Employees are wonderful & so helpful. Its auctions are online and anyone can bid. Great variety of items. Definately recommend it.
Simply the best and most reasonable AUCTION company of all. These guys speaks to all customers with so much respect and they deal with every situation on behave of all customers. Its always my pleasure dealing with bar none on the phone or in person. They are helpful in every way
Horrible experience. Bought 2 vehicles. Purchased warranty for $75. Had to pay $100. Restocking fee. Returned both vehicles because transmission was bad on both cars. Feel Bar None she tell buyer if vehicle has mechanical issues.
I dont know why maybe its covid-19 but the prices are way too high. You cant tell if a vehicle works or doesnt work. Thank God I bought a warranty two blocks down the road I couldnt go over 40 miles an hour. It costed me $350 to return the truck I paid over 9,000 for. Whatever you do by the warranty even if it is for 2 days
Very upset with this place, I had called in the morning and a guy told me that as long as I made it to the office before 5pm that I would be able to pick up the items. I made it to the office at 4:40pm and they didnt let us go into the yard, I was only able to pay my invoice. I asked to speak to a manager and the lady helping me looked across the room and said yeah she said no No manager came to speak with me. They said the yard closes at 4:30pm had I known that I wouldnt have drove there from Modesto.
Bought a fridge from this auction. got it home and it didnt work. they told me that it was broken and that one of there big contracts sends this stuff over sometimes but they misrepresented it in the auction catolog. do not buy from these guys. when i asked if i could bring it back they refused. when i asked if they would book in an upcoming auction they refused. told me that its buyer beware. well ok but when you misrepresent it in the catalog thats more like fraud.
This is a great auction, you can always buy something at a low price. You can do an inspection.
Best place to buy cars, trucks and various equipment. 4 cars have been bought here for amazing pricing. You can purchase online and watch and here auctions live during the monthly events. Need a car cheap try here. Want to save tons of cash on a SUV? Try here. Dont go to a car lot if you can go to one of the 3 different locations.
Boy, its fun to see the equipment and to test it before the auction! Employees are great and friendly! The place is very clean and professional. Pleasure to be there!
Stay away from these people its more of rip of car dealer then auction place. 900 plus extra for 2400 dollar car totaling 3300 plus. Different fees added for nothing . Total rip off .
Unfortunately, I’m not given the option to give no stars at all. They are extremely rude and just don’t treat anything with care. The way they slam things around while loading them just shows me that nothing is treated with care when it’s moved. This is the third time we have purchased things from this auction house. All three of our experiences were the same. They are actually breaking the things you just purchased right in front of you. I guess because you have no recourse and items are sold as is they don’t feel the need to treat anything with the respect and care it deserves. I will not be buying anything else here and I suggest you don’t either. Unless of course you don’t mind buying something that has been treated like garbage the entire time.
Everything you’ll ever need for any kind of developmental/construction/physical-manual labor company period. Or if you’re just getting started this is a great place to buy your first work/business vehicle to test the waters and see if that venture is for you. Since the corona virus, however, all bi-weekly auctions are held exclusively online; something that vastly decreases the chance that the work vehicle/ materials you’ve had your eyes on will be sold to you for that bargain price point you were hoping for. Wa wa wa
This place is a scam. They sold me an rv without any legal paperwork done. We are left to chase down and do everything at this point with a $13K purchase that is useless. We are now seeking legal help, do not trust them for anything, THEY WILL screw your. No surprise they have a terrible rating.
They had some young guy operating a forklift today and loaded a pallet of wood into the back of my $100,000 truck and instead the guy runs his forklift through my tailgate and somehow manages to scratch my door in the process. They told me they aren’t liable in their terms and conditions to buying from them.
Prices seem to get high, however great experience. In and out smooth transaction.
They shill bid in an attempt to raise the price. If they dont like where the price is, they bid it up and keep it for the next sale. Just watch on heavy equipment like excavators. You will see the exact same piece of equipment for sale the next month.
Ive been dealing with Bar None Auction for the majority of the past 10 years, have been on both the buying and selling ends of the business, and have been very satisfied with the outcome of both sides. The office and yard staff at the Sacramento location have always been helpful, fair, and understanding. Communication is key, and Kristin Sandoval has always gone above and beyond what her job or position requires, which is very much appreciated. The yard manager, Donny, has always been extremely helpful directing the loading and unloading of my equipment in the yard, with precision and care. I will continue to consistently do business with them.
