I purchased a gas log set for my fireplace from Cyprus and wanted to provide my experience. Overall the experience was okay. Most of the gas log displays in the showroom are inoperable and the sales rep kept trying to sell me the most expensive fireplace.The in-home sales rep was much better and catered products to my needs that were more affordable. However, when I decided to make the purchase, the website is difficult to browse for choices, with poor resolution images and no prices. I almost decided not to buy and find another company, but contacted the sales rep again, who sent me some brochures and videos of fireplaces.When I finally made the purchase, I asked the sales rep if the installation would look asthetically pleasing or if there were going to be exposed hardware, etc. He reassured me that there wouldnt be any exposed wires or anything tacky and that they would use lava rocks to cover up the hardware for a clean presentation.The installation and inspection occurred as scheduled, but the installation crew was sloppy at best. They cut the corner driving up my driveway and left a deep tire rut in my lawn. After they left, I found pieces of scrap material and trash left behind where they had been cutting pipe and prepping pieces. The gas log itself was installed correctly, but the presentation was not what the sales rep had promised. All the wires and starter hardware was exposed (see pic) and the lava rocks he mentioned were the size of pebbles and didnt cover anything up.Overall, the experience was okay. The fireplace works great and Im happy with it, but the communication didnt line up with the execution or the final presentation.

Hello, Wow just received an estimate for a natural gas fireplace. The sales rep did not know you can not charge sales tax on labor(this action bother me, and the sales guy response was I charge everyone 6 percent of the total bill). The sales rep did call his office to get the correct information on sales tax. I had no fireplace choices. Apparently they charge everyone a built in finance fee (this bothered me). It was not until I asked about any discounts if I pay cash? Then my bill went down 1500.00; other than that they wanted 5k to run an already existing gas line, 5k for install, 1.5k to do the frame work (sale rep said it maybe more, but since he quoted me 1.5k I was saving money)and then 5k for stove (about 16.5k). A bit high when the sales rep could not say if the fireplace would provide enough heat for a certain room. The sales rep kept telling me the BTUs. needless to say we have other companies coming out for estimates.

Cypress air is a top notch company. I wouldn’t even consider buying a Big Green Egg or a gas fireplace anywhere else. They take the time to talk and explain their products to their customers and provide a level of service that’s second to none. They also have a complete showroom of products that’s the best in the business. The level of service doesn’t just end when you purchase their product initially but they continue to earn your business long after you have been a customer. I recently needed a manufacturer’s warranty repair to a Big Green Egg that I purchased 10 years ago. They took care of me and got me what I needed right away. They really are an awesome company.

Im happy with the system that was installed. A couple of months after it was installed, I noticed that the duct work had not been sealed properly on the unit.The company sent the installer back to my home, and it was fixed.Id give them 5 stars, but I had to make two appointments to have them come out. They never sent anyone for the first appointment, and I had to call them (rather than they call me) to find out why.So, I had to wait two weeks to get the problem fixed.

I have a service contract with Cyrus air.I called 3 weeks in advance for a afternoon time slot for an appointment to service my fireplace.The tech showed up at 11:00 am while I was at work. I called the office and was told he could not come back.I canceled my service contract and I will go somewhere where for my service.The office representative could not care less about my appointmentI will not recommend this company.

Cyprus installed an expensive gas log set and ran the gas line around to the kitchen. After the initial painful install (multiple scheduling issues, inspector had to return 3 times while they fixed problems), the system ran fine for 1 season. Less than a year later, it failed. The service tech found the remote has gone bad and there’s *no way to turn on the system without it*. It’s now been more than a month with no heat while they order a replacement remote (!), their service manager has been MIA and no back up while on vacation, and meanwhile we’re still paying a monthly service “membership”. The company’s remedy seems to be that we should just wait patiently and freeze.

Not sure how others rated so highly... here are my facts:1. Purchased units at Rockville MD location on 12/4/2018... was told that they were backed-up so it could be as late as the 2nd week in February for the install.2. On 12/6/2018 scheduled site inspection/installation on 1/11/19.3. On 1/11/19, site inspection happened and a chimney clean was ordered.4. On 1/24/19, chimney visit happened... I call it a visit because they didnt clean... in and out in less than 5 minutes. $200 for looking up my chimney. I called and wrote Cyprus and they told me not to worry. So I ordered a chimney brush and vacuumed up more than 2 pounds of ash/soot. This is when I should have known that they were scammers.5. ~2/20/2019, the stories about the manufacturer not having the products started to flow in because I was continuing to ask about my 2nd week in February install. Over 20 documented calls and emails. I was told Due to a very busy season the manufacturer had a delay in production.6. On 3/1/2019, I started to call around to suppliers to see if the products were available and found out three things... 1. I really overpaid. 2. the products were readily available. 3. That the 2 products actually came from different manufacturers: Hearth & Home Technologies Inc and Hargrove Premium Products. I told Cyprus that the products were available and magically they said that the were now being shipped to them which would take a couple of weeks... more lies.7. On 3/20/2019, the installer shows up but states that he cant finish because of a scheduling problem and that his helper has to leave early.8. On 3/21/2019... more delays for Cyprus... they said that they must have my 3/20/2019 installer come back but hes not available until April.I forgot to mention that they started to charge me $80/month for a service agreement back in February. So needless to say I have to get the word out to help others avoid these painful experiences.Avoid... Avoid... Avoid...

