Went to the shop, no one was there. The sign said opens at 9 but the place was dark. There was also a sign on the door that said be back at 10 am. It was 11 am but still no one was there.

But you know the saying, you cant please everyone.The quoted statement above is a response that Als Appliances had to a negative review left by someone that I am familiar with and I was actually there the day Al thoroughly vetted the refrigerator. I just have to respond to this...Al, you were there for at most, TEN MINUTES. You looked behind the refrigerator for a few minutes and then guessed that it was a motherboard issue. And then told us that you werent sure.We had a different repairman come out two days later who quickly diagnosed the problem. And guess what? It wasnt a motherboard issue! The repairman actually laughed when we told him that the guy who was here before guessed that the problem involved the motherboard.So no, nothing was thoroughly vetted by you. How do you even have the gall to say this when you looked at it for a few minutes and then made a diagnosis that was so far off? A diagnosis that another repairman actually laughed at because it was so ridiculous. Come on Al, dont respond to negative reviews with lies just to make yourself look better.

Ripped off my 84 year old mother.Came to repair a dryer for my mom i went over there because my mother isnt comfortable being there alone with strangers.some guy pulls up in an unmarked vehicle. and comes to the door. he had no tools, no flashlight. absolutely nothing. how is this guy going to inspect anything? he pulled out the dryer and looked behind it for 2 minutes. said that he would look at some parts for it but ultimately wasnt sure and would give us a call back.never heard a word from him again. he took the money and ran.we ended up having home depot home service come out. they found the problem within minutes and they came back the next day and fixed it. dryer works like brand new.in short, AL IS A CON MAN WITH NO MORALES!! he will not hesitate to rip you off.

Came out to repair our refrigerator. Walked in with only a screw driver. Went to the back of the refrigerator and checked the mother board, and the condensers. He finally concluded it’s a condenser...”but I don’t repair those”. “ However, let me do some research to see if I will be able to repair it”. We paid the service call and good bye! Never heard from him.A couple days later, had a reputable service man come to the house. They went through the front of the fridge and took off the inside back panel. Al’s appliance never did this. I told the reputable service man that Al thought it was the motherboard. He let a chuckle out and said...this is not a motherboard issue. He diagnosed the problem with a leak in the cooling system (the evaporator) and the condenser.I would never call AL’s appliance for anything. We definitely wasted out money on Al. Even though his service call was almost half of what the reputable service man was. You know the expression...” you get what you pay for”.

Dan Smith.The most generic name ever and the account has only one review. Hmmmmm.Now, if I was to bet I would say that this Dan Smith is either en employee at Als or a close friend or relative trying to do some damage control here.I mean, Als Appliance Service is getting bombed with negative reviews for a reason. Al seems like a nice guy at first, but he honestly doesnt know what hes doing. Al will have no problem taking your money despite not fixing the problem.Thanks for the laugh Dan Smith. Anyone who has dealt with Al knows just how much of a joke your fake review is. Next time you do some damage control for a company and write fake reviews, dont make it so obvious.

Hi Al, who should probably be more concerned with the quality of the service you’re providing instead of responding to negative reviews with snide remarks.I was simply pointing out how obvious it is that the fake review was left by someone that is likely associated with your business. Yet, all you took out of it was that I made a gibe at the account for having such a generic username and ignored everything else I said. How amusing.“It’s hard to please everybody, but we’re still going.”As if that wasn’t obvious by looking at your reviews. Just drove by your little dump the other day; clearly not much of the money you steal from people is going into the shop, huh? Looks really bad.

I convinced my 70 year old mother that this was a reputable place to buy a washer from. The washer she bought shakes extremely bad when there is nothing in it. When she tried to bring it back they refused to honor her return. She was told they would attempt to fix it again. If by after you mean two weeks after it was purchased and you told her it is your policy to not return ANY purchases

I called to have my dryer fixed and the repair man came the same day. The price was fair and Im satisfied with the services I received. Thank you for coming out on such short notice.

Mario schedule appointments and then forgets about them. I had to keep calling several times for days. A week later he answer and say that he forgot and will squeeze me in a hour. I told him I was home and provided my address several times. He still did not show up. Meanwhile my children and I are without a refrigerator. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCK AND DUE TO THE FLOOD AND PANDEMIC IM HIGHLY UPSET. THIS MAN NEEDS HELP BECAUSE HES OBVIOUSLY OVERWHELMED. All other shops are a booked a week out due to the flood so Im forced to wait for these people or go another week without a refrigerator.

