Oh my goodness! What a wonderful time I had! All of the workers were so kind and helpful. I drove 2hrs to get here and it was so worth the drive. The trail was exciting with ups and downs on the pathway and even little tiny water pools. I definitely recommend going to this hidden gem. Can’t wait to schedule another ride! Thank you to everyone that made my adventure so enjoyable.
From my phone call until I walked away... this Farm, my experience was EXCELLENT!!!💥 THE CUSTOM SERVICE IS THE BEST. My daughters and I had the best day trip here on yesterday. The horses are ABSOLUTELY beautiful and the trail was EVERYTHING! Im over 300lbs and they made me feel welcomed just as their next rider! I RECOMMEND this place for any beginners and or folk under 450lbs. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. NO COMPLAINTS! ...and the tour guides 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 most humbling!
AMAZING CAMP!! We will definitely return next year. My 10 year old asked to GET UP EARLY and be picked up late so she could spend more time there with the friends she made. Besides the horse experience - riding skills, trail riding, learning how to take care of the horses, they had so much to do to entertain the kids - playground, crafts, movies, games. Incredible experience. She asked to go for two weeks next year :) So much more to offer than other horse camps we tried. Would definitely return and recommend to others. Thanks to all at Dead Broke Farm for a great week!
Visited and went on a beautiful trail ride today! Our guides Andrew and his volunteer assistant Jenna were AWESOME, very kind, patient and professional! It was a lovely ride through wooded areas and a over a few lil streams, sooo peaceful.... It was my husbands birthday and he enjoyed himself as well! Thank you all at Dead Broke farms!!🙂
My twins and I had an awesome ride. The staff were great and the horses were friendly. We’ll definitely be back!Edit- be patient! Theres a sign when you get there that says something along the lines of expect to wait 1 hour before you ride. I arrived in get-away-for-the-afternoon-but-still-fast-paced mode and was initially a bit put off by how slowly things seemed to be moving. But that was part of why I needed to get away so badly. Once I let go, it was great to just sit, and chill, and let things happen in good time. And the staff were wonderful once we got going.
My husband gifted me a private ride for my birthday and we had an awesome time. Courtney was our guide and she is FANTASTIC. She is so knowledgeable and helped us feel comfortable on our mounts, Igor & Gentlemans Jack. She genuinely loves horses and we enjoyed swapping stories and laughs along the way. The trails are peaceful, scenic and the horses all have their own unique personalities. Perfect for riders at any level. Thank you Dead Broke Farm and Thank you, Igor, GJ & Courtney for giving us a great ride!
I signed up a horse camp for my 12 year old daughter and 10 year old son for one week. However, my son fell down the first day and NOBODY from the farm notified me until I picked him up. My son told me he fell down while riding the horse because the saddle was loose. His back and neck were in pain. I emailed the farm right away and the owner Carla emailed me back the next day finally. She said, “I’m sorry you weren’t notified as that is our policy, but the ride had both camp kids and a family with kids, and I didn’t realize he was a camper, so I didn’t ask Ms. Jean to call his parents.” I couldn’t believe she said she didn’t know my son was a camper. My kids joined your camp and you didn’t know who they were. This is unacceptable!!!They combined campers and private group for horse riding. There were a lot of riders and all campers were minors, but they only had one lead, one employee who was riding with 5 year old boy, and then one volunteer lady. They were seriously understaffed. On the fourth day, my daughter fell down too. Her horse tripped so she fell down and hurt her elbow. On the same ride, there were two riders fell down, one young girl camper and one boy from the private group. The falling rate is TOO HIGH. Unbelievable!!!!I’m glad both of my kids finished the horse camp safe. I really appreciate the volunteer who was the only one checking on my son. Because of her encouragement, my son finally felt confident riding the horse again. This is my first time writing a negative review, but I have to let all parents know: Dead Broke Farm is NOT a SAFE horse camp for a new young rider. Please be careful! I regret that I didnt read any of one star reviews before I made my decision.
What a wonderful experience riding these beautiful draft horses. The staff was friendly and there to help us every step of the way. My group did a private tour with a guide and it was very relaxing and enjoyable. What I really liked were the shady trails. This was a relaxing day on a horse.
It was nice, however the trail ride was too long for me personally. My granddaughter loved it and wants to go again.
My boyfriend and I went on the private ride and Ashley was a fantastic guide. Will definitely be back and ask for Ashley!
