I am the new property manager at Island club, As I know the issues with the past manager, I will be working hard to make this the best place to live, we are pet friendly and kid friendly as well. We have changed its much better place to settle down . The maintenance team are some of the best and new leasing consultant Amber always there our residents.Come by and visit.
I am only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of the proximity to places in Salisbury and since SOME of the apartments are KIND OF what the pictures look like online. When I say KIND OF, I mean they molding around the bottom of the carpet is missing, & the walls are rough, not smooth drywall because they’ve been painted over and over. When they state that SELECT apartment have designer kitchens they mean you will most likely get an outdated apartment (like completely). DO A WALK THROUGH FIRST! They don’t fix the molding if a previous tenants dog has chewed it up, or someone punches a hole in a door it just get patched or repainted. The pool area needs to be resurfaced as the caulking around it missing or just really awful attempt at it, and the resort style referred to on the website is an understatement. The entire section on the right is no longer there and now a fence. The “fitness center” has BROKEN EQUIPMENT! 1 treadmill is completely broken, 1 sounds like it’s going to die, and the other one works but is so outdated. & The smith machine has broken cables. So let’s just say you can only use HALF of the equipment. When paying the price you’re paying, you’d expect better quality. From car break ins, to drug deals, to tenants fighting in the parking lots in the middle of the night and the cops showing up. I like to call this place the Upscale Ghetto because youre paying for a nice complex, but it seems nothing better than Parkside or Parkwood. I feel like any 5 star review is just here to “fluff the place up”. Smh. STEER CLEAR! —- Runaway Bay has nicer apartments for just a little bit less or try Addison Court or Marley Manor for a little more (but are BEAUTIFUL inside)... def a lesson learned!
I love Island Club Apartments! The property managers are great and make their residents feel special. Definitely has that community atmosphere. I would recommend any one to live here.
I have recently moved in to this complex and would like to recognize how pleasant and great both Cindy (office assistant) and Debbie (property manager) have been to me. My apartment was ready on time and everything explained properly. Thank you for being honest with your tenants.
I consider myself fortunate to be in a building with good neighbors. My location/ view is very nice. Been here 2 years and complaints I read I have never experienced. Drug deals, loud music ??? Nope not that Ive experienced. I am very grateful to Crystal and Shelby, the previous management, for setting me up. Great girls ! We miss you. New management has big shoes to fill.
The new management is awful. (Debbie Miller) This community was once an easy going safe haven for students and middle class people of all sorts. The old manager, Crystal, was amazing. We now find ourselves breaking our lease to leave this complex less than a year after the new management took over. My advice, if you have dogs do not live here. The new reviews on this place are accurate. The good reviews are from when this place was managed by Crystal. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
Island club reviewI wish there was a no star review, unfortunately due to the management change Ill be leaving what was once an amazing place to live. These people are all about money. Ridiculous amenity fees, low income apartment look and poor service.Proper renovations were never completed in my unit
I have lived here at Island Club for 2 months and LOVE IT! Everybody is friendly. I am coming from a property near by that was a bad experience so this is very different Crystal and Shelby have been more than accommodating. I have had 1 work order that was taken care of within hours which is far from what I was use to. This is a great place to call home!
Management is nice until there is an issue. They moved us into an apartment with black mold. All 3 of us got sick. The upstairs HVAC was leaking into our closet. When brought to their attention we were treated as if it was our fault. We were ONLY THERE ONE WEEK. Granted, they let us move out but are still waiting to get our $1500 deposit back. Debbie Miller is rude, difficult to talk to and unwilling to take responsibility. To fix the problem they just spray the mold with kilt.
I have lived here for almost 8 months and its been a fun experience. Management is very good at this complex. Overall i have had no issues and the maintenance crew is the fasted Ive seen so far. I will definitely be renewing.
When I first moved here it was amazing throughout the stay I started to not care for this Apartment complex. They started charging everything. You pay over 1000 a month and can’t have certain things on your porch.? Why pay the price you pay when you can get it somewhere else.
We have been here for over a year-Cant say enough about the wonderful place this is -So many awesome top rate functions for the residents and their guests! The maintainance staff is always on top of every issue that may come up-The office always puts notes and fliers on our doors making us appreciated!
Olivia Brooks, I have lived here for a long time a disagree with your post. I have never seen the police out here and the Ghetto????? that is not the property live on that you have described. My family and I are happy here !
Love this place. Never had a single problem with anyone here, management or other residents.
