From Miguel the Tech to Eddie the Team leader everybody was fantastic. Eddie and his team did a great job accommodating us and our work schedule. My experience with Cowboys AC was excellent. My morning started with Javier whom provided me with several options for replacing my AC unit. Javier was both professional and informative. He was very easy to work with.Within an hour and a half- the installation techs showed up.Albert and Damien were great . Both immediately began working on the install. Albert and Damien were easy to talk to. They were knowledgeable and professional. Benjamin showed leakage from my coils and explained why I had hot spots due to aninadequate unit size. He worked with me to get an affordable price for whole system replacement. Their employees are always EXTREMELY courteous and very thorough. They are also dependable - showing up timely and/or communicating if they are delayed. They are careful about not leaving a mess or tracking dirt through the house when having to work on outside & inside units. We’ve been using Cowboys for years and plan to continue that relationship in the future.

They are the best! Fixed our A/C quickly and honors veterans. Technician was very prompt and friendly. Explained the process, ordered parts and was back the next few days even with the weather bad to get our home back to normal. Even repaired out motherboard without being told or charging extra. Fantastic customer service! Definitely calling in future when we need them!

Bryce came for a simple tune up. We change our filter every 3 months and it is a fairly new unit at 3 years old. Bryce said that the capacitor needed to be replaced which was about 250$, he installed a replacement that held too much power which he even said it was running higher. Before Bryce serviced our unit it was 78° in our home. After he serviced it it was 85°. We had to call 3 times so he could fix what he messed up. Then he said he would come back the next day to fix the issue which he had caused, wanting to leave our family of 6 in the heat for another day.He didnt check any of the ac vents to see how cold they where running, he didnt have a ladder, no shoe covers, no mask. I would not recommend at all.

My ac was not working and Miguel was dispatched let us know that we need to upgrade our system. We had already gotten other opinions and he was the best one to give us very good options. Alfonso and his crew came through and installed our new system. We love our new system. They were very professional and informative.

They canceled the first appointment then showed up 2 1/2 hours late for the next. Tech said my 7 year old unit didnt have a warranty. I called the maker and they said i have ten years bumper to bumper. He stated that i need a compressor fan $635 and anther item $365 and suggested a part to save on energy $400. I called my ac tech and nothing needed replacing. if anything goes out its covered 100% then his computer battery went out so i had to pay cash. I called the office to tell them about my experience. The representative was irritated so i asked for a manager then she said she would give me a refund. Never again. If i had listened to him i would be out all that money. Its true you get what you pay for.

Fabian installed and services my unit as needed. By far one of the easiest going service reps Ive encountered in a long time. He is really professional and went the extra mile to fix a leaking problem. Fabian did an amazing job and Cowboys AC is the only place for me. The photo shows the extra work Fabian put into my leaking issue.

My AC stopped working so I contacted this company. Josh was the technician who came out to assess my AC system, he told me that no power was getting to my system. He also said my capacitor needed to be replaced, after driving to get a new capacitor which I was surprised was not on his truck, he reported my compressor was also damaged. He concluded that I’d have to replace both parts, or get a whole new system. My current unit is 6 years old and he was quoting me over $13,000 to replace the whole system. I panicked so I called in a second opinion from a different company who came in and noticed my filters were dirty. The new company replaced the filters for $80 which did the trick and my AC was back up and running! I’m thankful that I called in a second opinion but fearful that this poor diagnostic of my system could have easily cost me over $13k, and could possibly cost someone else the same amount.

I have always dreaded ac technicians, but was pleasantly surprised by how kind, personable, and professional Cowboys AC was today! Benjamin came out and cleaned our unit and showed me where my issues were. He took the time to go through everything in great detail and wasn’t pushy like other companies often are. Everything went well until tech tried turning on the unit. The unit needed a part replaced. Tech had to leave and pick up a replacement part from somewhere across town near airport. We are curious as to how a new unit has to be repaired. Work was finished at or about 10 PM.

I had the ducts upstairs replaced because 1 of the bedrooms was not getting proper flow and was hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Yesterday I went in to clean the spare room and it was extremely hot. I called to let them know and they scheduled a tech to come this morning. Alfonso, the tech, was very polite . I explained the situation, took him to the room and he went up in the attic to take a look. Apparently, the duct to that room was never place. As in there was no duct. I paid over $6000 for just the upstairs ducts to be replaced and they couldnt do it correctly.

