Best customer service ever! Everyone in this store is so kind I have an amazing experience every time I go there!
My old modem broke. They replaced it. Its more expensive than buying 3rd party, but they support it. However, the store was friendly, relatively efficient, clean, and got the job done. They could log into my account, registered the device with the MAC address and all that stuff, and the device they handed over worked as soon as I plugged it in.
I am NOT a fan of Cox as a company due to their overall service, pricing, policies, etc. However, I have been to the RSM location twice now and received excellent customer service. Adam E was fast friendly and knowledgeable!
I was originally satisfied with Cox service. They offered a package where I $pay $10 for 4 premium channel packages. I accepted the promotion.Since the I’ve watched my bill gradually go up little by little. $20 more later and bound for an additional 7 months to n this contract.Cox is a nickel and dime type company.
Im not happy with their service at all. As COX promotion to sign up for 12 months and get the first month free, they had charged me for two months and after 6-7 Hours call and chat with them they couldnt find the problem, and they gave me another Phone number which I was on the hold for two hours, and I decided to go to the store. I was told by an associate that I have to call the sales department.COX IS NOT HONEST INTERNET PROVIDER.
The worst ISP ever!!
I wish there was another option, dealing with them is a pain and they dont care.
Had to write a review to hopefully bring the rating up. All these 1 star reviews are saying negative things about Cox as an internet provider and not this particular location and how it treats customers. Ive been to this location and had no issues. Staff is helpful and quick about getting me set up with what I need. I recommend coming here.
Customer service was excellently provided by Jesus. Brought me up to speed, work out my cable and internet issues, and making sure I was appropriately aware of the different services that they offer.
Slow and tedious but got our changes accomplished.
If it was possible to give them a negative score, I would! We moved and I called prior to the closing of the new house, for transfer of service. They gave me a confirmation number already with the set time and date that they were going to be there at the new house. Guess what? Nobody showed up. So I called, only to find out that, the appointment was not confirmed. The reason was I didnt go through the verification process. Dumb! Dumber! Dumbest! How can you confirm 1st without verifying???? Duh! So backward! I have never heard of anything like this. Worst of it all, when I talked to the supervisor, she pretended to be nice and so understanding of the situation. As I was waiting for the line for the verification process, she was talking to someone and I could hear her more than the patch up call for the verification process. And she just made it worst, coz she was talking to the other person about me as if I was dumb or just hesitant to go through the verification process. Poor customer service!
Mo was professional and helpful. If Cox is the only game in your neighborhood, not much the reps can do. Bad karma for Cox if they dont treat you right.
Terrible customer service and terrible pricing.
Went to this local Cox Store to exchange some equipment that was upgraded. The rep, (Mohamid) was amazing. We reviewed my account, he saw a device that wasnt being utilized and saved me a few dollars which helped a lot.
They provide very bad Internet connection. I do not recommend anyone👎
Yes, there were technical problems, and yes, I had to chat with a support person three times. But everybody was extremely friendly, from the sales staff to the support chatters to the technician who finally came to the house (promptly) and resolved the problem.I dont get why Cox has such a bad Internet reputation. Either they really have made an effort in the last few months, or most of the naggers are technical dummies.
I cant stand Cox! I went there to cancel my service. AT&T gave me the same service for 50% less.
Like all internet providers, they take advantage. Cant wait for google fiber to rip these guys a new one
This is the worst internet provider, period. The representatives are extremely rude and they would over-charge you in any way they can find. Whatever you do, even if you have to pay more, AVOID THIS INTERNET PROVIDER for you own good.
As with any company if you have problems keep calling and requesting to fix and refund. I have very few issues and when I have my constant immediate calls pay off. At least I can talk to a human quickly unlike other service providers.
We have had this service for over 20 years and have been satisfied with the service. Thank you, Cox, for being so helpful when needed.