Was very impressed with the showroom in Rockville. Great variety of fireplaces to choose. Brandon, who was the rep on site, was very helpful and recommended the best gas insert for our existing wood fireplace. Within a couple days the inspection took place. Cyprus handled all the required permits, etc. All staff were professional and knowledgeable. Within a month from my initial visit to the showroom, my gas fireplace was up and running. We loved having it all winter.

I want take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the superb service your technician (Vito) provided during his service call to repair our homes gas fireplace system. With the winter months approaching I wanted to test our fireplace to ensure it was ready for the season. When I did, I found the system inoperable. I asked for quotes from several service providers who gave me estimates of roughly $1K(+). Vito not only spent a considerable amount of time to diagnose and pinpoint the issue, but he also took great measures to find the most cost effective means of resolving the problem. Later he took the time to provide us needed advice and guidance to ensure the system keeps operating properly as well as the preventative measures to keep it in good standing. Vito made my family and I feel comfortable with his service, he is very personable and honest. The service and advice he offered made it clear we were dealing with a true professional.Additionally, the service contract offered by Cypress Air is one I found to be reasonable and were taking advantage of the offer. That said, its rare to find a service technician of Vitos caliber and the degree of professionalism Vito demonstrated definitely helped with that decision. Clearly, he is a valuable asset and a benefit to your company. After working with him we will be expanding the service contract to include our HVAC system. He went above and beyond with financing, explained EVERYTHING thoroughly and made sure I understood all details of what to expect, what Im getting, and above all, how much Im going to save.Originally my goal was to meet with different companies, receive and compare estimates, but it all stopped today. Amazing impression the first visit, and loving everything overall, I signed the contract on the spot. I was particularly pleased with the knowledge and consideration that theTechnician owned. The job was done so very well.Again, I had another young man that serviced my fireplace under my agreement and again saw him the following date to do the tuneup to my furnace.I found him as well, very knowledgeable, polite and considerate while working within my home. Excellent Service from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, references provided, and the price was right for our new energy efficient heat pump, air handler, and thermostat. It took less than a week from making our appointment, getting a quote, and having our new unit installed! Communication was perfect. The installers went above and beyond, they even corrected issues left from our previous service provider.

We recently had our fireplace serviced by Michael Jordan, a technician with Cypress Air, and we were very pleased with our experience. Mr. Jordan cleaned our fireplace and installed a new log set. He was meticulous as he worked and also with the clean-up process following installation. He took quite a bit of time to answer our questions and explained the steps as he worked We also signed a contract for future maintenance and repair, and we intend to request that Mr. Jordan perform these services.In conclusion, we felt we had a very positive service experience and would recommend Cypress Air to others.

Cyprus is professional, courteous, and punctual. The person they sent was friendly and answered all of my questions. They were my most expensive quote so I chose another company who is giving me the exact same boiler that I have for almost half the price I was quoted with Cyprus. Apart from that, they seem to be a good company with which to work.

Nice Technicians and Showroom Staff, but horrible follow through and customer service. It takes several appointments to install. Waited for 1st appointment, when no one showed-up, I called to find out that they were not coming after all but could come tomorrow. Second appointment was fine. Third appointment another disaster, waited past time window, called only to find out Technician was running late, given a new time, that passed too. Called again only to find out it would be later. I would not use this company again. Do not use if you value your time!

BEWARE LOOK ELSEWHERE...Very disappointed in this company. 1st off we were lied to by the sales man then when the technician came out to put in the new unit he showed up one one day for an hour and then left saying he needed to get the parts and would be back. Thats fine but never came back never got a phone call to say when he would be back I had to call the office who are very rude and unsure of how to do there job. So they installed the new unit. We also bought a service plan with them we were told the would come out twice a year by the salesman the office says we only get one a year. We have had out unit in for 2 years now and they have not came out to service it at all. We call to find out why and they book us an appointment for one day I get a phone call on the day of the appointment says they schedule the wrong tech to do the maintenance work on my ac unit says he dosent do that. So I say ok thats fine . They schedule a new day for the day before Thanksgiving between 1 and 5 pm so i sat here all day no show no call again. Had to call to find out why the technician didnt show up. The office says he was sick and went home early. Thats fine but I should have been notified. Office was rude again asked to speak to a supervisor was told she was on a call and would call me back still have not received a call. So please look ELSEWHERE when thinking about using this company.

