The lady that helped us get the reservation and into the car we rented was exceptional! She made suggestions and helped us get into a great car. Unfortunately, when we went to take the car back, I had forgotten my mask. I stood by the door, and tried to ask the lady about bringing the car back, but all she could do was scream at me! It was my fault that I didnt have it, but the lady did nothing to help me. Even Walmart offers you a mask at the door. This soured what had been a positive experience. I still would choose them over Enterprise, who left me hanging.
As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot, rental car got a flat. Literally pulled into Ford, 200ft down the road, took 40 minutes for a replacement car. When asked if it could be fixed, I was told no. When returning the car, woman at desk tried saying there was nothing wrong with tire, but there was just no communication between staff that by the time she returned it had already been fixed. Rates were pretty high, even for a military member. I will still return because service and rates are usually better than Enterprise.

We went for an insurance rental and the young lady was very rude, just a very bad attitude when speaking to us. We ended up canceling the reservation and went to enterprise. Customer service still counts.
Never again. I was sent there by an insurance company after my car was involved in a collision.Almost immediately I knew this was not going to go well . The rental process took almost 45 minutes dispite having everything from the insurance company. The car they gave me was small and very dirty. The windshield was streaked with fingerprints there were used water bottles under the seat and it needed to be vacuumed badly. When I returned the car I was hit with surprise fees of almost 400. On my card that I was never informed about
The last of 6 or 7 weeks of my rental, there was a billing issue with my credit card..closing charge of $727...when resubmitted after leaving the office, corporate tried to and successfully charged my car over $1300..Thankfully my credit card company has fixed the issue...but Hertz refuses to admit their error in billing. Hopefully this wil help someone else somehow.
I feel like Hertz went above and beyond in their treatment of me. The car was great... better than what I had owned. I would highly recommend Hertz to anyone in need of a rental. Theres a reason Hertz is #1 !
Just picked up a car, I seriously question their commitment to cleanliness, the front passages floor had half a baked pretzel and salt all over the floor mat. How do you miss a pretzel on the floor when cleaning a car? We will not even discuss the full size vs midsized issue. Every rental company screws you there.
Never again Hertz. Dont send a conformation email for a vehicle type you dont have. Dont ask what type of vehicle I want if you have no intention on providing it. Dont get angry with me when I did what I was asked to do, made reservations 7 days in advance, called an hour before my arrival. I will let State Farm know since they are recommending you and paying for this rental for over 20 days.
Extra fees and because I prepaid there was also a large $500 deposit. Its always something with these guys.

I see so many having problems with the workers at hertz answering phones, however Ive called a few times to edit my reservation (most recently this morning) and the ladies Ive dealt with have ALWAYS been kind and professional.

Rude and unprofessional people working here. On top of being slow and having attitudes. No one answers the phone, I walk in and they are sitting there watching it ring! 🙄 How in the world do you have only 1 Agent working on a holiday weekend... the line was out the door! Make it make sense. I walked out on my reservation and took my business elsewhere. I’m a Five Star member and this was the worst experience I’ve had with Hertz.
Had a terrible experience where I was discriminated against by the staff and denied service. I begged and pleaded with the staff to please just rent to me, almost to the point of crying for an hour. The manager still refused to serve me. This ruined my plans to travel across the country to attend to sick family. I filed a complaint with corporate and they decicded my complaint wasnt valid (presumably because Caucasian cannot be discriminated against in their view) and they offered me a $25 discount. My reservation that was over $900 for a one way trip. Obviously I promptly declined their offer. I recommend you avoid this location, and maybe all hertz all together. I know I will for the rest of my life.

Reserved a large van for moving. When we arrived they didnt have it and offered us a minivan, which wasnt nearly large enough. Staff said they never have them in stock. So why can you reserve them online?! Had to run around town trying to find a van and delayed an already long day. Dont know whats wrong with their inventory but they need to get it together and be apologetic to customers if they cant honor their reservations.
Heather was great. Fast service, picked me up from the shop, had a car quickly for a reasonable price.
Surprised Hertz did very little to help me mitigate my losses when I was forced to rent a car due to my car being totaled. The body shop agreed to pay a portion but Hertz did not follow up and charged me for the entire bill. When I called Hertz they said they had closed the account and effectively done with the matter.
Very friendly staff really like the car that I got. And they were willing to work with me for a deal to be able to drive the car as a spouse, and I have put the wrong return date and she worked with me so I wasnt charged extra. Appreciated it very much! Will rent from them again.

Only thing that saves this place was the simple and nice interaction with the woman working. Sadly I am stuck in a beat up car that smells of cigarettes and is stained with ripped carpet. Never have I been given a rental like this before. The price was cheap but will never do it again if I have the option. The inside of the building matches the vehicle even.
Absolutely the worst rental experience. I will never go to Hertz again.

I rented a car from an airport in Virginia and I needed a car since I am home on leave, the car was completely horrible. It definitely needed an alignment. Then when I went to return the car at the Salisbury location, a younger black woman who works there gave HORRIBLE customer service. When she told me how much the charge was for the car for only 3 short hours, it was almost $20 more from the fare I had originally gotten. I asked her what it was from and she told me because of a GPS. I continued to tell her I had no idea there was a charge on that and no one had told me about it. She completely and ignored me and asked me what my payment would be, wouldn’t look me in the face and was just rude. I will NOT be coming back to Hertz ever again and I will definitely recommend no one go to this car rental. Enterprise is SO much better with customer service and everything.

I had a terrible experiance with a pickup at this location today. My family, including my grandmother, reserved a full sized vehicle for 4pm today. We were running a bit late, and attempted to call the location directly 3 times. The location did not answer at all. I had to call the 1-800 number and spent over 30 minutes on the phone with a rep to change my reservation time to 5:30pm. After answering all of thier questions, I was told that they can not adjust the rental time, but would hold the vehicle for 2 hours after the reservation time. Upon arrival at 5:40pm (1 hour and 40mins after the reservation) we gave our name, and were told that the vehicle was given away, and they hold the vehicles an hour and a half. The phone was ringing off the hook and no one was answering. When we got the keys and walked out they locked the doors behind us. The car we recieved was a mid-sized vehicle, which is extremely difficult for my grandmother to get in and out of the vehicle. They charged us for a full-sized. The vehicle has a tire monitering error and is absolutely filthy on the inside. There are pretzals mashed into the back seats, juice splatter on the side of the doors, and crushed hard candy stuck to the gear shifter. The vehicle should have never been given out in this condition. Hertz was not helpful with this situation at all.

Horrible! I struggle to get through on the phone lines, the building is run down. I crashed my car and was without a vehicle for a week dealing with these people. The one time I finally did get through on the phone they didnt even have a car I could get and I ended up waiting yet another day. If it wasnt for insurance purposes I definitely wouldve went somewhere else!
