They started off good but have declined in service since. I havent seen anyone since March and my lawn is full of weeds with dead spots in it. I was scheduled for aeration three separate times but no one ever showed up. Im changing lawn car companies.

Ive been contacted several times by this company because of an inquiry I made online. The second person I talked to said I would absolutely need sod and then still tried to sell me on their services. Just got my fourth call today and I made it clear that the price for services was more than I wanted to spend, instead of listening and moving on, the salesperson just kept on. I get it. Thats her job but didnt understand me saying no very well. Im not going to use them in the future based on all this. A little bit exhausting. Im going to reach out to someone local.

This business is very informative of when they will show up. they do a professional job, when there is an issue they are fast to correct whatever issue is at hand. waiting till the end of the year to see how my grass looks as of right now it’s starting to look pretty good

I contacted TruGreen to get their services for my lawn. I asked to have their services for only one year and that’s it. Not only their services were bad, don’t really work but they skip some services and bill you for it.When the year of services ended, they came in and and applied an additional service. They then contacted me to activate my auto payment because it ended after a year of service, exactly what I wanted in the first place. When I questioned them on why they continued the service after I specifically asked for a year of service, their answer was that the renewal is automatic.This is a scam and they know it. They promise you a good service, which is far from true and they tell you a year of service but instead they apply 13 services instead of 12 to get you stuck with their bad services for another year.

Sorry about the lateness. Martin P. was the specialist here 19 March 2021. This is the first time Martin P. has been at our property. We walked the front and back yard as he listens to my concerns. He made sure he covered our property boundary. His pace of spraying the yard was deliberate and methodical. My wife who just happen to be in the yard that morning was incredibly happy with his efforts to cover the yard. She rarely comments to someone for a job well done. She has seen specialists come in and out of this yard in less than five minutes. Prior specialist just run through the yard slinging spray. My latest concern is the rain. We had two days of steady rain the day after that treatment. We both believe the Trugreen treatment was dilute to the point that it was ineffective and washed away. Can anyone from Tureen answer my statement? I was due a service April 26, 2021. I just saw the service was moved to between 3-7 May 2021.

I requested a quote online, and the gentleman that initially helped me was lovely. Later that week someone from TruGreen (Bobby Young was the Caller ID) called me and said they had driven by my house and said they could provide me with services I hadnt inquired about. When I said I was not in need of those services and considering other quotes, the caller got audibly agitated and hung up on me. Super unprofessional. That experience alone will have me looking elsewhere.

In the spring of 2020 our yard was looking about 75% wonderful. We had just put down an extra pallet of sod as well. We hired True Green bc we wanted to maximize our yard. That was the last time our yard looked normal. True Green destroyed my yard. Where the whole pallet of sod was put down is now a big messy mud pile. The back yard is nothing but weeds now. We wasted so much money and for what? For them to tell us nothing. And offer no solution, no explanation. They had the nerve to even start charging me for another year of service without my permission as well!! I’d love to put a sign in my yard that says “serviced by True Green”. Pretty sure they’d never get another contract in my neighborhood again. Do your homework. I didn’t and I regret it every day.Edit: I sent an email like they asked and still NOT A WORD FROM THEM. Only a BILL bc I canceled their service!! So pathetic!

Since I started with TruGreen I have noticed a remarkable improvement in my lawn. My lawn is thicker, greener and has less weeds than before Trugreen. They always let me know before they come and are always asking for any problem areas. I highly recommend.

We also have aeration before seeding, fertilization and disease control for our trees and shrubbery. Our tech is extremely knowledgeable about local conditions of heat and humidity, sandy soil which leaches quickly. He is an excellent communicator, and our property shows the level of care received.We are very pleased with the service.

I have an account with them for mosquito control. My next application was scheduled for today. I stressed the importance of not spraying until I get home from work at 3:30, so I can bring my cats inside. I got text notifications saying the technician would arrive between 1-6. I called 4 times (after each notification) saying do not come until 3:30, and was assured each time that he would not arrive early. My elderly mother just called saying the technician was outside spraying. She told him not to spray until I get there to bring the cats in....he replied that it wont hurt the cats, theyre fine. If the substance they apply isnt harmful to animals, why do they say to bring them in while the spraying is done? And why are we to wait 30 minutes after spraying before walking on the grass? I have called to speak to a supervisor, and was told someone would get back to me. I doubt that too.

