I love everything about this store! Everything is well organized and clean! They take special care to sanitize each and every cart! I notice them doing this each time and I go there once or twice a week. Their prices are very fair compared to goodwills sudden high spike in spices. I go to all thrift store locally and this one is by far my favorite! Customer service is wonder from my experience, everyone is super friendly. Very happy they moved from Kent to south hill!

Prices were very reasonable. Items were displayed in an organized manor. Employees were friendly and helpful. Everything was great until i went around back to pick up the bed frame i had purchased and had to wait in a line of cars dropping off goods that had truckloads full and no employees were helping them unload. I could see my bed frame outside and asked if i could load it up and go and they said no, i had to wait for the vehicle in front of me to move forward. I waited 40 minutes to load the bed frame by myself and then waited 10 more before the truck in front of me moved so i could drive out. This was the most unorganized process for picking up Ive ever seen. The employees were not helpful in this area at all.

New! Looks great! Easy shopping finding things you might like.Right now with COVID-19, anyone wanting to donate items has to go online their website to book an appt via Eventbrite to deliver. Dont go without an appt. Very easy to do. This will save you headaches when going there to donate. Im glad Deseret Industries is back with a new location!

This is a great thrift store! I used to go here all the time to get yarn for our student knitting club. The students (& teachers) made scarves for homeless folks, & we went through a lot of yarn! I could always find a good selection & great prices. NOTE: THE STORE IM REFERRING TO IS AT *17935 AURORA AVE N.* I have no idea why my review is linked to the Puyallup store. Ive never been there.

Great place to get gently used or new disconnected items. Prices are very reasonable for most things offered. Get clothes for my granddaughter and even found some very nice tops for me. Of course had to check out toys, too. Great furniture offers too. Still eyeing a (new) bunk bed set.

Ive shopped here for about 5 years, give or take. Its so worth the drive from Tacoma to buy jeans for as little as $4. They have a huge womens department. Love their book selection. And staff is always friendly and approachable.

This is, by far, the best thrift store around. Want a couple examples? Today, I found an unused Yankee Candle for $2. Beautiful queen-size quilt with matching shams-$12 total. Gorgeous old light fixture for my daughters room-$8. Multiset of milk-glass mixing bowls with pouring spouts-$5. The list goes on... Kind & caring employees... Clean and organized merchandise. Deseret Industries is a true gem. Resellers KNOW this store and arrive early every morning. New merchandise is put out all day. Check out their only other location in Washington... Over in Shoreline...

Went to drop off donations this morning. The attendant did not seem interested in helping an elderly woman right away. He rejected a Christmas wreath and a decorative Christmas Tree. He opened her back door without asking her as she started to pull away, he then promptly but those back in her car. I walked over prior to that to hand in my donation, his demeanor was rude. My question is, since when has this place refused holiday decorations?

This place is great and takes most household items. Wonderful people that work there. They Have helped us get rid of a lot of things

Now this is what you call a THRIFT store! prices are all very reasonable for tops and jeans and what i consider thrift prices...almost every clothing rack is color coordinated and there are employees bringing out new stuff all the time. very organized and clean store, even the bathrooms were squeaky clean LOL great selection for everyone. they are moving from this location to somewhere in puyallup...will be moving at the end of 2019/start of 2020 (just a heads up!). we will definitely be visiting the new store next year!

DI is the most genuine thrift store out there. Always great deals. Especially if your looking for work clothes or to furnish your house. Its always an uplifting experience. Said a prayer before going in and my whole family found everything we were looking for that day. Thank you

Love deseret, very accepting of most donations such as large furniture and appliances. Very reasonably priced, great mission and community oriented. Be aware new donations hours are different from store hours!

We love this place. Who knew a thrift store could feel so warm, especially during the holidays. Theres a feeling of home. The employees are the kindest. If only all department stores could be like them. The store is clean, which very uncommon for a thrift store, which actually makes us feel were not in a thrift store. Great prices and professional environment.

My Favorite Place! I try and think of reasons to stop in and check on the new selections arriving what seems to be constantly. People here are all fantastic. Relaxed environment, easy to spend hours just browsing and chatting with everyone. I leave here with a smile every time. Wish there were more places like it!

Awesome store, staff, merchandise and value. Consistent pricing, less arbitrary than their better known rivals, but still some treasures to be found at garage sale prices. Kind of the opposite of Goodwill, theyre staying true to the original mission of thrift stores, serving both the needs of their charities, and the tight budgets of their customers. Love this place!

Wonderful prices to stretch the budget dollar. Staff is exceptionally kind and helpful. I watched as a mentally challenged woman came into the store who was upset as she had become incontinent. The Staff immediately came to her aid, addressed her needs, and quickly cleaned up the floor. The woman was very grateful and was treated with kindness and respect in a very socially awkward moment. I was so pleased with the kindness and care the Staff offered her.

I love this place and by all my non work clothes here. Always have something I cant live without especially with the cheap prices. I found me a gem there recently, a pair of original fit Wrangler jeans (before they became cheap and made in another country) and I only paid $3 for them! Some of my favorite clothes have come from here. I wouldnt trust the electronics though....

Cheaper than goodwill and they actually take all your donations. Good will only wants nice stuff while Deseret Industries take everything and donate the worn stuff to poor countries.

Not a good place to go right now a family stays there all day every day taking things off all the carts when they come out. No great finds anymore these guys get them. Took the fun out of going there. Management wont do anything to fix it.

Their prices are better than other charity thrift stores and they have quality goods. I appreciate the fact that the store offers work training in other fields to its employees so they leave after their year prepared to be self sufficient and well qualified.

Was just in there about to spend $200 on furniture when the owner walked up to my friends to tell us that we were not allowed to have her service dog with her.She is her ESA dog, they said they do not support “EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS” that she is not a Service Animal!!! She is not providing a service. They do not support SERVICE ANIMALS. So I denied them my money for the purchase and walked out.

Thought I was in the SLC. Seems the Mormons have expanded. Been DIn since I was a kid. This is a Mormon / LDS ran operation. This store is Small but staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Now if we can just separate church n state.

Yesterday I purchased New with original tags True Religion shorts and New with original tags Christian Dior bathrobe from the DI. You have to look through the racks but there are deals to be had. My total was only $11 dollars for $259 worth of Designer Merchandise

Prices have gone up. Kids clothing selection is very picked over, out of date. Household items and books still an ok value.
