Took my car to them to fix a power steering fluid leak. They said they had to replace the whole rack and pinion, suspension among a few other things that was over $1000 at one time. Got my car back it’s wasn’t the same or driving right. The wheel alignment they did was terrible. So I told them an took the car back they say they need to fix front hub assembly among other things so this time I pay over $800. And my car STILL didn’t drive the same, and a WEEK later my car COMPLETELY stopped on me in a store parking lot just gave ALL the way out. Thank god I got triple A. All that money I spent to them was for NOTHING. They did something to my car I know they did, but they’ll never admit it. Only thing that was ever truly wrong with my car was it had a power steering fluid leak. All that extra stuff they added on just to get money out of me. In the end I had to junk my car talk about hurt. I’ll never in life go to them again or recommend them again. And I’ll be contacting cooperate, and bbb.
Took car to get inspection and dropped off for next day. And then get a call they could not do inspection or other jobs I ask for got the feeling did not want to work on my car. Then I picked up car and called 2 days later to get inspection and was told they would not get to it. So now I have to schedule inspection with another shop. Some of us work and it is not convenient to drop off vehicle and dont have a ride so very inconvenient shop.
Im writing another review because there is more too it; not only did they make my cars cooling worse but it now has had its head gasket blown. The mechanic literally told me its not going to over heat. If it signals that its hot dont worry about it cause that component isnt working but you dont have to worry about it till later. 15 minutes later my truck is useless. I need a refund and money from this company for trashing my truck
My trucks over heating sign goes on Wednesday. I leave the truck with them that night. They tell me that it’s a bad water pump and thermostat. They do the fix and I pick truck up Thursday and seems fine. Friday morning overheating alarm comes up again. I take it in again. They tell me it’s that the water pump that was installed was faulty. They put in a new one and tell me there is one thing that I could fix later but everything should be fine. I leave and 15 minutes later smoke is spilling out from my hood, coolant is every where and my engine is stalling. I have contacted corporate and I hope they do the right thing and give me a refund cause if anything they made my truck worse......
Took my daughter’s car in to this business on Monday, 8/30/21 for lights on the dash. They performed diagnostic and decided that front left bearing needed replaced. Almost $600. Completed that. Took full day. Came back to pick up and started leaving, same lights came back on, on the dash. Brought it back in and determined that front left shaft axle needed replacing too. Another $300+. Finally got my car back Wednesday afternoon 9/1/21. $935 later.
Got a new muffler installed. Wait time in lobby could have been shorter since they had a sign on the door only so many people in at once and I waited outside as others ignored the sign. Employees didnt enforce their policy so about four people went in front of me. Thats my fault...but, also theirs. Good thing I called they got me in that day and replaced my muffler. But vehicle driven less than 5000 mi and one of the welding tacks comes off.. Little too soon too soon to repair.... Again. Color me irritated. At least this time Ill know about ignoring their sign as they do. I am posting a picture of the work*less than a year old*
I will never take any of my vehicles to calvers they took our money and gave us a broken down vehicle. It ran before we took it but not afterword. Bad bad bad
For four years, I have always had my oil change at this location. Then yesterday I called asking if I could bring my car, I was told to come. I get there, they tell me they are only accepting drop offs. They also do not know who answered the phone and asked me to come. Even after showing them their number on my phone as evidence that I did call less than an hour ago. Well, I will take my car elsewhere. Thank you for letting me know you do not need me as a customer.
They did a great job on the breaks... a bit over priced, went in at 7:30 am they were done by 1:30 pm. It was good that I had a ride to work so I didnt miss my money to pay for the service. Please hire more mechanics.
They have the worse service ever I never got a chance to get my service done they lied to me about what time they stopped taking service and dont have alot of workers all they say is drop your car off

Used Calverts at a different location, Service was fair to say the best. I stopped at Calverts Raytown with a low tire simply to get air in a tire. The service writer said we could not use their air hose. I asked for her to check with the Shop. The shop manager said they could write a service ticket and we could wait for them to complete all of their other work, then they could air my tire for a fee. Customer Service 0 Stars!

