Our gas dryer would not heat up. We called David and he was able to work us into his schedule about two hours after we called. He was able to quickly diagnose that our dryer had a failed thermal fuse. He promptly replaced the fuse, looked over our dryer and did a thorough test. The cost was very reasonable and the overall experience exceeded our expectations.

Called and scheduled a diagnosis for my dryer. He diagnosed and fixed my dryer in less than 1 hour! Very friendly and fair priced. He informed me that the previous appliance repairman had used cheap Amazon parts and he installed a quality factory part. I appreciated his honesty and will definitely recommend him to anyone looking for repair needs.

My Samsung dryer had been sounding like it was drying marbles days. A few hours ago it stopped turning completely. I have a 13-year-old son and another foster child and I do dog fostering and I must have a washer and dryer. He prompted answered the phone, immediately texted me when I forgot to send my address, and he showed up on time and the same day and got my dryer fixed in a matter of minutes for a fair price.

Never have I called an appliance repair shop and not been told “We charge $100+ to come assess the problem and then apply that towards your bill”. I called and talked to Dave. He was very pleasant, and asked me to take a few pictures. I did and sent them off to him. He called me back to let me know that he felt all I had to do is push the part that came off back into place. He walked me through it but I wasn’t strong enough. When my husband came home he did the job. Have you ever had an appliance repair man give you directions to fix the problem so you didn’t have to pay him to come out? I haven’t. And that’s what he told me he was doing. I have added Given Appliance to my contacts and I will be calling in the future!!

I chose David Givens based on the online reviews and was not disappointed. I decided to add my own glowing review. He came out to look at my refrigerator within a couple of hours after receiving my call. He assessed the situation and provided a couple of options - one as an inexpensive fix and the second to replace a motor. I opted for replacing the motor. I appreciated the two options and his professionalism. I called him on a Friday morning. The new motor was installed Monday morning. The temporary fix got me through the weekend. I highly recommend David.

The repair to our dryer was done the same day, David showed up at the time he stated, very nice and professional, repaired our dryer with an $80 part when his competitors were suggesting buying a new unit. He fixed my washing machine the first time, on time, and his rate was really great. He knows what hes doing, unlike other repair companies Ive used that call someone (who knows where) to be told what to do.Finally!

He figured out what caused the spin cycle to stop & made the repair with a part he brought. He was friendly but very focast on fixing the problem. I would call him again if we have appliance issues.

I called Dave this morning regarding a failed Lid switch on my washing machine He gave me an exact price to repair it and he was out to my home in less than 1.5 hours. He was very courteous, replaced the part quickly, put the washing machine back into position and charged exactly what he said he would. I needed a specific part for my Kenmore washer that I planned to replace myself. I called three stores in Salem. Givens was the 3rd call I made. They had the lowest price on the part I needed out of the 3 stores so I went with them.THEN, I got excellent service on top of the price! The guy on the phone said he was already in my area and delivered the part to my work free of charge. When he got to my workplace, he spent another 5 minutes giving me tips on how to reinstall the part. Awesome service! David is knowledgeable and was quick to diagnose the problem with our Amana refrigerator (the control board was bad and would not perform the auto defrost). He gave us options: 1. A next day repair at a significantly higher cost because of the price of getting the part overnight from Portland, or Option 2 was a repair at less cost, but having to wait a few days for the part. He showed us how to put the unit into a manual forced defrost we could do each day until the part arrived. We opted for the less cost option. When the part came in he promptly came and installed it. The cost was reasonable. I will use him again should the need arise. He now has 18 of 18 Five Star ratings.

I called and left a message then got a call back with in minutes. David was then at my house with 5 minutes. He came for one problem and I told him about another issue I was having. Wouldnt even consider getting involved with my aquarium chiller, its no different than any refrigeration system, he wouldnt even troubleshoot it, just referred me to a commercial company for a fish tank cooler .
