Sheri was awesome!! It was my first time doing hot yoga and my experience was great. Sheri definitely made me feel welcome and comfortable the whole time and encouraged me to come back and experience more classes. Unfortunately I wasnt able to take advantage of my 7 day trial due like I wanted to but I will definitely come back as a drop in as my schedule allows. Thats such a great deal especially for those who are on the go go go 👍 you guys rock
I’m not one to post reviews but I have not been able to stop talking about my experience at the Union since I went for my first hot yoga class. Staff (Elisha) and instructor (Lisa) made me feel very comfortable and welcome during my first visit. I had been extremely nervous about trying a hot yoga class but my friend dragged me to class with her. I loved it!! I felt amazing after but I also loved the community feeling that I got from the studio. When I brought my partner for their first time the following day, it was the same thing, the staff and instructor (Anna) were so happy to have us joining and really made us feel included, which made the 90 min class a lot more engaging and fun. I came back for how the class made me feel but I will stay with the studio for the community.
Been a member for years now. They have enough locations for you to never make an excuse that you cant make it to a class, enough class types to suit a wide range of yogis, and a locker room equipped with showers so you can get back to the real world fresh and clean. Add in great teachers, and this place is a hit!
Walked in and wasnt greeted AT ALL even after I said hello to the instructor. The whole class had zero sequence or flow and was a constant up/down routine. You are only told what to do verbally as the instructor failed to demonstrate any poses to the class. For someone who has been to several different studios and is a certified teacher myself, I have to say that there are PLENTY of better studios than this one!! LOOK AT ALL OF YOUR OPTIONS BEFORE GOING HERE.
I popped into this studio while visiting San Antonio. The have such a friendly and welcoming staff, who gave special attention to us visitors. This was especially nice since Im a total newbie to Bikram. They have a great facility, too!
I love coming here, its like coming home for a good home cooking! Instead of food, they cook you! You come out looking so good to eat up! I tell you I love each and every one of the yoga chefs & yoga sous-chefs here! Thank you for helping making my life so delicious! Bon Apetite... and helping me keep my sense of humor xxx
This place is a total rip off. They have all these requirements to try and either a) overcharge or b) try to keep you from leaving. When I first signed up i was told I would get a student discount and so I signed up for unlimited classes because I thought I would be able to use it more than I did. After my first month I was unable to go at all and so I paid for two months and never was able to go. I went two days before my third month was to be charged thinking that was enough time to put it on hold or cancel it. Well I was wrong. Russ, a teacher, informed me that I would still be charged for this coming month because it was after the 25th of the month. I told him that I believed I only had to inform them two days before. He could have cared less. I then asked him why I was being charged full price instead of the student price, which is only 10%, and he said are you full time? I said yes. He said are you under 25? I said no I wasn’t aware of that either. He then says well that’s why...because you’re over 25. Bottom line is doing the right thing is not part of the company. It’s only to take your money and they could care less if you are unhappy. All that namaste has this place all high and mighty. I will never recommend anyone go to them.Update May 2, 2018So now after being told I would be refunded for being overcharged and not having been refunded... I am now seeing a pending charge for May even though I cancelled in February. I am so livid that they cannot even do their accounting practices properly. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
If hot yoga is your thing, this is a great place to go. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and concerned. I like the fact that they have the traditional 26 pose Bikram class as well as a condensed 60 minute version. They also offer other versions of heated yoga with a slightly less hot temperature and a flow practice. Make sure before you go, read the info for new students on the website; it will tell you all you need to know to have a great first experience. For $20, new students can have unlimited access to classes for seven days for both the yoga and the Crossfit. I cant comment on the Crossfit aspect because I have only experienced the yoga which is amazing! Highly recommend!
Everyone at the Union is so positive, helpful and caring about you. I love going to workout at the Union.
Postivity from beginning to end - regardless of your skill level or innate ability.
