One of the best barbers shop in the salt Lake area. I have been there couple times and had my haircut and beard trim by most of barbers there. All of them do a really nice job, but last time I went Tabitha did my haircut and is really talented. I would definitely recommend doing your haircut with her.

Just avoid the barber DREW. Rest of the experience with other barbers here were fine until now. He literally messed up and it will be the last time for me here. The worst hair cut ever. He talks with other barbers as well the entire time doesnt seem to care about customers request and does what he wants to do which is the worst haircut you can ever get.

Jeds is the coolest most convenient place for a beard trim or cut. I recently moved away and was in town after nearly a year. When I went in for a beard trim, my girl Alex greeted me like a long lost friend. Great service, great atmosphere, awesome attitudes, and free soda. Youll like it. I guarantee it.

I didn’t feel welcomed nor did I think the “barber” cutting my hair was experienced. When you’re not experienced, you should take your time, hone in on your skills, and pay close attention to detail and precision. I was given a haircut by the manager who, after uncomfortable small talk, gave me a subpar haircut at best. I get a simple haircut; 1-2 blended in and a trim on the top, and it was what I wanted; however, it was rushed, sloppy, and uneven. Bottom tier cut from a bottom tier place. I don’t recommend it.

My son and I have been going to the good folks at Jeds for years. Theyre all super friendly people who also happen to be excellent and attentive barbers. Theyre knowledgeable about stylings and products without even a whiff of pushiness.We especially love Tabitha, whos the most consistently excellent barber Ive ever been to. Shes also just a super friendly person who I genuinely enjoy catching up with. A huge pro as a dad is how effortlessly she handles kids cuts with patience. My son is always excited when I tell him were getting haircuts.

Was just in today for the second time ever. I will not be coming back, I will have to try another barbershop.My stylist once again got too personal with small talk and made me feel uncomfortable and awkward. Im a client not your buddy. I come to get my haircut, not to discuss the philosophy of life or what have you.I strongly suggest you go over customer service and how to talk with clients to ensure they come back. Felt disrespected.

Went here for the very first time and Layton did an awesome job cutting my hair! I was a little intimidated about getting a cut like this at a barber shop for the first time, but Layton was super understanding and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted. I will be coming back!

Andrea has cut my hair for a couple of months now and the quality of her work is impeccable! I am very picky about my hair and she asked all the right questions, and was meticulous about checking to make sure I was satisfied. I love how clean and easy going the atmosphere at the shop is and all of the barbers seem very professional. I have trusted Jed’s with my mane for seven years and have never been disappointed by their attention to service.In the shop today I felt very safe with all of the precautions they are upholding.Tabitha was amazing as always. She knows her craft, and beyond that is efficient and plans ahead so that you don’t just look and feel great waking out, but continue to for weeks!

Kaylee did wonderful on my hair and made me feel comfortable. Getting my hair cut isnt very pleasant for me only because of my social anxiety and uncertainty of what to do with my hair. But this visit was great and I plan to return.

It Is a great, retro themed, barber shop. It has quaity service with nice barbers. There are classic arcade games to keep you intertaned while waiting. They offer free drinks after the cut and I always come out looking fresh as ever. Only complaint is that sometimes the wait is a bit long, but most of the time it is walk in and get cut

My favorite barbershop in Salt Lake City. They have very high standards for their barbers, great music, and of course their famous sodas. My kids usually hate haircuts but theyre always happy to come to Jeds.They also always have people on hand that can handle a straight razor and they finish every cut with a sort of vibrating back massage thing thats just the best.My barber was telling me that shes travelled several years with Jeds to teach English to children in Mexico. It makes for great stories from great people.

I used their 15 minute check-in and during that period they seated someone else. So they didn’t follow their own rules. I found that upsetting. Plus, they raised the price so it’s getting more and more pricey for a cut.

Good Haircuts for a reasonable price. Wait times can be a little long depending on the time of day, so I would call ahead to make sure you can get in. Ive had three haircuts with three different people, some are very personable and enjoy talking, some are very quite but get the job done fast and well. Oh! And the free soda is a nice perk if you do get stuck waiting around for a bit.

