My firearm was stolen from my vehicle. I usually take my firearm out of my car before dropping it off for any service. However, due to my long work hours I had my mother drop my car off and forgot to mention to her to take the gun out.My car was dropped off at 2pm for a simple alignment and supposed to be complete by the end of the day.Around 6pm Firestone called me saying another vehicle being serviced had a system glitch which caused it to be stuck in the the shop for hours. This was their reasoning for my car needing to stay over night.They called me at 12:30pm the next day saying my car was ready. I picked it up at 1pm and my firearm was missing. The manager Kyle checked with the technician who worked on my car and of course they said they had not seen a gun in my vehicle. I asked if there was a way to file a claim with Firestone for items coming up missing while in their possession. The manager said my only option was to file a police report.I have used this location plenty times when Bill was the previous manager. 2-3years ago they were much better staffed, more organized and certainly more trustworthy.

I had to wait a few days before I could get in on an appointment for an oil change. But when I got there they began the service promptly and the wait wasnt very long at all. Theyre short-staffed but still managed to get things done. Good job.

I book online for Sunday 9/26 @ 9 am, got the confirmation. Went to the shop and a note posted outside that the shop is only open from Monday to Saturday?? 😠 I even called no answer, the online status says open. Please update your online information.

Appointment at 2pm. At 2:40pm was advised the mechanic decided to go to lunch and it would be 20 minutes before they could get someone in to put the new tires on my car. Was told they always advise people to drop off cars rather than wait which wasnt true in my case.

Good service but theyre just more limited than the other shops on staff at the Raytown location. You probably would rather go to Independence or Lees Summit especially if you dont want to wait for an appointment or parts. The staff they do have is good.

We were traveling from the Black Hills of South Dakota and hit a giant pot hole just outside of Kansas City on a Sunday. We called around and this location had the tires that we needed.Kyle was super helpful in giving us directions, getting us in right away, keeping us company and keeping us updated on the car. Walked in to make a appointment on a thursday for Saturday to get a call that they could not help me and to change my appointment for next week I told the young man thursday I can only do weekends he gave me this story about a storage of tech in well am a customer we do not wish to hear why you could not help the customer thr young man did not try to accommodate me or anything for wasting my time here its about to be Saturday I have no oil change that was unacceptable and i would like upper management to know about this dont schedule a appointment if you can not fall thru people are busy with theres lifes also.. I’ve been using Firestone since I started driving, the company never lets me down. At this specific location I talked to James at the front desk. He is super polite and education on the mechanics. He even went above and beyond and gave me advice on what to do next when I found out I had a blown head gasket. Instead of charging me what I was expecting he undercut the price for me because of my current discovery of needing a new engine. Thanks James! #GreatService

Theyre willing to work with you when they have been fully booked. Currently short-staffed so expected a wait and didnt mind because my schedule allowed it. Jeff was very helpful in explaining options as it was my first flat and his team got it done a lot faster than expected on the same day. Everyone I have interacted with here has been very nice. I like the lot/location compared to other places in the area.

Unprofessionals who don’t value your time. If you make a reservation online and they are too busy, they just let you show up, wait in line for 15 minutes and then tell you they can’t do it. Instead of sending an email that it’s not going to happen they just wing it like most mechanics of this caliber do.

I had a slow leak in my tire and needed it repaired ASAP bc I commute everyday. Jeff at the front desk was very helpful, courteous and got me right in after a snow storm. There were a few people ahead of me so I understand the long wait time when coming without an appointment. I had to buy a new tire due to a long screw damaging my tire; it was $75 for the new tire which isn’t bad at all—just hope it lasts! Thanks Firestone!

Whenever I go there I end up paying for a lot more than what i thought I would have. I went in for a lube, oil and filter job and ended up paying for just under $1,000 in repairs.And, while the staff have always been very courteous, and helpful, this is rather tough to handle.If you are not car savvy how do you know if everything they say you need you truly need? They did say that they gave me a number of discounts, but, this took a big bite out of our budget.

UPDATE: The store manager did contact me the next day and apologized for my experience. He asked me if I could bring the car by so he could take a look at the tire. I did and within 30 mins he had it fixed. The issue was that the core of my valve got stuck when they checked the pressure so it let all the air out as a result. I still dont understand the reaction from the other person but the store manager Bill was great to work with and he addressed all my concerns. Thank you Bill!Beware. I took my vehicle in this morning (3/9/18) because a vibration coming from the rear of the vehicle when I accelerate. I paid $9.99 for the Car Care Package. The findings where that they recommended replacing at least 1 tire (Passenger Rear) because the thread was lower than the other three in addition to a battery replacement and a new front axle. I asked that the car be put back together so I can think about it and drove straight home. A few hours later when I was ready to leave the house I found the passenger rear tire completely flat. Timing is suspect not to mention the exact tire but I took it back in to have it look at. The gentlemen who talked me automatically dismissed as my fault and said he couldnt look at it. The tire was fine when I brought it in and after they recommended it be replace it goes flat. The timing is suspect and refusal to even look at it and dismissing as 100% the customers fault makes it look even worse. I cant prove anything it sure doesnt smell right.

Geoff was very rude to me the cause more problems to my car after bringing it in for a warrenty repair and then when I called and confront him he told me to go somewhere else if I didnt like it. Highly recommend avoiding this location, keep in mind I work for this company.

I have entrusted this facility for all of the maintenance & repairs on my Toyota for several years. Previously, I had all work done at a dealership. Firestone Raytown has saved me a lot of money compared to estimates Ive obtained at other Raytown like-businesses. They have been very fair with me price-wise as well as providing me with enough information to make my own decisions. Bill is very knowledgeable about what needs to be done, while being understanding & considerate of my budget. Bottom line is that I trust them, which is difficult to find these days, and believe their mechanics are excellent! Kudos to Brian today! I have been in their waiting area enough to see that they treat customers with respect & are very cordial to everyone no matter how busy they are! I would like to suggest that any poor reviews on this site may be from a competitor trying to hurt their business. Thanks, Guys, 5 stars from me!

