Jay engaged in deceptive business practices, installing a different (cheaper) paint protection film than the one he had agreed to provide. In addition, his workmanship was inadequate, resulting in minor damage to my vehicle, and peeling of the film he installed. This required multiple repeat visits for film correction, with some continued peeling thereafter.More information:I paid Jay to install a SunTek Reaction Paint Protection Film to my new car. Initially, I was planning to have the film installed over only part of the vehicle. However, when he offered to make a deal with me and apply the film to the entire vehicle at a lower cost than his competitors—PLUS add ceramics on top of it—I was convinced to spend the extra money. I was disappointed to find Jay hadn’t given me a deal at all. Rather, he simply installed a cheaper film (SunTek Ultra), directly breaching our agreement. I brought this concern to Jay, who refused to disclose how much money he saved from his deceptive business practice. He became defensive and angry. He failed to lower the price or otherwise rectify the situation in any way.Unfortunately, Jay’s workmanship resulted in some minor damage to the vehicle and peeling of the film in multiple locations; pictures of some of these defects are attached. The peeling film required several repeat visits to rectify, and continued to peel despite these visits. To Jay’s credit, he didn’t completely leave me out to dry and has fixed a good amount of the peeling, at least as of the time this review was posted—though there is still unresolved peeling to date and the damages were never addressed. His customer service was also unsatisfactory, with delayed response times and ignored messages. In sum, I regret using Jay’s services and wish I had gone with one of his competitors. It is to be seen how he will respond if new or worsening issues with the film arise.

Jays work is impeccable. I got PPF, window tinting, and ceramic coating done, and its all perfect. Jay was routinely sent progress pictures as the work was being done and promptly answered any questions I had throughout the entire process. Jay stayed late past close the night before I was going to pick up my vehicle because he wanted to make sure everything was perfect and also ended up doing additional work that he didnt end up charging me for. This type of customer service, attention to detail, and pride in his work is why I recommend Jays Detail Studio to anyone looking to get their vehicle detailed. My wife will be having her vehicle ceramic coated this coming week at Jays and were confident he will do yet another superb job on it. Highly recommended!

Update: You can see by the owners response that I paid for an interior detail and tint... However he wasnt able to clean the window and just decided to tint right over it. Ask yourself is thats who you want working on your vehicle? If you cant clean glass you shouldnt be in this business.No pride in their work. Window was not thoroughly cleaned before applying film. Asked to fix and was told it couldnt be cleaned. I removed the film myself to clean it off and whatever it was came right off with the time film. Interior detail left a lot to be desired too.

I was looking for a company to tint my new 2021 Tesla Model 3. I was skeptical because I have read how water may enter the computer if it is not done right. Jay and his team did a fantastic job on our Model Y. We had him tint the windows, install PPF on the front half of the car, and install the 2 hitch. I had picked up a nail in my rear passenger tire the day before but didnt notice it and thought the TPMS was malfunctioning. Fantastic experience. I had just gotten my model y about a month ago and have been searching endlessly for a place that would do well, but also not wreck my white seats(A bit paranoid about it lol). So after a lot of googling, reading online forums, sifting through review sites other than google I came to the conclusion of going Jays Detail.Called him up and after we talked he texted me pictures of how certain tints would look. I really began to trust him after he made sure I knew that with the seats being so white, they will still be somewhat visible depending on how low I go, and also noted that Tesla factory tints the rear windows anyway so they are already darker than the fronts, and gave me suggestions based on that as well(Every other place I called felt like I was given a sales pitch and that basically I had nothing to worry about. This bothers me as a programmer because I dont like being told there is absolutely nothing to worry about without giving any information. So the fact this guy had a normal informative conversion and took the time to tell me what to expect and what not to expect, made me feel a lot more comfortable).Dropped my tesla off with him around 9 AM, left him the key card, and told me it would probably be ready by noon and it was, and also said given the humid weather, he would leave it inside under heat lamps(I believe this is what he called them) to help speed up the curing process. Day 2 and so far it looks perfect! If anything changes I will be sure to update this review.

