I’ve been here for many years along with my parents, and I’ve had a very enjoyable experience over the course of those years. I’ve had a multitude of different things done here, ranging from cleanings and checkups, to x-rays, to extractions, and they’ve all went successfully. What I think is the best about Pure Dentistry is their attitude and demeanor they keep. It’s very similar to Dutch Bros, where positivity is kept at the forefront and people are treated with respect.I would heavily advise anyone to go here, even if it takes 1-2 hours to do so. Can I just say that starting my day with a teeth cleaning has never been more enjoyable than at “Pure Dentistry!” How many dentists do you know have a bouquet of flowers waiting for you to celebrate your 10+ years as a client?! My children and I love Pure Dentistry! The office is state of the art and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and caring. You’re always offered a beverage and you can enjoy a chair massage during your appointment. My kids enjoy watching a show while they’re having work done. Our cleanings are very thorough and the fillings we’ve had are also done extremely well. I’m so glad we found Dr. Slate and his amazing team. Going to the dentist is much more of a relaxing experience here.

Going to the dentist isn’t everyones favorite experience. However, the team at Pure Dentistry always makes you feel welcomed and at ease. I used to avoid the dentist office like the plague and now I’m happy to go because I know I’ll see some super friendly faces, have great conversations with my hygienist (Ashley) and get a juice box on my way out! (Yes, I’m 25 and I prefer the juice box over the Starbucks drink LOL.)

The first time I stepped foot in the door at Pure Dentistry I was treated like I was their only patient. I first was sent a questionnaire which covered a fee different areas. One area which was really high was about my fear of dentist. I had more than my share of bad experiences with dentist throughout my life. The dentist was very attentive to me and asked me several questions. He reassured me right away that me being comfortable was important to everyone who worked there. He also explained that many patients of his started with meds to help with their anxiety and eventually most were able to stop after a few months.The dental assistants and the dentists would tell me that if at any time I was uncomfortable to let them know. They also told me to raise my hand if I ever needed a break. I feel very blessed to be able to see a dentist and his assistants who cares so much. Ive been with Dr. Slate and Pure Dentistry for 12 years now and they have been excellent since day one. I originally came in to repair my smile from decades of grinding my teeth during sleep. He did an amazing job and rebuilt my smile from the ground up and I couldnt be happier. The strong front porcelain crowns look just as good as high-end veneers and have held up extremely well the past 10+ years and are as radiant as ever. Dr. Slate did an excellent job of working with my insurance and finding the best path forward that made it possible to fix something I thought I could never afford to do. They always have the latest technology and entertainment options to satisfy the needs of any patient and the entire staff is incredible. They all make me feel at home on every visit and I actually look forward to going to the dentist every six months to see everyone!

Had my first visit here and felt very welcomed. There was maybe some over communication setting up the appointment but much of that was due to COVID precautions. The associates were all very pleasant and courteous, and Dr. Slate took significant time to address my questions. I’ve never talked as much as I did at this cleaning as the hygienist was very friendly.

Pure Dentistry is not like any dental experience you have ever had. No stress or nerves. The staff could not be nicer. They remember you and treat you like a friend. The office is lovely. The dental chair can be warmed and you can watch a movie or show while your procedure is going on. Dr. Slate explains everything he is going to do as well as what he might suggest for the future. I can honestly say I felt no pain during many different types of procedures. They ask you often if you are doing alright and even call you later or the following day to check on you. Nothing is left undone. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Slate.

I moved over to Dr. Slate three years ago and I’m so happy I made the change. Up until recently I’ve only gone in for my standard cleanings and one or two fillings. During a routine cleaning exam, Dr. Slate recommended a whitening regiment that would be concluded with him refinishing several aging, discovered fillings of mine. I was very nervous for the procedure, but was given the option of nitrous for comfort. A procedure that gave me anxiety for weeks ended up being the best dental experience of my life. On top of being comfortable, the results are amazing and I couldn’t be more pleased.The office is very clean, his staff professional and kind, and you’re made to feel at home when you walk in the door and are presented with several refreshment options.10/10, 5 stars.

