Excellent experience with this barber! Everyone who works there are great people, very kind! I loved the atmosphere, it really feels like you step back in time when entering the building. The barber-shop poles are super neat and something you don’t see in the chain haircut locations. I got a great haircut and had good conversation here. I can definitely see myself becoming a regular here and would recommend Man-Mur to anyone!

Asked for a low fade and trimmed on the top. Ended up with an unequal haircut, the fade was probably the worst Ive ever had and the style wasnt at all what I asked for. Staff is really friendly, but should focus on the haircut and actually care about what theyre doing to peoples hair.

Best shoe repair with excellent customer service! I cant express how happy I am that we found Man Mur Shoe Shop. It is a small independent business that places a high emphasis on quality work and customer satisfaction. I had a pair of hiking boots that needed resoled, and they did an excellent job and were really knowledgeable. They will make a good repair recommendation over selling you a new pair of shoes, but they also have a great supply of quality shoes in stock, and their prices for repair as well as new shoes is very fair. You wont be disappointed if you go here...the staff sincerely wants its customers to be satisfied versus just making sales, which is such a rare thing these days! We will definitely be back!!

I was nervous taking my Ostrich Skin boots to just any shoe repair place. They showed me a few example pairs they had already completed and I decided to let them repair the soles. I was so impressed when they finished that I took 2 more pairs! All my boots look brand new and the turnaround time was very quick and staff is very friendly!

This place is absolutely incredible. Fair price, amazing work and a really friendly staff... I had a pair of Dansko wedges with broken straps and the stitching around the edges had begun to unravel; they fixed the straps, resewed the edges and even cleaned and polished them. All for 20$ and in less then 2 hours.. Im about to round up all my old shoes! I am so happy I found this place and I highly recommend them to all my friends.

These guys are awesome! I had a leather Brics suitcase that needed repair. They did it on the spot for a really great price! They were super friendly and more than accommodating. Id definitely go back and recommend them to anyone with leather goods or shoes needing repair.

Best Cobbler/shoe repair in the Triangle. Not only do they know what they are doing, they do it amazingly well, and they are also some of the nicest people you will meet. Whatever is wrong with your shoe or leather goods, they will figure out a way to fix it beautifully. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my shoe collection.

I went there a few weeks back with my bosses shoes and have since been back 3 more times with more of my bosses shoes and I will only go there from now on. There are other shoe repair places closer but Man Mur has the best customer service, workmanship, and pricing that its worth the drive.I would definitely recommend them to anybody needing any sort of shoe repair.

As an NC State student its hard for me to say enough good things about this barber shop. Having previously had my hair cut at a similar, also excellent establishment in Mooresville, NC, I had high expectations coming in and was quickly blown away regardless. In the space of about 10 minutes I received a near-perfect haircut and a quick beard trim for only $16! A nice bonus is the friendliness of the barbers and the banter among them; they brought to mind fond memories of my own local barber shop back home. All in all, there are very few reasons for any male students of NC State university not to come here for their haircuts. One important thing to mention: this establishment accepts CASH ONLY. Credit and debit cards are not accepted due to the lack of a processing machine. While the barbers were nice enough to let me walk to the Cashpoints ATM in D.H. Hill library in order to withdraw enough cash to pay them, please do them and yourself a favor and bring at least $20 in advance.

I went to Man-Mur regularly as a student at NC State. I used to drop by in the late morning and rarely had to wait more than 5 minutes. The staff were kind and entertaining and did a great job cutting my hair. If I hadnt moved out of Raleigh I would still be visiting every few weeks.

First off, let me tell you that this place isnt inexpensive at $16 a haircut. Marines beware of the older gentleman in the far corner. He thinks that every military haircut is called a high and tight and never cuts to skin.After having him cut my hair and him being flustered and calling me wrong when I told him what a high and tight was, he proceed to tell me he cut hair for 50 years. He was very annoyed that I corrected him, and after much ranting still managed to mess up my cut. The sides arent skin, the fade is barely passable, and dont get me started on the back. Its hardly cut and what is cut isnt even straight. I wish I could upload pictures to show you it.He was also going off about not cutting peoples hair who arent his regulars (I guess old men with not enough hair to mess up) and then said that he gets a lot of bad comments when people come back in and that someone shouldnt be made fun of for doing their best. I can agree with him on that, but then he started talking smack about my usual barber. He said, .. he jacks some peoples hair up so much it takes them a year to grow it back out right.I came in for a haircut, and I left insulted, poorly shaven, and lighter of wallet.The other gentlemen usually give a pretty fair haircut, one that I dont have to touch up when I go home.

I dont get the hype. Went to this barbershop due to the good reviews. Unfortunately, the place isnt the cleanest. Regardless of that, I received a rushed, sub-par cut. The barbers are nice guys, but Id look elsewhere for a clean cut.

I had a hole in my boot sole from my motorcycle peg. These are really expensive horse riding boots with leather soles ($300) and so it was not an option to just get rid of them. They were finished in 1.5 weeks. When I got them back they were like brand new! I had the heels and the soles replaced on both boots for 80$ and it looks like the got a little cleaning done too. What a steal!

I just picked my old LLBean duck boots from Manmur. I brought them in because the stitching had come off. I dropped it off on Monday morning and by Monday afternoon, I got a call from them saying that it was ready. The boots look great. They also gave me tips on how to keep the leather soft and waterproof (silicone!). They charged me just $20. I was willing to pay more!I am very happy that they were able to fix my duck boots. They basically added a few more years to the life of the boots. Although I live in Chapel Hill and there are shoe cobblers there too, I will continue to patronize Manmur because of their work quality, expediency and integrity. It would be a gamble (probably foolish too) to go anywhere else. 5 stars are not enough.-Ben S.
