Shorter hair is about the best that they can guarantee. Ive given this location multiple chances, and every time I walk out frustrated and disappointed. I come with pictures of how I like my hair and clearly specify how I like and dont like it cut, and every time, they ignore it all and give me a haircut that isnt even close to what I want. I have had hairdressers try to justify how the cut they gave me is actually what I wanted when it looks nothing like the pictures I showed them. Shelling out that much money to be forced to wear a hat for a month is hardly recommendable.

Addi cuts my hair and my 3 children’s hair and we absolutely adore her. She’s so good with my children making them feel comfortable and heard. They love a wild haircut and she delivers what they’re looking for while making it reasonably easy for me to take care of. This is the place to go to get your hair cut in this area. Friendly and professional staff, and Im always in and out pretty quick. You can pick a specific person or whoever is available when booking, and Ive found that everyone is great and Ive never had a bad haircut here.

Today I not only received the greatest haircut in all of my 50 years on this planet, I had the best haircut experience as well! Addi is a consummate professional. She gave me a fantastic haircut with incredible attention to detail and made my time in the chair at Arrow fun and enjoyable.

In theory, I think this is a great place to get your haircut. The ambiance is way better than a Great Clips, plus the convenience of booking your appointment ahead of time. The staff is always friendly no matter the location. However, do not, and I repeat, DO NOT, choose a random person. I would go to a stylist that you’ve heard another person recommend. Most of my experiences at Arrow were bad and I think this is due to having curly/wavy hair. Most of their stylists aren’t familiar with it and only can cut straight hair. I think the price is pretty steep, as they end up chopping all of your hair off. To be honest you can pay $14 for the same haircut at Great Clips. Both will mess up the haircut, but at least you didn’t overpay.

I was referred to this site cause my normal site was booked, and I was not let not let down at all. If you can when booking, choose Whitney.. Haircut conversations can be awkward, you know the typical hows your day, some weather were having huh but not with her, shes funny, shes friendly, shes personable and just plain awesome. Oh, and the haircut looks good too! 11/10, shes my new go-to.

Started going here when I worked in Cameron Village, and kept going even after I started working across town because Id built such a bond with my stylist, Lo! Arrow has great barbers, but thats far from the only positive. The overall experience makes you feel super secure that your hair is in great hands, the barbers are all really nice to talk to, and its just an enjoyable time. Back when I went to a typical barber shop, getting a haircut was just a chore that Id put off. At Arrow I actually genuinely look forward to the next time I get to go in. I HIGHLY recommend trying it out if you dont 100% love your barber already.

I went to Jazmin for over a year and never had a single bad experience. Every time she cut my hair I looked forward to it because she is so sociable and fun to talk to. Definitely makes getting a hair cut an individual experience and is a 12/10. Plus she gives a mean fade.

Book in advance, and plan ahead! I’ve been going to Arrow ever since they opened in the early 2010’s and I’ve always been happy with my haircut! The people there really know what they’re doing! I don’t have a favorite barber, because they all do a good job! Make sure you book an appointment before you actually NEED a haircut because they’re usually booked a couple of weeks ahead of time.

Catt did an AMAZING job, just freaking full of knowledge on hair and beards. I now totally resemble a human adult who has their life together! Thoroughly impressed, will go there again.

Very good service. As a woman with short hair that many see as a mans cut, I was apprehensive as to what the stylists may say. However, the stylists were very kind and the lady who cut my hair was very careful to make sure I was comfortable. I recommend Katie!

Love this place. You do need to make an appointment a few days out. But I love the way they set appointments for every 1/2 hour so you never feel like your being rushed through to get to the next customer. Beer and a haircut in one place. Whats not to like?

I love this place. Everyone is friendly (and they’re pretty gracious in indulging my chatterbox kid, too). I never have to wait, very reasonable pricing and I love Beth. She has been getting me through the horrific growing-out-a-pixie stage and somehow makes it look not just okay but actually pretty cute. It’s always a delight to work with someone highly skilled and who was obviously meant to do the work she does— thankful to have found her and Arrow!

I have not gotten a haircut elsewhere since I came here. Its a hip place to get some hair cut, and their slogan, guaranteed shorter hair is only the surface of it. They also guarantee a tasty beverage, good customer service, and exciting conversation. My most recent haircut was given to me by Bethany, and she was such a good hair stylist and conversational person. I recommend this place to everyone I know who needs a haircut.

Ive been getting my hair cut here for a couple of years and have never gotten a bad cut. Lo has been cutting my hair for over a year now, and shes just the best. I always get a cut that Im really happy with, and she does an exceptional job of remembering what we talked about the last time I was in. Definitely would not go anywhere else.

Ive been going to Arrow for like at 6 years now. I have had many barbers and I can say they keep me coming back. Katie has been my barber for over a year now and always does a great job. She helps me decide when I cant really decide want I want for a new style. I highly recommend any Arrow barber shop.

UPDATE - If you’d like to go to an actual barbershop that operates like a classic barbershop. They’ll take you at LADY JANE’S. Just called after being turned down at Arrow, and they let me know they keep 2-3 stylists available for walkins. Hope that helps someone else!Don’t even try without an appointment. They’re always totally booked even though they advertise walk-ins. Very disappointing. I will never be going to this place again.

I generally get my haircut by Chelsea who has always be a pleasure to work with. I have had my hair cut by a few of the other ladies when shes needed to be out, and they have all been great. Theyve all been knowledgeable and willing to work with and/or change to what you want. The price is a bit higher than some of the general places around, but for the difference in quality its definitely worth it. They sell some products too and were able to recommend something thatd work way better with my hair.