Always have a big selection of needed supplies and equipment.
DO NOT BUY HERE, sold me a truck with no smog even though I was charged for one, AGAINST THE LAW to do so in a public auction. After I notified them I was banned from bidding again. FRAUD !
Just as bad a place to unload as Ritchie Bros Auction
I boughts a skid steer online from them. When I got it home it had no power. I saw it had a engine code light one. So I looked it up and I found a broken wires at the dpf filter. They knew it had a code and didnt show it online. I will not buy anything from them again.
Was looking for a 4x4, had a bunch of them marked, I bid on one and win, and find out its a misprint in their magazine, had to pay the $400 restocking fee or relist it in their action f that. On a second occasion I won a pallet of misc screws etc, turns out all the boxes were opened with about half the screws. I tried the online bidding and thought I won a expedition for $1500, but suddenly the lot was skipped, nobody was bidding but me and one other guy, the price didnt go high enough, I called and they said it was a mechanical - bull - they dont start the bidding until the car is in front of the people, so yea it looks like they have minimum prices. I did win a yamaha quad there, its still running, the trucks are shihht find a better auction. Im going to Richie bros from now on!
6 months ago, I bought a forklift that was supposed to be operational, was bidding online and won it. Upon arrival I determine that it was not operational and would take a lot of money to fix. As I went to address the condition of the forklift a girl at the front told me that all sales were final and there was nothing they could do and I had to pay for the item regardless of condition. Two months ago I decided to give them another chance because there was two vehicles i was interested in. This time i went to make sure the started and run. Bid on the two vehicles won one and the other I lost was not willing to pay the price. Went to get the vehicle drove it for 50 miles and it die on me. I had to tow it back to Fresno because they refuse to take it back. As far as the second vehicle Dodge 2500 Diesel truck i saw on the last months action and me been the under bidder did not even get a call to see if I wanted it which i would for the last bid i did at the time. Make me question why would they not award the under bidder if a buyer backs out. I WILL NOT BUY FROM HERE AGAIN.
I was hoping that the reports of this company bidding were false, however, I now believe them. Multiple vehicles I bidded on, and was subsequently outbid on, showed up the following month. This wasn’t one vehicle but 10+. Further, these were unique vehicles like a f150 king ranch in red and a 2005 explorer sport track. I firmly believe it likely that they bid on their own products. There is the chance that multiple buyers didn’t pay, however, I find it unlikely. I’d bid here again but wouldn’t get my hopes up for a cheap find, as all vehicles tended to run up in cost.
Bought a couple cars here in the past and no real problems. I tried online bidding a couple months ago and I was winning on a truck. In was present at the auction as well. No one bidded on the truck at the auction so I assumed I won online. While waitng for the page to reload I see the lot was passed!. Then I seen the same truck on the next months auction. I called and asked why would the truck be passed and they told me that the seller pulled it from the auction at the last minute. I heard the auctioneer say for the online bidder which was me. I never received any call back or the car truck. I have seen many cars the last months return on the next months auction. And some of these cars were sold. Makes me wonder who is bidding.
Can you tell me why your site kicked me off the morning of auction. i had the high bid all week and now you wont let me in.
SCAMMERS! No Professionalism at all. I have attended many auctions over the years but this was my first time at Bar None Auctions on Power Inn Road in Sacramento.I previewed the items I intended to purchase including a couple of trucks and a trailer. On auction day, I followed the auction, waiting for my items. The auctioneer was a complete jerk, publicly berating his assistants over the loudspeaker during live bidding. He even went so far as to throw out super high numbers during bid increases (25,000 instead of 5,000) and then stopped to say- Well, you never know unless you try and then went back to honest bids. I finally bought a trailer, confirmed my registered bidder number verbally and by holding up my bold printed card.In the vehicle bidding ring, a different auctioneer was so incredibly unclear, I could not follow the bids at all. Obviously designed to confuse people. Most of his jabber was complete gibberish to the point I decided not to bid at all. When I went to the office to pay, they informed me they transposed a number on my purchased item and needed to listen to the auction tape before releasing it to me. Three days later and after numerous calls to them which they promised to return but never did, they relented and let me pay and take my trailer. They refused any concession on the 15% buyers premium for my trouble. In the end, more trouble than it was worth. My advice to you is; buy retail anywhere else. This scam operation does not deserve your patronage.
