I took my grandsons in to get their har cuts. Lamar was great with them and did exactly what they wanted. One of them got just a regular high n tight military style and the other got an intricate design on the side. The price was a little high for just the regular cut, I paid $68 for the cuts and gave a$20 tip. I may be wrong. It was the first barber shop Id ever been in. So the price could very well be normal. All in all it was great! The only reason Im not giving 5 star was the price.

This service was above and beyond. Great conversation, educational advice on haircuts, & they have great knowledge on what works well with your type of hair and face/head shape. They were kind and considerate, and friendly smiles the entire visit. Would recommend Lamar to anyone I meet!

Mike is the BOMB! I have a difficult style that has been botched by 4 or 5 barbers in the past. He did an incredible job and Ive gotten multiple complements from others in my office. Ask for Mike!

I was scouting new barbers in the area, as my barber recently moved. Upon arriving, I noticed that this barber accept square, which was a sell point for me as most barbers only take cash. I asked the barber for a haircut and a goatee line up. During the course of this haircut, the barbers were slinging racial slurs related to the other barbers in the neighborhood. This was an immediate red flag for this business.Once finished, the barber said the total for the haircut was $35! Meanwhile, others were being charged $25 and accepted their credit card. However, for me they instructed me to the very back of their barber to use their own ATM machine (yet, another red flag).When I was looking at the goatee lineup, the barber was did not line it up in a straight line. It was crooked and really looked as if an amateur with a shaky hand was working on my lineup.

These guys are the best. My kids love them, they are funny, and they cut hair great. Dont try to walk in, just give them a call and get an appointment.

Staff bragged about how he had overcharged a client that had come in right before myself. As well, as I was getting my haircut he had been making fun of the client hairline and previous haircut, making the kid feel uncomfortable. I gave 2 stars because the haircut was done well, but was overpriced.

They are a very professional barbershop and the environment around the shop made feel like I was back at an old time shop we talked sports girl problems also joked a lot and spoke on stupid sh!t that’s been going on I liked the cut very much as they can line and fade their clients up very well I highly recommend you come to this shop

I took my son here. and we will continue to go back. I read the reviews and made an appointment as suggested. My son is a fidgety 5 year old boy and the barber had so much patience with him. When my son wanted something cool in his hair, I asked if he could do a line or something. He did something super cool and put a Nike Air symbol on his head. It looks amazing! My son wants to keep his hair like this forever. Affordable, patient, and super talented!

Great spot the barbers there are highly skilled, friendly, honest, and funny. They know what they are doing and are really professional. Their prices are, I must add that YOU HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!! I dont mean to yell but I cant emphasize this enough. I normally dont say this about barbers who require an appointment but with them I will definitely make the exception. They are worth it and I will definitely be back.

Yancy the owner is a professional and pays attention to detail unlike many barbers I have found in the area. Call ahead to make an appointment, they usually have availability that same day. It took a bit to get used to making appointments but I do it biweekly now and can always get the time and day I want. Ive been consistently satisfied for the past 6 months, I won’t get my haircut anywhere else.

My son has been getting his hair cut here by the owner since the shop opened! We have had nothing but positive interactions every time. All the barbers are great but each barber works on there own appointments so it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you call to schedule an appointment or call your barber directly to get on his schedule for the day. If you are looking for a walk in cut you may not be able to get in if there is NO availability. My best recommendation CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.

Not quite a regular, but i goes often. They prefer that you call in advance to set up an appointment, not a must though. You can walk in, you might have to wait a few but its chill. Enjoy some sports that will be playing or partake in the conversation that will most definitely be going on.

Got a really good cut

These guys do a great job and are very friendly. When my daughter got cancer, they shaved her head and gave her two Seahawks logos, one on the back and one on the side of herr head.

Took a while to find a shop that was good (great) for kids... but we found one! My 12 year old loves these guys! Theyre super personable, funny, smart, and know what theyre doing! ☺

Ive been coming here since December of 2018. Ive never had an issue here. Appoinment based (rightfully so) and the barbers are profeasional. They do a very good job and is very patient with my 10yr old son who absolutely hates getting his haircut... I couldnt any more satisfied with the work they do!!!

This place is a joke. Called to get pricing & they said $25 for an even cut & $10 to line up my goatee. Slightly more expensive than every place in the area, but Im willing to pay it because its the only urban barber in my neighborhood. I show up, 3 barbers slouching around, Im the only customer in the shop & the first thing they ask me is can we help you?If my Nappy head didnt answer that for them, I responded with, yeah, I need a haircut pointing to my head. So as Im looking around this shop (tall skinny dude w/ a black/mild, short skinny woman with a mini fro, & a chubby short Hispanic fella didnt even look my direction - none with clients) they say theyre by appointment only (never said this over the phone when I called). I asked when the soonest appointment is, they said in 30 minutes. 🙄🙄 The ONLY reason I inquired about them was Ive been tired of driving to Tacoma to get my hair cut and I was willing to pay a bit extra for convenience, but theres no way in hell Id ever entertain this establishment. Their business model is the most ridiculous Ive ever seen & Ive been going to various barbers across 5 states on the west coast.

Very poor place to get a haircut. The owner, I presume thats who he was, was very rude. Came by for a walk in haircut, as I read positive things on the review. I was sorely mistaken. The owner was rude, and unaccommodating. Promptly telling me to leave his place of business, and return when he had time. I will never be gracing this poor and hostile place of business again, I was treated poorly and like an inferior, and that is NOT okay in modern America. The BBB was called on this location as soon as I left. Go elsewhere, and get better service.

My wife called and made me an appointment here after Sport Clips in the Rainierview Marketplace screwed up my haircut bad. So bad in fact that when I took my hat off all of the guys had to stop and look at it. These guys did a way better job. Took their time and did it right. DO NOT GO HERE FOR A BEARD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Told dude what I wanted with pics and everything he said he could do it and then butchered my beard. I had to go home and fix it myself. It was cut way short and very un even. Lost 2 inches off the length and have to start over. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!

If your getting your haircut somewhere else Besides Lions Den Barbershop then im sorry but you are crazy. I recently moved around the downtown puyallup area and needed a haircut badly. So i went to the Lions Den for a quick trim and omg i was so in shocked due to the fact that the people in there are so freaking fantastic. The owner of that shop has heart, motivation and thrive. He spent so much time on my hair and so much work and detail into it. I have never in my life had my haircut like this and i have never been so happy in my freaking life seeing on how it turned out. I would say skill but honestly he put in his heart into it. I never felt so comfortable and warm feeling getting my haircut there. If you dont believe me then please contact me and i will take my time to visit you and tell you face to face. THUMBS UP!