1st visit, went to my neighbors house, treated their lawn, left MY invoice. Have cancelled 2x since then. Debited my card for payment and still have not treated my property. We used TruGreen for over a year and we were not satisfied with their services. Our grass had large yellow dead spots year round and was getting worse. We are by no means experts, but we knew it wasn’t from “moles” as our tech kept trying to tell us. We complained multiple times. Our yard was almost the worst in the neighborhood before we decided to stop using their services. Once we informed them we wanted to cancel they wanted us to let the “try something different one more time free or charge.” We reluctantly agreed. Of course it didn’t help. So we cancelled. We were still charged. We’ve had 3 more separate conversations all promising to remove the charge. Well, today we got notice of it going to collections. So buyer beware. We will pay it to prevent it reflecting negatively on our credit. Overall this is inexcusable business practice.

I am very disappointed with this service. We called to cancel and confirmed cancellation, yet they continued to come out and service and charge us. They’re over priced too. I had to call my bank to dispute their charges and thankfully the bank will dispute all of their charges moving forward!

Dont waste your time or money. They will promise you they will show up and all the good things that will happen when signing up. But after they get your money you start to see who they really are. You call to speak to a manager and they tell you they will call you in 24-48 hours and its been 3 days and I have not heard from them yet. I never known of a business where it would take that long to call a customer back. I was told my lawn would be serviced once a month but now they stop coming. I havent seen or heard from them in 2 months and now refuse to return my calls. Not only that I looked on my invoice and they charging one visit twice on the same day. After 4 visits I dont see any difference in my yard. I am turning this over to my lawyer to get my money back. My advice is to stay away from TruGreen. The name should be FalseGreen.

We’ve been using their lawn care plan for a while, but have never seen any result. The other day, my husband was working from home and accidentally witnessed from the window the poor job the TruGreen guy did—he didn’t even spray the whole lawn; he randomly sprayed one part and put the sign as if it’s done.My husband called to complain and the company promised to send someone else to redo it. Guess what, they sent the same guy—my husband happened to arrive home after work; the guy approached him and asked “what’s the problem?” Now I feel it has somehow evolved from a poor lawn care job to a safety concern!

One of the tree guys was out three weeks ago and I told him how pleased I am with their treatments. Three trees in very important spots in our landscaping had chronically suffered from early, massive leaf drop. The big tree over our deck dropped at least 80% of its leaves by August 1. Since TruGreen has been coming out, all three trees and several others are healthy. A Hawthorne that always looked sickly bloomed this year for the first time!

My rating on one star is very generous. In the Trugreen website they talk about providing service in 1 - 3 days. I contracted for a service on June 5th, three weeks later nothing.DO NOT PREPAY.If you are not in a location that is close to a service facility they will take your money and never come.

I’m a little leery of this company here. I kept getting calls from a local field supervisor about getting me signed up for services. I told her over and over I didn’t want to start. Well she kept on calling week after week. Finally I said okay. She asked for my credit card and I refused to give it to her. She said she would sign me up on a billing system so I would get the bill in the mail. I left home and missed several calls from the corporate office and I called them back. Here is where it got interesting. The local lady signed me for mosquito several applications but we had only discussed doing a winterizer and one mosquito treatment. So after I addressed that the corporate lady went on to tell me she saw I had been calling in multiple times that day before trying to get the service activated but I never called them. They called me and left messages but I never called. So be careful with this company. People will scam you. If I hadn’t called back someone probably would have called them and said yes to everything and I would have been stuck paying for all those treatments I didn’t want. Not good. Very sad what people will do for commission checks.

Doesnt take a rocket scientist to see that many of the 5 star reviews are duplicates. Clearly TruGreen is attempting to stack the deck in their favor.If I could give a zero star rating i would. Corporate sales signed me up in January of this year. Never received a lawn evaluation. My yard was never measured. Service tickets indicate I have +/- 12,500 sf when I actually have 18,000 sf of turf. 3 out of 4 visits were logged as lasting exactly 17 minutes. I ask how is it humanly possible to have that level of consistency between spray techs? The only logical answer is that it is not possible.When I called corporate and then the local office to complain, I was given the our technicians are highly trained to cover exactly 1000 sf per minute speech. That may be fine and the numbers would seem to work but the part of the equation that was left out is the amount of time I spent discussing the condition of my lawn during each visit. Bottom line is that actual boots on the ground time has been more like 8 minutes which isnt nearly enough to properly care for my lawn.As a retired landscape company owner and certified pesticide applicator, I can tell you that the worst thing you can do is over or under apply pesticide. TruGreen has no flow meter on their equipment so they really have no idea how much chemical they are applying. The numbers on the service ticket are all fictional.I was promised services that I have never received including insect control, fire ant control and control of lawn fungus.If you are looking for a lawn maintenance company, do yourself a favor and avoid TruGreen. You can thank me later by joining in a class action lawsuit.