Pure Dentistry is following all the guidlines to protect us from Covid-19. I went there today(8/03/20)for a cleaning and felt very comfortable. Im 76.Everyone at Pure Dentistry is professional and knowledgeable. I am so comfortable when I go there and I am glad I found them.

Uninsured Cleaning and X-ray $350Prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic it was $175Dr Slate is an excellent dentist. He’s fair, thorough, clean, and he doesn’t tell you you need things you don’t, like the other dentist across the street from him. Nor does he try to upsell you services you don’t need. He’s only there for what you want and merely makes suggestions based on his expertise. I trust him.But I’ve always paid $175 for a non insured cleaning and X-ray, not a penny more. And I’ve always communicated appointment info with their long time receptionist Candace.Fast forward to May 11 when the shelter in place restrictions were lifted in Placer County and all of a sudden its $350. Yet they don’t you that till after your 45 min cleaning or so.I did contact Gina, their new receptionist who replaced Candace, and politely inquired about it. Unlike Candace, whose very quick to respond. Gina left me hanging. It wasn’t until I wrote a Yelp review explaining my discomfort, that I finally got a response from Gina asking me to consider pulling my Yelp review in exchange for going over my account.So I went ahead and pulled the review. Yet when she finally contacts me, instead of giving me an explanation of why the price doubled, she gave me a copy of my bill, (which I already had). Seeing that she was either playing dumb or just really didn’t understand, I came to the realization that she couldn’t explain it and I felt bad for her and decided to let it go cause I don’t want her losing her job over it.

I’m a new patient. Dr. Darce was very sincere while explaining to me their process. I was referred by a co-worker since I was not satisfied with my previous Dentist that diagnosed me with 7 cavities, I got 3 done and wanted a second opinion for the other 4. Dr. Darce did not see any cavities just a few fillings to keep on eye on. I am very satisfied so far with Dr. Darce :)

My whole family has been coming Pure Dentistry for years. The team has been amazing with the kids - no one is afraid of the dentist anymore... not even me (and I was the worst patient). Dr. Slade did a fantastic job with a cosmetic front tooth fix and with Invisalign. Even the germ-a-phob said she felt completely safe coming to her dental appointment during Covid.

Robin is fantastic! 14 years and counting and Ive never had anything but great care and service. Dr. Slate is always professional but personal. Great office staff.

I’m going to preface by saying I am not a fan of the dentist (I get scared for some reason lol). That being said I LOVE Pure Dentistry because they really do everything to make you feel comfortable. Everyone is super nice and personable. It’s very clean, hand sanitizer at every turn and they take all necessary precautions, including texting upon arrival for your appt. My whole family goes to Pure Dentistry and we have zero complaints! :)

Had my first appointment today. Everyone is so kind and professional. Every x-ray was gone over, and Dr. Slate was happy to answer all of my questions. I can easily understand why this place was recommended to me by so many people.

Dr. Slate and the entire office staff are incredible! Not only did they put me at ease, they assisted my husband on his dental needs . . . and Dr. Slate had his hands full!Ive been an individual who has cleaned their teeth pretty faithfully every six months (for the majority of the time). My husband, on the other hand, had not been to a dentist since he was a little guy. He had such bad experiences that he avoided the dentist no matter what it took. Dr. Slate and I spoke numerous times before finally convincing my husband to just come in and talk to Dr. Slate. Well, a year later . . . my husband is constantly smiling with his new teeth and everyone sees the HUGE transformation that he has gone through. I have a new husband . . . a vibrant man! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Pure Dentistry! Dr. Slate and his team are AMAZING. I highly recommend them to everyone and always tell my family and friends to change their dentist to go here. The team there does such a fantastic job and I have always had a great experience . Their knowledge and expertise is superior to other dentist offices I have been to - I have gone to three others in my life - and I will be a life time member here. I also love my hygienist Robin - she the best! The facility is immaculate and is located in a lovely area with an open space for a beautiful view. There are many other lovely things to say about Pure Dentistry, but you should see for yourself :)