Best auction company ever without any doubt
This place is a fraud I was biding online I was check VIN number On carfax . And online too a lot of them have a damage reported or salvage title but online they have a clean title (craigslist) I am assuming that up against the law one of the truck was interesting on it and I checked it they had it from another Action in Oregon for 2000 and they were selling it for 25k I get it but Price are too high plus it was a salvage title according to Carfax “Liars.”
Wow interesting reviews.....Last month was my first time going to this auction. A few things to watch out for and what I have noticed so far. I went to one of the view days looked at equipment took photos and even started some of them. Went home looked up current value of the equipment and did some research. However after reading these reviews I see a few same problems.#1. On the skid steers The auctioneer does not even start with the internet price he goes straight for 10,000 or more. Soooo why do people bid online?#2. I have now noticed this next month auction has two of the same equipment up again for bids. one is a skid steer and the other is a ford backhoe. I personally watched the high bidder win each item in last months auction. Interesting......#3. I also have found that a few other smaller items that I personally watched got sold to the highest bidder is back in the next month auction.
I was also a victim of this company. I won a used welder, got home, and found that it didnt work and that it was missing several key parts! While their online bidding is convenient, they take advantage of bidders by putting junk up for auction. Stay far away!
This place is the worst, if youre selling a item They will make more money than you do and not only did the item sell for next to nothing, it takes a month for them to give the Pennys you made.. $3,500 in material s & I ended up with $500, I should have sold it on Craigs list... DONT USE THIS PLACE TO SELL YOUR STUFF...
Sold me a $4,000 truck that needs $3,000 in repairs and cost me $500 to tow home. Shady business not open on the weekend to return after buying the contract cancellation option and everything. Will not be back, save your money and go somewhere else.
They seemed like a nice bunch of people. Made a delivery of equipment to be auctioned real friendly guys help me out offloaded as quick as could be expected and thats about it
I haven’t bought anything personally but a family member has bought items that didn’t work as they said they would but I’m not here for that I’m just here to give a fair warning about shady practices I’ve observed from going to this auction the past few months.First, I was interested in a car in December that ended up going for several thousand more than it was worth. I accepted that and was shocked but got over it until I saw this car in their next two auctions and all three times the car was sold to a buyer which is extremely odd and shady. Every month around 1/3 of their inventory from what I’ve seen is cars from the previous month that are sold every time which makes it seem like they are running their own prices up and selling to themselves or people are returning these cars because they do not work. Onto that next though.Last month there was a BMW Z4 I was somewhat interested in but when I showed up at 8:10 the car and several other of their best cars for that day were already in the lineup to be auctioned so nobody could check these cars out. I’m standing next to this Z4 checking out the body when a worker on a cart drives by and the other employee driving the Z4 says “The window doesn’t work”. The employee in the cart says “It doesn’t matter don’t worry about it” in the most obnoxious and careless way possible. They stated nowhere on the listing for the Z4 that the window didn’t work and not even that I care but the fact they don’t care whatsoever about stating problems and line these cars up so early so people cannot check them out unless they come hours or days early is pretty bad. And that same day 4/5 of the cars I was interested in had dead batteries which I feel was a way to mask further problems in the vehicles. Overall careless and unprofessional place but it is what it is.
People have mentioned shield bidding and it is True. Items come up for sale again and again even though somebody “won” them. There is only appearance of an auction. Do not forget the fees they charge.
I think this place drives up the “bids” you would think you’re trying to get a good deal at an auction however... idk about this place I think they may drive up bids.
I had the winning bid on an item and then when I went to go pay for it they said that they had decided not to sell it to me. Even though there was no reserve bid price set on it.
Pleasure to deal with and good customer service. Jason at Bar None is very helpful and awesome to deal with!
125 days no titles no nothing...I cant get them to mail me the title, these people are incompetent and the inventory is junk!! I can not get 1 of these cars pass smog!!. Not worth your time to go there.Just crooks and liars from managers to administrates If you see a good review it was not a real customer!!
They give time to check the stuff but you definitely have to know what you are doing.I learned something new recently about government cars!.. Not their fault and good way to movecars without the hassle and other people wasting your time on other websites around the Sacramento area. Might try them out to sell one soon.
Bought two cars here, no problems with either one. Have to have some common sense when buying at an auction.
