My father was seen at Friendly Dental in Rock Hill for a consultation, deep cleaning and also treatment. His deep cleaning went wonderfully! The hygienist that attended him was super friendly! Dr. Castillo is amazing at her job. She was very thorough with her exam, she went over his hygiene, his treatment plan and communicated very well with him. He had a root canal done by her as well and ever since it was done, the tooth has not bothered him at all! 10/10 recommend!! She takes her time providing excellent care. She also speaks Spanish which is a huge plus!!!

Awesome place. Dr. Castillo was very nice, but the real star was Sindy her assistant. She was extremely personable and explained everything in full detail. Even my silly questions. She eased my mind and had me walking out very confident in reaching my health teeth goals.Gina or Jenna was so helpful with all my phone / insurance questions and followed up with all the details I needed the same day. Shes the right person to be answering the phones. Such a sweet person

I was referred to friendly dental by my wife. She had an amazing experience when she visited so I wanted to try them out as a new client. Everybody at the office was so amazing. I have been to several dental offices out of state and hands-down this was the best visit I’ve ever had. They are very affordable and knew exactly what I needed for my treatment plan. Looking forward to my future visits.

This is my first time here. Me and several others are currently standing outside because we are scheduled for a 2 pm appointment. Usually first timers will have to arrive several minutes prior to the appointment to fill out paperwork, it is 1:53 pm and the doors are locked.

Friendly staff and they make me feel safe. I was concerned about some procedures and they make me feel at ease with their explanations and communication, taking me through the process step by step. It’s a plus for me, if they’re able to make my mind at ease. Definitely coming back. Prices are reasonable and the flexibility of payment helps if you are out of pocket! Highly recommend this place.

I came to this dentist with an infected tooth. The dentist gave me a prescription for 500mg of amoxicillin instead of 875mg which is sufficient for a tooth infection. He then informs me I will need a 2000$ root canal and my insurance will not cover it. He never gave me an alternative. Like pull the tooth? I know my insurance pays for that. This doctor just wanted to get my money and obviously did not care about the pain I was in. I think this dentist is for the other people . Not OUR PEOPLE (if you get my drift !)

I moved to the area about 2 years ago and was unsure of where to go for dental assistance. Without word of mouth, I had to rely on google reviews and stubbled upon rock hill friendly dental, which was conveniently near my home. They have given me awesome customer service and I could tell most of everyone I spoke to had many years of experience. The assistants are extremely friendly and Dr Castillo did a great job on my fillings. She was very quick and comfortable with the work she provided and I will definitely use her in the future for any dental work I need done. Thank you for everything!

My husband and I have been going to this dental practice for years now. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. They make us feel like family and they are always patient, professional, and personable. Discrimination at it’s finest.First patient there, I arrived 15 minutes early with my son (assuming I needed to being a new patient I might need to fill out forms). Doors weren’t opened. Receptionist came out and rudely said “we won’t open the door til 2 (which is my appointment time) and went straight to her car. Okay.. went back to my car with my 4 year old bec I wasn’t going to have him stand out there in the 90 degree weather.Its 2, we walked back up to the office. 4 people were already waiting inside. Gave her my name and the same receptionist said I can’t have my son with me once I go back there? She didn’t say why but I am assuming bec it was over the capacity limit. I looked behind me and there’s 3 people already over the capacity (including myself. 6 people total. Capacity limit in there is 3). I said there’s another boy in here with his mother how is it not okay to have my son? She said it was bec he’s a patient and she can be w him. But I am a patient as well and my son is still a toddler! If it was a problem why didn’t she mention this when you saw us at the door or over the phone when I made the appointment? It would saved me the trouble from leaving work early and I could have made other arrangements.So we left.It was unfair how we were treated. I’m very disappointed but it doesn’t matter bec she never apologized and the nurses behind her didn’t seem to care either.

As someone who has anxiety at the dentist office, Dr. Barnwell and his staff made me comfortable and told me every step they would take to complete the procedure. I normally hate the dentist but they make it not so bad.

