The salon space is very nice, clean and peaceful..I enjoyed the atmosphere very much. One lady did my pedicure, and I was satisfied with the job. Another lady did my nails, and theyre..okay. Whatever clear coat was put on first caused more than a few bubbles, and I asked her to correct the ones I could see. So then the polish was put on, and the brush that was used kept giving off miniscule hairs. She pulled a couple off of my nails, but now that Im home I can see down by the cuticle lines that there are hairs on a few nails still...also can see more bubbles. I will see how they fair for the next few days.

This is the best nail salon hands down. Ive been to a few in Rochester. Todays pedicure was so relaxing and amazing. I believe I had the owner (beautiful amazing woman). She took her time and asked me every step of the way if everything was to my liking. I also noticed the other nail techs take their time and do an amazing job with their clients. She didnt rush when other customers came which I was so happy about. They care about each customer and take the time needed. I wasso surprised at how much of a nice experience I had. More people should come here! Its a gem! Beautiful amosphere with calming music. The floral arrangement and paint color is so beautiful there. They have beautiful paintings up as well. I am definitely only coming to this nail salon. Amazing job guys!

If I could give a negative number of stars I would. I called ahead to check prices for a acrylic fill with shellac top coat earlier in the month and was quoted a price of $25 for the fill and $5 for the shellac top coat. I brought my own polish as I have a specific color & type that I love and own. They arent common in salons because they are very expensive. And due to this to be sure it was the right kind I bought my own shellac. My own products were used. The fill was not done very well as my nails were rough around the edges and one nail has already cracked up where my real nail bed is because of how thin it was done. Its been just over a week. I was called a liar about the photo I showed to show the design which was also the design I came in with. One person (a woman) took off my previous shellac and top coat and then a man took over. He did the fill and that started the polish he put to many layers of polish on and didnt give enough time for it to dry. And then did the shellac. He had to restart at least once with the polish itself because he did the design wrong. He called my a liar when I tried to point out the issue. And when he was all done and asked if they were right I said no. He said sorry they werent done to my satisfaction and got up and left. A woman is the one that wiped my nails down after the shellac was done and dried. I got up paid and started to leave and realized I was charged $20 more then I was told it should be. When I went back and pointed this out I was told it was something to do with gel nail polish and that is was correct. I actually filed a complaint with the BBB and was just called back by the man from UC Nails that did the majority of the work and all he did was tell me how wrong I was and that the price was right because I had gel polish and that was the cost for the procedure. Now I get my nails done monthly (granted somewhere else usually) but for more then $5 years Ive had a shellac coat over regular polish and NEVER had this much trouble. And it only coat me $5 for the top coat, and that was with it being provided by the person who did my nails). This was the worst possible experience I have ever had! I attached photos to show the state my nails were in when I got home 10 minutes later. Its hard to see but they are horribly wrinkled. I had to reapply the shellac on my own and they are still not the best looking.

Enjoyed my pedicure, reasonably priced, relaxing chairs, quiet area, foot and lower leg massage was a bonus and they have a large variety of polish colors. I walked in and only had to wait 10 min to get in. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

This is my all time favorite nail place!I’ve been going to UC Nails for YEARS. I do gel polish on my fingers, regular polish on my toes! The polish stays until it’s grown out and ready for a refresh. I’ve never had any issues with chipping or bubbles. I can’t say enough good things about every single person who works here. I don’t have any particular nail tech, they all do a very good job! ❤️

Great nail experience. These guys go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your experience by remembering your name, taking a few extra minutes to touch up your polish or trim your cuticles. One of my favorite places in Rochester. I’m guessing others say the same because I usually see the same customers at each visit.

For the first time I was not happy with my service at this salon. I dropped in to get a pedicure around 1:30pm and it did not go well. They greeted me and then I went to the back and sat in a chair of their choosing. As the employees finished their clients they began to chat with one another. I was asked three times if I wanted something to drink, of which I said water. Fifteen minutes have passed and still no water or anyone to start my pedicure. My feet were now in cold water and still no one has come to get started (another 10 minutes passed). At this point I take my feet out of the water and dry them off and begin to put my socks on. I suppose someone noticed and low and behold here comes an employee with water asking if Im ready. I told her no thank you and left. This is the first time Ive been back to this establishment since my preferred manicurist/employee Vicky quit. Now I guess Im on the hunt for a new salon.

