Lost my brakes up in the mountains and rolled into Red Bluff. Called a few places but Frank’s was the only one who took the time to figure out how long the part would take to arrive, which was important info for me since I was holed up in a motel. Price was real reasonable. Got me back on the road ASSP once the part arrived. Definitely glad I picked this place.

I scheduled an appointment with Frank, to get my van fixed. Its leaking coolent to the rear heater core. Then I will have him replace the lower bushings. After 18 years, rubber rots and needs replacing.Update 1 month ago I took my 2002 Chrysler Town and Country to Franks Auto to get the front suspension rebuilt. All the rubber parts were rotten, He had me back on the road in 2 days. My van rides smother with no clunking, and it handles like new!Now tomorrow I get to take it for a fuel pump replacement! How fun! NOT ;)

Frank’s automotive is the best shop I’ve ever done business with and I felt like I was getting everything I needed and more. He is a good person and realistic and informative when it comes to your repairs. He knows how to lay out your best options and work with you on many different levels to make sure you get what you want and need and more. This guy knows what is important to his customers and will do everything in his ability to make sure you are satisfied with any service or repair. A very trustworthy and diligent businessman, this is the only shop I’ll take my cars to.

My husband kids and I were on a vacation towing our boat when his check engine light came on, we searched businesses and found Franks. We got so lucky, he was very knowledgeable and efficient and had fair pricing. I highly recommend him we got right back on the road and the truck runs great!

I came to Franks in a bind, with a rattling muffler from hitting tire debris on the highway. I was helped by none other than his dad, who also runs the attached tire place. He was incredibly helpful and generous with his time. He took a look under the car and gave me a proper assessment of the damage and what it would take to fix it when I got to my destination. He didnt upsell me or even insist on making the repairs himself. I felt that sense of relief that comes when you know you can simply trust. It was a brief interaction but it seems to square with many other reviews here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Visited.tire shop best deals in town always helpful since they opened

Ive been a customer of Franks for a few years now. His work is top notch and is super quick. His prices are cheapest in town but that doesnt mean that the quality of work is compromised in any way shape or form. He did a fuel pump on my car and I expected to not have it back for a day or so considering the amount of work he had before me but I got a call a few hours later telling me I was good to go. He is a genuine caring human being and always makes sure his customers are taken care of. I will continue to send all of my friends and family to Frank for anything Automotive, Diesel, UTV, ETC. Thank You Frank for being an honest and caring mechanic who puts his customers first!

Thank goodness for Frank and his team. My alternator was set to go out and I was 3+ hours from home with my entire GS troop, after 4pm. We were able to squeeze all the girls into the second car and got them back on the road within the hour. Meanwhile, Frank was good enough to deliver me to a nearby hotel while we waited on the part from Sacramento. His estimate of was spot on, and he was there in front of the hotel at 11am the next morning to pick me up. I cant thank him enough for being such a caring and compassionate business man.

This is the best shop in town. Frank is a honest and hardworking mechanic, he knows his stuff. I have taken my wifes car and my truck to him and he was able to find the problem and fix it and get it back to us in a few days with out breaking the bank.Just recently my dad drove cross country (2500 miles) and had an issue with his front end. Frank looked at it explained what the problem was. It went in on Monday and he got it back on the road in less than 48 hours. When my dad got it back he said that it felt like a new truck. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

While traveling fourth of July weekend my radiator went out pulling my fifth wheel. I got a hold of Frank and even though he was not at the shop he went to the shop checked on parts and was able to get me on the road even when every other shop was closing for the holiday. Frank went out of his way to help me in this situation.

Frank is the Best that there is in the game, I had a car that had a broken engine, and I sent it to frank to fix for me, and he doubled checked for any problems, and he found the solution to the situation. Frank did the job right. I came to him on a whim, with a list a mile long and with zero experience. Not only did he fit me in asap; he walked me through the ins and outs of what was wrong, gave me a solution, and a multitude of options and a play by play on how things could play out in the future, including what to look out for on my own. The man even corrected a mistake overlooked by another mechanic and spent an hour across town at a truck repair building me a custom temp sensor from scratch so my gauge would work again.I couldnt have been better off. Frank is the man !! A month ago I took my car to Steves auto repair in Anderson on hwy 273 he told me it was a catyletic converter on my 2007 Mazda 3 price 1,500 it wasnt even my converter that was the problem it was a lot of other problems but Frank was honest and did a great job its nice to know we still have people in this world like Frank I know for the 2pages of parts and labor it would of cost well into 3,000 and Frank did me right not to mention my car runs like its brand new so thank you Frank your my new mechanic

This review is long in coming. Thanksgiving of 2016 we had an alt. belt break on I-5. Long/short: Parts store referred us, AAA towed us, Frank opened, 15 min./$50 later, we were on our way. Also got to see his 60 Pontiac.

Frank is an Honest and Hardworking Mechanic, he is very knowledgeable and is a god send to weary travelers such as myself. Not many people are as vulnerable as people who are traveling, and in my time of need; when my car broke down, he was there to help. He even pointed out the shoddy work other mechanics had done. It was a Saturday early evening and my car battery connection cable had broke being a typical millennial I am had no idea what to do, so I call frank he came with in 30 minutes and fixed my car! I highly recommend this garage to anyone who has car issues.

On our way to Portland OR from LA our SUV started acting up, stopped by right before closing time and this guy name Frank, thank God he was there, took him just under 2 minutes to determine the air conditioner blew up but we could make it home to have it permanent fixed. My check engine light came on while travelling down from Oregon. I had 2 choices, drive back to my mechanic in Oregon and run the risk of severe damage, or find a local mechanic. I searched and found Franks Auto Service. I read the reviews, was impressed, so i called and set up an appointment.When I met Frank, I was more than impressed. His knowledge, honesty and sincere desire to do the right thing for his customer was overwhelmingly obvious. He did a diagnostic test and isolated the problem in 5 minutes. It turned out to be a bad coil. While inspecting, he also found another coil which was broken. He ordered the parts, did the repairs and I was back on my way home in a couple of hours. I must admit, when I am in situations like this, I usually make the worst decision possible. This time I hit a home run! From this day forward, no one touches my car except Frank. I am already starting a list of things I want done. If you need an honest, knowledgeable and competent mechanic, call Frank.Oh, by the way, my car ran like new AND the amount of fuel I used to return home was about half what it usually took. Frank is competent and courteous. He takes the time to listen and understand customer concerns and spends the effort to figure out the problem instead of just replacing parts indiscriminately. He allowed me to watch as he worked and explained the process of the diagnosis and repair in a way I could understand.

I was stranded in Red Bluff in my motor home. Frank was recommended by a local auto supply. I didn’t know him at all but he came out to the campsite, found out immediately what was wrong, drove to the auto supply to buy the part, came back to install it.