I went to Jay to ask for his advice on what I needed to protect my new Kia EV. Jay spent time explaining the options and the pros and cons of each along with the price. I ended up getting the PPF on the entire front of the car, mirrors and back bumper. He removed the existing dealer appied tint from the windows and put on some slightly darker tint and heat blocking to the windscreen and back window.I never felt rushed into making a decision and Jay and his team are very easy to do business with. They take pride in their work and the finished product shows the quality and care they put into this. Service is top notch and they even cleaned the inside of the car and tires for me.Jay asked me to return if there should be any small bubbles (air pockets in the film) and he would remove them with a small hand held extractor. He also followed up with me via text to make sure everything was OK, which I really appreciated. So far so good after 5 days. I just got back my Audi TT RS from Jay. This is the second car I have had him work on. The first was a Toyota FRS about 5 years ago. I had him install the full front SunTek paint protection film and Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra on the entire car. He did an awesome job on the film. It is very hard to tell that there is film on the car at all. He wrapped around edges so you cannot see lines. You have to know exactly where to look in order to tell it is even there. It covers the entire front bumper, hood and front quarter panels. He even put film on the backs of the rear view mirrors.As far as the ceramic coating goes, I could not believe my eyes. For those of you that dont know this, you just cant slap a ceramic coat on a car. Not even a new car. You must polish out any imperfections or they will really show up with the coating. Even with my new car, there were several places that benefited from the polishing job. I could not believe my eyes how great the car looked. You can see a quick picture I took of the car when I got to the shop to pick it up. It is not touched up at all. The car is just that shiny.Jays attention to detail is incredible, and I would highly recommend him and his shop if you are looking to get any kind of detailing done to your car.

Really impressed and satisfied with Jays work. I live a couple hours from SA, but Ill drive back again and again whenever I need any detailing done. Genuinely a nice guy who knows his craft well.

I knew that even without yet having received the quote, this was the place to go. Jay spent the time to explain everything to me and give a package that fit my budget. The best part was that not once did he try to upsell me into something that I could not afford.While my car was in his shop, Jay went above and beyond by texting me updates with pictures so that I could see the progress. He makes it feel that you are his top priority and only customer. Jay worked miracles on a Corvette I recently purchased. He took a 2015 Corvette with obvious wear over its 5 year lifespan to looking amazing, as well darkened my tint. Jay also worked on my 2018 Raptor and brought it back to life too. I can’t say enough about the quality and value Jay delivered! Jay was very professional and took care of a new (to me) Mercedes. I had lots of questions that he patiently answered and made suggestions based on my use case (daily driver). I had one idea when I walked into the studio and Jay made excellent suggestions as to the best coatings for me.He installed a front-end Suntek protection film, 3M ceramic window film, and topped it all off with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra ceramic coat. The quality of the work and the performance of the products has been stellar so far going on a couple months. I wanted to wait for some time before posting a review to make sure everything was working as intended.The ceramic coat is phenomenal, in particular, with amazing “hydrophobic properties”. I wouldn’t do anything different.

Highly Recommend! I was in need of window tint for a while, but I wanted to make sure I was getting a quality product instead of just going with a random place with dark tint. Researched specs online for multiple brands and started calling around to get an idea on price and availability in town. Most places gave quick quotes and said what brands they had in stock. When I talked to Jay though, he was the first to ask more about what I had been reading up on. And this was about VLT/IRR %s, color stable, ceramic and true brand vs brand comparisons.Its easy to just call a random spot and make an appointment for the best you got, but if you are truly trying to make sure your car is getting the best it can possibly get, have a convo with Jay. Jay is the man. If you want your high end vehicle done correctly without worry look no further. Very trustworthy and professional. Ive brought my car to him twice from 10 hours away for a reason, he is just that good. Simply put, he offers top of the line service and products that will make other detail shops work look amateur. Tesla owners look no further. After doing some research into who in Texas I wanted to have apply tint and paint protection film to my Model 3 I chose Jay.He has loads of experience in dealing with the Tesla vehicles, which is very important as you dont want to take a vehicle like a Tesla to just any shop as its very different from every other car out there. He went above and beyond with my vehicle and treated it as his own, couldnt happier with the job performed. I will definitely go to Jay in the future for any detailing needs I have and I recommend you do as well.

I strongly recommend!!! I went in with my F150. Only had the front two windows tinted and they came out great. I will be going back to get the rest of my rear windows done soon!! You can notice there professionalism and quality of work in there product line

My experience with Jays Detail was superb. I wasn’t too knowledgeable about tint and he educated me very thoroughly and I quickly found out why he’s the best.