Jeds has recently become my go to barber. They have done a great job every single time I have gone. I really like the ambiance that decor gives off during my 30 minutes of head massage/relaxation time and the free sodas are the cherry on top. Madi was my most recent barber and she was so helpful. We discussed what I want and she helped me understand how my hair works and the different options I have. She did an excellent job and was truly the nicest barber I have ever had in my life. I think she deserves a raise 👀 Thanks Jeds for the best service I could ask for.

Not the Jed’s location to visit. I won’t be back to this one, and will only go to the Sugarhouse location in the future. I came on a Sunday afternoon around 2, and even with three barbers working and only two waiting in front of me, I didn’t get into the chair until 3. Unlike the sugarhouse Jed’s, they don’t have video games or anything of that sort to entertain you here, so my wife and I twiddled our thumbs for an hour. I also specifically asked the barber not to cut my cowlick, and I carefully pointed out where it was and explained why I didn’t want her to cut it, and she cut it anyway — now it doesn’t lay down.Love the Jed’s in Sugarhouse, but this one was a dud. Two of the three barbers that were working took their breaks at the same time, which led me to think that they weren’t heavily invested in customer service since those of us waiting had been sitting there for an hour.

Service is high quality and the barbers are well-training. For someone who doesnt know anything about style or hair, their barbers do well to find the best cut for you. However, the call-ahead system is hit and miss. Jeds only takes walk-ins, sometimes wait times are good or tolerable often theyre crazy long. Would give them five stars if Id be able schedule my haircut in advance instead of poking around for wait times.

Mikhail does a great A line haircut. The shop has a great 80s vibe to it and its really relaxing. With the hair wash and free soda its definitely worth 35$.Edit: Came back again a month later and I have to say, Layton was just wonderful! He touched up my haircut really well, was super friendly, and even gave me a shoulder massage with one of those massage gadgets. Honestly, one of the best haircuts Ive ever had. I might like it even more than my original haircut.

Kaylee over at this location gave me world wide service. Great analysis, suggestion, and cut. Along with friendly humor!They also had Bob Ross books that satisfied my soul before talking to my barber for the visit. Couldnt have asked it any other way!Planning on coming back for sure!

Top notch barber shop that really has a salon feel too it. I only got a simple cut but shampoo is available if desired and each haircut come with a free soft drink and shoulder massage. I am very satisfied with the quality of my haircut.

Great place barbers are nice but they do charge a premium for their hair cuts. They are good but I only go to them in a pinch because the wait can be quite long and the price is a little high compared to other hipster barbers.

I used to love this place and stick to it for over a year because they accept walk-ins, price was competitive and it is really close to me, until i had a terrible barber the second time who cut my hair so uneven, and with an effort to fix it she only made it even worse. I feel they have a blend of good barbers and those who dont know what they are doing. With that said, staff is always nice here and environment is very good.

Ive always had great haircuts and shaves here. They used to have local artists exhibit their works. I wonder what happened with that.

Jeds is okay! Free soda is nice, shoulder massage is nice. The issue is, every time I go to Jeds I get exactly what I ask for, and a good barber hears what I mean, not what I say. I need someone who understands my head and hair and can combine what I say with what works well on my head. The cuts are good, they just havent been great.

This place is great! The staff is friendly, communicative and experienced. I can walk in and request my favorite stylist (Diana) and usually be in the chair within 15 minutes. They also have good products available.

Worst barber shop ever. My first time going and got the worst barber ever. Blew through the haircut so quickly that I was even lined up correctly in the back and have uneven fade lines. I would rather shave my whole head bald and start fresh then walk around with this terrible haircut. Any place is better than this.

