Unbelievable staff. Susan cuts my hair she is great. Friendly and does a real good job. Cindi is nice. They give you beer while you get a haircut. Get the benchmark. I go weekly

Saw this place while eating lunch today, decided to book an appointment and give it a try. This place is AWESOME!! Wonderful receptionist and awesome stylist. Went for the Benchmark tonight, and will definitely be back. All around great experience. People make the difference and these folks do it right. Thank You

Great cut, relaxing “Benchmark” services. An overall calming experience, with Lauren and Dani taking care of me - well done. Setting is quite nice, too. Kind of a clubby atmosphere without any of the stuffiness. Highly recommend.

First time going...Lauren is an AWESOME stylist! She took time to familiarise herself with my hair and make sure that I was pleased with the cut. She was very attentive to detail! The massage was otherworldly. Would highly recommend The Benchmark. With that said, the receptionist that welcomed me and checked me out after my appointment was egregious! She has NO people skills. She needs to be let go. AWFUL! I would happily go back as long as I only deal with Lauren.Lauren is deserving of a 5-star rating, but the receptionist doesn’t even deserve one. Unfortunate.

During the time I had my membership everything was always hit or miss. Sometimes my hair would get cut like it was supposed to and sometimes it was completely off. What was most frustrating though is with two different barbers I was always having to reschedule. Five minutes before my appointments they would call to tell me they were running so late they had to bump me back or something came up and they weren’t in that day. This was always happening within minutes of my appointment time; and it was a consistent event. Discussed my frustrations with the manager only to be offered a new barber who is “always timely.” I’ll be looking elsewhere for a shop that communicates better and values the time of their customers.

It fell so short.I wanted to like this place. I like barbers and I like barbershops.The tone was set right at check-in. I walked in and stood there for minutes before I was even acknowledged or spoken too and, the thing was, two women stood there directly in front of me at the check-in desk.The decor is cool, very classic looking but my stylist looked like she just rolled out of bed. She had mentioned to me that she was drinking lots the night before and rolled into work very tired. I dont have any judgement about that but I dont to hear that as your cutting my hair.The Boardroom looks and feels like a professional barbershop catering to men, my experience was anything but professional.

I went to the Raleigh, NC Midtown location and cant say enough about the business and experience. I was politely greeted by the manager Kourtney, who was very helpful explaining the process and making me feel comfortable. She even gave me a tour of the salon which was impeccably clean and beautiful. The millwork in this place is stunning! I felt like I was at a country club. My stylist Kay was wonderful and may I add excellent at her job. My hair isnt easy to style and she knocked it out of the park! She asked me a lot of questions prior to the cut and along the way to make sure she was cutting my hair correctly. Excellent experience all around. If you want a great customer experience, operated by professionals, then go here.

Ive been going to the Boardroom for about 3 months now and let me tell you that you will not find a more professional environment in the Triangle area for a perfect haircut (trust me, Ive looked). Kay always does an immaculate job and labors over each hair cut in order to meet her clients exact requests. She is kind, on time, meticulous, and consistent. You dont just get a good haircut every once and awhile but a great one, consistently.

Update from my first visit last week.Updating to 5 stars. I was running late but they accommodated this. They could have said too bad but you can tell when customer service is prioritized by the small things.Cut and services were great. From the time I walked in until leaving, I felt welcomed.******Overall good experience. I signed up for the 3 month executive for $125 in this new branch. People are nice and the facilities are likewise. Didnt have to wait long and was asked if I wanted anything to drink. Masks are required throughout except when washing and hot towel.Ive had and paid for talented barbers and while Boardroom is a national chain, the stylists are what you might expect from a similar chain hair cutter.My executive membership includes additional services after the cut- a paraffin hand dip, facial, hand and arm massage, and shampoo.There are many things that I would improve if I was managing it but Im not so 4 stars is a fair rating.

Great service and the benchmark is really worth it!

Fantastic experience! A great, and I mean great, haircut is only the beginning with this place. I had Kay as my stylist and she did a phenomenal on my hair. But with the “Executive” you also get a spa-level type treatment after the haircut that is incredibly relaxing. Really enjoyed my first experience here and will absolutely be back.

I am a avid customer of boardroom back when I was living in Texas. Was sad to lose the experience when moving to Raleigh only to find out they opened a location here. The service was excellent as always. I highly recommend the benchmark. It’s unlike any other haircut service you have had that will have you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed when you walk out. Their memberships are also great value with the unlimited haircuts ensuring you are looking your best at all times.

This review is a little late as I went back in September before a wedding to get a straight razor shave. The employee doing the shave was very professional and nice, unfortunately it was one of the worst shaves I have gotten before. I had to go home and shave the missed spots. Not what you want after spending $60+. I notice they don’t have the option for a straight razor shave anymore. I hope they hire someone new, as I really liked the atmosphere here and the professionalism of the staff.

Its the most relaxed and very laidback salon i’ve ever been. The staff are polite, kind, and very professional. Lauren, my stylist always do a phenomenal job with my hair. I highly recommend for you guys out there to check This place out!

Stylist Lauren was very nice and sweet. Started by getting to know me and and asking me what I wanted in a haircut. Gave me a relaxing head message during my shampoo. Unfortunately do not think she was very experienced as I left not completely liking the overall cut, but it is hair and it will grow. Also was rather expense for a simple mens cut $45.00 plus an $8.00 tip and then they add a $3.00 wellness and safety fee which I felt was unnecessary and should be an expense the Boardroom absorbs in doing business and not pass it along to it customers especially since they are a new business in town. Will probably not be returning. To bad was hoping to finally find a good place to get a good mens haircut here in raleigh. The search goes on.

Kristina was a joy. She was very friendly and got my unruly beard under control.

First time coming here, and wont be going anywhere else from now on. Got a fantastic hair cut, taught how to give it a bit of style. The benchmark is a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The massage is no joke, felt more refreshed when I left than when I came in. I cannot remember the women name who cut my hair. Huge thank you, and yes my wife was as shocked as I thought she would be. Thank you. I will be making another appointment soon.

Edit: Added a star for quick response from management and care for a remedy. I would like to try again.I received a mailer for 1/2 off and thought Id try it. The cost of an executive cut (not quick) is $60, which is way more than I would pay normally, but thought Id try it for $30 after coupon. They add $3 for a wellness or covid-esqe fee, which Im not a fan of, but ok. The location is great and the inside of the store was nice. The check-in process was good and the beer was a nice bonus. The stylist was very friendly and welcoming but was not impressed with the haircut or consultation. Did not do a good job fading the sides or cleaning around the ears. The top was cut, but no style or innovation. Overall cut was not much better than a GreatClips. The products were nice and the hand/arm massage was underwhelming. Im intrigued by the concept of membership, and getting as many cuts as you want, but the quality was poor. Maybe ill try again in a year, once they get the kinks out.

I highly recommend Boardroom Salon it was one of the most relaxing haircuts k have ever had and the experience from start to finish was amazing.

Made an appointment to give them a try and got a call as I pulled into the parking lot that they wouldn’t be able get me in. I’m sure it’s a nice place but hard to deal with unreliable scheduling.