Out of nature MISERABLE people write bad one star reviews. I have been to this store several times and have never had a problem. At the store today Aya El-Hajilbrahim was over the top with her help. My one question led to many answers and a sale that I was more than happy to give. Thank You Aya
I only use Cox for internet service, which is generally fast and reliable. Most of the time everything works well but their web site and customer service really stink. God help you if you have any problems logging into your account--be prepared for tech support to ignore questions about whether youre using the right login and spend 15 minutes fruitlessly making you try different browsers, deleting cookies, looking for a PIN number on the bill you cant access because you cant log in, etc.
Watch your monthly bill. The in-store representative applied the wrong package to my account and my bill was 40% higher than advertised! Called customer care and resolved. Stay away from this store!
I have been trying to change my internet speed since January and no one will call me back to help me. My account manager is Jimmy Silverstein and he keeps telling me he will draft up paperwork that day for me but never do. Every time I call it goes straight to voicemail! Its just ridiculous.
0 star if there was an option. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ZERO IN THIS STORE. STAY AWAY FROM AYA THE COX SOLUTION SPECIALIST (YEAH SPECIALIST YOU CALL IT). SHE HAS NO RESPECT TO CUSTOMER WHATSOEVER.Yes, I was told by cox customer service on the phone to drive to cox store so I could have a better deal in there. I went there and i was the 2nd person in line. On our turn, Aya, the so-called Solution Specialist, approached us and took us to a desk. I told her that my partners contract is ending tomorrow and we talked to the customer service that we are going to cancel and put the contract on my name. She just turned to us and said this is account assumption and it is against our policy! I said what do you mean by POLICY! I said I already talked to guys on the phone and they were doing it for me. BY THE FACT THAT THERE IS NO ONE ABOVE THE LOYALTY DEPARTMENT IN COX AND THEY SUGGESTED ME TO TRANSFER THE SERVICE FROM MY PARTNER TO ME TO AVOID PAYING THE INSTALLATION FEE OF $75. AND NOW THIS Aya is telling me it is against their policy and she cannot do it. She said let me get my manager because I am not going to do this. I told her to get him right now. She left the desk and I said to her if this does not work, we will cancel my partners contract and then I sign up as a new customer. She rudley turned her face to me and said in my face in front of other customer that yes I can cancel it and then you can call customer service to setup the service for you!!. This was outrageous and I told her that no, I am here in the store and you need to do it here. She opened the back door to get her manager and she said NO I AM NOT GOING TO DO IT FOR YOU. WOW, IS THIS THE BIG CORPORATE COX REPRESENTATIVE?!! This just made me off the hook. How do you dare to say this to a loyal customer (over 10 years)? You are paid to take care of customers. Customer comes first everywhere. I dont know why cox have this kind of employee in a face to face and in retail store if they have attitudes and they are not trained to deal with customer nicely.Anyway the manage guy comes and it is obvious that he does not have that much power against his specialist, Aya ( I did not know her name until the end. Keep reading until the point that I looked at her badge), and he asked for my address. I gave him the address and then he gives me a full price on the service i asked for which was $85. I said Are you sure that you are considering me as a new customer and not as current customer? He said yes and this the price for new customer. At this point, i said to him that I will go and check other cox store and I hope that they tell me the same price, otherwise I am going to complain about you. Then I looked at her badge to see her name and I said ok her name is Aya? While she was helping another customer, she turned her face to me and in front of everyone told me hey here, here is my card if you want my name. I hope she will get a lesson soon from the upper management to not to be rude to customers and have a little bit of respect. Finally we signed up with $50 service somewhere else. One more time PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COX STORE SPECIALLY THE SPECIALIST GIRL, Aya!!!!I already gave my feedback to cox customer service and hopefully they do something about this.
Always ask to see what plan they are giving you in writing. Visiting this location, they changed my plan adding a phone line and saying it was $10 cheaper with a deal. Little did I know, they lowered my internet data without informing me. Not only that, they signed me in for a 2 year contract without informing me there was such a contract the terms saying it was free of charge. If you work with a Mosolima, do not work with him. Had to call Cox Support and get all of this taken care of.Huge shout out to the support center for taking care of my concerns and getting the account back to the original requests. Cant express how thankful I am for that support.