Poor communication. I worked with two reps and both seemed to have fallen off the face of the earth. One stopped returning emails and the other that came to my house was supposed to check something and get back to me, and it’s been a week and I have heard nothing. I stressed that time was of the essence and i was ready to have the work done immediately with full payment. I’ve since found another company to complete all of my work, and for a much better price.

We were pleasantly surprised that when concerns / questions came up, the management staff immediately stepped-up and solved and answered all our questions. Service was for yearly fireplace inspection ... in preparation for the winter days ahead. Cyprus technician, Marcellus did an excellent job of cleaning and inspecting all parts of the fireplace to make sure everything was operational. When he completed his work, he cleaned up and left things as he found them. Would recommend Cyprus and Marcellus to others.

Im very disappointed with Cyprus Airs communication and service. The initial inspection/estimate went well, but they never followed up with me about final $ amount for the gas line install.When they came to run the line, they asked me if they could run the line slightly differently, but when I called the workman on site, he never responded. During the installation he removed things I originally installed myself, but never notified me. The workman had me sign paperwork after they finished, and Cyprus directly billed my card without even finalizing the previously negotiated amount with me for the gas line install.When it came to the Inspection day come to find out the line wasnt holding pressure and all rescheduling just fell apart. Now were left waiting for them to complete the job that they already billed me.Cyprus definitely didnt meet what they claim about being prompt or their quality of service.

Just swapped out our 15 yr+ Heat Pump for a new Lennox Unit installed by Cyprus Air Heating, Cooling, and Fireplaces. Plenty of advanced instruction on what to expect and how to prepare for the visit. Arrived on time, we left them to their devices, and 5 hours later our new unit is cooling our house. Even on this rainy day we had no tracks inside due to traps laid down and now that they are gone we have no trash left over as they swept and vacuumed. The three man team was polite, efficient, answered any questions we had, and made sure we know how to operate the system before they left. Id recommend them highly.

Darryl gave me a very comprehensive detail of the units (AC and furnace) that Im going to have including the remote-controlled thermostat. He told me everything there is to know about the whole deal that is, cost of the equipment, warranty, installation, etc. Every now and then Melvin re-affirmed the details of the whole process. Its hard to find honest service nowadays and Im glad I finally decided to try Cyprus air Heating, Cooling and Fireplaces. Kudos to both Darryl and Melvin for a job well done.

My experience with Cyrus Air Heating was horrible to say the least. I dont usually take the time to write a review, but then, I dont usually experience such bad service that I have to cancel an order. First, it took me 6 weeks to get the company to come to my house once I placed the order. Then they did not show at the scheduled time, but before our scheduled appointment. When I called to see what had happened, I was told that the person coming to my house had decided to come early, without checking to see if I would be available either by phone or by email. I was told that he could not return that day and that they were sorry I had taken the day off for the appointment, but the only other time they were free was in a week. I offered them other days when I could be free, but they were absolutely unwilling to work with my schedule, even when they were in the error. They acted like they were somehow doing me a favor rather than working for me. When I said I was unhappy with the service the staff member told me youre being ridiculous. When I spoke with the manager and said if they could not work with my schedule (I offered other times this week and the next week) that I was cancelling my order, they seemed not at all concerned to loose my business. I had ordered 2 fireplaces. I have never experienced such rude, unprofessional and inconsiderate behavior. I would definitely not recommend wasting your time with a company that thinks so little of their clients or the money their clients bring.

Logistical nightmare. I visited the showroom 2 weeks ago and made an appointment for home visit. The night before the scheduled visit, I called to make sure Cyprus was on schedule. Confirmed. Then received a text that Cyprus would be at my home in the morning 4-hour window. Took off work and waited. Received a call in the AM confirming that rep would be at my home by 12:30 pm. At 12:15 pm, I called and asked if tech was on way. Cyprus said No - need to reschedule. I was upset, explained I took day off from work, and asked if they could come in afternoon. Cyprus said theyd check and let me know. Its now 2:30 and no call back. Obviously they dont care about customer service.

Sales team sold us down thto river. Once they have your money, they would care less. It’s been 18 months and out unit STILL doesn’t work. Service techs have not showed up on multiple occasions. When they have a few times they did not have adequate information or supplies to fix my unit. Once they cane with broken product. We gave up and hired an outside guy who fixed our unit in 2 Hours.

Our repairman Dan went took time to explain the issues with our current ventless gas fireplace system, which ended up being not economical to repair, then he guided us through the selection process for a replacement vented system without pressuring us. Replacement was clean and painless and looks way better than the old system on and off. This was an unplanned expense, and Its hard to tell if we got a good deal or not but, it seemed like we did ok based on advertised pricing and discussion with Dan.

