I like to keep my hair high and super tight and I’ve been sitting in Braxton’s chair for well over five years. His cuts and fades are on point and he’s extremely consistent. It’s relaxing to sit in his chair. I enjoy the nice touches like the hot towel, straight razor, and old school mechanical neck and shoulder massager. I also enjoy chatting with him and the vibe and decor can’t be beat.

Braxton is the man! This guy has been cutting my hair and trimming my beard since I left the Navy years ago. Hes professional and talented. Hot towels are a plus. I have a standing appointment every Thursday. Gotta stay fresh. Book an appointment with him. You wont regret it.

I’ve been going and getting my haircut by Braxton since 2012. Not only do you get a great haircut at a fair price. But the time spent in that chair relaxing, listening to music, watching baseball and chatting with the guys in the shop are what make Braxton’s shop what it is. Won’t let anyone else cut my hair.

I’ve been going to Braxton for years. My wife wouldn’t allow me to go anywhere else. I go every two weeks. I’ve gone 6 weeks or so without a cut and it was still very even. Highly recommended!!

I moved to Salt Lake five years ago and every haircut i’ve ever gotten (except for two because i forgot about two separate weddings and needed a quick one) I got from Braxton. I’ve never had to wait past my appointment time, and always been more than happy with my ‘do afterwards. Braxton will give a proper treatment, do a great job, all for a fair price. He isn’t one of these waxed moustache fellows who you have to take out a loan just to get yer haircut from. i had to shave my head recently but once it grows back y’all better believe i’ll be knocking’ on that door!

Disappointing. I sent someone to Braxton six years ago for a cut and straight razor. He did an amazing job. When my boyfriend needed a cut and shave this last week, I RAVED that Braxton was best in state. He’s VERY picky about his hair but I sent him to Braxton with full confidence. The haircut turned out ok, the beard.....no straight razor, the trim had chunks of his hair missing, and no effort was put into it at all. I even tipped him $20 on the $40 charge when no tip should have been paid. I should also note I attempted to contact Braxton 3x before the cut and my texts/Instagram messages were ignored. Like I said, super disappointing. Will not be returning and will not be recommending to others.

Let me tell you about a barber you will drive to get your hair cut because he is that good. His name is Braxton. His very unique mountain / rustic decor barbershop has literally one chair. He is basically always busy, and does zero marketing. When a dude with a one chair barbershop in Salt Lake does no marketing and is successful, it is not rocket science to conclude he is really freaking good at what he does.Lets get something out of the way: Braxton did not tell me to write this post. In fact he told me he never checks google posts because some people just have noting positive to say.I am not a barbershop expert, but I have been to many different barbershops in Southern California and the Bay Area where I am from. Typical barbers in California do a pretty good job, but they charge a lot and sort of do the same haircut for all guys which is in style now: side part with a high fade. But most of the time I walk out going, Yeah this looks good, but I am not in love with it.But Braxton is like a real artist. I walked out and was like, Can this guy do my hair everyday? I never had that thought in my life, but finally understood why my girlfriend goes to the same hairdresser all the time.Too bad I am not in Utah to go here frequently. Braxton cut my hair so good I did not even know my hair could look that good! He does not even need to wash your hair to do a pompadour cut. He can do everything with clippers, and he is even more precise than someone with scissors! If you dont know what I just referred to go look it up and go see him in action. Only highest recommendations, and I like people who are ridiculously good at what they do to be rewarded for great work. Braxton is one of them.