Have called the store several times now but no answer. The phone just rings until it disconnects automatically. This is a communications company?
Very curtious. Listened to what are questions and concerns were and gave us options.
I was a Cox customer many years ago and had no complaints. I just moved to OC from San Diego and will be a Cox customer again. At least a HSI customer. After reading some of these reviews I would have sworn I was reading reviews of Time Warner Cable. I assure you that Time Warner is as bad if not worse than Cox. They were so bad that they are now advertising that they have improved. I really doubt if that is true.
It seems to me that Cox rolls out products that are not fully tested. Contour definitely has given me more grief than what its advertised by Cox. It is not worth the high $$$ I pay every month. Cox customer service has detoriated over the years - it is now below ground level at best. I am now shopping around for a new provider after 30 years with them. I have Charter Cable in my other house in Riverside and have had no issues with their equipment and cable tv/internet/phone services. Does anyone know when Charter will start offering their services in the 92688 area?
Internet is FAST and reliable. TV is still way better than DirecTV
The good:1. Internet speeds are very good with the preferred package (25 Mbps down, 5 Mbps up).2. I rarely lose internet service. The bad:1. Terrible customer service2. Unreliable tech support3. They have a cable internet monopoly in our area and dont seem to care about customer satisfaction.4. Incessantly spams their existing customers for up-sells5. Expensive6. Rates have gone up 5-7% every year for the past several years for the same service.I had a DOCSIS 2.0 modem for years. After several spam emails from Cox offering to sell me one of their DOCSIS 3.0 modems, I bought one on Amazon and replaced it myself in a few minutes. It took 3 hours for Cox to get the modem registered on their end and to get my internet connection back. The tech support rep was rude and was clearly unfamiliar with common computer networking terms like Ethernet cable or a well known equipment manufacturer. She questioned the make and model of my modem twice, D-Link? Are you sure?! Can you spell it?. You might not want to be working at an internet service provider with that lack of basic knowledge. On the aggressive marketing front, I get flyers in the mail at least once a week (with envelopes marked important customer information that contain only junk mail) and frequent phone calls trying to get me to give them more of my money for services I dont need. I have tried telling them nicely that I am not interested in phone or TV and to stop the unsolicited sales calls. They either dont take note of my request or they dont care and the calls continue. At one point they were calling 3 or 4 times a day, never leaving a message (I hate that!). I Google search the number on caller ID to see it is Cox. I then add the number to my DO NOT ANSWER contact that goes straight to voicemail. Cox figures it out after a week or two and calls me from another number. Rinse and repeat.Cox isnt as bad as Comcast, but I would drop them in a heartbeat if Verizon Fios or Google fiber becomes available in our area.
Have had three in store experiences and all were 5 star service. Thank you.
Super quick and very helpful.
Need a question answered? Cant find the answer on the web? Give them a call, you will be directed back to the web as your only option.
I absolutely hate cox. i had time warner for 3 yrs and hated them too but cox is makin time warner look great. (i think they are partners too) they are constantly a hassle and they are THE WORST with hidden fees and customer service. and just an added note, i hate talkin on the phone.first call to cox was to find out their deals and set up an appointment for installation.second call was for trying to figure out where the cable guy was after takin a day off of work. they said he was running late. ya thanks for the heads up.third call was to reschedule the appointment because he never showed up.fourth call was after the cable guy had left. they gave me the basic box instead of dvr. when i had talked to them about this, the guy specifically said oh you are right, you did order a dvr box. but the only option was to either wait the next day for them to ship it to me or go to the store and pick it up myself. due to the inconvenience, they gave me a small discount. ($5 off for 6 months)fifth call was because they sent me the same basic box that i had!!!!!!! so two weeks later and i still cant record anything. i ended up just pickin up the box...sixth call was for a bill that was twice as much as what i had agreed on. they added the installation fee which was supposed to be free with the promotion i had signed up for, there was a monthly modem fee which didnt make sense since i am usin my own modem, and a dvr fee that they did partially inform me of but left out other dvr charges. lastly, the small discount from the fourth call? ya they didnt put that in the system.seventh call was due the fact that they did not update any of the extra charges after 48 hrs so i had to live through sixth call all over again since nothing was inputted in the system.the eighth and last call (for now) was because my bill online looks ABOUT right but when you click on details everything is the same as the first bill and cox has certainly showed me that i cannot trust them. so until they are able to show me exactly what i am bein billed for, i am going to be a disgruntled cox customer.although the operators have been pretty nice considering the fact that i have been an angry customer, their service portion is horrendous. its as if they just sit there and tell me what i want to hear but not do what they say they are going to do. btw did i mention i hate talkin on the phone?
