I had the privilege Of doing some work for this business. Before I got into the line of work I’m doing today I was in the auto body industry. I’ve worked in several shops so I was excited to check this shop out. First impressions are everything and when I was greeted by the ladies in the front office I felt very welcomed even though I wasn’t a customer. I was taken to my work area which allowed me to walk from one end of the shop to the other. This allowed me to get a good look at how they do things. The thing I picked up on first was most of the cars that were not being worked on were covered in painters plastic to protect them as other cars were being worked on. I was able to talk to one of the painters and he seemed very knowledgeable. Just from what I’ve seen these people go above and beyond to make sure their customers and their vehicles are taken care of. I would not hesitate to have my vehicle worked on by these guys.

I took my car to Dodd’s as they are a Grange Insurance preferred body shop nearest to me on the Eastside of Columbus. I am very satisfied with the work done. My car was cleaned and detailed upon pickup. Paint matched wonderfully. Easy process, friendly and professional staff! I worked mostly with Tim and Angie.

I think you just expect SOMETHING to go wrong with bodyshops, so…my hopes weren’t high. I went to Dodd’s after I was rear-ended. I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the drop off, pick up and communication throughout. Both in person interactions were quick, painless and friendly. I will go back if I ever have future needs.

I recently took my car to Dodds for some work after getting into an accident and I am so happy with my experience. My car looks excellent and high quality parts were used as replacements for the parts that were damaged. They were very efficient in communicating with both myself and my insurance company throughout the whole process, and every employee I spoke with was kind and helpful. Its always nice when you can tell employees genuinely care about what they do. I would recommend Dodds for any auto work!

I have been a Dodds customer for 34 years. I have had my vehicle in twice since August to fix some door trim issues and have one door adjusted that wasn’t closing correctly. I was given immediate service both times. Total time spent on both repairs or adjustments was about 30 minutes or so. Professional and prompt service each time.

I got an estimate for some body work and it was quoted for almost 10k. I called and asked if there was wiggle room and the guy seemed like there was and said he would call around and then call me back to let me know. No call as of 3 weeks later.. I got another estimate somewhere else and it was 3500, and a third was 4000... Theres a real difference there.. As a preferred eerie insurance body shop, I learned that they discount parts by 10 to 15 % for the insurance companies.. No thanks..

Worked with John to get my truck repaired from a rear-end collision. The guy went so far over the top to take care of us. The auto body stuff looks brand new and they repaired so much more than Geico originally found wrong. Then when leaving my check engine light came on. Even though it wasnt anything his shop done, he went way above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I will tell everyone I know to go to Dodds and ask for John!!!!!

Dodd’s did an excellent job on my Rav4. The staff were extremely friendly and treated me like family. They had my car for a very reasonable time keeping me informed on everything they did. They even washed and vacuumed my car while they had it! The workmanship on the damage is fabulous and I would use them again and highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

The best body shop in town

S/O had his truck taken there after he was in an accident that was not his fault. Glass was all in the truck as a result of the accident and Dodds promised there would an entire interior detail and sweeping there was still glass all in the backseat, in the seat belts and in the bed of the truck after the car was returned, truly egregious. Not only did Dodds lie repeatedly about when the car would be ready they made my S/O pay a deductible fee that was already supposed to be covered by the at fault insurance to get his truck back. Not to mention he has to bring the truck back again after they kept it weeks after they were supposed to because they still didnt order and install the correct running boards. If I could give less than a star I would. Truly shady from a business standpoint and an extreme safety hazard to have glass left after it was contracted and promised to be removed.

Very friendly staff and they will work with you if you have interest in paying out of pocket and perhaps doing some repairs on your own. This was my initial approach and having them do some more technical stuff like painting. The estimate they provided more detailed than the chain locations, with the understanding until they had the bumper off, they wouldn’t be able to clearly identify all the aspects that needed to be repaired or replaced. I ultimately went with another shop because they could schedule my repair much quicker, and spend more time with the estimate ( other shop popped the hood to look for damage and also got under the car, their estimate was around $1200 more due to the damage they could see ). This is a local shop that maintains a great reputation and has a very friendly office staff so give them a try if your local!

I just have to say! They go above and beyond. They fix my mirror and it didnt need calibrated at the dealership but I had already put in for an oil change as well so they called and are taking it in for me anyway. I love these guys amazing!!!!! I would give them 20 stars if I could!!My parents went to them 30 years ago and I wont go anywhere else. They were awesome and fix my car at 90% less the price of the dealership.

