Estimate was given very quickly over the phone without any visit needed, they seemed to only need the square footage or the number of vents in the house. Their technician, Ivory, was running a few minutes behind the scheduled time but he made sure to call me right before the initial scheduled time to inform me he was running late. He showed up and got to work as soon as I showed him the vents in question, he didnt need much more input on how to get access and where to get power, he seemed to be a great -self-starter- and got to work very promptly. Apparently my air vents and ducts were fairly clean but I was very glad they were able to clean out and check my dryer vents while we were here. It was only then since we bought the house three (3) years ago that the previous owners had the dryer vents improperly installed! Either way, the bill was well worth the peace of mind to have the most clean air possible for our 7 month old son.

I hired The Mad Hatter for a chimney inspection and paid $89 for 15 minutes of work which basically included shining a flashlight up the chimney, looking around, and opening/closing the damper handle. No inspection of the exterior.The technician was friendly and professional, so no problem with that.

Thought I had a chimney sweep for a great price. They ended up just using a big brush from the bottom of the chimney... My house has smelled worse then it did before the cleaning for a few weeks now

We used The Mad Hatter Air Duct Cleaning & Chimney Sweep for a chimney sweep and to get our dryer and air ducts cleaned over two separate appointments due our personal schedule. They were flexible, accommodating, showed up on time, worked efficiently, very nice and polite people! Tony is always a pleasure to speak to! Everyone who arrived for service was knowledgable, kind, wore face masks the entire time, and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Mad Hatter was easy to schedule and they did a great job. We had something come up after they had already started cleaning our ducts, and they were so nice about having to stop and reschedule. Very friendly professional and prompt!

I would not recommend this service provider due to poor communication. I had submitted a request for a Chimney with a Wood Fire Stove affixed to it to be swept. It was not until the technicians arrived (they were very nice, professional and apologetic) at my home that I was told it would not be possible for them to clean the Chimney BECAUSE the Wood Fire Stove is attached. If you are looking for a service provider to clean your chimney and wood fire stove, do not utilize this group. I would also recommend that in any communication with this company you ensure scope of work is very clearly confirmed both in writing and by phone before the technicians arrive. The company also did not offer a discount of any kind and was unable to recommend a different provider to me for the service I had hired them for when they could not proceed with completing it.

Recently moved into a rental house with a wood burning fireplace. Waited until the first cold day of fall (like an idiot) before trying to book a chimney inspection/cleaning. Called a bunch of places and these guys were the only ones able to make it out less than two weeks later! Very friendly and professional, and also honest about the chimney (only charged me for the inspection because apparently the chimney was incredibly clean!) Also SO polite when it came to coordinating payment through our property managers. 6 out of 5 stars!!

Love this company and they are amazing to use

We are extremely pleased with the 2 person crew of Ivory and Travis. They arrived promptly at the appointment time, performed a quick survey of the house, set up their equipment, and immediately went to work to clean the air ducts some of which had to be accessed via the underfloor crawlspace and in the attic. They performed their work quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after themselves so that it did not appear anyone was even here.

We have been using The Mad Hatter at the apartment community I manage for over 10 years, and they have always taken excellent care of our chimney and air duct needs. Their team always shows up time, deals well with the residents, and always cleans up after the project. Never hesitate to contact these guys for chimneys, dryer vent cleaning, or air duct cleaning!

Both were highly professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and did an amazing job on both services. I left work early for a Friday 4:00 pm appointment. No one showed up. Called and left message and here it is Monday afternoon and no word. No need for them to bother to call now. I just made an appointment with someone else. So much for their Angies List rating!!

Lance and Ivory cleaned the chimney and fireplace, provided safety tips and found a crack in the back wall. They cleaned up and after they left, i think my floor was cleaner than when the started!!Lance told me to make sure I was comfortable with their price of replacing the back wall by shopping for pricing, however, this is the 2nd time Ive used Mad Hatter and the trust is worth a lot. They will be back to fix my back wall.

I based my one-star decision and rating not on the work that they do but how one of their vans was just traveling down led mine road driving very aggressively.