Edit 10/19: this store used to be fantastic when Bill was the manager. Now Im not sure what the new manager Geoff is doing. 6 hours after I dropped off my vehicle for a tire rotation and an oil change (Maybe an hour of work), they hadnt called so I called and the new person said they wont be done with it tonight. I went and picked up my vehicle and everyone was confused. First, just tell me earlier so i can go somewhere else without you holding my car hostage. Second, dont complain about your short staffing. Thats not my fault. I requested the appointment online and the store approved it. They didnt have to and could have suggested another day. Thats how scheduling works. Approving it is accepting the expectation of completing the work by their triple promise : Fixed Right, Priced Right, Right on Time. I might be willing to give another location a chance but I cannot recommend this location. Geoff does not have control of his store. The nice gals there in the evening stated they would pass along my information because they couldnt figure out why a very simple job wasnt completed in the SEVEN hours they had my vehicle. Did anyone call? Of course not.5 Stars: I was a Firestone regular in my previous town for my Saab and got to know all the staff in the store. This was my first visit to the Raytown location and I will be returning. I made an appointment online for the B123 service for a Honda Civic. This is usually around 60k miles. [My last maintenance was the A2 service 10k miles ago at the Lawrence Firestone and they told me I did not need to get oil changes at a specific mileage frequency, and to just wait for the Honda service indicator.] I priced the service at my dealer and it was about $350. I called Firestone and it was more than $100 less, so I kept the appointment. I was in and out in about 90 minutes. Definitely returning. I find it helpful that the Firestone employees are aware of the Honda maintenance minders, since this is my first time having a newish car. this time I was prepared and asked specifically for the services I needed according to the maintenance minder, but last time I went into the Lawrence location the manager was able to explain it to me for future reference and what numbers and letters Id be seeing in the future and how Firestone is able to service those.

Overpriced and inefficient. Brought in a flat I had already taken off my vehicle that needed a patch. Took a day just to get it back. When I did, they just gave me the tire back and “didn’t have time” to swap it out with my spare. I can accept that if they didn’t charge $50 for it. I have taken my vehicle in to other places to get tires patched for $10 when they do all the labor in 15 minutes. Don’t waste your time and money

The reason I keep returning to the Firestone in Raytown is because of honest people like Jim. He is one of the stores best employees. And it is my hope that he is appreciated for his honesty and hard work. I am usually very distrusting when it comes to auto mechanics. It is for this reason that I have continually shopped around when it comes to my cars repair. But since finding the Firestone in Raytown, I have never gone anywhere else with my cars. Thank you!

The wait for a State Inspection was 2-3 hours, so I left. Parking was also pretty tight, and the location around 4pm was a nightware. Granted it was a couple days before Thanksgiving, but the next shop I tried down the road only had a 15 minute wait.

If I could leave zero stars I would have. I went in two weeks ago to get an oil change and a plug in my tire. Too easy right? Today my car was making a weird noise on the right side so I pulled over and looked underneath and my entire undercarriage was soaked in oil. I immediately took my car to the Firestone on Noland since it was closest to me. The mechanic there looked it over and it turns out that the employee at the Raytown location failed to tighten the drain plug. It was literally hanging on by 1 thread. This is a brand new vehicle that could have been totalled by this mistake since I drive over 80 miles a day for my job. The Manager at the Noland location said I was very lucky that I caught it before my car seized up, which would have cost upwards of 8500 to fix if I hadnt.I called the Raytown location and the manager said he would speak with the employee that changed my oil. I told him he can talk to me and I expect to be compensated. Not once did I get an explanation or an apology until I arrived at the Raytown location. With all the customers inside he suddenly was apologetic and refunded the lousy service done to my vehicle. I still havent heard anything from this morons boss. Shady as hell, and obviously have no idea what theyre doing. If you want an honest Firestone go to the one on Noland, they are amazing. Raytown is not.

Everyone here is lazy and they dont want to work, no matter what you need done they will have an excuse not to do it. I got new tires from here and they had my car for nearly 3 days and when I got my car back the tires were the wrong size and they were pulling my front end off my vehicle when I turned the wheels, and also I called to get an inspection and they tried to talk me out of it cause they were booked I offered to drop my car off and when I showed up they told me no.

Compared to the downtown KC location, Raytown Firestone is the Beyoncé of Firestones. I took my car in after the downtown location made me feel frustrated and not listened to. Raytown Firestone checked their work and worked on my car, I certainly left feeling piece of mind. I like being spoken to directly, my husband noticed that the downtown location spoke to him about my car, and thats really nice. Theyre great.

I went to get an oil changed and everything was normal. After the multipoint inspection of my car the majority of the checkmarks you could tell someone really didnt check. There are problems I know about the car that was checked ok. Then the service advisor had an extra paper explaining where an oil leak was present on my car but when I asked about it he said the mechanic just noticed oil on ground. Even though you can tell the mechanic knew the location of the leak the service advisor didnt want to give me this information for free. Then they tried to sell me tires, supposly one has a nail in it but i cant find one even though i did my own tire rotation.

The other day I went in to get my Saab aligned payed $100 in my Saab was pulling worse than when it went into the shop to the opposite went back and they said they had aligned it everything was correct but they would check it out then the second time they came back and said this time they cannot align it because thay could not get a bolt loose would not recommend to know one incompetent mechanics dishonest my car still does not pull right paid for a year alignment unhappy with my service beyond believe worst experience Ive ever had from a shop
