**Updated review**I have stopped going here because my dip gel manicure continued to have chipping, lifting, and breakage after only a week. While they do offer to fix any issues, I simply do not have time to come in that often. I have had great results for the past few months at another salon.*Original review*I have been going here for several months now and I really like it (4 stars instead of 5 because I am not familiar with their other services such as pedicures, waxing, etc.). I see Phung for dip gel nails (have also had traditional gel nails) and she does a wonderful job. She is attentive to detail, will help with color selection based on skin tone, and holds genuine conversation. It is a busy location so I get there right when they open or make an appointment. Tip is accepted by cash only!
Always a great experience! Love working w Vy or Phan...and another woman who I cant remember the name of unfortunately. Ive never had a bad experience there though and everyone seems to do a good job
I usually go to this place to do my nails. Maybe not fanciest, but they are clean and professional. They also give advice on what color works for the occasion and tips on how to take care of my nails for polish to last longer. Its been couple of years and I always had a great experience.
This is my first time coming to this nail salon! Im a visitor and wanted to go some place close and picked this salon based on past reviews. Im very glad I did. Possibly the best experience Ive had at a salon. Friendly staff, relaxing and my hands and feel look perfect. Definitely come back here and recommend it to my friends
I love my Kim and Tina! Ive been with Mirage nails for 10 or years.
Absolutely love this place! Both times Ive stopped by last notice and they are so sweet to take me in! Definitely the most perfect set of gels I think Ive ever received. Super affordable. However, youll leave with glam nails at an incredible price and thats what matters.
Besy is great. I moved out of the area several months ago, but I continue to drive an hour to Mirage because they are the only ones I’ve found who does a good job on pink and white powder (and I’ve tried many salons). I’ve been going to Mirage for about five years now. I appreciate the good work with my nails and the good conversation.
Holly is fantastic! I love how detailed she is. I always leave feeling like she gave me her best work and my gel mani lasts for a long time, each time.
Clean & professional. Doesn’t have an overwhelming acetone/nail polish smell when you walk in. Did a great job and were very friendly. Will definitely come back. Reasonably priced—I got a gel manicure and it was $37.
They are taking the safety of their clients and employees seriously while maintaining friendly customer service.
I am giving this place one star because it wont let me leave zero stars or negative stars. If you just walked in and you are reading this while you are waiting then leave. Run, dont walk. We made an appointment for my daughter for a dip and were told she could be taken in about 15 minutes. We walked in right on time and we waited an hour before she was taken in, even though they were not very busy. The person doing her nails was rude to her. I asked when we booked it how much it would cost and was told $45, when it came time to pay we were charged more, although I was never told there would be an increase in price. I was asked to pay before she was done because they said they had to close out the register. 20 minutes later the same person said the same thing to someone else - in other words they werent closing anything out. Between the rudeness of the person who serviced my daughter, the long wait, and the bump in price we will never return here. There are so many nail places, there is one around the corner from this place on Old Georgetown Road, you would think they would try to keep customers, but they just dont seem to care.
Almost forgot to post this. I came in here to get my eyebrows done quickly in the morning. I was told it was a 45 minute wait and I had to pay now.I said I will not pay for a service not completed and wait 45 minutes for no eyebrows when you just opened!
I had an appointment with Kim for the first time. I asked her to cut my nails square. She took so much of my cuticles that three of my fingers started bleeding. I told her that I was in pain and she told me to go wash my hands and it will be okay. Seriously? The second time she did the same thing on my feet. She never apologized. I will never ever go to her again. She is rude and very unprofessional. Funny they dont understand English when it suits them. Bad bad bad service.
I wonder why all one star reviews were written for “a wrong location”. Wish the management took responsibility for their poor service.80% of visits end up in waiting and then leaving without service. This place has no respect for their customers’ time. I’ve been told to wait 5 min, and ended up waiting 30. I wish somebody could provide a competition.
The Worst Nail Salon in Montgomery County. Do not waste your time, energy, or money on these crooks. The customer service is horrible and their ability to do nail artistry sucks. Giving them a negative 10 stars wouldn’t even suffice to their service. Close them down!
Horrible.....DO NOT GO HERE! They use to be go be good, lately not so much. I went today and there was a lady that either did not know what she was doing or did not want to do my pedicure. She kept wanting me to come back the next day, which is crazy because why would I come back if I didnt like the way you cut my nails, she kept asking the other lady what to do....waste of money....
Living right upstairs from this place was great. The people there are amazing and they knew my whole family as we were regulars.
If you call ahead and ask for availability they tell you to come. Once you get there you realize there is no one available and they make you wait and “pick out a color”. Many nail techs have left and gone elsewhere because of their management. Great building, horrible service.
I keep on coming back to this place because it is closer but I forget that they have the rudest receptionist, half of the girls dont know what they are doing and they keep on laughing at the customers with the excuse they think people will not understand what they say. Today even the towels smell like they havent been washed in years. Dirt all over. The owner should read all these negative reviews and do something! The other Mirage salon over McDonalds shopping center is at least cleaner and the ladies are more experienced.