This was such a wonderful experience!! We spent our anniversary here and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The people are so friendly and made our trail ride one to remember. Highly recommend!!
This place is amazing!! The horses were beautiful and the workers are so helpful and welcoming! The owner, Carla, was such a great guide and so knowledgeable! She showed us a great time and I would definitely come back here again if I’m in the area. The trails were so beautiful and peaceful. I would recommend doing the private tour because the experience is unforgettable! Thank you Dead Broke Farm for an amazing first time horseback riding! :)
This was an amazing experience! The horses are beautiful and the guides are so nice. The trail ride shady so the heat wasn’t a problem. 100% recommended to anyone with little to no experience that wants to spend some time with horses.
My 6 year old daughter went to her first horseback riding camp here this summer and had a wonderful time. It’s rustic and hot being outside most of the day, as expected, but it was just what she hoped it would be. She worked doing farm chores, feeding the horses, going on daily trail rides, and learning about the horses. The pick up and drop off procedures are definitely more old school and the childcare approach is very free range but if you have a mature child that can handle it, then I would recommend Dead Broke.
I would never go back here nor would I recommend anyone go. I am shocked the overall reviews for this place are 4.4 stars -- which is how we chose to go in the first place. The few 1 star reviews Ive read are exactly how my experience went: shockingly rude staff, unprepared and unorganized check in process, unapologetically chaotic, and most importantly VERY UNSAFE! For a place that has so many horses and does trail rides I cannot believe we almost left with my children and myself in improperly set up saddles. We dont know how to ride and thats seemingly expected for the experience theyre selling. My knees are in pain today from what is likely because it STILL wasnt correctly done even after the owner fixed her employees mistakes. Look at the attached picture to see my sons knee position. We sat on our horses in 93 degree heat, in the sun, for a half hour while the staff stood around and argued about what they needed to be doing. If they had told us wed be sitting there waiting for so long I would have asked that we sit at the table in the shade with a bottle of water while they figured out how to run their business.Based on the comments Ive read, this is clearly not the first time the owner is hearing this feedback, and we did try to talk to her at the time, but she seems to think this is all fine and the customers interpretation of the experience is inaccurate. This means that she is creating this culture of bad behavior from her staff and isnt open to changing. She could take some of this feedback and make a few improvements. (Some easy things would be to tell people their trail time is an hour later, do more prep before customers are standing around, have waivers be online, process payments via credit card online, offer water and set expectations for what the staff is doing while youre waiting, and having a fun staff. We are there for a good time, not a lesson in how to follow your rules. Id think people smiling and excited to get you on a horse would be the vibe but that was NOT it. Most importantly, if her staff is going to be junior, she needs to be the leader there to ensure people are having a fun and safe experience. Showing up after all that time and redoing what they wasted our time fumbling around with is really frustrating.)Also, there were summer camps happening while we were checking in and the way the staff spoke to those children is nothing like what I would want my kids to experience. Correcting minor language preferences and accusing a child of stealing something-- what is going on here?
Beware the refund policy. The guide was very pleasant and the stables have been vastly improved since our first visit in 2012. We had a bad experience this weekend, however, when we arrived early for our 11am private ride but our group was not able to mount until 1230. None of the horses were saddled and ready prior to arrival and there were quite a few people waiting to ride. Because of the delay, I had to leave due to another commitment and was unable to join my family on their ride. When I requested a refund for just my portion, Gene simply smiled and said sorry, no refunds on cancellations. How wonderful for them! I wouldnt have canceled if they would have started within a reasonable time. The ride had been arranged days in advance. Very frustrating.
My daughter attended summer camp at Dead Broke Farm and loved every minute of it. The children don’t just ride the horses, but also learn what needs to be done before putting the saddle on as well as caring for the horse free their hour ride is completed. There are plenty of other activities to do on the farm - from playing with other farm animals, feeding horses, playing on the playground and arts and crafts. My daughter is dying to go back next year - says it’s her favorite camp she’s been too!
Had a great time! We were in town visiting froout of state when we were looking for something to do. They were able to get us into the afternoon ride. Our lead tour guide was Jenna, and she was great. Very knowledgeable, answered any questions we had, and even joked around with us. I would definitely recommend people looking for a trail ride to check this place out. Also, go a head and get the 2 hour ride instead of just one hour. We were just getting into it when the ride was over but had purchased the two hour ride so got to enjoy it more.