Free soda. Really good price for service. There is a high standard for skilled barbers at Jeds. Ive gone here occasionally for a couple years and I always leave happy. Recently noticed they have a great selection of products you can buy now. They carry things you can usually only find online- tons of beard oils, proraso products, etc.. The place gets busy and loud at peak hours, but the turnover is not bad. I dont think you can set appointments here but you can call ahead. This is a great alternative to your chain haircut place. Why go to Super Great Sporty Cuts/Clips when you can have real barbers work for you at the same price?

I never really gone anywhere for haircuts; I either do it myself with clippers or, well, dont get a haircut. But Ive been growing my hair out for kicks and needed a trim but couldnt do that myself. Jeds was a real comfort for someone not used to going to barbers. They were way cleaner than the inexpensive barbers Ive been to in the past. I was greeted upon entering and kindly assisted. You can tell customer service is really a focus. My only suggestion for you is that Jeds says they only take walk-ins, but the magic secret is this: if you call them the day of before you come in, they can stick you in line while youre driving there. That means a quick phone call puts you ahead of the guy just walking in (aka me). So the wait was long for me, but the service and quality was good. Char helped me and took her time to make sure I was both comfortable and satisfied with the result.

They do such a great job with my hair cut and beard trim. Even months later the hair grows out in a style that still looks great. The staff is friendly at any of the locations I have been to. I cant get my hair cut anywhere else since I feel they wont do as good a job as at Jeds

It was recommended by my brother and I decide to tried and it was amazing there is a warm welcoming and then I was with the idea of making something new with my Hair and the girl that did my Jaír it was amazing she use a classic haircut with A modern touch . This place is worth it and extremely professional they make you feel really confortable. I don’t remember the girl that did my hair I just remember her parents are from Venezuela . SHE REALLY KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING!! I NEVER HAVE ANYONE LIKE HER !! REALLY PROFESSIONAL!! I WILL BE BACK I RECOMMEND THIS PALCE 1000%

After searching around town for somewhere to get a hair cut and being turned away by fancier and more crowded barbers, I finally ended up at Jeds Barber Shop. This was my first time here but Ill definitely be back. You get to enjoy a soda while you wait, and the haircut was exceptional. My hairdresser was very nice and personable all the way through. Jeds is the place to be.

My husband has been coming to Jeds for his haircut for years. He loves the service so much that he still drives downtown for it even though we moved to Davis County. The stylists are friendly and knowledgeable and his hair always looks fantastic!

I just sent my husband over this evening thinking it would be nice to get out of the house. This was a trusted stylist, but the experience was uncomfortable and rushed. He will need another haircut tomorrow to fix it. I cant imagine he will be returning despite being a repeat customer for years. Id suggest closing earlier if you are unable to provide consistent and quality service at the end of the day.

First time there was amazing! Great friendly environment, awesome customer service. Emily did a great job fixing my hair from another place that screwed it up (great clips). Didn’t hurt that she was cute as well ;). I loved the free first time hair wash. Overall, very pleased with my whole experience.

Ive been going to Jeds for a while and getting good haircuts.Once in a while, when Jed (the owner) is cutting hair I get an GREAT haircut.While on my last visit, I got a haircut from Heidi and it was AWESOME (like Jed cut my hair)! I complemented her on her skill/technique, she told me that Jed has be teaching the stylists his techniques. Its great to see the owner passing on his techniques to his employees.I definitely recommend Jeds to anyone looking for a great haircut.

Real good people and great work. They have free soda-pop and always air legacy shows like Thundercats, G.I. Joe . I think 90s kids will be pleasantly surprised by it. They dont take appointments, so make sure to call ahead of time before going in. They tend to have long wait times of 1 hour sometimes.

Ive been going here for my haircuts for almost four years. The staff is super friendly, and the prices are pretty good for the service youre getting. Not usually super long waits, but they have free sodas, books/magazines and a Ms. Pacman arcade machine to kill the time.

The cuts are super good and the employees like I said are nice and know what they’re doing. They talk to you which is nice or awful depending on your personality. But for me it was awesome.TIPS:Go in the mornings and it’s worth the price for a wash as well:) legit best wash I’ve ever had which is weird to say but it’s true.