Heaven Sent! I was stranded with a flat a couple Fridays ago and they helped me FREE OF CHARGE! GOOD PEOPLE STILL EXIST ☺️❤️
I brought a tire in off my trailer because the valve stem was leaking and I needed a new one put in. Is they charged $26 just to put in a valve stem. I believe this is highway robbery. I was in a bind so I would pay whatever to get back on the road with the trailer. This is a place I will never set foot in again. Usually a valve stem is $3 labor is about $6.
There Service is excellent and they get you in and out fast
I fell they take a very long time for simple repairs, and fixings. Also they advised that I needed new rotors, I chose not to get the work done due to the length of time I waited. I took my car to someone else and was advised my rotors were in perfect condition. That did not leave a good thought in my head about the service from calverts.
Would definitely not ever recommend. They are super unprofessional. Busted a brake line on the car they were repairing and blamed it on us. Let us LEAVE the shop. Almost got into a wreck and died because the car wouldn’t stop. Had to get it towed up there and have them fix what they messed up and pay another 400 after they got paid 300 the day before. Then the “district manager” tried to say we were also liable when I know the man I spoke to was NOT the district manager. Just avoid this place. Never been to a place that was so horrible. DONT EVER GO HERE!!!
Will never ever bring my vehicle back.... oil change but wrong oil was put in... came out all over the place... instead of 5w20 conventional they used 5w30 synthetic on a 2009 tarus... then tried to cover it up saying it is my valve cover gasket seriously... left there went to Goodyear got all the oil cleaned up n guess what... NO LEAKS ... Calvert never again
The receptionist Victoria was AMAZING. She provided great customer service. The managers... not so much. I left my car for an entire weekend. I called and reminded them about my tail light being out. When I showed up, they forgot to fix that. No big deal.. however I had to wait 30 minutes, and when it was time to pay their internet was down. Neither the manager RJ or the district manager who happened to be in office bothered to come out and talk to me. I was late to work. The prices are pretty high for them to not have working internet. If it weren’t for the receptionist I would have been displeased. They did get the work done though so I am happy about that, the managers could have just been more polite.
The front desk person was really nice and fast, new what she was doing. As far as the guys that work there okay. They are fast in quality as for attitude no!!.

Brought my car in for a oil pressure sensor, first they called and said they ordered the wrong part so it wouldnt be fixed til the next day. Then I pick my car up to find out they didnt fix the right part...shop manager said he would take car of it but the technician wasnt happy about it. Long story short my car left in worse condition than I brought it...I will never go back and if you love your car I wouldnt bother

The only thing I found unacceptable is dropping my car off most customer wants to stay and see whats going on with there own vehicle need some changes with that one but other wise good job.
These guys honestly surprised me with there honesty and quickness told me my car was fine and sent me on my way saved me a bunch of money when they could just taken it will be coming back in the future
They are great, I bought a starter, and Calverts put it in, a few months later the starter failed, it was a faulty starter, Calverts gladly said your starter is still under warranty will replace it for you no problems!! Did it the same day!! Great trustworthy and affordable auto repair!!

I love Calverts....they ran a diagnostic, didnt charge me for it, because I kind of knew what was wrong but we wanted to make sure. They only charged me for the repair of the sensor + labor. I always go to Calverts for maintenance (oil changes, alignments, rotating tires), now I know I can count on them for bigger problems

I had to take my truck into the Raytown location to get a fuel leak fixed . within a couple of hours they quoted me a price which ended up being under the national average . But more importantly they got my truck fixed right.... and Im very happy I got to go get my truck the same day and drive it home Im very pleased with the service I got from this company .

Overcharge for loss of radiator fluid (added a plug that I could’ve used a Lego cap to plug it). Did not perform the diagnostic as intended then later came back and charged an additional $50 for radiator cap. Total charge $230 for less than $100 Worth of service. I know businesses are desperate in this time but don’t screw your customers that support you.
We moved to Raytown recently and we’re skeptical of anything compared to what we always had in Warrensburg. But, the individuals here are absolutely phenomenal. They truly care about their clients, not just the money. They care about their work, and it shows.They are honest people that do great work. I went in to have my front passenger tire repaired. They repaired the rear passenger tire which I never had any problem with. I went in because I had been having to air up the front passenger tire for a couple weeks. Yet they assured me that there was nothing wrong with the front passenger tire. I was there for two hours only for them to try to say that Im crazy?

Not good!I went to have shocks put on. I called before i went, was told the werent busy. So i arrived. Get inside where there is a young lady at the front desk. I want to speak with the mechanic which was on five ft away on the other side of the door. She had to 🏃 run in & out over 15 time relaying messages to someone who was 5 ft away! It was very unprofessional from all angles. Especially when you have someone wanting to spend money at your establishment. It got so frustrating, i desided to take my business, & money elsewhere. When youre about to spend your hard earned money with people who act as if your money is no good, & they can take you or leave you. I would rather be left, so thats exactly what i did!!

They charge too much to fix your car
They start out good until they look at your car and turn into salesmen and run up your tab instead of doing it out of the love of working on cars that they originally got into the business for in the first place. Loyalty and trust go such a long way and finding a Jedi auto mechanic these days are few and far between. Could of just helped me get back on the road this time and started a good business relationship but instead went for the long ball and wanted me to throw down $500 in one sum. All Im saying is it could of been bandaged for now until i could come up with that money and not tried to gouge all at once. Bad business to me.

