Looking for a cab and came to see the ratings. We have not used these people, but the owner responds to a lot of the reviews. If youre looking for someone who is respectful, takes pride in their work, and acts in a professional manner I dont believe you have to even get in the car to know you wont find any of that with this guy.

Excellent service although I left my wallet in a cab two weeks ago and Ive been calling the office and I get no answer did they close or what ?

I refuse to use their services every again, I called and was supposed to have a cab within 10 minutes and I been waiting over 2 hours for them to come pick me up! And when I call to see what’s going on the phone rings and no one wants to answer the phone! Very poor service!

I waited on another company for nearly 2 hours. Called Checker Caband he showed up in 5 minuets. Great driver and I will definitely use them again.👍

At 1st i thought everyone experience on here was made up but no its true this place horrible and I didnt even get a chance to get inside the cab called at 9pm ok its gonna be a hour in 30min wait i called back at 1035 didnt i say that it will be a few hours so yea they lost out on good money and in yea Im calling BBB on them and I wish the owner would reply back with a smart comment

You all are great cab company and I was very pleased with you all professionalism, attitude, customer etiquette and the ability to talk to a customer even when you didnt know that they mind was in a worried state to keep me calm and happy throughout the ride there and back. You all is what customer service is about, having a great cab company with wonderful people is a good thing in life.I also was very grateful for the discounts that you all gave me because you all didnt know that I couldnt afford more than what you all asked for. So I have been reading alot of the reviews I have not used them untill recently they always have the shortest wait time. Also have a couple of polite and very friendly drivers. Will definitely use checker again..

Chris patiently waited for my very late 3am arrival in Rockford. He was at the airport waiting when I arrived. Greatly appreciated his personalized service for my late arrival. Would use Checker again.

Arrived 10 minutes early for 7 am pickup. Pleasant conversation for 50 minute trip. Would ride again.

I randomly called checked can and was pleasantly surprised by the courteous, prompt and efficient survice. The driver was very informative, friendly. Most importantly I felt safe as his driving skills were excellent.

Took an hour when he said 15 minutes I had to use my own gps. Muffler was out and he was a horrible driver scariest ride ever

I called ahead a whole hour to have a taxi at my house at 515-5:20 because I had to go to work. They didnt show up until 5:32 then they say that theyre on E and gotta get gas. I was 10 minutes late for work and they charged 40$ like what

If I could leave no stars I would what a joke of a company. Called left a message for a 245 am pickup at 930 at night no one called back or showed up. High call volume is what the answer machine says, yeah right this is Rockford Il.Will definitely not recommend them.

I called middle of the night, and were at my house 10 minutes later (just like they promised). Got me to Chicago Midway in great time! Nice people. Good experiance, I recommend them!

I dont understand how anyone can say one bad word about Checker Cab. They are the best taxi service in Rockford. Always on time, the cars are always clean, and the drivers are very professional. If I could rate them at a 10 I would. I would not use any other taxi cab service except Checker Cab. And i advise anyone looking for a taxi in Rockford to only call them!!!!

Worse cab service in Rockford hands down. Driver is on heroin and crack so scared to enter the car and to drive with him..was wanting to charge triple the fee compared to normal companies. He is never on time very rude and unprofessional to the extremes! Please get him off the streets! Before he kills someone by kidding off behind wheel.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They showed up in private vehicle that was very loud and run down with no cab markings, no meter, and very unprofessional. The driver drove erratically and had a DUI breathalyzer machine that he had to keep stopping to blow into. He almost ran out gas and had to stop before dropping me off (it was less than a 10 mile trip). If all of that isnt bad enough, when we got my destination, the driver was jumped by 4-5 thugs demanding the money he owed them. I believe that if another vehicle hadnt come down the street, they would have jumped me too.

Absolutely horrible service. Cab car reeked of Meth, front passenger appeared to be drugged and nodding off in the front seat. The cab was dirty and looked very sketchy. Tinted windows, ran down car. Absolutely terrified for my safety as well as my younger sister. Called to make a report and was told to ‘try again later’. Was given NO help, and received no information on how this will get resolved. Didn’t even make it to my destination on time was told he would arrive in 30 mins didn’t get there for an entire hour. Was STILL charged and over charged at that. Ridiculous. Should report to the police.

I would continuously call the cab service company if I didnt have to wait over an hour every time I try to talk I call you guys so many times I can give you guys some business and its always over an hour wait so Ive been listening in Newberry not really even Uber forget about Hoover I give Uber thumbs down I want to do business with you guys cuz I like your company and I support local businesses I just pray that you get it together

Checker Cab is hands down, the best taxi service in Rockford. The driver was on time, very friendy and helpful. He showed us around town and didnt have any problem waiting for us while we ran into a few stores.i will be calling you again in the future. Thank you again!

Set up a verified time call they never showed or called. Callled them 2 times got a recording and no callback. My wife was late to her surgery as a result. They suck and dont seem to care about their customers, which is ironic since customers pay the bills. Wish i could give them a zero rating.

Ive called on this cab more times than I call my own mother! The service is awesome and I am always satisfied when I reach my destination. There was one incident where I was in the middle of moving and asked if having more than one case of luggage would be ok. The driver offered to help move my stuff frommy previous house to his car! Gotta say, not many businesses are fuming with this level of customer satisfaction. The people care about whats going on with you and want you to have someone you can count on for a quick pick up or speedy drive. One time I called 15 minutes before I had to work and they told me theyd be there within 20 minutes. The driver showed up much sooner than that and took off like a bat out of hell to get me to work on time. Now, Im not saying that this cab service is wreckless or ignore the rules of the road. What I am saying is that, within the speed limits, it amazes me how I arrived on time and without any discomfort. Checker Cab is the cab to check when you need good quality service! This cab truly does care about its customers and, as Ive said before, you rarely see that anymore!

So I called to see if checker cab could give me rides weekly to work because the ride I had will no longer work. The gentlemen I spoke with told me all the 9AM slots were taken. I find that funny, because I live across the street from two checker cabs that I never see moved before 10am!!!!!

Should be zero stars. Message says they will call right back. Website says they are 24/7. They were called about 11:38 pm for a 12:15 am pick-up. No one has even bothered to call back. Worse than Forest City Cab who goes to the wrong place to pick up or does not show either. Does Rockford have any cabs that can be relied upon?

!!DONT EVER CALL THIS COMPANY!!I had important business to handle. I Called for a taxi, A guy told me 30mins. 45mins later Im getting absolutely NO ANSWER after multiple tries. Its now been 90minsThey are UNRELIABLE!!! Save your time, call somebody else.

I called for a price quote for my family. Was then asked by text if I still wanted the car and responded no because I found a better rate. This was his reply. Cheaper but not reliable, I hope you break down on the side of the road. Wow!

Said they would be an hour, then canceled without notice. Cursed on the phone. Terrible company. I would not recommend to an enemy or friend.

I called and they said flat rate of fifty dollars.when we got in the cab and a quarter way there the driver said Im going to have to charge seventy five flat rate.what a rip off and dirty cab to.
