I pass by at least twice a day. It is very sad how brown the lawn is on half of the property. I wish they would call the city about the homeless people living across the street. It is so disrespectful. Trash tends to sit out front for days. Please if you can drive by this location before you decide to lay your loved ones to rest here.
The lawn care is so bad here. We’ve discussed with the staff and they say there working on it but it has been years. I have so much family here and it hurt to visit and see how they are treated. As veterans they have never put flags on headstones. Please keep your business away, I don’t know how they can treat veterans and children who have past away like this. Their families deserve better.
Yolanda is awful. Not compassionate at all! Very cold and somber and I had To ask her multiple times to do the basic functions of her job and she still has me in limbo for information about outside sources for a headstone since the 6 month wait to order one through her is atrocious. Extremely dissatisfiedYou replied claiming your sorry and you would like to make it better yet Yolanda is still showing her incompentcies by still not sending the simple email that would surface for her attempt at doing her job and despite my email to her seeking assistance. So no you dont wish to rectify it
I am honestly disappointed the part where my family is laid to rest the grass is so dry (Garden of Internal rest) also Yolonda is so Disrespectful when it comes to the head stones cause when we want an Update all she says is it hasn’t been 6th months when really it’s almost been a year and she said it should have been here in March then she said May now look almost a year
The lawn looks horrible my family flower holder is smashed they other one is stuck idk why the lawn looks this way its been months an ZERO change
I was going to put 1 star until yesterday. It took me a month of diligence but my families headstones are cleaned up . The grass had over ran the stones. But THANKS to Laura from the office they are all cleaned up and nice looking. Thank you Laura for your personal time and your effort to help fix my problem. I appreciate youRecent>>>Went out again and my sisters headstone ROCKS back n forth.. ???Put in a work order. Lets see if it takes MONTHS to get that fixed!!😡
Edit: They replied within three hours, and the employee I was supposed to hear from called me the same day I left this review, which was almost worse after being ignored for more than two weeks.I called when my mother was terminal and had a very brief appointment on a Saturday, and was told they needed to look into a special request she had for her burial and I would get a call Monday or Tuesday. An hour before close Tuesday I sent a message. On Thursday I tried again and got no response. It was a waste of time I didnt really have since my mother was declining rapidly. I ended up paying a $1200 non-resident fee to bury my mother in Davis. Either this cemetery is so busy they have more to do than they can handle, or they just dont want business. Either way, I recommend you avoid them.
I go to cemetery almost every day, the lawn looks bad it needs mowed and watered I have never seen it so bad . I have a lot of family buried there Im ashamed of the way it looks I know one thing Ill never be buried there. Please spend some money to keep it looking good please. Thank you Robert Tallman sr.
There were lots of flowers because it was Mothers day
This place is a real rip-off. First they refused to work with us on the outages fees they charge. For the exact same services they did and charged over 1100.00 for I could have got at another local funeral home for half of the cost. My dad was a veteran and there was no real discount given. When I asked to move my father they demanded a 500.00 fee for my father being there. Then it was arranged that my father was to be sent to the military cemetery in Dixon. So I checked at Dixon and there is no record of him there or at any cemetery. I contacted sunset to ask what was going on and was told they had to check the file and call me back. 2 weeks later still no phone call. This is the worst place ever and they over charge people for all services. They dont call back. They lost my father.
Very wonderful place for my great grandparents that are buried there. Wonderful staff an they maintain everything there
I go here to visit my sweet boys. Grounds are kept very clean and the property is tended to with care. I always feel peaceful when visiting.
What time does this place close ?? I came at 7 pm and gates are closed but online says it’s open 24 hours
The people working there were very nice but seemed to be a little forgetful on some details. We had asked for a short prayer before my loved one was put in the crypt. No one was there. A friend ran over, and a sales manager was kind enough to lead our small group in prayer.A few other small things happened but were no big deal to be corrected. Be sure to keep your paperwork and read the contract, or have someone you trust read it, as details are hard when you are grieving. They were respectful of our finances and were polite. The facility itself is kept clean and in good repair.I would recommend this place.
My grand parents rest here. Shout out 2 Ryan the lawn courtier. This place always grounds me. Beautiful staff and quality service.
On Easter I visited my parents grave, I noticed the grounds were overgrown and very unkept. I understand the rains might have kept maintenance but at least make the property look clean. Today I visited my parents gravesite and the flowers I placed on Easter were still there and of course dead. Really? This is unacceptable and disrespectful to the families. If your company is having financial stress, you owe to the families to let them know so they can keep their loved ones place of rest cleaned and in a respectful presentation.
Our family had a very strange issue where our deceased, cremated grandmother wasnt interred until years after she died. Grampa made arrangements many years ago to have both of their remains interred at the cemetery. Years later, we contacted John Smith at Sunset Lawn and he researched and fully took care of having both grandparents interred simultaneously (grandpas remains stored until we approached for finalizing internment for both grandparents).John arranged for us to have a lovely graveside family memorial service with a canopy set up to protect from the sun, chairs for family members and a nice table where both grandparents urns rested while we conducted the service. Lovely 2018 summer morning for our entire family as we remembered together and said goodbye to our remarkable grandparents. Lovely, well-maintained funeral home and cemetery is a great spot for family members to return and remember Mimi and Grampa :)John and the Sunset staff went above and beyond to ensure all went well. Yes, Grampa previously paid for for the service--but it was more than a decade ago and Sunset Lawn fully honored the agreement they made. Perfect service. Thank you again for your kindness and professionalism.
On Memorial Day I went to visit my great grandfather and my grandfather and neither of them had a flag or cross on their grave. I went to complain at the office and they was a line of people that were very dissipated with the service that has happened. All they said was to grab a cross and flag from the box they set outside and they wont FORGET. But the same thing happened last year and the year before that. I dont know what goes thru their mind when they just dont add them on the graves.
SIKHS PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. Their business practices are unethical and they will not care for your loved ones cremation. THEY DO NOT RESPECT THE SIKH CULTURE OR PRACTICES. Avoid further heartache and choose the chapel associated with the Temple.
Great customer service.