I started going to friendly dentist in Rock Hill back in July... Dr Barnwell is a great dentist but part of his staff is not I was discriminated against by the receptionist Giny who agreed with me that she refused to talk to me over the phone because of my hard of hearing saying that I didn’t understand even after I told her that I had a captioned phone and could read what she said for her non patient self and convience for her she wanted to send emails but I still ended up calling back to the office because she didn’t respond back... I told her that I wasn’t trying to befriend her or be a pest I was simply trying to get an appointment to see the dentist I want this to be known for hard of hearing clients... I also paid $211.00 for a visit that I ended up not having work done because of my need for antibiotics... When I reach Giny my card to put the rest of my money on it which was $154.00 she said it had to be mailed and I would receive it in 2 weeks which turned into a 3 weeks, then a month, then a month and a half she kept giving me the runaround and said that Beth Ramano the accountant would be taking care of it after over 2 months I was frustrated called Beth and demanded my money all the while her sarcastic attitude was actually acting like I owed them, I told her I wanted to speak with her manager, I wanted my money just like they do when I go for a visit and have to pay before being seen. Finally I talked to the manager he apologized and said my money would be here in a week. I like the work of the dentist and I wasn’t going to let those unprofessional people turn me away. Giny and Beth need to go back to school and learn customer service. I give Dr Barnwell a 5 star... Giny and Beth less than a 1 star.

The first visit we got there a few minutes early (my 12yo son and I) we have to use the medicaid transportation who just drops you off and leaves. She refused to let us inside and told us walk to a gas station until the open. So we stood outside in the cold about 15 minutes with my broken tooth throbbing. Then today I walk 3 hours to get to my appointment to have the tooth pulled. K called to let them now it said Id be there at 12:13 is rest OK because Im walking as fast as I can. She says no because theres a 10 minute grace period. So I walked all that way in serious pain( i have fibromyalgia and asthma along with a heart murmur) for nothing. She was insensitive and didnt care kne bit. I literally cried and begged and all over 3 minutes she said no she could reschedule. Horrible experience. So now Im walking 3 hours back home with a broken tooth still. Worst people Ive dealt with seriously.

Ill start off by saying that I really like Dr. Barnwell, he is great. So are the hygienists that I have seen there. But I just cant deal with their front desk anymore. At least one woman is too rude. This last encounter was the last straw for me. If your website says that you are open until 6:00 on T/TH dont act surprised and snotty when people think that is true. And maybe dont dismiss a long time patient who is in pain and asking for an emergency appointment. Made me feel really unwelcome there. Luckily I got in very quickly at another practice or I would have been in real pain all weekend.

This is the best dentist I’ve ever been too. I visited 2 other dentist before coming here and wish I would have found Friendly Dental first. They not only took care of everything my teeth needed, but also fixed some bad work I’d had from previous dentist without me even mentioning the pain. They automatically knew it was wrong. The name says it all. Everyone I’ve encountered here is super kind, caring and helpful. They truly care about any concerns you have about your smile. They are extremely efficient. I’ve never had to wait longer than 10 minutes after arriving. (Usually don’t wait at all). I truly feel like Friendly Dental actually cares about its patients and will do whatever possible to have you leave happy. I have recommended them to lots of family and friends and will continue to do so.

Went in today for a tooth that has been bothering me. Everyone, from the front office to the dentist and his assistants, made me feel so welcomed. Best dentist I’ve been to! I never have to wait more than a few minutes before I’m called back and they are usually pretty easy to work you into the schedule. My son is special needs and has sensory issues. His previous pediatric dentist didnt work well with him at all, but these guys work wonderful with him! I was very pleased with the service my children received today. Customer service from front desk was great. The staff was prompt and friendly. Maribel was very friendly and kind. She was our daughters technicians. She was very understanding when my daughter was afraid and didnt want to bite on the bite wing for x-rays. She was patient and took her time until she got comfortable. Dr. Barnwell was really great with the kids. Friendly and funny. My kids are 8 & 10, they had a positive experience. Appointments are easy to get scheduled. We didnt have to wait long in the lobby either, as new patients I would have expected that. They accepted their Medicaid insurance but their services were reasonable if I had to pay out of pocket. We scheduled upcoming appointments again with them and would definitely recommend to anyone looking!