My AC wasnt cooling because of a power surge. I turned it off for 30 minutes and then turned it back on. It was working then.

Showed up on time and told us what’s wrong and that was basically it. Didn’t tell us how much it’d be to repair or answer any questions. We wanted to try and fix same day or soon but wasn’t even given the option. He was already on the phone before he left the house and drove away. I’m very dissatisfied even though this company came highly recommended.

I had been without consistent AC for two weeks. I’d had several people take a look at the unit and say it needed to be replaced bc the cost of repairing the broken piece would be nearly as high as the cost for installing a new unit.Cody answered my call, was extremely polite, explained everything well, have a quote right away, and was responsive whenever I called to clarify or as additional questions.They were prepared to install that night (this was on a Sunday evening!) but I wanted to hold off til the next morning, as my baby would not be able to sleep through the noise of the installation. … Which, in hindsight, wasn’t loud at all haha. After cancelling my parents 21-year maintenance contract with County Wide Air Condition and Heating, I decided to call Cowboys Air Condition and Heating. When they arrived and looked at my parents air condition system they found that the coils were filthy and the condenser was not compatible with the furnace, making both units work harder. The same technician from County Wide, Edgar, had serviced my parents system for 18 years. County Wide and the technicians were a fraud for all these years. Due to a storm in the area, the AC module burnt out due to a power surge. Cowboys technician came out soon after I had called them and was able to get part to get AC up and running. Very efficient, friendly, and professional. I am extremely pleased with the service provided by this company and highly recommend them.

Josh came to do our annual check and in doing a thorough and professional job, he discovered moisture and unhealthy growth in the plenum. After a very detailed discussion of 4 options I made the decision to install a complete new furnace, coil with the new plenum and the upgrade of the Reme-Halo system. Josh was available to answer any questions and even gave me his cell for contact. I remain impressed by the professionalism and quality of each Cowboys tech I have met and the highest level of quality work they provide the customer.The installation occurred the next morning completed by Zack and Matt. Although there were challenges with the removal of the old system, Zack proceeded with great care and professional knowledge to remove the system and with Matt, they took deliberate care for my home throughout the installation. I could not recommend them more highly.Every phone call, every appointment scheduled, every service completed, I am impressed by the highest professional and personal standards established by Cowboys.

Javier provided excellent customer service. He explained to me in laymans term the breakdown of the Evaporator Coil and its function. He took his time so I could understand it.

Today I called Cowboys to schedule an appointment because our heater was not working. Mike answered the call. While they couldnt physically come out to us because of their enormous call volume during this crazy weather San Antonio is not accustomed to, Mike helped us troubleshoot the problem over the phone. And our heater is now working. We are greatly appreciative of the time Mike spent with us to help solve our issues. Professional, attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable are just a few of the words I would use to describe Mike and Cowboys. We will gladly continue to use their services in the future.

ALL of the personnel I spoke with over the phone were very patient (I can’t hear or see as well as I used to), articulate, respectful and kind. Donna in particular worked diligently to make sure that my needs were met. Drain and cleaned water out of pan, installed a condensation drain pump. We have lived here since 2009 and have had to replace the switch that lets us know pan is getting full 2 times already.(the first one was with the old AC) We are not young chicks and cant get up and down that steep ladder. We are not satisfied that we had to pay $1, 935.67 for something that should have warned us about the over flow of the pan. Because of this over flow we are having to replace our kitchen sealing which is costing us another $2000.00 to replace. We are hoping that you will refund all or some of the money we had to spend to fix something that should not have gone bad in a couple of years. The service man did not do any cleaning or maintenance on our air conditioner that is shown in their commercial. He just put a gauge on and told us we need a new evaporator coil that cost $1200.00. Our air conditioner was and is still working fine, it was a waste of money for this service.

Called for A/C repair when unit was leaking water. Outside unit is outdated. Cowboys recommended replacing unit rather than repairing it. Another company came in, learned it was due to just one board that was still under warranty and ordered the part.

They did a really good job. Mr. Miguel came out yesterday did a diagnoses on the general ac and as soon as he found out what was going on with it told me the result and gave me options to repair the whole thing or just the portion that needed to be repair. After I told him to repair the whole thing he contacted his boss and the installation happen that same day and by night time I had ac at my house again.