I have been going to Chin for years. He, his wife and the rest of their staff are very professional, accommodating and definitely aim to please. They do a great job ensuring you get exactly what you want and are happy before you leave. I love walking through the door and being greeted by name. I will not go anywhere else as they have set the standard high and I know my nails wouldnt look as nice if i have them done anywhere else.

I recently moved to the Rochester area and was nervous about finding a new nail salon. I was delighted to find UC Nails-- by far the best salon I have ever used. I get a gel fill and polish and my nails have never looked so perfect and so natural. Chin is a master!

These people are so friendly and very professional. I brought my mom here to get a pedicure and our nails done for vacation and they did a wonderful job. I will come back here again. The place is clean and doesnt smell and its real handy to get in and out of right behind Apache Mall. They have a huge selection of colors and pictures that they can put on your toes too. It was so fun. We had a wonderful day, afterwards we went across the street and went shopping at the mall.

I started off with a great pedicure. So I decided to get a manicure as well. My nails were cut super uneven and the corners were sharp, they were barely filed and all my nails were cut different sizes. (I went in with long nails and wanted them cut short). I told this to my nail tech, I believe her name was Srun. She cut them even shorter but they are still uneven, sharp and my cuticles are uneven as well. I’m not sure why she couldn’t just file them. So unhappy with my manicure. I will say they are good at pedicures though.

The man who did my nails was EXTREMELY rude. He kept telling me to stop and youre doing too much he also said dont look at me, look at the tv!! I literally was doing nothing but sitting still. Not to mention I asked for coffin shaped and my nails are square. I asked him to fix it and he didnt. So disappointing. I will not be returning because that was the most uncomfortable experience Ive had getting my nails done. Dont speak to customers that way if you want them to return, cause I know I definitely wont be.

Took my mom to get her nails done, and I got mine done as well. My mom was sat down first and then 20 minutes later I was sat down to get mine done. The man who did mine was very rude and left me sitting there for a good 20 minutes after he glued the false nail on. While he was gone, the false nail on my right thumb was starting to lift on the sides so I told him about it and he said its okay also after this he continuously told me to watch the tv and not help him. I simply replied okay and continued to watch tv. After filing my nails one of the coners was lifting up and he just cut that part off. After this all happened, he moved on and continued to fill my nails with acrylic. After he was done putting the acrylic on he started to paint my nails. When he was done with one side he told me to put them across from the fans to let them dry. He put the next coat on and told me to go to the drying station. After our nails dry, my mom and I were gonna pay and leave. As I was paying, the lady said $75 and I told her its supposed to be $70 and she said oh, cuz your nail shape, you pay $5 more and reminder, the guy that did my nails did not inform me about anything. I jus wanted to leave so I paid and left. When I got home and looked at my nails closely I noticed my nails had some air bubbles and they were shaped so differently. Its been 4 days since I got my nails done, and almost all my nails have come off. 4 nails are left and they all are lifting on the sides and about to come off . This was probably the worst nail salon I have been to. Never going here again. Worst service ever.

I have been going to UC Nails just about since the day they opened the current salon. They are extremely professional and do the best work in town! Equipment is sterilized and I never worry about infection. They use liners in the pedicure bowls, so again, no problem with infection.I read a terrible review here, that can only simply be false. They said prices were not clearly displayed, for one thing. Prices are displayed on the wall in a very obvious place. There is no confusion about the pricing.They said that they brought their own polish and should have gotten a discount... I thought that was out of line! They have at least 1000 different polishes there! Why should they get a discount? They are still having the services done.They said the polish wrinkled, but also volunteered that they used their ownRegular polish and gel for a top coat.., regular polish and gel dont mix well, so Im not surprised they had trouble as result...The design problem was another issue. I know Chinh does they very best he can. No one is perfect!I respect all the people who work there and cannot imagine this person wasnt treated with the utmost dignity and respect.They said that they were called a liar! Those words could not have been spoken by any employee in that salon.They are amazing people and are fantastic to work with!!!I support the UC Nails staff whole heartedly!!!!

The worst!!!! I have to go to the Mayo Clinic tomorrow to have both my big toenails medically taken care of...These people do NOT know what theyre doing..I most likely have at least one ingrown nail. It is so painful.UC Nails should be closed down by the City of Rochester.