Great personnel, clean and orderly environment, very knowledgeable employees who treated me kindly, courteously, were friendly and answered all my questions completely. After suffering auto damage, the inspection, estimate, interface with my insurance company and communication with me made the decision to again employ their services a foregone conclusion. It was easy to spot from the street and parking was pleantifull.

Horrible. Had our car for weeks. Didn’t even fix everything because they’re trying to say some of the damage on our BRAND NEW CAR was there prior to the accident. And refused to give us our car until we paid a $500 deductible when the repairs were being paid for by someone else’s insurance because the accident wasn’t our fault. The guy who runs the place is a real jerk to boot. Take your business elsewhere if you’re not in the mood for a giant headache.

I had scratched my car on a shopping cart. I went to the body shop thinking Id need a new paint job. The person was able to bluff it out & there was no charge. Very happy customer!

Ive had work done by Dodds in the past and recently had work done on my Subaru Forester. I give the whole experience 5 stars. The staff went above and beyond what was required to make the process easy and convenient. From the front desk professional, to the estimate technician, to the professionals who actually did the work on my car..all were friendly, knowledgable and aimed to please. The work was exceptional. I would not take my care anywhere else.

No one ever wants to have to visit a body shop. But, when you do have to, you want it to be a place like Dodds. My husband and I recently took his car there to have some painting done. We were very pleased with the results. Dodds took care of his car quickly and efficiently. The paint job looks brand new, and we left, hassle free. If anything happens to either of our vehicles again, we will go to Dodds first. Well worth the drive from Grove City to be in such good hands.

I have taken several vehicles to Jeff at Dodds over the years... have been trusting them without fail for 2 decades now to repair, restore, and customize everything from a nearly totaled minivan to simple door ding removals. There is no place I would even consider taking my vehicle for body and/or paint work... period.

My car was sideswiped by an unknown driver while it was parked (no note was left). My insurance company recommended Dodds. The damage appraisal was booked quickly & completed very professionally. I was given a pickup date of four days; I was notified there would be a small delay of an additional day & the car was in beautiful condition when I picked it up, washed and the headlights were cleaned.I hope I never have to experience accident body repairs again, but if I do, I know exactly where Ill bring my car.

Disappointed. What we talked about fixing and what was performed were two different things. I got lectured by the estimate guy who had 30 years experance that I did not know how to read his estimate and what the meanings of what an underscored numbers means. Im sorry. Estimates should be easy to understand by all parties. I will never go back or recommend this shop to anyone. What they did fix was up to standards.

My car was damaged in an accident that was the fault of the other driver. I was under the impression that Dodds was “working” on my vehicle since the accident. They ship out your vehicle to another shop if anything mechanical is wrong with it. A month and a half goes by and they tell me my car is ready for pick up. I pick up my vehicle and now notice a crunching noise from the back of my car that I was never told about. I bring my car back and tell them the car still needs repaired and they state “it’s a known issue with your car and the insurance company won’t pay for it”. This noise never happened before the accident. I am now in the process of getting this approved between the insurance company and a dealership. This company does not fight for your best interest. When trying to speak with them about this problem they advised “they have an attorney sitting on his @ss ready for a lawsuit, so bring it on.” And that any concerns that I have about how this was handled would be a waste of my time to address. Go with a company that cares about you and your vehicle.

Ive lived in Reynoldsburg my whole life. I was hit and thought I would try Dodds out based on reviews, referrals etc. I was SO SORRY I ever took my car here. They are friendly clean and seems like everything is on the up and up. My door and quarter panel were damaged. They fixed the door and quarter panel. Then they did not put my bumper back on properly but never called me to ask if the bumper was like that before the accident (which it wasnt) but apparently b/c I didnt mention anything they did feel like they needed to look into it further. I am currently waiting for the part to fix the bumper. They had me pick up the car after hours on a Friday so I couldnt address the bumper issue until Monday morning. They also left my car a mess on the inside. It was never vacuumed and washed (as contracted by the insurance company). I brought this to Marys attention and she and another gentleman quickly vacuumed out the back seat (not the front). When I got home there was dust in my CD player that had again never been cleaned. I figure if there is TONS of dust from sanding etc. (normal) then shouldnt they turn in for a detail job or at the very least make sure that the car has been completely vacuumed? Bottom line is I am not a mechanic or a body work person so as the body shop you should be working in the best interest of your customer and they clearly are only working for themselves. I would never had let my Mother or sister drive out of there with a bumper missing parts on it (and say nothing about it). I have a 4yr old and I do not feel safe driving my car down the interstate with the bumper being as it is.PS- I HATE being that person and so it pains me to have to write a review like this but they are just plain shady, nice like a used car salesman and slimy like one too.

