I went to my owm location where i needed help with remove my benefits 4 times they kept stating i have to do it myself and they wouldnt help me but turn me away 4 times i been told to call number i did but same respond or they stated i cant do it mame sorry i got turned away on calls to help me..so i called elwood in south salt lake Candace E. Elwood Staffing in Salt Lake City, UT has been a great experience for me when I was in between FT work. They have always given me great assignments and the pay has been consistently regular every week. The staff always answers my questions thoroughly sending me detailed instructions of where to report and what time and genuinely cares about me being successful. I look forward to using them again.

Ive only dealt with Elwood staffing one time and that is this time that Im referring to. They were very professional in the way they approached me about the job and set up the interview for me and it went well I got hired and its been nothing but smooth sailing since. Although Ive not technically gone permanent yet, Im going to. Ive already been told that by the company I work for. I thank Elwood for being on time with my pay every week theres never a problem. If I need a question answered or something like that then theyre always there to answer. They help you find good jobs I recommend them highly if youre looking for a temp position hoping to work into a permanent one this is the place to go.

I was signed up in the office in American Fork because thats where I live. American Fork had me going to a job assignment but then I was contacted by the Salt Lake City office And was told by one of the ladies at the Salt Lake City location that they had a lot of work in my area which is American Fork Lehi Orem area. She told me that they had a lot of work for 16 $17 an hour But that I would have to cancel my job assignment in American Fork and take a drug test before I started a new job at salt Lake that paid more and again she told me there was lots of opportunities in salt Lake with higher paying jobs. I was told that they always had higher paying jobs and more work than any of the other locations. So I cancelled my job assignment in American Fork, And took the drug test But when I did all of

I worked there for day I asked why havent been paid yet its been 3 weeks. They act like they didnt know me. but not to worry they will look into it. Youre going to have to keep calling and ask why you havent been pay it.

Sometimes you just get lucky. I’ve recently had a very positive employment experience with Elwood Staffing of Salt Lake City. Their professional staff was most friendly and approachable. They are great in what they do. They were able to give me options for employment, having developed very strong relationships with employers over the years.

Overall Elwood is a wonderful staffing agency that Ive had the pleasure of working with off and on over the years. The reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because of what I call communication issues at times regarding assignment locations and times. This may or may not be due to miscommunication from the company contracted with to Elwood. Whatever the reason the bottom line has made it a bit frustrating when going to a new job assignment. However, as I mentioned overall Elwood strives to pair assignments with people that work well and the pay is usually competitive. I would recommend them.

This is a great place if you dont mind doing factory, warehouse, or manual labor. No skills necessary to get a job. However I had some complications working with a company they provided for me. So I owned up to my side of the mistake. However when I wanted to explain over the phone on why I didnt like that company (Falcon), Amber simply dismissed my side of the story. I made a report about what I disliked about Falcon. I felt undervalued as a worker. I do my best to cooperate, however they didnt give a damn what I had to say. I dont think Ill be working with Elwood Staffing any longer.

I have been coming to this agency for three days, and every day I have to use the computer, every day is two hours using the computer and even then I never get any employment. The employees never give you all the complete information. Every time I finish filling out a form online they tell me to go to another page. Today was the same another two hours wasted.

The worst staffing place ever. They dont deserve any Stars. So unbelievable how unorganized they are, and very rude. Mackenda is very rude always LATE when we have to check in. I called many times and spoke with Coltin and Amber and Mackenda they are all lost they give out different information. They didnt hire my friend who has a clean background but they sure dont mind hiring felons 2 people who said they just got out of jail and then people who dont even speak English are you serious?? What illegal operation are you guys running?

Went in to find a short term position while I was looking for something full time, and I was surprised they were able to get me a job at a really good company that eventually hired me on. Really professional staff and i am really grateful they were able to help me find a job.

Ill let you know because they wont, though they are required by law to inform all new applicants, three is an open wage claim against Skill Staff. Both the Branch Manager, Stephanie Grill, of the Salt Lake City location for Skill Staff and (Regional Manager?) openly and willfully violated Utah Payment of Wages Act. Despite clear mandates under the laws, Stephanie Groll, under the apparent approval of David Stryker, committed violations of the UPWA including, but not limited to: violation of separation of payroll requirements, failure to pay wages, and retaliation against a wage claimant. In addition to these violations, Skill Staff is in violation of business licensing regulations regarding posting requirements, and records keeping. The violations outlined above carry civil and criminal penalties that may be assessed against criminal employers and violators of the aforementioned regulations.On a personal note, I found the Skill Staff office to be incapable of performing any of the basic functions and/or performing at a level on par with the most basic standards in their industry. Stephanie Groll proved to be both the most unprofessional, dishonest, and business and compliance illiterate branch manager and/or employee that I have ever encountered. The fact that she is even employed in such a position is a testament to the operational and personnel issues that both have rise to a business such as Elwood Staffing which could allow such compliance issues to even occur, as well as, the failures that resulted in the misrepresentations of wage and work assignment, the failure to pay wages according to law, the failure to operate in good faith, and the litany of other severe failures of this business and all managers purporting to have some supervisory or professional control over business operations at this location and other locations in the Salt Lake area.Another note: Dont go and work for this temporary agency or any other temporary agency. Any of the work they are going to hire you for the contractors you will work for, or the subcontractors that work for them, will hire you in a second, especially if you have what Skill Staff is requiring you to have in order to allegedly get the best wage - I say allegedly because they will lie to you about what wage you are being paid.

I came in her September 13th friday and was appointed a job at the salt palace convention center and to start on September 21st at 6:30 am. I was told i was going to need to have a blue shirt and black jeans with no holes. So i had to spend my last few dollars on blue shirts and a pair of pants. When i showed up to the job site elwood had never sent them an email or fax stating i was suppose to start working. So at 7 am i called elwood staffing and left a voicemail which they never responded to. Left my email and phone number. Which is very unprofessional in my opinion. I scraped up some change and drove over to the agency only to be told yeah sorry that was our mistake we can find a different job for you. Which is great but how am i suppose to get to the job with no money for gas now. Since i spent it all on getting ready for the first job that they failed yo send me to..

I would give this branch a negative 5 stars if i could, theres a particular employee that likes to be rude and straight up disrespectful and im going to let everyone know that makenda is not reasonable. So do yourself a favor and just call the west valley branch, they have more and better jobs.

I walked into Elwood looking for work, and they had me fill out all of the paperwork and do the drug test right then and there. I was working within a couple of days. Its not the most money in the world, hence the one star deduction, but they were so quick in finding me work and have been incredibly helpful since Ive started working with them. And my friend gets a $50 referral bonus now that Ive worked 80 hours through the firm!

Incompetent people work here, make sure if you have to call in, to contact multiple reps to assure they log that info properly because it could cost you your job like it did mine, no call no show. Just dont work here period.

Unless youre on parole or want some kind of manual labor, this is an awful place. After spending two hours doing assorted paperwork (which included giving personal info like an SSN) I waited a half-hour more for a code to take assessments for office work which I never received. If youre a professional, stay away!

Disappointed. It is difficult to find any careers through this agency. Only low paying blue-collar jobs! The staff and management didnt seem to be helpful either.

All these agency say they have jobs available but when you sign up they have no jobs. Most jobs are warehouse. So leaves you waiting for a temporary job for months. Also, some of the staff here are rude and not so welcoming.