I had a filling done at another dentist office about 7 years ago, and something wasn’t right. The tooth has hurt badly for 7 years. I’ve gone to multiple dentists who all said the tooth is fine and would send me home. When I came here, they did a ton of xrays. In the xrays, they noticed a gray spot underneath the filling. She said it was either an air pocket or they didn’t remove all the cavity. Either way, she was going to redo the filling. Today is the one day after I had the filling redone and I can say I have no pain at all anymore. I can’t thank this dentist enough! She was wonderful, and she went above and beyond to figure out where my pain was coming from! I’d highly recommend this office!

I have to be honest when I say that I dont really care for the dentist office. However, this place has made me change my thinking. The staff was friendly went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. You are able to watch TV and sit in a vibrating chair all while getting your teeth cleaned. I will be back and will recommend them to my friends and family.

The staff was very helpful and informative. The Dr. offered me an affordable option that another Dentist did not. He was able to save a tooth that I thought I would be lost, and there was no pain. They all seemed genuinely concerned.

I came to Friendly Dental with a toothache and they were able to fit me in quickly, take a look at it, and then extract it the very next day. Everyone here is so nice and they really put you at ease. Plus, the heated massage chairs and TVs in your appointment room certainly dont hurt. Im so glad I found this place! I wont go anywhere else again if I can help it.

I gave 2 stars because of the front staff, particularly Jenny. Ive had a few unpleasant encounters with the front staff but I always brushed it off because the entire back staff are amazing! Recently Jenny was rude and extremely condescending to the point where I have canceled upcoming appointments and switched to a different provider. She really needs a lesson in customer service if shes going to be the first point of contact and represent this company.

DO NOT GO HERE! I came in to have two small cavities filled. I had them filled by Sean Barnwell. In the process he drilled too deep and killed two of my teeth. Afterward I visited their office 5 times saying how much pain I was in. He was very rude and so were his assisting staff. I was very soft spoken and polite but they continued to say they didn’t see swelling, which was very apparent, and that my mouth was quote “textbook”. So I decide to get a second opinion. My new dentist said I had a very bad abscess and that two of my teeth Sean had treated for cavities were dead. Please, think before going here I had to have a tooth pulled because of this and spent almost a year in pain.

This dental practice is excellent from top to bottom. None of the common complaints about dental offices or dentists have surfaced at Friendly Dental. Dr. Barnwell, Amanda, and the rest of the staff are courteous, upbeat, and helpful. I have had a significant amount of work done and they have been honest, clear, and flexible. Aside from the staff, the office is also great. There are too many dark and depressing dentist offices out there. Friendly Dental has a pleasant, relaxing, and modern look and feel. The office is outfitted with up-to-date technology as well.

I have been a patient now for 4 years. Every time I step foot in there, I am greeted with smiles and professionalism. My daughter who was terrified of dentist (shed been to several)and she wouldnt even let them check her teeth. She enjoys going and looks forward to seeing everyone and she no longer conplains about getting her teeth cleaned since starting there! One happy customer!!

I recently had 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out in 2 different appointments. Dr Barnwell kicked ass, he was straight and to the point all along while keeping great bedside manor. I havent been to a dentist in 25-30 years and he and his staff REALLY put me at ease because I was quite nervous. Their courtesy was top notch and I have NO QUARRELS about recommending him or his office for peoples dental needs.

They were very humble, knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Barnwell finished us up and he also possessed the same attributes along with confidence and thats definitely something thats a necessity when having dentistry instruments in your mouth. 😁 We came back today for another service and Sapan was also a pleasure to be around. My husband was the first patient on the opening day of the Rock Hill dental office. I soon followed and must say we are so pleased with the excellent dental care as well as the professional atmosphere amongst the staff. We have already referred several people who are also very pleased with the overall treatment at this office. They have met our needs with flexibility regarding appointments along with good care. Over the years I have had implants, bridge work, root canal, etc. with different doctors. With that said I will tell you Dr. Joobbani stands with the best of them in my opinion.