A lot of bull they tell you one thing in the phone you get up there. Thats totally different explanation for what they said to you and what they need to charge you. Let me know before I come up there all your trickery that way I aint got to waste my damn time coming.

I took my Car for a oil change and they told me all these other things that were wrong with it. A few days later my Car stopped working. Everyone I know who has went there had this same problem so either there are doing something to your vehicle to cause problems, thinking this will cause you to have to come back to them. So be careful y’all they scammers.
Great service! they always call and give Options, I like options! There are lower cost options out there, but you get what you pay for. They always come in under the estimate and get us back on the road quick... most the cars in the family go to calverts
If you dont know anything about cars do not go to this place. They may do great work but they will charge you way too much to get it done. They were going to charge me over $500 to get my rotors replaced (just the front two) . I went some where else and I paid $120 total. Calverts on 350 hwy had great customer service but they will try and scam you in the process.
Even after the reviews I’ll still be there in the morning to get a quote on my brakes and rotors. I don’t go off reviews that’s just absurd.
Went to get a tire patched and they put in a plug and the worst thing didnt even fill my tire back up with air 34 dollars for 5 mins rip off. Wont go back.
What to say... The people here are amazing. I was tight on funds and needed my radiator replaced. They helped me with the costs without batting an eye. Truly remarkable, kind people.

5/6/2019I went in for a simple tire repair with my personal tire insurance that covers ALL tire repairs at any repair shop. I walked in and spoke with Johnny, the on-site manager and HE GUARANTEED me that my coverage would not cover putting a plug in my tire without even looking at my paperwork into my coverage or exhibiting a bit of customer service. I would not want ANYONE working on my car that can GUARANTEE something without even knowing what coverage I have. I would give Johnny negative stars if I could because after I called my coverage provider to ensure that they do if fact cover any and all tire related repairs and they confirmed that they do cover any and all repairs at any repair shop of my choosing, I called Johnny at Calverts Express to let him know that his GUARANTEES are inaccurate for future customers sake, HE GAVE ME AN ATTITUDE and TOLD ME HES BEEN DOING THIS HIS ENTIRE LIFE, AND HE KNOWS HIS BUISNESS. Apparently not, sir, and I hope you exhibit better customer service for future customers because I or anyone I know WILL NOT be one of them.

When I dropped my car off I was told it would be done in 3 hours. I called back to check on my car and was told they were not gonna be able to get to my car that day and I had to wait until the next day. They then quoted me over a thousand dollars for a repair that I was quoted 300 dollars elsewhere to have done. I told them I did not want to move forward with any work and they had already done service on my car without my permission. I then had to wait for them to undue this so I could pay 80 dollars to have nothing done to my car at all and take my car home.
Went there on 5/1 they did a diagnostic on car with no print out so I could see, told me what I needed. Work was done poorly car repeatedly working same went back and was told couldnt be helped that day so I paid to get to work for the next week. Went on 5/9.and light for low pressure on tires was on for all I went through you would have thought they would have checked. No way and corporate is no better tell you a boat load of lies.

I took my car for coolant fluid leak. Jeremy the service manager told me that is of some hoses. He overcharged for a work that did not fix the leak. He is a piece of work lier. Don’t take your car to Calvert. They are cheaters and the most dishonest auto shop in metro area.

Grossly overcharged for unsafe work! I paid $935+ For a fuel pump, that I was quoted would cost about $600. We were from out of town on Vacation, and they knew it, totally took advantage of us and our situation. And to make it worse they put it in so poorly our fuel was leaking on to our exhaust pipe. Insanely dangerous! And the owner did nothing, now he wont even take my calls, or messages. Terrible work, terrible communication, terrible service from the front office all the way to the shop. Just look at all the bland unspecific 5* reviews from a Google user tells you all you need to know. Any person with a real name here hated their experience at this place! Beware!!! Read all the specific complaints, its obvious what is going on at this shop.

My experience was fine. I got my car checked before i went here and went to Calverts for a second opinion and sure enough the information was the same as the other place. I got my car fixed here and my car works better. Just wanted to add if you go here saturday expect a long wait unless u come early or drop your car off. I am satisfied with the service that was provided to me i am giving 4 stars 1 star less because of the long wait. Thanks again

I been going here since 2016 wouldnt go anywhere else. Had to take car to Mazda dealer to update my something but they gave me a list of things that needed to be done took that list right to Calverts on 350 highway. Dont trust nobody with Barbie or M5 😂
Went to get oil changed asked a feet cover be placed on floor, not done, watching and saw worker get a tool that didnt look like oil changing tool. I yell out of door to ask what was he doing to my car, the manager step in and we had a conversation about how i got workers attention. I told him i saw the worker had a tool that did not look right to do a oil change.The manager said he is doing a your oil change and went back to smoking and customer service staff is telling customers a oil change will take 1hr to a 1.30hr.