Seem to have company bidding Plant within auaudience. After watching this plant for several months, the auctioneers always looked to this guy if they werent getting close to the amount this plant had on his list for that car. Then... next months auction, they try auctioning same car again for the price they again think the auctioneers should get. Rather than selling less than Bar Nones desired price theyve originally set. Was obvious what was going on after seeing this Plant 2-3 months in a row. Especially, while being inconspicuously careful viewing his hand written Minimum bid prices on his clip board list of each vehicle. Bidder Beware!
I bought a couple used Mustang skid steers, a welding kit and an excavator about 4 years ago. So far Ive only had to replace the strap on the welding mask and add oil to the skid steers and excavator. Considering the price I paid, the amount I made from gigs, and the amount that I use them loaders, Id say I made out quite well.
Bought a Seadoo they auctioned it seperate from the trailer. I don’t like that they did it that way as it was just an effort to squeeze a few extra bucks but whatever. I asked if someone comes for the trailer before I can get the seadoo that they set it on something. The manager told me if they get the trailer before I come the seadoo will go on the ground. I told them while it’s in their care they have to do due diligence to protect it. They said I need to do my due diligence to get there as fast as I can and they are not responsible for damage. I left a message with their headquarters and am waiting for a reply. An example of how they are treating about your equipment buying or auctioning.
I won a tractor. It was not labeled as non-running. When they called me for payment I asked if the tractor runs. I was told yes. Therefore, I paid the invoice. When I went to pick it up, it turns-out, the tractor does not run. They tell me I have no recourse but they will re-auction it for me.It is now in dispute resolution with the credit card company.AVOID BAR NONE!
As a buyer Bar None has always gotten us great deals. As a seller it helps us move slow moving products FAST! Thanks to the whole Bar None Crew!
I purchased some tools recently then got sent to work unexpectedly before i could pick up my stuff and the portland facility offered to keep the tools for a few weeks without storage fee until i could pick them up. I was alittle skeptical from all these bad reviews but what i will say is if your buying from an auction dont expect it to be like a discount car lot. You need to do your own inspection on anything. 8ve bought multiple rigs and its your fault if you buy bad stuff not theres
Bought 2 Husky compressors in one lot. They look like new. Once I got home and plugged them in. Dead. The motors were ran dry of oil and the engine was seized. Im guessing store returns? They should inform us about items that dont work. Instead the make them seem like new and jack up the bid with ghost bidding! Stay away from this auction or you will loose your money!
Incredible inventory.
Bought a truck online, went to go look at it before final payment. Extremely rude, tried to not let me look at it. Paid for it. Latter they scammed me for another $400, calling later saying they forgot to charge me. Won the truck for $4250, walked away paying $5250 plus the $400. Not worth it. Saw another guy buy a truck with dead batteries, he bought batteries and started it and engine was totally blown.
Thieves..horrible service they will screw you,and say o well dont come back. Call Bsand complain
Yeah, this place should be shutdown! theyre constantly trying to resell a leBaron Convertible that has NO BRAKES, IM NOT STUPID WOMAN!! NO BRAKES, it also HAS PISTON SLAP BEWARE, luckily my temper stayed low to force a refund before i wouldve called the COPS
They sold me a stump grinder on line for 3250.00 it cost 4000.00 when I went and picked it up. When I got it home it didnt run. They have also tried charging my credit card fraudulently without my permission twice for 400.00 since that auction. I have not bid on any item or given consent to charge my credit card. Im considering calling police and filing charges against this auction house.
I was internet bidding on a boom lift they sold the first one for 17k choice. The next one came up with 9K start bidding when i selected bid it jumped to 17K and said I won. Could have been clerk was trying to update it but was not the price I bid. Called to no avail. Disappointing
The products are good, but the customer service sucks!!
Sky high fees
Got duped by a car that ran but had serious problems. Total waste of time and money.
Yep - still a crooked place! Buy Richie Bros. or Iron Planet before spending a dime here.
Good auction
Place is full of rookie bidders driving the prices up. If you are looking to pay under blue book do not go here.
This place is a joke for loading apparently there is no rhyme or reason for order to load wait 1 hr and the last truck in the yard gets to load first would recommend shopping at any other auction than this very piss poor yard crew
Horrible people rude and stupid.
Do not trust your equipment with these people.
AAA+++++
Like any auction house, reliable, recommended, excellent attention
Excellent
