Sears is the worst ever since the local store closed. The customer service is non existent. I have been trying to get a microwave/oven combo wall unit fixed for over a year. I have had to start over multiple times and you can never really h anyone who can actually help you other than to schedule an appointment. I have had the tech not show up for appointments at least twice and reschedule multiple times. Then the parts don’t come on or are unavailable and in and on. Now I’m having issues trying to get my cooktop repaired as well. I will NEVER purchase the maintenance agreement from Sears again. It use to be a comfort knowing my appliances were covered. Now it’s a nightmare.

Sears Appliance Repair uses local contractors and I was fortunate to have Craigs Appliance Repair service my Maytag dishwasher. Craig responded quickly, ordered the replacement parts, returned for installation and the dishwasher is working as good as new. Thats why I am glad to be able to count on a Sears service agreement.

My experience was very positive. Maintenance rep kept me up to date regarding arrival time. Upon arrival, he was very friendly and professional. Got to the annual maintenance quickly. Helped me understand a few actions I could do to ensure good performance from my washer/dryer. I appreciated his feedback and felt he did a good job. Highly recommend using his service.

I work full-time and having a schedule window was very important to me. Service was supposed to be 1p-5p with a call and text when tech was on the way. I got a call and text at 10:45am that tech was coming. I contacted Sears and they said, no, he will be there at 2:45pm, I checked my outdoor home security and the tech WAS waiting outside my home from 11:00am until I could get home just before 1pm. Once here, the tech blamed Sears for not knowing what they were doing with scheduling and he could not do anything for my oven except charge me $109 and say I probably need a new one.

When dealing with Sears I received the really good service I was used to. However; using the home warranty program through them was very hard because it took so long to resolve my appliance repair issue. I had to wait 7 days for Cross Country to decide if they would replace my appliance. Once the decision was reached all was good. It just takes too long from the report of a problem to getting it resolved especially for someone as busy as I am. and especially when its a critical appliance such as a refrigerator.

Wish I could give a zero rating or even a negative rating. Sears is a joke! We havent had our washer since June. Finally they agreed to replace it. We have a warranty but the price they gave me didnt cover the cost for one like ours. I called and the warranty lady agreed for me to get a certain model. She offered it l, not me. I went to the store and it was a lie. They would only give us another low quality one. Do not believe anything they say. Ask for your message to be recorded and a conformation number as well as the name of who you are talking to and their ID number. If not, they will conveniently have no trace of your call.

Service was on time as scheduled. The technician was polite and got right to work. Unfortunately, the wrong part had been sent so he was unable to complete the needed repair. So we will need to get a new appointment when the new part arrives. This is a considerable inconvenience to us. This is no fault of the technician but the part supplier. So with two visits already (first visit diagnostic, second failed installation due to wrong part) the third will be a charm. We are in a distant location so getting an appointment is a bit difficult. So can only testify to the politeness and on time scheduled visits, not the outcome.

Frustrating it takes a. Week or linger to get someone to come out to my house when I have paid warranty. Then technician fixes one issue only to leave another issue... wait another 7-8 days to get that fixed and another issue wait another week and hundreds of food thrown away from my brand new fridge and wait again. The technician was friendly and helpful but it takes too long to get them here and then dumb things like they didn’t put things back or didn’t turn the light back on in the freezer etc and I don’t know how to renegade the light they disabled. 4 times for all these dumb little issues and nearly $300.00 of food thrown away.

The repair was done well and the servicemen were polite. However, I was shocked at the cost of simple repair, and especially parts. My refrigerator was only 2 1/2 years old, and I had expected it to be of high quality, based on my experience of Sears products over the past. Next time I need to buy an appliance I will do more research on the reliability of the product. I think the extended warranties and the annual maintenance offers are basically a scam.

He was MORE then awesome and he did a really good job. He went thru everything and even replaced the nasty rubber gasket in the washer. He told me about soap usage and gave me lots of great tips. This man was really nice and friendly. He is the BEST one that I have had so far and he has made me a firm believer in keeping my maintenance agreement going. Wow, I am telling everybody to do this and showing them what it would have cost if I had not done it or had this. He deserves a BIG RAISE... Although both technicians were amazing, it is the scheduling system that needs an overhaul. The parts were shipped to me, and the schedulers were worried they wouldnt arrive in time, pushing my repair appointment out another additional week. (almost four weeks total). Since the repairman are in such high demand, it seems you could wait a little closer to the appointment to change it. All my parts arrived prior to my original appointment.