Did a very good job for my mother and worked well with state farm and enterprise

I was fortunate enough to encounter a car wash that detached a piece of my car during the wash/dry cycle. I recovered the part ( which, of course the car wash was NOT responsible for the damage ), and took it to Dobbs for an estimate. I appreciate the fact that they gave me two choices for my repair, with a written estimate of both. This repair shop was recommended by my mechanic, whom I trust. The people at Dobbs are friendly, very helpful, and experienced. When it came time to get the side panel of my car reattached, I also had them look at my lock on the hatch. I made an appointment, and had a short wait until the repairs were done. On top of everything else, I received such a blessing as I was leaving, which is for me to know. If you need body work done, stop in and receive your own blessing. I wont hesitate to use them if needed ( I pray not ), or recommend them to my friends and family .A very satisfied customer !

I’ve had good experiences with dodds even though this last time my car is not 100% I would still recommend them.

Price to high.

The folks at the shop are very friendly... however they botched my repairs. Its crazy, reading all of these other reviews and EVERY single negative review reflects the SAME issues I had! Not only did they take a week longer than they said- and every day I called, It will be done tomorrow THREE TIMES. Then, an issue they had JUST fixed, showed back up 4 days after I got my car back. They put me in a rental (obviously) and had my car fixed the next day, however left my fender loose- that they had ALSO just replaced. I wrote a letter to the GM, Jeff, requesting a partial refund of my deductible. He called me to deny my request, and tell me how great they are, even saying, You can look us up- we have NO complaints (BOY BYE!) and then he listed all of the favors they had done for me- he honestly made the situation and my opinion of their company MUCH worse... I will NEVER use Dodds again nor will I ever recommend them.

I took my 2112 Toyota Camry to Dodds for repairs. The front of the car was unrecognizable after the accident. I thought it would be a total loss. After seeing it repaired I was amazed!!! I highly recommend Jeff and his staff. A+++.

Took my car here for repairs based on a referral from my insurance. The repair was for my drivers side headlight. After inspecting my car for the repairs dine I got in my car to see that my turn signal/light gear was broken and electrical taped back. I went back in to get an explanation, an employee I believe to be the manager came out to look at it and told me they didnt do it, they couldnt have. I explained that there was NO damage to this gear before taking it there for repairs. He remained adamentioned that his employees could not have it, he would fire someone for that. He also stated why would they be using my turn signal....the gear operates both the lights and turn signal! I highly doubt they would put in a new light and not test it after it was installed. So now I have a turn signal I can barally use on the verge of snapping off. My light is fixed but now I have another issue thanks to this establishment. The whole situation was highly unprofessional and I would never take my car here again. If you company does damage to a vehicle you are repairing, admit your guilt and fix it! I will definitely be doing all I can to get this situation taken care of on my end. I should not have to pay for damages I did not do. You guys should be ashamed, the work they did on my light and car exterior was good but braking my signal/light gear and not fixing is unexceptable! I guess I wasnt supposed to notice the tape...ridiculous.

Staff seemed professional and efficient.Discussed with owner whether to put a new skin on damaged door or use a bondo type repair. I elected the Bondo. It hss been one year, it is impossible to tell where it was fixed, black paint and clear coat are just like rest of car.This was a self pay, their approach to the problem seemed more reasonable than some other high rated shops.I would use them again.Has been 18 months, door still looks new.

On a friends recommendation I took my Ford Explorer from Westerville across town to Reynoldsberg for an estimate. I thought the price was fair so I left the SUV. I was surprised when ten days later they called me to say it was ready to be picked up. It was like new and I couldnt see where the work had been done. Its been over a year now and it is still the same. Excellent work at a reasonable price. I will travel the distance if something else is needed. I highly recommend the professional friendly folks at Dodds.

I came to Dodds to see about a very minor repair after a large piece of truck tire hit the front of my car on the freeway. Andrew Raisley spent about 20 minutes in 84 degrees under the front of the car and in that time, he realigned the front quarter panet and reattached the undercarriage cover. Then told me there was no charge.This is definately the kind of company I want to do business with. They have been in Reynoldsburg for many years and despite the couple of reviews on this site, they have always had a good reputation. They will be getting all my business in the future.Hopefully there wont be any but still.......