Shoehorned behind a party store in Shields, you’ll find Al’s Appliance’s. These jokers sold us a part for our dryer and assured us it was the right one. The guy happened to write “all sales final” on the receipt and low and behold the part was the completely wrong one. Like not even close. Stay away from this place. If you’re looking for a shady business to rip you off, this is the one for you.

Dont waste your money. My washer wouldnt turn on and he said it my fault. He doesnt give refunds on anything. He gets really rude if you try to returm an item. He makes you pay him to fix your appliances you bought from him also he charges you if they have to get the item. Also when he tells you a price over the phone you also have to give them a broken appliance you have or it 50 dollars more. He wont let you check to see if it works he just avoids the question and doesnt let you try the machine. He a crook tbh. You can only trade in the broken appliance you bought for other items in the store but nothing else works. I dont believe he even fixes on the appliances.

This place is phenomenal! My freezer broke down just recently and I was devastated when I realized that is was no longer working like it should. In this hot weather, I knew all my meats were going to go bad if I left this unchecked so I called this place. The man who answered the phone was so kind and knowledgeable, he even offered to stop by the same day I called. He was quick and efficient with the repair, and I couldnt be happier. Id highly recommend Als Appliance to anyone whos looking for great services and reasonable prices.

Over all a good experience. He is a little pricey but fixed my problem which was the most important thing. Very respectful, showed up on time and kept me updated with his progress. My mother felt comfortable with him alone with her in the home.

This guy is fantastic! Very honest, kind, and hardworking. We called around everywhere trying to find a part for our Kenmore appliance. He took our information and told us hed call us back. He called back within minutes, and he had a part he thought would work. We bought it for just under half the price of the same part at Sears(who wouldve had to order it and who told us they expected it to take 1-2 weeks for a replacement part). Thank you Als Appliance Repair! Were so glad we found you!

Great repairman. Keeps the appliances running nicely and always gets the new parts in more quickly and at less cost than the other guys. He has been taking care of our extended families for 23 years now.Thank you Al

Came out as planned fixed the problem in a reasonable amount of time and appeared to be very knowledgeable of product (Samsung gas dryer) digital.

Sold me a $300 washer that doesn’t work and now won’t return my calls.. thanks for wasting my time (30 minute wait for him to come to the store) and my money.

Al has always taken care of us very well. We purchased a used fridge from him for the garage and couldnt be happier with it. We have had him to our rental several times and he has always been prompt and very fair. He was recommended to us by my parents who also have shopped with him and had repairs done on numerous rental unit appliances.

Ive always had a GREAT experience when Ive had to get parts for my dryer. He always has had the part that Ive needed. Always friendly, helpful and accommodating!!!

I should of read this before I called! I walk my dog by this place everyday and I ask this guy what it would cost to fix my dryer. He gives me a ball park price of $75. I call down there and leave a message and they get back to me 3 weeks later.We finally get a time to come look at the dryer and he is about 45 minutes late. He comes in, looks at the dryer and tells me its going to be $135 dollars to fix it. Long story short. I end up paying a $35 service call fee (I live a block away) for a guy to look at my dryer for 8 minutes and tell me I need a $15 part.I would of gladly paid $75 bucks to have this fixed but I wont let this guy gauge me. Save your money and your time and go elsewhere.

Came in on a Sunday and found the part I needed to get my fridge back up and running after I couldnt get the part at the Maytag store because their service department is closed on Sundays (even though the sales side was open). Great service by Als to come in and get me the part I needed.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY~ I called them before hand due to this place was far from where I lived and when I did get there, the salesperson had the credit card machine unplugged claimed he could not turn it on he was all outside clicking on switches to get it to work. No consumer training. Couldnt understand anything the old man was saying. Very poor service.

Terrible terrible service! I want to give no stars but its wont let me! Do not call this place for anything ! Cant understand the man at all who answers the phone. Repair man did not show up after I waited all morning for him, finally called 1 and half hours later he didnt even know who I was and asked for my address three more times! This place is a joke!
