. I can’t imagine they can continue affording the overhead of this place much longer. I give it 3 months.

Ok just keeping it real. I went to this location today as a part of the Silver Sneakers senior exercise program. Idk but it doesnt seem as inviting as neighboring gyms. I couldnt get motivated bc it was sort of crammed with equipment and had no group programs as advertised. Rather than working out there for first time I went to Golds Gym about a mile away. Maybe SNAP has lower prices or no contract😞

FYI... they charge an annual $35 enhancement fee because whatever they charge you isnt enough to actually maintain the gym. I was ready to sign for an annual membership until I saw that. I ran after I found out about the fee. They need to charge what they need to maintain the gym!