Always go here. Great pedicures and waxing. I recommend Lynn and highly recommend Natalie! Theyve never let me down.
Went in without an appointment to get a fill in, as I was waiting 10 mins since entering the salon I went ahead and asked the lady how long the wait would be, she said 40 mins. The guest that came after me did not have an appointment when I returned after 35 mins I noticed she got serviced right away. Hate to think of it this way but I think it had to do with race. I noticed bad treatment continuously for black clients.
I cant speak for all the rest of the nail techs--because I only see Bessy, and shes amazing. She takes her time, isnt rushed and has great attention to detail. She does an excellent massage as well. I will ALWAYS come back for her. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the manager refuses to allow you to tip with your card...and I NEVER carry cash. That is really annoying, to inconvenience your customers that way. We have to pay ATM fees to take out cash to tip-- so YOU can save a buck. Smh.
DO NOT PATRONIZE this PLACE! (Especially if you’re a minority) Extremely RACIST and lack of customer service! So I came in about a hour or so before closing, the receptionist told me there was a long wait. I asked how long, she told me 20 minutes, I replied no problem. I then grabbed the basket of gel color samples and sat down on the bench. I was seated for about 10 minutes before a lady came from the back who did not have on black like the rest of the staff, so I’m guessing she was an owner/manager. She was seated at the front station and I was directed to her. When I greeted her as I sat down, she looked at me with a disgusted unpleasant greeting. She looked at my nails put my hand down and began chatting to the receptionist in their language. I told her that I just need a fill, I’m going out of town tomorrow for work. I had two nails popped off from a previous set. One of my nails broke half of my real nail down. She implied that it was a fungus. Clearly she has no nail expertise because you can tell that it came from a bad broken nail, there is no discoloration. So that’s offense number one. Next, she begins taking my gel polish off and starts adding all these numbers and telling me a price. She insisted that my nails were long (in which they’re not) and I was to be charged or I can cut them down (and still be charged) = BAD BUSINESS. After she quoted the price, I told her okay. I then had a FaceTime call from one of my stylist. I conversed with him for about 3 minutes before she stated that I need headphones. Mind you, the nail salon is packed, the music is blaring and no other customer is paying me any attention. I could not even hear my stylist bc the background was so loud. I told her I did not have headphones and she continued to remove my previous color and prepare my nails for a fill. While the woman is removing the lifting corners of acrylic with a plier nail cutter, the pieces are flying in my face. She has no remorse or concern. The first one hit my face, I moved to the side, the second one almost went in my eye and I jumped. She didn’t apologize or say sorry or even attempt to block them. By this point, it’s clear that this woman does not like women of my race bc I have not done anything for her rudeness to be personal. The last straw was when a customer (of european decent) walked in and sat the station across me, she began to get her nails done. Meanwhile, the lady doing my nails says something to the receptionist. The receptionist comes over to me and tells me she is leaving early and I need to pay before my services! THAT WAS the LAST straw! They did not inform the other customers, therefore I was scrutinized & profiled. Unbeknownst to them, I have over 2000 dollars in cash as change in my purse & I’m a penthouse resident of the Pallas which is adjacent to the building the nail salon is under. It’s unfortunate that I had to experience such treatment from a group of people who they themselves are an actual MINORITY as well.Do not patronize this place. I will make sure that it is known to the public the type of people that operate this business! The lack of simple customer service is utterly disgusting to say the least.IF I COULD RATE THIS PLACE WITH NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD! And I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
Nam is great! The salon is nice. They need to freshen up the ottoman that is there.
I just got a gel french manicure, paid $44, and the white part on some nails go all the way down to the middle of my nail! Some of the white strips are so short, they dont even cover the entire tip of my nail. Looks unprofessional. I am really upset though, I had faith in this salon as my mom goes here for her mani and pedis and loves them.
Fist time customer I called and made and appointment for Gel. I waited over 45mins and I left the Salon because I got tried of Waited around for someone to take me.. Dirty salon and no one really greeted me at the door I won’t be back I should of read the reviews before I came
I had many pedicures in my life; about 6 in a year for the past 18 yars and the one I had there was one of the best if not the best I ever had. The manucurist treated my toe nails as if there were cleaning precious jewels.
Great place if you want to have a quick walk-in.
I made an appointment in advance and had to wait 45 minutes for someone to start working on my pedicure. I will not be coming back
Did a partial pedicure. Seems like they were trying to rush US up out of there but didn’t mind taking my money.
Over priced with lacking quality. My main issue was with the owner. I vividly saw him mistreat two black customers. The police came to resolve whatever incident arose and even said he made multiple racial references. I will not go back and support!
Dont go to this place, my nails look horrible.
Had an appointment and after waiting 20 mins they told me that I had to wait an additional 15 because other people came in without an appointment.
I called for am appointment and rushed me out and then when I got there they told me I needed to make an appointment for my nails but I called for an appointment for my nails and told me I had to wait......this is not customer service
Tina is the epitome of professionalism...
Excellent job
They insulted an elder woman!!!
Horrible service and rushed
Dont go here
Fantastic!!!