One star because, zero is not an option. I stopped in the Rockville showroom. I said hello to the person that was disinterested in seeing a customer. I explained what I was looking for and answered his questions, but he couldnt care less that I was ready to purchase a gas fireplace. I showed him a picture of what I wanted replaced, he looked at the picture but didnt offer any suggestions. He then pointed to the ones that were Cypress brand inserts with vents and when I went over to look he decided to come over and light one. He asked how it looked. He had no interest in trying to sell an insert, Id hate to have them install anything if this is the prevailing attitude.10/2 - thank you for the response, but, what went wrong is in my comment, lack of caring, lack of wanting to make a sale, that attitude reflects on the rest of your company, i wont hire you and have already hired someone else.

Terrific experience. We needed a new air conditioner, and Daniel walked us through what kind of system made sense for us, patiently answered my questions, and didn’t try to upsell. We signed with them on the spot.Booking the installation was easy, and there was under a week’s wait.The installers, Paris and John, were within the promised time window, despite the Caps parade traffic. They worked efficiently, didn’t mind me hovering to see that some elements of the installation were done to my satisfaction, and didn’t leave a trace.Within a few hours of them finishing the job, I had a follow up phone call from Cyprus to see if I was happy with the job.Needless to say, I can’t recommend them highly enough. HVAC equipment is a major expense, and the thoughtfulness, customer service and expertise shown by Cyprus should be the model for every HVAC company.

My 27 years old air conditioner was replaced by Cyprus Air Heating through Lowes. These guys, Quang and Hai were awesome, they came on time and replaced the whole entire system quicky and Im very satisfied with the quality of work. They answered all our questions. They removed the old system carefully and cleaned the area before putting a new system. I will definitely work with Cyprus Air Heating again.

This is a good company to work with for home projects. Overall I highly recommend. 2 small items, ensure you negotiate the price and timeframe. We had a bit of a miss but shantel fixed it. Again overall they are focused on cusmter service and doing it right!

Worst customer service and worst techs in the industry. Rick S showed ready to work and then started making up excuses why he wouldnt do the work. It was obvious he didnt want to work Saturday and appeared he had a hangover from his slurred speech and the way he was walking. He then stated he needed to rip out half the ceiling instead of a tiny hole. He ended up walking off the job after 30 minutes. The next crew came out and installed things wrong, faulty equipment, and failed the inspection on 4 categories. The next crew was sent out from 3-5pm and showed up at 9pm to fix it. I had a 3 month yr old and 3yrd old in bed, but with all the banging on pipes and noise for the next hour, it was a disaster. Finally he fixed all the shotty work and broken materials the last crew used. Finally passed inspection and through every step of the process, Shantae was rude, upsetting, and kept telling me I was wrong with everything. She loves to argue and I even caught her in several lies and then she said I was wrong! The job is finally finished and when I emailed/called Indira Guerrero multiple times to complain, she would never respond. Totally blew me off when I wanted to voice my concern about the horrible work and customer service. My wife and I will never use this company again. We were thinking about upgrading both AC units, but not with this company. I was hoping Indira Guerrero the General Manager could help out at all, but she didnt even care to respond back about my complaints along the way. I just got the bill and wanted to speak to her before paying for the horrible services, but not even upper management cares. This company just wants your money and doesnt care about the customer. Every time I complained to a manger, all I got was this is our best guy and this never happens. I never received word back about any of my complaints. Wish I had never gone with this company.. Would love to hear from someone higher than Indira Guerrero, who doesnt care at all. BEWARE AND STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY

Cypress has ver knowlegeable techs. They are helpful adn willing to explain things to me. I have a HVAC system adn fireplace setup with them. They could improve their scheduling methods to better serve the customer but this is minor in comparison to their service commitment.

Having previously had an air conditioning unit installed by cypress air I was excited to work with them again, however, this experience was less than expected. Its apparent to me now that Cyprus is more intrested in building their relationship with Lowes and selling me what they wanted to push on me rather than what my needs were. I asked Cyprus for quotes on Carrier equipment but was always discouraged. I was also told that once I was dealing with Lowes I had to wait 60 days before I could deal directly with Cyprus, even though I never contacted or replied to any messages with Lowes.Also, be prepared to write down a lot of information on different options that are available, because they dont leave or have any files with information on them. Now it is an exercise in building and viewing a tablet with your choices with the salesperson and nothing to compare and review later on your own to compare with other quotes you might be getting. I even asked for a web site to go to and look at choices, but there is none - so take your time with them and take good notes. Im sure the installers are good, but I wouldnt know that except from my experiences from 8 years earlier.