I DONT KNOW IF BBB OR FCC WILL THE PLACE TO COPLAIN AGENST COX?. HOW EVER IN MY OPINION IT IS TIME SOME LEGAL ACTION TO BE TAKEN AGAINST COX!IT IS HEORRIBLE AND NIGHTMARE TO WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE OVER PRICE AND SO MENY HIDDEN CHARGES THAT MAKES NO SENCE AND WHEN YOU CALL TO FIND OUT WHAT IS THIS?, THEY TWIST THE WORDS SO MENY WAYS AROUND THAT THE SUJECT WILLBE LOST IN THE CONVERSATION AND AT LAST YOU WILL GIVE UP. I AM WONDERING WHY STILL SUCH AWFUL COMPANY IS OPERATING WITH THIS KIND OF SERVICE AND YET THERE IS NO LEGAL ACTION HAS BEEN OR WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST.
Every month there is some hidden charges on my bill, realy bad,I wanted to have a faster internet service, so i called and after 25 minutes on the phone they told me my bill is going to be 2-3 dollars more,i was happy.next bill arrived and bill was $28 more,so i called again, they said sorry we will fix it.i got my bill today same charges,i was on the phone more than an hour, they said there is no record of that conversation,i was so mad and asked them to cancel my contaract, they told me there is a fee for early termination, how can they do it?i didn`t sign a contarct, no signature,.they charge people too much, bad customer service, shame on cox, you lost a long time customer after 13 years.
If I could give negative stars I would. The customer service is laughable and the installation is worse. They broke my tv (3yrs old) upon install and claimed that it was just an old tv. It took them 4 attempts to just actually show up for the install, of course litteraly blamed me for the errors. I was forced to use them from the location of my condo :/ I hate hate hate Cox communications.
Cox is absolutely REDICULOUS. They are over-priced, and have absolutely HORRIBLE business practices. I am so sick of dealing with them -- but as someone already said they are a monopoly, and if you want internet or cable in OC you are STUCK WITH THESE REDICULOUS PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!You can never call them, they always have to transfer you to a different department, your bill is constantly changing and they simply do not care.I am incredibly sick of giving them money, but as now I have moved and my roomates are now demanding internet service I am forced to yet again, fork over my HARD EARNED cash. I feel sorry for anyone that works there that has to listen to people constantly complaining about them.
Couldnt help answer simple questions.
Very helpful staff, nice clean place.
Very poor. I have had issues from the start.
Extremely bad service and worst part of it they have MONOPOLY in this area. Hope someday we have a choice.
Had to call in today because one of their associates told me to. The guy on the phone called his buddy a liar and suggested I should cancel my service and that customer service can help me with that. This place sucks. There is a reason why there are new people in there every time I go in. 0 stars if I could.
First of all, whenever I call them Im on hold for 45 minutes. Then when I actually get somebody on the phone I get the run around. One day I hear that I can have my bill lowered if I call only after the promotion period ends, then when I finally do get somebody on the phone after calling 3 times and waiting an hour they play hardball and say your stuck because were a monopoly. I hate hate hate Cox Communications, but there is no other choice.
Very good
Poor service in every way
Ok