TruGreen came to my house in early March 2017 to fertilize when I showed them a bare spot in the yard. the Employee said he would have someone come out and take a soil sample as he took pictures of the spots. I heard nothing until I called and complained weeks later. the manager said the employee was no longer with them and must have failed to put the request in. A representative finally showed up (April 18, 2017) and took the soil sample then informed me I had low PH levels. I was called by TruGreen in late May requesting a credit card number to pay for the treatment. I gave them the credit card number and they said someone would contact me to set it up. as of today, June 22, 2017, I have not heard from anyone. Called TruGreen a few minutes ago to learn they charged my credit card (of course they would) but havent even called to set up the treatment. Company is a JOKE!!!! Everyone should contact Scientific Turf which is where I am going. anything is better than this!

Twice now I have gotten the call for next day service with no approximate time when. Stayed home almost all day except to go get child from school. No knock at the door to do the back yard, just a email that our yard had been serviced. Tried calling them to come right back and it took a week to get them to come back and finish. Figured I would give them another chance, supposed to be serviced today, this time they didnt show up or call. And no it wasnt raining....No way to call a after hour service either 😡😠

Dont ever use this company for lawn service. Our yard looked progressively worse every year over the 6 plus years we used the company. We cancelled our service, started self treating our yard and it started looking healthy again!! Then we received a call from Transworld that Trugreen sent us to collections for $61 claiming that we didnt pay our last bill. The absurdity in this scenario is that we had been on auto draft payment with them for years so there should have never been a payment issue and they had told us that they were not charging us for the last treatment. I’ll chalk it up as a $61 dollar lesson in how to not run a business. The only thing worse than their communication is their core business of lawn treatment.... So unless you like crabgrass and a patchy yard I would stay away from this company.

I was satisfied with trugreens handling of my concern. My yard was serviced the morning we had 3 1/2-4 inches of rain. I had yard flooding and felt the servicing would not have worked. I was told what to look for to confirm the effectiveness of the service and told if I did not see that they would come out again. A week later the service mgr called and discussed with me and decided they were going to do it again at no cost.

I have had TruGreen for the last year with less than desirable results. I chose TruGreen because I had an excellent experience with a home I own in Texas. Unfortunately, this experience was not the same. I still have a myriad of uncontrolled weeds in my yard, there are only a few green patches of healthy grass, and there was no recommendations from the tech on what to do next. No aeration, no advice on watering or cutting as the lawn was a new lawn and no advice on how to get dying grass alive again. This is not the experience I expected from a business with an otherwise great reputation. There was no hesitation to sell me products (that I didnt need); however, no advice on the obvious issues that really needed their attention.I had several obvious dying spots in the yard and no advice on what to do to revive those areas. With consultation from another provider I was able to get grass to grow where TruGreen was unable to do so. If I could do it on my own, why would I need TruGreen? Exactly! I dont need TruGreen and they are officially fired!!

I have had TRUGREEN service For over two years now. I had both the lawn as well as the Tree and shrubs fertilisation plan. After two years the lawn still has tons of crabgrass and looks extremely unhealthy. The interesting thing is the Fertilisation on every visit is done in less than 8 to 10 minutes. When I questioned the technician, He indicated to me that they are trained to walk in a certain pace. My cameras have recorded him strolling through my yard.Do not waste your money with this company.