I have never been to this place in person. However, after my telephone conversation with Jean, I would not ever go. We have a younger child that is an experienced rider and has been taking riding lessons for quite some time and when I inquired about him riding she was insistent that he could only ride with one of their guides and not one of us because #it was their policy. There was absolutely no discussion and she was quite rude about. If hes been riding a horse by himself at Cedar Island and other stables, this is definitely not the place for us.
Beautiful and peaceful trail ride! The horses were great. It was difficult to keep our family of 6 together because certain horses prefer to be near one another. Will try the private ride next time. Overall was a great experience!
Awesome riding experience. I haven’t been on a horse in nearly 34 years. The guides, during all stages of the process, were GREAT. The nature trail even with the misty rain was well worth it. The horses were well mannered and responded on command. YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY CHECK THEM OUT! Money well spent. I’m a happy customer. 😃
What a terrible experience from start to finish. It is hard to believe that this place has 4.4 stars. To begin, we had a reservation for an 11 am ride for a group of 10 and we’re told we had to be there by 10:30. We assumed the ride would be just for the 10 of us or a few more people. No. The group was around 25 people, which created pure chaos. We didn’t actually ride until 12:30 because we were forced to wait for all of the people who were late. It was unbelievably hot out and we were left to sit and wait in the heat with no water for hours. The staff were completely disorganized, rude and were often seen fighting with each other. Mainly, the owner seems to have a severe temper. She verbally attacked 2 different members of our group at different points during the experience creating unbelievably uncomfortable situations. This can be seen in her responses to other reviews. The ride felt completely unsafe and it felt like many of the horses weren’t well trained for this purpose. Alternatively it could be that the horses misbehave due to the questionable way they are treated by the staff - hitting/punching/threatening the horses. The entire ride felt stressful because we were constantly stopping to address problems with the horses. With 25 people this was happening A LOT.Lastly, the helmets smelled disgusting. It makes me think they don’t take good care of their equipment.Do not book a trail ride here. Period.
Great place for beginners and family. I have been on a few horse back riding places across NC but not a expert by any means. This was more of a group walk with the horses. If you want a more experienced ride, pay the extra and take the private tour. The trail is nice and takes about a hour. Beautiful farm and plan to come back to take the private tour. Highly recommended for family and couples. The covid protocals in place were not very strict. People around us did not wear masks which made me a little uncomfortable but we just kept our distance. There was sanitizer available at the sign up desk but seems like they dont make guests use a mask. Overall, it was a enjoyable experience and will be back!
How this place has almost 5 stars is beyond me. Without a doubt, the worst horse ride I’ve ever experienced. I love riding horses and I’ve been on several trips however, this ride will honestly make me rethink ever riding a horse again. Our allotted time was for 4:30 and we didn’t get going until 6:45. Overall, the staff was ok but they acted very impatient and hostile towards the riders. In fact, several times I was taken a back by their rude comments, especially since we were being patient enough to wait almost 2.5 hours to ride the horses! Those inconveniences though, cannot compare to the disaster the actual horse ride was. There were somewhere in the range of 20-25 riders, with only two staff members attending to them. Perhaps 20-25 people doesn’t seem a lot, but when there are that many horses and that many inexperienced riders on one trail together, chaos is likely to happen. Not only were the horses behaving as if they’ve never been on a trail in their life, not only were there just two staff members attending to this enormous group, but these were the most aggressive, poorly managed horses I have ever experienced. The horse I was riding was out of control, it would not follow any directions, it would constantly turn its head giving the impression it was trying to bite me and it got into fights and bit other horses. At one point, my horse and two other horses got mixed up in line, which at the time didn’t seem like a big deal. However, what I didn’t know, is that if the horses got behind any other horse, that they were not originally put behind in the beginning of the ride, they would start fighting. And when I say fighting, I mean my horse started attacking another horse and that other horse was a second away from kicking my horse and I was there panicking, barely hanging on as these two horse got into it…this happened more than once by the way…To make things worse, in the middle of the ride I pleaded with one of the staff to please let me get off, as I was willing to walk the whole way back instead of continue risking my life on this ride however, she said “You aren’t allowed to” and “It’s it was too late for that”. I also received a laceration almost the full size of my bicep, due to my horse deciding to walk through dense forest where there were sharp sticks coming out of trees. Not only is it very painful but I had to waste more money buying anti bacterial supplies after the ride, in order to prevent my wound from getting infected. Let’s just say this was honestly one of the scariest, most nerve wrecking experiences of my life. I wish I would have never gone and wasted $75 dollars on this trash. THE LEAST they should have done was offer a refund but, they didn’t even have the decency to do that. You could tell even when you arrive they only care about getting their money and they COULDN’T CARE LESS about your comfort or safety. I would recommend to do literally ANYTHING ELSE but go to this place.
