Bill is a great guy and he cuts my hair the way I like it. I moved to Salem six years ago and had a hard time finding a good barber. Then one day I found Bill, a great guy who I now consider as a good friend. I like to share stories with him and joke around too.

I called around Salem several years ago seeking a barber who talked politics and religion. Here in Oregons State Capital city I thought that wouldnt be a problem. I was wrong. There is one exception. I happened to get a call back from Bill Boring and his Clipper Barber Shop. We have become close friends now. I always remark that I go to Bill for the counseling and get the hair cut for free. Bill has become a close friend. He still does cut hair for $10 and children for $5. He does some house call cutting. His shop is open Tuesday - Friday. Although he recently added a lighted barber pole light and is open till 5pm, best to call after 3pm as some times he heads home early if he has no appointments.

Today is Friday and I walked into Mr. Borings shop at 4:30 p.m. asking for a trim of six inches off my waist-length, gray hair. Im a female, by the way.Mr. Boring was about to leave for the day and yet he graciously made room for one more customer in his day. He did an excellent job and cut my hair exactly the amount I requested. He understood how difficult it can be to let go of any length, when youre growing your hair long. He was careful to let me look in the mirror to check on his progress frequently, as he trimmed. He made me feel beautiful again!What a kind, polite gentleman!