My washer went out. I had the extended warranty, so I scheduled an appointment to repair it.The actual repair men who showed up were OK. They were friendly, and two of the three were competent. The first one didnt order all the parts he needed and wasnt sure he was even ordering g the right parts I the first place. The second one ordered the rest of the parts and put a rush on them, which I thought was cool. I mean, it was an extended warranty repair, which costs extra on top of the price of the washer.The trouble came up with the call center. They bumped our scheduled appointment back because there was a problem with the scheduling software. After spending an hour and a half talking to five different representatives, two of whom were escalation reps, I got nowhere.Then, they bumped the new scheduled appointment for the same reason. It took a month (November 10 to December 15) for our repair to get done. I will not be making purchases at sears, nor shall I be dealing with their service department ever again. That was one of the worst experiences as a customer Ive ever had.Edit to add: its now January 30 and the washer is still not fixed. Theyve come out five times, with no resolution in sight. Theyre scheduled to come back out again on February 3, but based on track record Im not holding out hope. Ive asked for a new washer and been told that until the tech determines that your washer is unrepairable, thats not an option...

Sean was our repairman to install a new water valve. He was able to turn off the water at the connection and install quickly, but the water still did not flow to the icemaker. He then checked the icemaker to see the problem was ice in the connection. He defrosted this blockage and tested it to see that all was working fine. He did an excellent job. We were very please with his service!

Everyone was excellent and they kept me informed of updated appt times and came when they had promised. Work performed has been well worth the money as opposed to buying two new appliances.

Both of the people who came to my house to repair my dishwasher were very knowledgeable about their profession. The first diagnosed the problem and ordered the part, the second came and installed it. Dryer is having troubles starting, it stops then starts then stops etc... Service Technician was knowledgeable, helpful, careful and provided clean work. Unfortunately the part is no longer available and we are left waiting for the day it completely quits running. Weve had Sears service agreements on all our appliances over the past 20 years and always find the service technicians to deliver top notch service and repairs. the manufacturers seem to know that the parts most last more then five years, go figure.

They promised to have the part needed when technician came in a week. He did NOT have the part but demanded I pay the $109 diagnostic fee despite not keeping their word. I filed a complaint with Oregon DOJ. Suggest everyone ripped off by Sears Appliance Repair anywhere in Oregon file a complaint. They appear to be a scam. Not sure they intended to ever have the part but a quick way to stop in and get $109 for ten minutes.

Scheduled service for fridge, first sears canceled our service and rescheduled. It was for between 1 and 5pm, got a call that technician would be late. Didnt show until 7:30 pm, I feel this is unacceptable but wasnt going to reschedule again. Technician did a fair job, thats the only reason I gave 2 stars for this review. Wont use Sears again.

Sadly, 4 out of 4 of our kitchen appliances were defective. I spent a lot of money purchasing top of the line gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher.All were defective. the gas stove had a MAJOR gas leak from one of the elements. It took 2 technicians coming to my home twice to fix it ($135 per tech per hour). they were able to find the leak, order the part, and fix it within 2 weeks.The microwave has a piece of cardboard on the interior that was broken and needed to be replaced. Again 1 technician at $135, I declined the service call to install it, it was pretty simple.The dishwasher was insane. I did one load of dishes and noticed a leak. It took about a week for a technician to come check it out. He decided it was unfixable and needed to be completely replaced. Ironically, he was here at the same time 2 other technicians were here. Sears Appliance Repair coordinators are into wasting resources, I realize they are under manufacturers warranties, but at $135 per technician, that is crazy.Anyway on the Bosch dishwasher, a new one arrived after dealing with the Home Appliance Repair people for several days. The technician told me that he would order the new one, but when I called to check on it, I was told that it had to go through a review process and they did not even know that it had to be replaced. Well, after another two weeks it arrived a couple of days ago. I was told that it would be installed by the technicians. Again I had to speak to several people (mainly from the National call center in India. By the way, even if you get their names for future reference they make them up, one lady was named Harvey one time, another told me her name was Erica at the beginning of the call, then told me Jan at the end of the call.Anyway to make a long story short, I was informed that I would have to pay for installation if I wanted Sears Appliance Repair to install the new dishwasher. Now I have a defective dishwasher with the new one sitting in my family room. I refuse to pay an installation charge for a defective machine, especially when I paid for the 5 year protection plan. Now I am also stuck with a defective dishwasher, they told me it was my responsibility to dispose of it, not theirs.Finally my Kenmore Elite refrigerator has a broken shelf. I called to have it replaced. I was informed that if I ordered the part I would have to install it. However, if a technician from Sears Appliance Repair came out and ordered it (which cost $179 today), they would be responsible to install it. Well, the technician came out today and fixed it by shoving it into the whole better, the broken part is still broken. I wasnt available when he came, so I called him back and told him that I did not appreciate the fact that the fix he did was unacceptable and I want a new part. He got upset, but finally told me that he would order the new part but I would have to install it. Again, I told him that if I wanted to repair it myself, I would have done that in the first place.These are all brand new Kenmore Elite and Bosch appliances. All were defective upon receipt.The nightmare is still not over and I am getting really disgusted by the way this has been handled by Sears Appliance Repair. The actual technicians are very nice, however the Sears National Call Center (in India) is a joke.Sears use to stand behind their products, now they are just in the business of selling and not taking care of the customer.I would not recommend buying any high end products from Sears. I know I wont ever again.