Tech treated my lawn early May at about 8:00 am. The treatments were fertlizer, weed control, and pesticides. When I arrived home from work that afternoon, it was evident the lawn had been treated due to the appearance and strong chemical smell.It rained for couple of weeks in June and after calling, I finally received a 2nd appointment on 6/14. The weather was fine. No one showed or called. I checked online and the appointment had been rescheduled for 6/20. On 6/19, I called to verify. I was told the techs would be out on 6/27. I asked to speak to the manager of the local office but he was never available. I called back again on 6/20 and was told my appointment was on 6/28. At that point, I stated if they could not treat my lawn this week, I was canceling the service. I received a call back stating they had scheduled me for 6/21.At about 2:20 pm on 6/21, I went outside to determine if my lawn had been treated. There was a handwritten note stating the lawn had been treated with fertilizer, pesticides, and weed control at 1:45 pm. However there was no evidence the lawn had been treated-- No smell at all. There were a few wet spots on the lawn that smelled like nothing---water. I checked online and saw a charge of $48 for the treatment thats day. There is no way my lawn was treated. I called and complained several times. No one has called me back. I canceled my card and the service and I have no intention of paying the $48 for having water sprayed on my lawn. Im definitely looking for a localservice.

My lawn is beginning to look great as I expected it would after seeing what True Green did for my sons lawn in Connecticut. Ive met my specialist twice. Once at the start and again when aerating my lawn. Just based on my comments, he must know what he is doing. Plus, the service is quick, quiet and efficient.In a discussion with True Green management prior to aeration, I mentioned my concern about only taking care of weeds in the lawn and not immediately adjacent to it, I was assured that that would be remedied. A few days later, True was back spraying. I am happy. If this service continues, I will be back again next year.

Called to have someone come work on my backyard, the call was made May 3rd, they took my information and card info. May 24th and no one from true green has even called to give me an update. I called them and the girl on the phone thought it was funny. I told her to cancel it she said is there anything I can do so you dont cancel YES do the work for free. She said she cannot do that. I have no problem paying for it, but 21 days after and for you to think it was funny??? NO MAAM.... horrible experience.

I like the procedure of calling the customer telling them of the upcoming lawn treatment. The specialist is friendly, professional and knowledgable. We were concerned about weeds and he assured us he would take care of them. And he did!We are paying your company more than we ever did in the past for this type of service and inside pest control was always included, this is my only negative comment.All in all you came to us recommended and we were anxious to have our newly placed sod taken care of by the best! So far so good!

Bait and Switch - canceled the service, deleted card information from the autopay. Tru-Green offered one last free lawn service. I agreed. Sent 2 technicians, one for the free service, one for a random bug/pest application and charged for it. basically offered a free service, and charged for a different service. dont waste your money with this company...im not sure they even did anything when they came out, we were always at work....grass never got any greener, weeds never got any deader. Save yourself the head ache and go buy a bag of weed and feed, your lawn will look better than an entire year worth of tru-green

Absolutely the worst service experience that I can remember in the last 20 years. Signed up with them this year. After the first two service visits they missed the next service visit 6 weeks in a row! I had multiple call and chats with customer service reps. who either were unhelpful or made commitments that were not kept. I tried to get answers from Service Managers but they never called back. I would not recommend to anyone at any price.

Had trugreen in Hilton Head for 3 years. 5 star service. Moved to Savannah about 2 months ago and made arrangements to stay with them as we were very pleased. Paid for a full year of service up front (I’ll not do that again). First service call was fine, no problems. We live in a gated community so we have a gate... easy to get rung in. I see the truck all the time. Made arrangements for aeration last week. No call no show but got an email that said gate locked . No service. I rescheduled for today.... got an email... gate locked reschedule your service. No call no show from Trugreen again. Called the 800 number, complained, and magically the guy shows up this afternoon (i guess the gate wasn’t an issue then) . Unfortunately, he did a terrible job . Did not even aerate at all, either of my side yards and shoddy half work in the back missing a full 1/3 of the yard. And charged me 180 bucks! Needless to say I have cancelled my service and am awaiting refund. Go local, don’t use these guys if my experience is their standard.

I contacted Trugreen and set up a service. I was told my first visit would be $29.00 with a recurring charge of $49 after that. After my first visit, I received a bill for over $93.00. I called and was told there were two visits combined into one, and the discount for the first visit was not available to me because I would not prepay for service.When I protested that was not what I was told, the representative offered all sort of discounts to keep my business. If they can not honor the price on my first encounter, why would I trust them in the future. Additionally, my weed treatment seems to have failed to produce any result. I am displeased and feel mislead. A poor representation of this company.

Terrible service especially after the merger with Scotts. DO NOT USE TRUGREEN. The technicians only want to spray chemicals. They have no idea how to diagnose or treat lawn issues (I quiz them every time they come to my house and their lack of knowledge is shocking). Techs misdiagnosed cinch bugs as drought stress and stretches of my lawn died very quickly. A manager finally came to look at my lawn (although I had no idea they were coming) and he agreed to replace my dead grass. He has not returned my phone calls or called to have the sod replaced in three weeks. When you call for service, you speak to a script reader who has no clue about lawn issues. Service calls take days and lots of grass will die while you wait. Find a local service that you can call and talk directly to the owner. TruGreen is terrible!

