I really like this salon. Ive been going here for 3 years and have never had an issue. Theyre always very friendly and when I make an appointment, I get seen with very minimal wait time (if at all). My go-to is Nam - he does a good job. The salons color selection is pretty decent. My nails grow very long and healthy when I come here, in comparison to other salons Ive visited that have damaged my nails. No complaints thus far!

Earlier today at about 6 pm was the first time I felt safe enough to have a professional pedicure since the pandemic. I entered the nail boutique and was immediately greeted with a smile. The customer service was outstanding; however, my nail technician professional, Tam (I believe her name is) was SUPERB!!!! She catered to me as if I was the only one there and her foot massage practically put me to sleep. I hope she doesnt mind I took this picture. She Rocks!!!!!!!!! 4/16/2021

Tien was super friendly and paid extreme attention to detail! I went in for a refill and showed her a picture of the style i was looking for. She was so sweet and went to get her materials quickly. She did an amazing job matching the photo and trying to meet my requests! The salon was clean and everyone was wearing a mask properly. I do recommend making an appointment in advance vs walking in if you want to save yourself some time!

I have been exclusively coming to Mirage Nails for all of my pampering needs since 2014. I get my SNS manicures, regular pedicures, and waxing done and am always satisfied with the results. They also take wonderful care of all my family and friends.Everyone is so kind, friendly and gentle, and responsive to any feedback or special requests (eg nail shape, crystal nail art, scrub, etc.). Super grateful for the quality of service.They usually run on time in my experience, but I also book appointments or walk in on my more relaxing days/afternoons (where I don’t have to rush to an event or anything). That being said, they will do the best they can to accommodate you and your schedule and share realistic updates if they’re running behind which I really appreciate.Mirage has very competitive prices and I would rather pay a bit more for good quality than go somewhere cheaper but with not as great sanitation/quality/service.

I went here today out of sheer convenience since it’s walking distance from my home. I only went in for a basic French pedicure. I was seated right away but the nail technician was subpar at best. She never applied any cuticle oil softener before she started chopping away at my cuticles. She also never cleaned under my toenails until I instructed her to do so. The lines for the white French tips were uneven. I’ll never be back.

I had high hopes for this place, but was unfortunately so disappointed. I wanted to find a place I could be a regular at. I made an appointment and they did not honor it at all. Dont bother making an appointment, as they just take walk ins. Literally 3 people walked in after me and they all got seen right away. I made an appointment 1.5 hours before they closed, and even got off work early so that the person doing them wouldnt need to rush. Since they had me wait, the woman who ended up doing my nails and I were the very last ones in the salon come closing time. They seem to treat their regulars very nice (so thats a plus) but definitely dont know how to treat potential regular customers.Second, I asked the woman doing my nails that I wanted almond-shaped. I showed her a photo, but they still ended up being mountain-peak shaped. She kept telling me they were almond, until I showed her the photo of the mountain-peak nails. Fortunately she was able to fix them, but still charged me $3 extra for fixing what she didnt do correctly in the first place! Made me uncomfortable to speak up about my nails, because then she and another colleague were speaking very quickly in another language and seemed angry as they talked about my nails.In the end, I was satisfied with my nails but the whole experience from start to finish was not worth it. The woman was not very friendly and kind of rough on my hands. Some of the others seemed nicer but they had other clients. I wish I had done my research about who to ask for. A lot of the reviews seem to recommend people. But I would not go back personally.

I gave it two stars for low confidence. I’m worried to use this place because I see they get a lot of complaints and whoever is responding from the business looks like they don’t take any accountability at all. Every comment from the business to an unhappy customer is basically deflecting any sort of responsibility. Asking if the ppl work for a competitor salon or saying Ppl are “raining on their parade?” Unprofessional and weird . Not sure if I’m going to try this place or not.

They did a great great job!! They are amazing, kind, sweet hearted people. Family owned and everyone who works here is lovely. They can be a little slow at times, but worth being patient for.

So happy I walked in two weeks ago! Super friendly service, and excellent work. I waited until now to review so I could see if the nails lasted - and they did. Theyre prices are also reasonable and they dont try to get more money out of you! I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back :)

SNS from Helen was great. . Has lasted several weeks already. Pedicure was less than average. Lost polish off several Nails after the first few days. Appointment took a bit longer than expected. Will be going back soon to try it again.

I came here on recommendation of a coworker to get my gels removed after my wedding and get a regular manicure. The woman who did mine was very brusque, and also removed them in a way youre *not supposed to.* She peeled the gels off, and then scraped off what wouldnt peel using a metal tool. Since that had been my first gel manicure, I didnt know any better about what she was doing. I trusted the salon as a professional to take proper care of my hands. Instead, she damaged my nails *so severely* that it has been six months and Im STILL dealing with peeling, chipping natural nails that I have never had in my entire life. Im so beyond disappointed with this experience. I do not recommend trusting this salon with gels or any kind of specialty nails.

They did a very fine job....actually one of the best nail fill, polish and shape ive had, and Ive been to alot of salons in the area. I to am surprised by the bad reviews. Its clean, everyone is pleasant and nice. Everything was fine. I agree with one of the other comments, they are straight forward, which Im fine with and perhaps that is interrupted as rudeness, I don;t know. but yes I had a fine experience!

They spent lots of time on my manicure and pedicure. They were also extremely nice and made me, the only guy in the salon, feel very welcome. Wonderful nail salon! They had a wide variety of colors for gels which was very nice and everyone there was so nice and accommodating .