As a woman who has worn her hair short for many years, it is often hard to find someone who really understands short hair. Today was my first visit to Arrow. Becca did an awesome job. I will be back again, and again, and again. I must say, I look marvelous.

All are skilled. Friendly, like they offer you a beer as soon as you walk thru the door. Im in and out in under 30 and I always leave pleased with the results.

This is the only place I get my hair cut any more. Love the atmosphere, and I havent had an unfriendly stylist or a bad haircut. Plus, free beer. And they give a veterans discount, which is always appreciated. Scheduling on line is easy, quick, and hassle-free, and they take reservations about ten days out, so there shouldnt be any reason to walk in.

Always a great place to get a haircut. Front staff is always attentive and all the hair stylists are always on top of their game. The complementary beer is a plus, but the meticulous attention to detail is the absolute cherry on top of the whole experience of getting a haircut at Arrow.

Ive gotten two haircuts here - first with Katie, second with Becca - and have been satisfied both times. They were able to listen to my vague description of I wanted, and then gave me better than I wanted. The beer was a nice touch, too! Make sure you get there early if its the weekend as Cameron Village can get a little crazy on parking.

I myself am a barber. I went in just to check it out and to get a haircut for the heck of it. All but one was an actuall barber. My haircut was pretty decent. The fade I got was blended exceptionally well. As for the detail part it wasnt that sharp. She had no idea how to lineup my hairline or beard with a straight razor. I do give her and others in there some respect though. They are better than most other barbers in the Durham or Raleigh area. Ive gotten some jacked up fades around here.

Im not sure if it was simply the hairdresser I was assigned and her personal opinions at play, but she seemed completely against doing anything I requested. Ive gotten my hair cut very short in a guys cut before in California and had zero issues before, but I was asked questions like Have you ever done this before? and Does your boyfriend know youre doing this?. She did offer to go shorter at a later date if I wanted it, but I would have liked to get the cut I wanted during my first appointment, since thats what I asked for in the first place. She did cut my hair, but it wasnt short enough or styled the way I asked initially, so I felt a little weird about the whole experience.

Do not expect to walk-in to this barbershop as they specify on their website. I walked in to four barber chairs full on clients, no one waiting at 6pm, when they close at 8pm, to be informed that they had 3 appointments for the rest of the day and that I would have to make an appointment for three days in advanced. Really disappointed because I drove 45 minutes just to try this barbershop out. I understand that I should just get an appointment next time, but if there are 4 barbers and only 3 appointments over 2 hours, that just doesn’t add up to me.

Really great service. Friendly, greet you with a smile, cold beverage of your choice and a great haircut for not a lot of money. After one visit, they won me over. They take walk ins, but if you are in a hurry, make an appointment, especially if you want a shave.

Had a great experience. I had originally booked an appointment at 530, or so I thought. Got there at 5:20 and they couldnt find me in the system. I check my email and low and behold the time says 5:00. Zena let me know that they are booked up all night, but I was welcome to wait for any cancellations or if someone was able to finish a cut early. To pass the time I drank a fat tire and thumbed through Dwell magazine. Zena was able to get me in the chair and gave me a nice low guard fade. I am very happy that she was able to fit me in and make sure I was taken care of. Thanks gals!

Called this afternoon around 4:45 to ask if I needed an appointment since this was to be my first visit. Was told that it was not needed that they did take walk-ins. Told the young lady that I was heading that way and should be there in about 15 minutes. When I arrived I was told that I was welcome to wait to see if they could get to me that the barbers worked primarily by appointment. I explained that I had just called and much to my surprise the young lady I was talking with was the one I had spoken with earlier. I asked how long it would be and was told that she wasnt sure if they would be able to get to me but if someone didnt make their appointment I would be worked in. Then another gentleman sitting nearby told me he had been waiting for 2 hours. I did not wait and I will NEVER give them another try!! One of the worst customer service experiences Ive ever had!!!

Finally found my place for consistently good haircuts! Buzz cuts are only $15 w/razor finish and 12oz beer included! Beard details and shaves available. Call ahead; theyre always busy. Chelsea is my barber, and shes yet to do me wrong. If they dont mess w/success, Arrow has a customer for life (or as long as Ive got hair to cut, LOL!).

The tipping system is awful. They need to change it to dollar amounts. Selected the greatest value which only let me tip $5. Realized afterwards i could have tipped more. Felt bad for my hair stylist and it made me look bad. What kind of person only tips $5 for a good haircut. Someone needs to set the default square reader tip section to dollar amounts like coffee places have started to do.

Tried three times to get a haircut at any of their Raleigh locations. Their website advertises walk-in customers are welcome, but that is not true. Love the concept but they simply dont staff enough stylists to accommodate their advertising.

I used to think it was an ok place to get a woman haircut, but after last time I won’t recommen this place to anyone, we had a young girl do our haircuts, she definitely didn’t have any idea what she was doing, zero technic and lack of vision, I shouldn’t let her cut my hair after seen the poor job she did to my daughter, I had to go to another salon after my haircut to fix the poor job she did on my, I’ll not comeback again to this place.

This place overcharged me for an old fashioned shave where an inexperienced barber unapologetically cut up my face leaving me burning, bleeding and with scabs for days. Poorly maintained razors, and no training or skill. The owner wouldnt offer to make things right. Never again. Try at your own risk.

Brought my son in as a walk in an hour before closing. Apparently they dont like to make money because they told me they were booked the rest of the night. They gave me the number for downtown which in turn was worthless because they dont answer phones even though theres a receptionist. I would have loved to sit down for a beer as I waited for my sons haircut, but they didnt give us a chance. Poor customer service and bordering on ageist.