The guards were excellent and Maggie was exceptional. I had a wonderful time riding with Maggie. She was patient with me; she knew when to stop and when not to. Shes a beautiful girl.
We had a great time yesterday! It does take time to get riding on the trail, but that is understandable so pack your patience. You have to fill out a form, watch a demonstration and they have to match the appropriate horse to each rider. I appreciated that they took their time to make sure everyone was prepared for the ride. You will have a great time as long as you are not in a rush.
So fun! If you don’t know how to ride, you will after you come here! Perfect environment, awesome and super relaxing.
My daughter had a great time on her 30 min kids pony ride. She rode through a beautiful trail and she loved it! She was asking for an hour ride afterwards.
I booked a Mother’s Day ride for my mom and I. I was a little nervous because I’m an experienced rider but my mom is not. From start to finish the staff was so informative and helpful. My mom felt so comfortable. Our horses Gracie and Gentlemans Jack were well trained and a joy to ride. Beautiful trails with creeks and all! We can’t wait to come back!! Thanks so much for making this a Mother’s Day for us to put in the books
My daughter had an awesome experience here for her first horse back riding camp. She learned so much about what it takes to maintain a horse/farm as well as how to build trust with your horse as youre learning the skills to ride it. From the trail guides to the camp director, to the horses, and other new friends she made, she loved every minute of it. We will definitely be returning.
Amazing ride!! Thunderstorm but that added to the experience! The staff were lovely, gave us brief instructions in the beginning and then we went on the trail. The trail was beautiful. My horse Maggie was super calm and communicative - absolutely loved it!
I took my wife for our anniversary and it was an awesome experience. The staff is super and very helpful. I’m definitely going to bring the family back.
What a great time!! In spite of the muggy heat, we all mounted and rode through the trees where it was cool though muddy. No rain on the ride. Our guide gave us some training before we took off and she was really nice!!! My horse, Egor, was sweet as pie. Such beautiful eyes!! Hope to come back in the future.Thank you!!!!
My oldest grandchild turned 13 today . I took her and one of her sister’s to Dead Broke Farm . We took a two hour private trail ride with Allie. We made memories that will last a lifetime. I cannot thank Allie and Dead Broke Farm enough! Our horses were completely trustworthy, and lovely. Allie’s expertise and her calm and confident manner put me at ease immediately ! My girls have not taken a breath or stopped talking about it since we left. We feel like we made a friend for life in Allie ! We will never forget this day and we will be back ASAP! If you go request Allie and be prepared for an experience of a lifetime.Always grateful!Lisa Hill
We had such a great ride! The guides were phenomenal and so accommodating. My four year old was able to ride her own horse with a guide and was so thrilled by the experience. My son was uncomfortable on the horse they initially chose for him and they were happy to switch saddles and horses to help accommodate him, ensuring he enjoyed the trail ride as much as the rest of us! Highly recommend Dead Broke Farm!!
Was absolutely breath taking. Ask for Ally as guide. The trail ride was so unbelievably scenic, and Ally accomadayed our riding skills very nicely. I did the two hour private ride and we all rode wonderful geldings. Highly recommend. Book it now!
DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY REASON!!! This was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had as a customer and basically ruined our entire trip. I have never witnessed an business owner verbal attack, dehumanize, and completely decimate a beginner like this before. We witnessed a horse being punched in the face with full force three times which makes me question how they after treated when people aren’t watching. We didn’t ask for a refund because we were so happy to be back on the ground and free to run back to the car. I honestly hope this owner takes the money she made off us and goes to anger management for help!
Really fun, considering we went on one of the hottest days this summer, the ride was completely shaded and only felt like a mild sauna vs a broiler. The horses were mostly mild mannered and perfect for my completely green kids and husband.
This was an amazing ride. Loved riding the horses and the guides were amazing. Fantastic time would definitely do it again.
We got there at the appointed time. There were just under 20 all total to ride out. There was not one horse ready. 1 and half hours later and we still were not ready. It would seem that there place runs off of volunteers. If they dont show up it slow down the process alot. Another thing, when you get tired of waiting ....there are NO refunds. The best they will do is reschedule. Another thing was no one tells you what is going on or the process of why it takes so long. If they would communicate better to the people standing around....