I read all the reviews before going in and Im honestly surprised by the bad reviews. I have been to many salons across the US and this salon was great service I think most are mistaking them being straight to the point for rudeness. Most places when you walk in they are straight to the point. They gal that did my nails was great she was really sweet we didn’t talk a lot but we laughed about a few things she fixed problems from my previous nail fill at a different salon and actually took her time which is rare in most nail salons. They had their cosmetology license very visible to my surprise and I loved that it was very clean and a good price. Don’t knock it till you try it. ❤️❤️

I’ve been going to Melti to get my nails done for years now. I always leave there EXTREMELY happy with my nails. Great service and i’ve gotten to know most of the employees! The only thing i would change is the upcharges, I wish it didn’t cost extra for shape/length/etc. I will continue to go here until I go away for college, and go back when i move back home!

I was visiting from upstate New York and when I arrived my nails were a mess. When I left they were practically perfect… And I am very picky about my nails. This is definitely where I’ll be getting my nails done when visiting Gaithersburg.

My husband and I were walk ins, and they got us in right away with no waiting. Kelly and Lisa did a great job and our time there was so relaxing. We enjoyed the whole experience.

The place is good. The only problem is that the owners dont allow you to include the tip on the credit card. So, the employees lose tons of money, because many people do use cash anymore.

Ive gone to this shop 6 or 7 times in the past several months for pedicures and gel manicures. The staff is always polite and accommodating, and the shop is always clean. The techs are very meticulous and take the time required to do the job well. I have absolutely no complaints.

No waiting, great manicure, follow COVID 19 protocol very seriously.

This will be my last visit. This place would get 2 stars for their services however this is the second time I have made an appointment and had to wait over 20 minutes to be seen. This time I specifically told them I wanted an appointment time that wouldn’t have a wait and I still had to wait. My past visits have been average and I only came again because I can walk here. I’ll drive somewhere else next time ... they have terrible time management, average service and the prices aren’t worth the aggravation. Not worth it - go somewhere else!

Worst nail place ever - I will NEVER go back and will tell my friends and family to do the same. The manager H is horribly rude, polish is the worst quality and they always lie about the wait time. I only went out of convenience, but NEVER again!!

The worse and very unsanitary. The technician did not say one word to me the entire tine I was getting the pedicure. I wanted tonleave in the middle of it. She would wipe sludge off the sink then go straight back to my feet. She did that several times.

Horrible service. We were clearly in line before a worker came up and the lady at the desk made eye contact and clearly saw me waiting in line. She ignored us completely and chatted with the worker. We went to get manicures but left because we weren’t helped (or even acknowledged). They’ve lost my business (forever) and I will tell my friends to go elsewhere.

This place is AWFUL. They are rude, wait times are terrible, they called my polish choice tacky, and they cut my sister and made her bleed. The last straw is that they would not honor a gift card that my mother bought. If I could, I would give them no stars. There are plenty of other nail places, definitely do NOT go to this one.The FULL story is this. My mom bought me a giftcard for my bday for a gel mani and pedi. I told her I don’t like this place and told her to go in my place. She did misplace the giftcard, she does however have the receipt. The rude nail person told her that it was too bad and did not even attempt to help my older, non-english speaking mother. They wouldn’t even check to see if the giftcard was used (bc surely they keep tally of giftcards issued). The receipt has the exact time and date of when she purchased it! These people are SO SHADY!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive been getting manicures every 2-3 weeks for the last 8 years, and Ive been to places all over the country - this is definitely in the bottom 5 of places Ive ever gone.Manicurist barely acknowledged me when I sat down. She didnt ask how long I wanted my nails to be, and before I noticed what she was doing, she had filed them WAY too short. Certainly not a world-ending problem, but extremely frustrating when it could have been addressed if she had just asked what I wanted. After I pointed out that they were too short, she left the other hand longer, which means my hands are totally lopsided. REALLY SLOW polish application, and my nails dont even look that great. I would definitely skip this place - bad customer service and a bad manicure. I wish I could get this hour and a half (really, it took that long!) back in my life!

I got my nails done by using gel nail polish on May 19, 2018. Then, by May 21,2018 they were cracked. So, I went back to the nail salon on May 22nd to speak to the manager. The manager accused me of banging my nails and cracking them all. She argued with me and kept on accusing me of destroying my nails. This is not a good place to go to. Their customer service is terrible, their professionalism is atrocious and they have no idea what customer service is all about. I would never, ever recommend anyone to this salon!!!!!!!!!!

Helen waxed off 1/4 of my left eyebrow and blamed it on me by saying that I always had eyebrows like that.The damage was done, nothing could be done to fix it and I totally understand that human errors occur, but at least have the decency to accept it. Rather than owning her mistake, she blamed it on me by saying this is how my eyebrows were when I came in...REALLY? You wanna say that I had one full and other 3/4 eyebrow since ever?? Wow!!She literally shouted at me by saying that she has 26 years of experience so there is no way she could make a mistake...Does 26 years of experience make you GOD?!!I wish I had checked their reviews for eyebrows (especially the ones mentioned about her) before trying them.She says she is the manager - then I must say that this place has a very rude and not at all customers friendly manager.I am extremely disappointed by her attitude and certainly will never go there again.

I love it here because it was my first time coming into this new mirage nail salon it was so beautiful and clean they had the best service ever i would love to come here all the time

Thought I found a new a new nail home but after my acrylic breaking in less than a week and being charged to fixed it plus accused of hitting someone to break it, I’ll pass. Poor attitudes in there as well.
