I have loved working with Zach and his team!

Zach Hillman and Associates have been handling my insurance needs for over 15 years. My family likes the small company feel and service we receive. You just cant get that anywhere. There is never a time when I call that someone does not answer or is happy to hear from us. Thank you Zach and Crew!

We had a devastating wreck in early 2016 and working with this company made untangling the mess much easier. I had to do so much consulting over the phone and email, but they were always in good moods and helpful even if they did not have the answer themselves. I really like this company and appreciate the help they continue to give me and my family.

Zach and his staff are amazing! We have never had to file an insurance claim until this year. After we filed our claim through the claim department, we received a call from Zachs office the very next day to check up on us. They helped handle our claim and make sure we were being taken care of. We received our check from American Family in a very timely manner and every question about our claim was answered along the way. You never know until you need your insurance company how you are going to be treated, and American Family Insurance and Zachs office couldnt have handled our claim and situation any better. I highly recommend Zach and his team.

I have had minimal success ever reaching an agent when I call. The agent, even after I emailed her both my work number and my cell phone number, always called my husband instead of me. We were never given an explanation on our policy, etc. Did not appreciate the lack of attention and response. We will be staying with American Family but will be switching agents.

Great place and even better people! Zach is who I use and he is awesome. He gets back to me very quick and knows his stuff. Even when I just have a question he will explain to me in as much detail as I ask and he explains what Im being charged for exactly and no hidden fees. Highly recommend!

Havent been able to talk to an actual agent for the longest time.

They’ll call you on your birthday, but otherwise don’t answer their phones or call you back. Good thing AmFam corporate is good. Otherwise we’d have left for another company a while ago. We’ve had a couple claims the last couple of years. We always started with corporate but still wanted to speak to Zach a few times to get some additional help / insights. We left messages but never got calls back. Left one just two weeks ago that I’d still love a call back on.

Liz and Brenda are amazing! They are super helpful. I know I can always count on them. I recently totaled my car. They have helped thought the whole process. Im very thankful!

We have been with American Family Insurance since we got married, almost 10 years ago! Back then they were the most bang for your buck and they continue to be for us. They are always so nice and easy to work with. We would recommend them to our friends and family.

Zach is a great guy! Very down-to-earth, and will go out of his way to serve you (as well as Janine, the office manager).There have been times where they are slow or misplace your papers (seem a little unorganized sometimes).Their rates are great compared to other insurance companies in town. I love the fact that they do free emergency road-side service (I just had my car die and they covered the expenses for towing). Very pleased with their service.

Zach has always been honest and up front with us regarding our insurance. His staff is very professional and courteous. American Family has been extremely helpful and accommodating when filing a claim. Ill always pay a little extra in premiums to have great customer service from my agent, his staff and the insurance company. Thank you Zach and staff!!

Insurance kept going up every month without explanation. When we asked why, all our agent could tell us was that there were things happening in other states that were changing the rates.When we cancelled our insurance with them, no effort whatsoever was made to retain us. After paying off our premiums, we were contacted again on two separate occasions more than a month later saying that we still owed two different amounts of money. Despite having chat records of an agent telling us we didnt owe anything else, we were still obligated to pay both sums.Not impressed and definitely wont be going back to this location or any other AMF insurance offices.

My policy was close to its renewal date, I called 4+ left two voicemails and no one got back to me. If you’re a new customer, they’re great! Just don’t expect any help afterwards. They’ll just refer you to the 1-800 number or simply ignore your requests.

Zach Hillman and Associates have competitive rates but, its not worth the lack of professionalism, honesty and accountability that they lack. They made a mistake on my policy, insuring a driver who was on another policy, which is illegal, after I asked to have that driver removed a year and a half prior. Brenda Miller blamed me for not catching the mistake even though I told her specifically to remove the car and the driver. She told me the refund amount of this driver being removed from the policy was 26 cents. (I have the voice message saved for my attorney). She said that was the refund amount due from August of 2017 when, actually, she made the laughable refund backdated only to February of 2018, though her message states it was backdated to August 2017. I found this out by calling the corporate headquarters, who also laughed at the inane amount as well. If you must insure your autos through American Family insurance Co., find another agent or keep a close eye on your policy and wallet

My father and I are on a plan together, to get the multi-vehicle discount. This office has promised to call my father back a number of times and doesnt. Also, my father added a vehicle to his part of the policy and they put it on mine, charging me for it. Took several calls in attempts to get this very simple thing fixed, and its still not, in fact, things are screwed up even more now. Now I get mail with his name on it, but my address for some things, while he gets mail with my name but his address. However, some mail comes with the correct name and address on it. Now its time for me to renew, and they raised my monthly premiums by $15/month! With no explanation! I havent had a ticket, accident or anything. If anything, I am now older (in a different category now that insurances use) so I should be considered safer and nothing else has changed. I have been with American Family for years and years, but Im going to be looking around to compare prices, plans, and somewhere with better customer service and problem solving than the Rexburg office.*Disclaimer: Every office is owned by different owners, all under the name of American Family so this review in no way reflects experiences from other American Family offices. Wonderful agency to work with! They are super helpful, professional, and polite! I have never had any issues when calling for billing questions, quotes or even just general questions! They are fast to process all requests and return calls/voicemails. Please give them a call today if youre looking for home or causality insurance! They will not disappoint.

*****************PLEASE READ****************This company is horrible about answering phone calls, communication and informing you about your policy. I cancelled my account and it took them 2 months to cancel.in the 2 month period they was still pulling money out of my bank account. I had to call back and inform them my account wasnt cancelled. They informed me they could only backdate the cancellation 30 days. I had to call corporate to get things fixed. If you are going to do business with them do not get Brenda as a representative.

They have great friendly people to work with. Im very happy with my insurance. I would recommend American Family Insurance to anyone.

I got a call from someone after being in a finder bender and the lady was so incredibly rude to me, she told me this happened because i was a young person who was inexperienced and she also stated she was older than me and knew more what she was talking about then I would, and she also told me how horrible my driving was, she does not even know me!! after me confronting her for being rude to me she said, we will come after you and then hung up on me!! she hung up on me before i could get her name or even ask what was going on. I did not ask for her to yell at me for my driving. accidents happen and if an insurance agent can not understand that or talk and be polite then she should not have the job. It ruined my day I was furious that someone whose job is to talk someone through this process yelled and then hung up on me!! she made me feel terrible. I did not appreciate the service I received from this company.

Zach and his team were very helpful towards my husband and I for helping us figure out insurance for our very first time being a newly wed couple.

The staff was easy to talk to and work with especially Liz. She helped me get my quote going and was quick with calling me back !!