Needing car repairs. Older vehicle. Another well known car service was quoting me a higher price for service. Within a couple of months my car has been serviced by Calverts Express. Im well satisfied with the maintenance work that was done by Mike & his staff. Thank you for being there when my car was in need.
Came to get an oil chane at Express on 350 Hwy. CLAY is very professional and does a great job. I never feel like thay are trying to get over. I recommend you use this particular location if you want excellent service.
Very friendly and effiecient. They said it would take about and hour and a half or more for service but was really only an hour (on a weekend). Honored my coupon and gave me a free quote for brakes and tires. Will definetly go back there for future services.
DONT bring your car to this shady place. I dont know if it was intentionally or because of incompetence, but my car ended up in worse condition everytime I went to pick it up all 3 times.I spent well over $1,000 trying to figure out why my car keep overheating. I bought a new radiator, water pump, thermostat. Come to find out my head gaskets were cracked and the guy that found it said most people who change the water pump never check the head gaskets and in end up messing them up. I put all this money into my car and now my motor is bad, now I have to get rid of my car, and sell it for pennies for what I spent on. NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE, TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Overall terrible. I hear nothing but bad about all locations. They offer cheap prices for bad work from underpaid mechanics. We were desperate and went to check out their $60 alignment, we were told that they do a free inspection and during this free inspection if they happen to accidentally break anything on our car and cant complete the alignment and dont pay for it then we will still be charged $40 for the free inspection because it takes so long to do..........what????? So glad we didnt get any work done. Have heard terrifying stories from people that have been on and worked on the inside. Even if you dont know anything about mechanics do not go here. Anywhere else is better than a Calverts.

Nothing about this place is goodMy car was overheating they replaced the timing cover radiator and some hoses 1200 dollars worth of work.. and 3 days later Im broke down on the hwy have to pay for a tow for them to tell me its my engine.. they need 3000 to fix it... my cars engine light had never ever come on till after they worked on it..My attorney will be calling your district manager,,.
Calvert Express provided great car service to me . The people are very nice and friendly. I had my breaks looked at, at no charge . If something is wrong with your brakes they will inform you and let you know the price .That way you can make the decision if you want that service done . If you need a tire put on make sure it’s new and still have the sticker on it, if not you will need to take your car to a used tire place or buy a new tire .
They have replaced their chairs in the customer area. Good diagnostic skills still. Been here for 3 years so far and like them still.
Got the brakes repaired on the company suv today. I was there for 73min and saved $200 off dealer price. Mechanic gave me good advice on some future repairs to save money. Like the Terminator I’ll be back!

Had the worst experience ever this morning, I went in for a oil change they changed my oil I get my receipt get in my car to leave my car still says low washer fluid, but on the receipt it said fluids where checked but no one tooked the time to tell me it was extra to top them off and did I want them done, that was horrible all you had to do was asked while you had it open so I had to wait in line again for them to do something they should have done in the beginning I didn’t feel valued I felt like they were just rushing people outta there and half doing their job, the young lady at the front desk was very sweet but I will never go back there again I wasted to much of my time there . I wouldn’t recommend anybody there because I don’t appreciate the half done service.
Mission Accomplished after leaving Calverts Express the other day. I wanted to see if my experience would be the same as everyone else, so I waited to right my review after I read through the current ones. But I actually enjoyed my time and got what I went there for.They updated me on the maintenance of my car, provided me with an estimate, and I left with information that other shops didnt tell me. Plus they got me in for an inspection with 15 minutes of me arriving on a Friday. Five Stars it is.Edit: originally it was five stars but I had to change it to two. After mentioning the problems I was having with my tires - they gave me a list of five different problems my car was having. We started off with the first repair, costing $800. This was a repair that would fix the problem entirely, but the other four repairs were for “upkeep”. I drove off the lot and the problem remained. I went back to the shop and had another mechanic hop in the car with me to listen to my problem - he mentions the rotors may need to be replaced. We go back to the shop - he flips my rotors and the problem was solved. Needless to say I was upset. The $800 repair was pointless and I took a huge lost because of it.Recommendation: If they don’t ask for a test drive - YOU need to ask them to test drive the car.
I went there two days ago.. my service was exceptionally one of the best I ever Had!!they took the time to take me to the car and explain all safety issues with my car and gave me a detail list of needed repairs to keep safe. every one of them was shown to me and they beat all prices out of the water. very fair and pleasant to deal with.