Loved it. Great job Steel you really took great care of me. The staff was awesome. I will be back.
If you want a trail ride, this is your place. We had the best trail ride Ive had in years and we will be back. The trail was beautiful, cared for, and easy for inexperienced riders. My 12 year old loved every second and was disappointed we were back after an hour. The horses were sweet tempered, followed riders instructions, and were in excellent shape for the ride.
Went with my niece, nephew, and grandson. The horses were very docile. Rode around for an hour in shady forest which was nice because it was a hot day, otherwise. Definitely recommend long pants. You can bring water and you can use a saddle bag to carry small things.
Wonderful trail ride on a beautiful summer day. Trail was well kept and shaded. Instructors and guides were plentiful and friendly.Horses were all very well behaved and easy for beginners. Many breeds and sizes for everyone.
This place is definitely worth every cent. I highly recommend coming with your family.. or even yourself lol.
An amazing experience especially for first time riders. The horses were very beautiful and guides were very nice and helpful the whole ride.
We came here for a birthday party and had the absolute best time! Thank you dead broke farm for everything today! Highly recommend.
Our daughter had a great time at camp this week! So much fun she wanted to get here early every day! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
I had an awesome time today. The staff was very knowledgeable and catered to all riding levels. Horses are well cared for and well-mannered!!! I’d highly recommend for anyone looking to try something different and see some beautiful trails.
My daughter treated me to a ride for Mothers Day. We had such a great time. The horses are well kept and groomed and the staff are friendly and professional. I loved the trail!! It has small hills and streams for just the right level of excitement!! Thanks Carla! Well be back!!❤❤❤
Had an amazing experience! I have come several times over the years and this is my first time back since covid. Great staff, horses, and trails! Cant wait to come back!
Ashley was the best. The ride was amazing. Jenna did a great job pulling up the of the trail. I will be back and everyone should give this a try at least once.Dead Broke Farms you are the best!!!!
I did a private ride with my 2 kids. Allie was our guide and she was awesome! Horses were really sweet and the trails are really nice. Highly recommend!
My whole family went and had an amazing time!! I have kids 15; 13 and 10 and have never ridden before and all loved the trail ride! Very nice and the trail was pretty! Will definitely be back!
My daughter loved camp! The farm is amazing and Ms. Jean was a wonderful teacher. The horses are beautiful and sweet. We love supporting Dead Broke Farm.
Had a great 2 hour private trail ride time with today Jenna our guide. Our horses were great and the instruction beforehand made me feel confident getting on a horse for the first time. Im sure well be back again in the future.
Courtney is amazing 🤩 I had an amazing time at dead broke farm in Raleigh, NC. My horse was Gentleman Jack he is truly a Gentleman. This was my first time and they made me feel so comfortable. Please guys follow instructions!!! You will not regret it, neither did I. Also, I will be back… thank you dead broke farm wheeeew!!! ❤️🔥
The best private trail ride I’ve done in Raleigh! The owner Carla guided me and was fantastic! Super friendly, informational and shared some great views of the land. The horses were great! I rode Cheddar, a beautiful mare! The customer service was awesome! I Absolutely would recommend to experienced and inexperienced riders! Will definitely ride here again!! Thanks!
Ashley was amazing!! we did a two-hour tour, my wife and I and had the most amazing time ever! thanks so much for being so professional and making sure we had such a good time. We will definitely be back again next month.
What a fantastic time! With no experience I was made to feel ready to ride and enjoyed the beautiful scenery in the woods. The guides were great, many beautiful trained horses, and I didn’t even mind the pouring rain!!!!!! Would absolutely recommend.
Great experience. Horses were pleasant. Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Trail was decent and quick. Will return. I am from NYC so this was a great experience for my 5 and 3 year old
Had a great time ! Sadie and Jenna were terrific guides and I am really thankful for this experience. I will definitely be able again
What a perfect second date! The leaders of the farm were so attentive. Our horses were Pebbles and Princess who are best friends. The ride was well guided and I would highly recommend coming out fir this great experience.
Had a wonderful Memorial Day outing. The staff is very helpful, the trails are beautiful with creeks and small hills. I felt very safe with great, gentle horses. I recommend this farm for fun family memories!
The experience was amazing. Our first time and would definitely do it again! If youre looking for something fun and new to definitely check it out! Carla was an amazing host :)
My husband took me for a trail ride for my birthday. We rode Gentleman Jack and Gracie, who are lovebirds and super sweet. We had a ton of fun and will be back again!