I had TruGreen service several years ago and cancelled due to poor service. Decided to try again. Did 1 year service plan. They treated my yard on Feb 2 and never came back. I called the local office on April 11. Held for more than 30 minutes. Gave up and called the national number. They have no idea why i have received no service but are glad to schedule. Tech treated less than 25% of my yard on a promotion early this spring. I know this because I had similar weeds all over my front and back yard and only a small portion of the lawn did it kill the weeds. This section also turned yellow and the grass was over-treated causing it to be crispy It did however recover over the summer. The problem is they will not stop calling. Ive told several marketers to remove me from their call list with no avail. The second to last call I told them if they were to call again I would contact the FCC and file a complaint. I have never done this before. They just called again so, I had to take time out of my day to file the complaint I promised I would do. If you have the same issue its easy to do at the FCC website.

I had Trugreen for over a year. Last year I had a few issue with schedule no shows and a few return calls because no results. However, by the end of that year services they seem to have did everything I requested and my yard was beautiful. This year I decided to hire Trugreen again, I had nothing but, bad experience. My yard is damaged with spots and weeds all over. I talked to numerous supervisors and still there was no result. Appointments would be set and no one show nor did I anyone call to reschedule. I would always have to call to find out information. No one have contacted me relating to my issues. I have no choice but, to contact an attorney to get money for all the damaged caused. SInce using True Green, my newly sodded lawn has gone from green, to dead and weedy. I called, had an appt for the service manager to come and try to determine what was going on. Hands down...THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Since March of this year, I have had nothing but problems with my service through this branch. My lawn went for 10 weeks without service. In that time, it was destroyed by moles and grubs. After spending 6 weekends, both days of the weekend, laying 30 bags of dirt, 8 bags of seed, grub control, installed 8 mole repellent stakes, plugged mole worms into the mole holes, and put out 7 bags of mole repellent, FINALLY, my lawn is coming back around. To add, I purchased lawn plugs for my back yard which were to be installed the end of April to the beginning of May. They were NOT! I called to find out what had happened and was told I was not on the schedule. Not only was I NOT on the schedule to have my lawn serviced, I was not on the schedule to have the plugs installed. One month ago the plug installation started. The service person whom showed up started to drill holes in my neighbors back yard for plug installation. Luckily I saw him do it and stopped him. This however was after he had dug close to 36 plus holes. He left and never filled the holes in so I had to make things right with my neighbor and fill in the holes he created. It took an entire week to get someone back out to perform the installation. Well the auger broke. So only a few trays were installed. It took another week for a service person to come back again and the yard still was not completed. He told me he would be back out late last week to early this week. So I called to make sure I was on the schedule and was told the plugs would be completed 6/20. No one showed up. No one called. I called this morning 6/21 and was told I never had an appointment for yesterday but they would put in a call to the manager and schedule an appointment within the next three business days. This is absolutely ridiculous! I spoke with the manager of the location, Keith, without any sort of resolution. The GM called and apologized, and asked if he could swing by for a site visit. He NEVER showed, and NEVER called! I prepaid for my service. I prepaid for my plugs and I have done nothing but get the run around. Lets not forget the fact it cost me $700 to fix my front lawn due to all of the damage from moles, grubs and what not because my yard had not been serviced. I will contact the BBB and get resolution one way or another. Choose a local service before throwing your money down the drain with TrueGreen. It is NOT worth it.

**I DO NOT RECOMMEND***I received notification that the technician arrived, 2 minutes later another notification saying the treatment was finished. Technician was going to hang the service description on the door when they realized I have cameras. Sprayed the front yard, and not even a quarter of the backyard. Called the company 5 minutes after they left and was told the technician will call me to finish the job that I am paying for. No call back. The service description on my door has the wrong address on it, so what did they spray on my lawn?? Also, in the special instructions it states Please make sure all areas are serviced **cameras*** So, if the customers did not have cameras would they have even did anything? Previously, they came out was the same situation, but I let it slide did not call, just chalked it up as the technician was having a bad day. Yesterday was the 2nd time, so I canceled this morning. Save your money and look at other companies.
