My son had his hair and beard trimmed yesterday at The Nut Barbershop. Hes new to the area and a good friend of mine recommended this shop and specifically Barber, Devin Tomlin. My son was a bit sceptical & concerned when he heard straight razor, but after it was over, he said it was the smoothest his skin has ever felt after a cut. The lines are sharp on his undercut and his beard looks great! He really liked Devin a lot! He said the shop itself was the cleanest one hes ever been in. So, I can say that Devin Tomlin has definitely got herself a new customer! (The picture is after him training all day.) She is definitely an awesome Barber.. it looks fantastic! Justin Dare at the Nut Barber is the best in the business... whether I need my beard trimmed or the works. His attention to detail has always from other Barbers. For over 25 years, He has been cutting hair for me and others in my family. Highly recommended.

Got my first haircut in several months today (thanks, pandemic) and wanted to try somewhere new. Couldnt be happier with the results; Devin was very nice & professional, was able to visualize and create the look I had wanted (even though I had very little idea exactly how to convey to her what I wanted), spent the extra time to make sure every hair was right and didnt charge me an arm & a leg to do it.Will definitely be back as soon as I need another cut.

Meticulous. John, my barber, spoke the moment I crossed the threshold into a relaxed atmosphere of antique, leather Koken barber chairs and that eye-grabbing, mounted squirrels head on the wall. As many other aspects of this newer shop in Raleigh as there are to praise, the challenging cut I presented to John never phased him. My hair had grown for almost a year after I had my head shaved to be in solidarity with my sister who has cancer. John treated each snip and slice as though he were sculpting a treasure. Meticulous. I am 60. I have never had such a precise, intensive, careful haircut. With respect to every white barber whos cut my hair for 60 years, nobody ever worked this hard for my approval. Two hours later, as he handed me the mirror to view my cut, I had only one word to describe the masterwork I saw in the mirror: METICULOUS. John, simply, youre the BEST.