The place was amazing. I would recommend doing a private ride so that way you can do trotting and running. This place allows you to go through the woods and go across creeks and offers great views during the ride throughout the farm. Would recommend going to this place
Rode here for the first time. Horses looked well taken care of (FIRST thing I looked at) and the staff members I dealt with were friendly. The horses were well mannered (rode a lovely mare) and didnt seem bothered by any wildlife we ran into. Both trail guides friendly and made sure that the less experienced riders were okay during the ride. Will definitely go back but will book a private ride and longer ride. Only negative was a saw one of the staff members smoking and felt that was a bit unprofessional. Otherwise had a really great ride and look forward to going again!
A really great experience the guides are so nice and informative, and the horses are really beautiful I definitely will come again!
My daughter came to the riding camp during track out and has had an amazing time! She has learned more about saddling and tacking the horse and grooming, than she has at other camps. They offer a discounted rate for parents to come on a ride. So, I took them up on the offer! So glad I did, the trails are well manicured, secluded, and peaceful. The staff has been amazing, very fun to interact with, and very educational if you want to know more about the horses. They’re website is chalked full of information and they have been true to every word as advertised! We are going to be back, even if it is in as a volunteer!
I had a great time with my family. The staff gave us full instructions. The horses were well trained. Lot of fun
The guides were very patient with us. The horses were gentle. The trail was long but great for the experience. This is our second ride and we will definitely be coming back again.
It was very fun! The long wait for the ride was worth it. The trail through the woods is gorgeous and gives a challenge to navigating. Lovely experience.
Great experience… tour guides were wonderful. It was my first time riding so I was definitely nervous however, they made me feel welcomed.
The caretakers are so nice & helpful. Even as a beginner who has never been on a horse & afraid of horses all my life, the ride was really lovely. Carla was a great caretaker! Nemo, Butch, & Desperado were such lovely horses. My girlfriend and I had so much fun 🖤 10/10 recommend!!PS they have the cutest dogs that come along for the ride
My wife and I had a private ride today and really enjoyed it tremendously. The owner took us out and gave us lots of good historical information about the farm. We highly recommend this location for a great ride, great horses and friendly staff 👍.
PROS: In the past I had a good experience on a private ride with adult Dead Broke Farm. As I scheduled a ride for my daughter to try her first ride solo (ridden on horse with me previously) they were accommodating with the scheduling & when she was too scared to continue, they offered a future guided pony ride.CONS: The wait prior to getting on the horse was 1:43 minutes. The information on the website and signage on the farm is clear that it may take a hour before you get on your horse but the extra 43 minutes was unanticipated & appeared to be due to challenges of needing horses from a previous ride to be part of our ride and being short staffed (Why not take out part of the group that did have horses and have smaller groups?). A kid fell of a horse on our ride and the staff appeared to have limited training on how to respond. Much like an experience in a previously posted review, I, a customer, was the one who assessed & provided first aid to the kid. Some helmets in the helmet closet were broken. You might want to bring your own bike/ski helmet instead of renting.OVERALL: In its current situation (staffing & staff training) I would only return with physically fit adult friends with previous horseback riding experience and several folks in your group with emergency medical training. I would only do a private ride & aim to schedule it not to start at the same time as the group rides begin. Dead Broke Farms aims to be transparent with its RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK information & customers should take this VERY SERIOUSLY. Its NOT like at other adventure places where signage & waivers are just part of the process but EMTs are on staff. Its more like you knew someone who knew another person who had horses and you went over to check them out.
We had an amazing experience on a trail ride at Dead Broke Farm. The guides were great and the scenery was beautiful. Thanks to Sadie and Drew! They were both patient and engaging with our three kids (12, 10, and 6).
This is the best covid safe activity! I’ve been here twice with my 8 year old for trail riding and can’t wait to come back. All the staff is very friendly and super helpful. The horses are all well behaved. Recommend Dead Broke Farm to anyone in the triangle area!
Staff is very kind and helpful. The horses are amazing! I had a great time. Will most definitely do this again!
I truly enjoyed my horse ride. My first time and UT was fun. Ashley is the best tour guide. I will be back again.
My husband and I went for my 23rd birthday. The staff was so kind and helpful! I don’t have any experience riding horses, but they made things incredibly easy. Kirra was our guide. She was kind, funny, and easy going! Thank you, Dead Broke Farm!! 💗
