We rented two vans. The vans were fine and served our purpose well. I am, however, disappointed in the customer service. During check in, the employee was abrasive/rude through the whole process (talking down to us and complaining about customers). He did say we dont hesitate to charge a cleaning fee. They werent kidding. They charged us extra for having to vacuum (on top of the already high rate). I should have taken warning from all the other complaints about poor customer service and extra cleaning fees. Be prepared if you must choose this company.

I was able to get a rental car last minute and they are super nice! Prices are great during this time! Cars are very clean! I would definitely rent again from this location anyday.

They will lie to the Better Business Bureau to keep your deposit. They kept my deposit for something they made up. Be prepared to lose your deposit. I would swear on my mothers grave. They claimed to find ash in the car. Which was not even used, no smoking, no ashes, just their decision to take the deposit of a 70 YO couple on fixed income. Avoid. You have no choices. You take what they give you and sneer if you mention something else.

Customer service could be better, servicer was very nosy and a bit controlling. Before I could even finish packing my rental car up with my belongings I was asked to move my car off the property. Will never go here again.

Jerome had things ready as I arrived. He was friendly, professional and pleasant. In and out quickly. I wish to thank all I have dealt with at Withnell throughout this engine replacement. I am happy I chose them thus far.

This is a very affordable place to get your car wash you just have to put your car in neutral and sit and the whole machine goes around your car and washes it very good

I have a four month old car and wanted to have it set for winter with a wash and wax. I paid $9 for this. When I got home I noticed a dirty streak clear down the middle of the car. I had to rewash it myself. Wasted $9. Next time I’ll take it to my dealer. Capitol Toyota washes my car free and it’s always clean. I won’t be back to Withnell.

Its a nice little car wash. Nothing fancy. I wanted to get all the ash from the forest fires off my car before it rains. It worked very well. The price is very inexpensive.

Have used them for years and have always had a great experience. This time it was lackluster. The service industry always needs to be on their A game, not C. I will call around next time.

After our 3 year old truck left us stranded on the side of I5 with our travel trailer, kiddo, and dog, this was the only rental company the dealership would go through and cover the cost while the warranty work to replace the motor in our truck was done. They refused to give us a vehicle to pull our trailer with and told us no dogs allowed in the rental. They ended up giving us a Jeep renegade (overrated golf cart) and luckily a friend was able to drive from out of town and haul our trailer and give our dog a ride. When we picked up the renegade we advised them that we needed a truck to haul the trailer (there’s a reason we bought a truck in the first place and not a car) and that we lived on a gravel driveway more suited for a pickup. They gave us the renegade anyways and we were left on our own to find someone to haul our trailer (and dog). When I dropped the car back off they made a comment about how dirty the outside was (remember we live on a gravel road) AND said “just for reference, next time you should clean out the inside before dropping a rental off”. For the record, we warned them we had a toddler prior to pickup and the inside was cleaned of most messes prior to dropping it off, but of course it needed to be vacuumed. Isn’t that their job? Rent out and maintain their fleet?? I certainly hope their is no “next time” for dealing with this company and the dealership.

Love this car wash! Its affordable and quick, so its my favorite in town.You have the option to use their large brushes to remove any road grime before you enter the car wash. Once you enter, the machine moves around your car instead of your car moving through on a track.

This wash is a little old and worn, but the attendant is always friendly, and the price is right. Youll get best results if you use the brushes provided (on back middle of your car, the entire lower portion on both sides, and under door handles) before entering the wash. I didnt do this and my car was pretty dirty there still. These guys happily let me go through a second time with the tips provided above, even though I only bought the 4 dollar wash. Now that I know where to scrub, next time will be better. Convenient location, especially when headed north on commercial st.

We rented an almost brand new 7 passenger Dodge for a trip to and from San Diego before Christmas and after checking with other car rentals in Salem selected Withnell. We were very happy with their personal service and clean, well maintained rental vehicle. So much so, we have again asked them to provide us with another vehicle for our next trip.We liked the fact that the rental vehicles are serviced and maintained by their dealership while the other car renters seem not to care as much as Withnell does about the quality and safety of their rental vehicles. Also, when all was said and done, Withnell was less expensive than all other rental car providers in Salem.

Dont come here for the automatic car wash if there are cars in line. Just waited 30+ minutes with 4 cars in line. Dont waste your time. Pay a couple extra dollars for faster service.

The customer service is not good. The price is cheap but you get what you pay for cheap price equals cheap car wash still had dirt on my truck. Avoid getting a car wash here. One of the employees with a chain had low disregard for customer service.

Had a rig break down on the way out of town. Withnell fixed us up in a sport utility and we got such great mileage we figured we better start looking for a new one. Where else would you go after such great service than Withnell Motor Company in Salem.

We were getting ready to leave for a trip and I had a van reserved through another rental company. I found out the day before that our van didnt come with a DVD player which was one of the MAIN reasons we were renting it! I called around to other known rental car places and either couldnt get through or was told they had no availability at all. Then I found Withnell. I called and was told all of their vans come standard with DVD players, they had one available and it was only $7 more for the week than the other one I had reserved! It was a no-brainer. I cancelled and went with them. They were very helpful and I will definitely be a return customer for future rentals! Thank you!

Manager is very helpful, friendly, and funny. It is always nice to come in for a quick wash. There is almost never a line and the car comes out sparkly clean especially with a quick pre scrub . Renting cars from this same location is also so nice they are extremely accomodating for example when I had warranty work done on my truck and didnt want to have to transfer myself and my son and carseat stroller etc from car to car to car to car so they didnt mind letting me drop the rental off at the service area up the street and transfer straight back into my truck. The attendant even kept my son entertained while I clicked the carseat in 😊👶

Great and quick car rental service. Needed a rental for just 3 hours. Expected to pay $105. They cut the rate in half!

Hours are horrible they are not open long enough for someone who works five days a week and commutes to Portland daily. I have Sundays and Mondays off. Otherwise they seem to get the sap off well and it doesnt scrape the undercarriage like other carwashes, because my car is small and low to the ground . I like the way it washed.

This place has a very old stationary unit which isnt half-bad and does a decent job but theres absolutely no follow-up the drying system is completely incapable of drawing the car and they dont have people to wipe it down so your car is left with spots all over the place no better than before it came in

I came in on Saturday to get my car washed your website shows they close at 4 PM, where is arrived at 3:45 I was told it was shut down in preparation for closing. I did convince the attendant to let me get my car washed, she did it reluctantly. I understad wanting to leave work on time but you are open intel 4, maybe change it to 3:45?