Change Not Good, Public beware- this complex has changed and not for good. Good reviews reference the office staff but they are gone. This place is not friendly, actually rude and unprofessional. For the 1st time during my residency there are empty apartments everywhere you see. They never had any availablity now they have every type advertised. They say pet friendly which is is not. Signs are plastered all over office door that dogs are not to be on their porch or in office. Previous management kept dog treats for when a dog was brought by. The Gestapo-i mean manager said she will have all dogs out by 1st of year. She actually sent out her dos and donts which among 20 others, one was to have your kids stop yelling and screaming when they get off the school bus. THEY ARE LITTLE KIDS She herself yelled at the kids last week. Please do not rent here for your sake and for the sake of your kids and dogsAll the friends i have met here are leaving, 1 signed new lease somewhere closeby, another boxing up items and ready and i will not be here in 2 months. DO NOT RENT HERE!
We were sent a move-in letter, stating that our move-in day was May 5th, 2018. We were greeted in a very rude manner and both Crystal (the “property manager”) and Shelby (the “office assistant”) looked very surprised by the fact that we were there. Shelby told us the 5th was okay to move in; however, never communicated that to Crystal, and so, they didn’t have an apartment ready for us (although they pretended that they did). Shelby took us to a dirty apartment that had not been cleaned and was saturated with the smell of cigarette smoke. I asked if this was the only apartment available and she reassured me that it was. (I would later have a family member call only to find that there were several available apartments at that time). I began wiping all the cabinets and fixtures, which were all covered in a thick, yellow residue from the previous tenant smoking inside. We also found old clothes that the previous tenant left behind, remnants of food in the kitchen, and dead bugs everywhere. All of our items began to reek of cigarette smoke. My coworkers actually complained of how badly I smelled of smoke.Crystals solution to our problem was to bring a fogger into our apartment and fog the place out to get rid of the cigarette smoke smell. They attempted to come in to our apartment and FOG THE PLACE WHILE OUR ANIMALS WERE INSIDE!We were finally moved to a new unit, which we later discovered it had a serious mold issue. When Joe, the maintenance man arrived, he was incredibly rude and told us that our cat was drinking from her water fountain and dripping water throughout the apartment, and that’s why we had mold (hard to believe someone would suggest this, I know). We eventually realized the A/C unit was leaking behind the walls, when we woke up to a small pond in our hallway. When you report a problem, youll be ASSIGNED instead of asked a time that maintenance can enter your unit. If this day/time doesnt work for you, expect to receive a response similar to, Well the truth is if you have issues with the apartment and you keep complaining of these issues it must not be that serious if you continue to keep rescheduling. So if you work Monday-Friday 9-5, dont dare complain of MOLD in your apartment. Not everyone can be available 24/7 for your sketchy maintenance crew. Some of us have REAL JOBS.As if this place couldn’t get any worse, I was rather embarrassed when my family (including my nine year old sister) came to visit and went to use the pool. During their time at the pool, two young residents entered the pool area with glass beer bottles and began drinking beer and smoking pot at the pool. Mind you, drug deals are not an uncommon occurrence on Island Club property. I suggest closing all windows after dark, as there are usually fights in the parking lot, and revving of engines until 2am.In addition, there are a plethora of wild animals living on the property, probably because the dumpsters overflow with garbage weekly. This may also be the reason for the cockroach issue, which they will insist on coming into your apartment to spray chemicals once a month. So, if you have pets, be prepared to have to accommodate them with less than 24 hours notice. The online portal that is used for monthly payments never works. I ended up writing a cashier’s check for the remainder of our five month rent, so I wouldnt have to have any more communication with these incompetent idiots again.
Islans Club has been really good to us. they care about you and that is not the norm in the apartm, ents I have been in. very clean well kept place. I have not had any issues during my time here
This place is terrible and Debbie Miller is unbelievably rude. Also, the apartments have mold and are wet. Dont move in here!
Truly great apartment. I highly reccomend, due to great customer service. you dont see this all the time but they go out of their way here to maike you feel welcome and part of the communityif you want to live in salisbury, a must to check out
When you have to pay for your grandchildren to use the pool per that’s just not right
We love our Residents!
Horrible management since the new owners took over I don’t know what’s going on I know we will not be renewing our lease and I would not recommend this place to anybody there making it absolutely ridiculous to live here with the rules they’re not properly taken care of the property I’m very disappointed in this last six months since the new ownership is taking control of this place