Team of 2 guys came out and installed the new furnace. We should have tested it before they left. The next day I tried to use it and realized it wasnt working. They came back out 2 more times and werent able to get it to work. Someone else was sent out the next day and he was able to get it working. It just needed an extra piece installed. Never wrote a review until now because Im sick of my workday being interrupted by sales calls from them after repeatedly telling them Im not interested.

When our A/C stopped working, I made an appointment to have the system inspected (there was a promotion for a $29 inspection). I had attempted to fix the A/C myself by replacing the capacitor and the contactor, but my repairs didnt work, so I needed some professional advice. Mr. Benjamin Arsate arrived to provide the inspection and found that the entire evaporator would have to be replaced. The system was about 14 years old, so the news was disappointing but not a surprise. Mr. Arsate was professional and honest about our options. We opted to have the entire system replaced instead of patching it up or repairing a few parts of the system simply to have the other older parts fail later. The installation technicians arrived about an hour after the inspection and got the job done quickly and flawlessly, and we had cold air blowing before dinner time. We are very satisfied with the service and payment options (we were given 18 interest-free months to pay for the service).

Great experience with this company. My 20 year old AC system died this summer and so I needed it replaced asap. After receiving quotes from more than 10 companies, I decided to go with Cowboys after reading good reviews and receiving by far the best price for a 17 SEER 2-stage AC unit. Fabian and Walker were the technicians that were sent out for my job and they were excellent. My house was built in 1973 and the furnace was in a very small closet which made the job difficult but they managed to get it installed in there perfect. Had a minor issue the next day with the condensate pump (no fault of theirs) and the guys came out and fixed it for me. Also want to give a shout out to Mike (salesman) and Alonso (in-house inspector). They were very professional and timely. They even provided all of the forms for a CPS rebate you receive on your new AC system. All in all Im very pleased with the service I received and would have them back out if I ever needed it!

Memorial Day 2021After “The Special $19.95 Service Call”,I was charged $860 for a small amount of refrigerant and a blower motor, available for ~$155 retail + tax, at Lowe’s or the Internet.I Was Charged ~$700 for labor to install a motor, a repair job that took ~1.5 hours.$$$ HVAC REPAIR PRICE GOUGING! $$$Service Tech. Miguel tried for over 2 hours to sell me a new HVAC system furnace, priced at over $3000, and financed by a third party lender. Regarding the ⭐️ above. I’m a Disabled Veteran/Senior on a fixed income, and find it totally outrageous and unacceptable to have been charged such an exorbitant amount of money for a routine HVAC job, and for Cowboys A/C to have resorted to overpricing services as well as high-pressure and unprofessional sales practices during a service call, badgering me to purchase a completely new HVAC system(s), especially in the wake of the recent 2021 freeze and unseasonable heat and humidity, experienced so far this year. 🦃 🦃 🦃 🦃 🦃

The scheduling department is horrible! Do they even talk to their technicians? They got the day wrong the first time, then the time wrong by hours. Not professional . The technicians do good work though.

My husband knew them from his previous house. They checked our house and all was fine, but went to my rental and the conditions were deplorable, on ducts, and units, they brought me pictures of all damaged. gave me the estimate. Technician came to our home, was prompt, but when Miguel got here, looked at the unit & said we needed a new unit. Didnt even check anything, Didnt open the unit up, no gauges were used,, nothing! Stayed here until 8:00ish trying to get us financing & said it was our fault that he wasnt going to get home until after 10 pm because he still had to go back to the office & pick up his truck to come back home to Hondo. His dispatcher sent him🤷‍♀️He also tried to get us to give him $1200 cash & he would get a unit to us in the morning, we would have to pay HIM $500 a month till we paid it off? Not good business. My real technician came 2 days later & fixed the capacitor $90 for parts, labor, cleaned our coils, done! Thank God, working beautifully!

These folks are wonderful. This is the third time that Ive used them for a seasonal system check. Best money I could spend. Jason did a great job... took his time, explained the various components of my system... whats in good shape and what should be monitored closely. The peace of mind is worth the money for me. Frankly, the tuneup is cheaper than it would be for me to take the time to do a cleaning myself. PLUS I get a heads-up on what is likely to fail... BEFORE theres a problem. Highly recommend!
