Salem Taxi to the rescue! My mother, who is disabled, was stranded at Market Basket for several hours after accidentally locking her keys in her car, and her road service never showed up. To add to the anxiety, her cell phone battery was almost dead due to the repeated long phone waits with the road service. I called Salem Taxi, who was there sooner than estimated (less than 10 min). Her driver, Delphina picked her up, brought her home to get her spare key, drove her back to her car and waited to ensure her car started. She then called me to tell me my Mom was safely in her car and on the way home. What an amazing, kind person who gave my Mom (and me) comfort during a stressful time. The dispatcher was also wonderful. I can’t thank you enough, Salem Taxi. Delphina, you were our Angel tonight, thank you so much.Ps, I’ll also be writing an Allstate road service review, which will be quite different.

Left me outside for an hour and a half waiting!! Never showed up!! And than lied and said they sent a taxi when I had been waiting all that time!! I will ask for the video from Market Basket and show that you are lying!! The dispatcher had the audacity to lie and than tell me she didnt like the way that I talked to her! Well I dont like how you treated me and lied on top of it!!! I will NEVER use your company and I will let everyone know!!

This taxi service is deplorable. Driver two days ago brought my 63 year old mother home. Talked on his cell phone the entire time, drove her in circles to get her home and blew a light at a dangerous intersection because of cell phone use. Upon arriving at her house he told her that he didn’t have change when she paid with $20 and waited outside of her house as she walked to a corner store in snow to break the $20. Please don’t use this service. Uber or Lyft all the way. Salem Taxi, I suggest that you hire some kinder and more professional drivers. You’re lucky I wasn’t there when my mother was mistreated in such a way.

Your driver in a minivan almost hit me at the Northshore mall yesterday. I was walking through the parking spots waiting to cross the roadway in front of the cheesecake factory to go into the mall. He came from the roadway and turned left to cut through the parking spots and stopped right in front of me at the last second. He started yelling do u want me to you!?!? I told him he cant cut through parking spots, he had to drive in the lanes where youre supposed to drive! Then he just kept yelling at me.

Over charged me $25 for a 10 min 4 mile drive!

Why does every cab driver try to rip you off?

Consistently the worst drivers in the city. They blow stop signs, run red lights, and flip you off as they do so. I would recommend staying far away from this service

My daughter and I have used Salem Taxi regularly for almost two years. I have never had a bad experience. They are on time as estimated, sometimes earlier. They are clean and polite and they drive safely. I have had good experiences with them and I recommend them.

Whoever drives taxi number 6 do not trust the guy. He was just off duty and was driving someone he knows to stores around the Salem area conning the cashiers for money, absolutely disgusting.

Witnessed one of their drivers today get out of his cab in the middle of an intersection in Salem and start throwing punches through somebody’s window. does not look too professional. I actually have it all on dash cam

I am very pleased with car three driver in the evening speaks English plays music I like and is very polite when taking a cab call for car three day or evening .He drives very safe I have told several of my friends to call for car three thank you car three.

Piece of S#&t charged me 20$ for a 2.2 mile ride as he took back roads instead of 4 min down highway.Will never call them again.I tossed a 10 at him and got out of car as he asked me what I think I should pay???!!!Scumbag company!Never again!!!!

Terrible. They say 10 minutes. 20 minutes goes by so I call again. They said theres alot of traffic downtown. Okay so why the hell would you tell me it would be 10 minutes if you know therea a bunch of traffic?

Called the day before to set up a pickup at Logan Airport. Took all of my info, including flight info. I asked if they track the flights and was told yes. Flight got in at 11:05PM. NO SALEM TAXI. I called and they had no record. These people should just close down. They are no good. Do not use them. I was so angry at the airport, I ended up leaving my fishing rods at the airport. They are worth about $300. Thanks for nothing Salem taxi. You suck. If I could give zero stars, I would.

This is the taxi service that gave uber the idea to start their business. Better luck walking than waiting around for this taxi service.

If there was a rate below 1 star, that’s the rate I would give. Only two drivers are actually on time or ahead of schedule, besides that, they are ALWAYS later than they say it’ll take. And the guy on the phone is NO HELP AT ALL!! Says, “they’re around the corner” or “2min he’ll be there” and 10min later they show up. Save yourself the headache and money, it’s not worth it.

I have had terrible experiences with tri city taxi . And salem taxi is the best in my opinion they are respectful and always giving there customers best price. This was the worst experience ever...we waited an hour for the cab to show up when we were quoted 15 min. he then proceeded to pick his friend up at tbones. they spoke spanish the entire way home, which is very very rude and inconsiderate. when you are driving customers home why would you stop and pick up a friend?? this is a service i was paying for and will never call this company again!!! UBER all the way!

Fast service and drivers are helpfull

Horrible. Absolutely the worst dispatcher. Over 20 mins late and when I called they stated the cab was 3 mins away. I was in downtown Salem and they didnt know the area. Never again. Plus the dispatcher Danny yelled at me when I called asking where my cab was and later told the driver I was crazy over the phone and I could hear him.

I called for a cab they came on time dont speak english very well and no one asked if it was ok for them to pick up someone else i have some place to be i dont have time to wait for other people normally i would but today is important! I will never use this company ever again!

Unbelievably unreliable. Every time you call the eta is 10 minutes, and every time I end up standing outside waiting for the next 30-40 minutes. I mustve missed my train a dozen times. Thanks guys.

Driver did not know how to get to Swampscott. He ended up in Marblehead and did not listen to my directions back

Ripoff. Told it would be a 10 dollar fare, but when we reached the destination, I was charged 25 dollars. Addionally, picked up after 30 minute wait instead of the 10 minutes I was promised. Use a sunshine cab instead. Cheaper.

The service is highly lacking. The drivers on several occasions do not call to notify that they have already arrived at the pick-up site. On other occasions, the waiting time they say is not the real one, and therefore they do not allow to control the time. The last time I took the service, the driver did not respond to the central, and the location provided by him was not where he claimed to be, close to the pick-up point. I definitely do not recommend it.