I was so thankful I purchased the service warranty for my HVAC unit when I first moved to Oregon. My unit failed within my one year warranty and Sears replaced parts that would have cost me $2500 if I had not gotten the warranty!!! It was well worth the cost of the service warranty!! The worst experience ever! The technician says he fixed my dryer but right after he leaves I run a load and there is a loud banging noise and it doesnt heat up. I call customer service and the representative says I have to reschedule service for next week and pay for the parts he broke. What a waste of my time and money! Save yourself from this nightmare!

I ONLY have Sears technicians work on my appliances (not even happy with sub-contracted service providers through Sears, I always insist on an actual Sears tech.). We have been dealing with a refrigerator/freezer that does not get/stay cold or freezes at least a month now and in the meantime have lost a lot of food. Several service calls have been performed. Three parts needed to be ordered at the first service call. At the second service call the repair tech said only 1 needed to be installed. Since then it has taken 4 days for the refrigerator to get cold and the freezer is still not freezing. Not a happy camper with Sears product or repair at the moment.

He did a professional job. He had two appliances to check, my range & refrigerator. (I own 5 Sears appliances; freezer, and wash/dryer.) Checked more items than I would have doing a maintenance check.( I have also serviced many appliances as an Electrician & Instrument/Electronic Tech.) I purchased 3 service agreements because of the electronics on the range, refrigerator, & freezer and we have power outages & brownouts in this area. I have a transfer switch and a 12KW generator when I need it for my well, furnace, freezer & refer & a few outlets for microwave & hotplate.

Scheduled appt for 1-5 pm and of course I get a call around 4:15 pm from the repair person that he is running late and to expect him in 40 min. That was the only disappointment of the entire service visit. He was polite and very apologetic about the delay. He serviced three appliances promptly (Microwave, Stove, & Dishwasher) all along giving me tips on use and how to avoid misuse. Overall, very good service and customer service.

FIRST of all the date you are showing is incorrect...however after 3 different repair visits over 2+ months of waiting, none of the repairmen were able to repair my frige. Finally I was given a replacement, which I am currently waiting for. This has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced...frige broke on 5-5, it is now 7-19...seem a little too long to you? Have spent hours on the phone and waiting. We shall see how the replacement does. Extremely poor customer service.

But what baffles me is that since your scheduler always wants to know exactly whats the problem, why doesnt the repairman arrive with the parts to fix it? Ice maker stopped working on my frig because the heater ceased to work. Repair technician came when promised. The process of replacing the tubing was a fiasco. Because of the way the frig is designed a trained technician had no choice but to either shove or finesse the new tubing through a hole in the door from the top of the frig to the bottom. It took two hours. He tested and left. I got twelve ice cubes before the ice maker stopped working again. Now I am told that there is a kink in the tubing that has stopped the water flow. DUH!!! What did you expect when you shove a too large tube through a too small hole.

I cannot rate this business other to say that when I tried to call them on Saturday, December 14th at 4:30pm to check availability of a part for a dishwasher, Google Maps indicated they were open until 7pm on Saturdays, and no one answered the phone, needless to say I was frustrated. I found the part I was looking for online and purchased it. I generally try to shop locally first, but when the business is not there to accept my business, I move on. Sorry.

What we paid for and what we received did not seem to be equal. The technician would not reinstall the washing machine after he repaired it (which is what my initial request was for) and said an install person would be needed. This is ridiculous. Your service is a cruel joke and needs to be addressed. People should not have to call two separate services to get their appliance up and running. Your phone support was even less helpful. I wont be calling you again.
