This review is not about the quality of service but it is about the ability to even get a haircut at this location..I tried doing a walk-in and was told 70 minute wait but that I can checkin via the website. Appears the only way to check-in early is to create an account. Why do I need to create an account just to get a haircut? All I want is a haircut not to share all my personal information.I tried to call the store for assistance, but it just rings and rings.

Thanks for such a great environment and the safety measures in place due to COVID-19. The team does a great job with haircuts and everyone always seems satisfied when haircuts are complete. Went in to get haircut at 9:10am. Place opens at 9am. I checked in on the app online. Doors are locked. 2-3 employees sitting in the back on their phones . I’m standing at the door, waving. They are pretending not to see me. Left and went to another barber shop.

Went with my son (5 years old) and had one of the worst experiences Ive ever had in any retail establishment. My son was scolded by the hair dresser because he didnt understand her instructions on how she wanted him to sit. This went on for about 15 seconds until I finally turned around and confronted her. I found out after that she told him she was in a hurry. I dont understand the hurry, but I do understand that my son feels like he did something wrong and an adult spoke to him harshly. After that, she rushed through the haircut and when she took him back for the shampoo he ended up wet from his head to his knees. Not just a little wet, soaked. She then cleaned up the cut, and sent him on his way without any explanation or apology or anything. He was very upset after this and doesnt understand what he did wrong. heartbreaking to have some random adult (I paid) just break him down. I am not very confrontational and was just leaving it there but my wife went back to get some sort of explanation and was told that he wouldnt listen during the cut or put his head in the right place for a shampoo. He has had his hair cut every 5 weeks for at least 4 years and we have never had any issues at all. I will not be back to this location ever and I cannot believe that this happened and I paid for it.

This place is awesome. I used to go to GC, but when I tried Sport Clips Haircuts definitely saw the great difference of having a great costumer service. People there are nice and try really hard to make you feel comfortable. Definitely going back there.

Do not get your haircut here I asked for a half an inch on the top and a 1 too 2 fade and I came basicly bald. My hair is about three different lengths all around and I am bald in some places. The girl who cut my hair needs to get fired because this is nowhere near what I asked for. She started cutting my hair from the top first and just shaved from front to back using a half guard. There was nothing I could do to fix it so just asked her to shave it all even. And she still couldn’t even do that ? Like why does she even have a job I have about 4 patches of long hair and 3 spots that are bald and the rest is a buzz cut please do not get your haircut here unless you want somebody with absolutely 0 experience on cutting hair

Poor quality hair cutHad to have bangs straightened, side burns were only partially trimmed and had to be recut by daughter. Will not go back, price of 25 is not worth it... should be $5 for that type of hair cut, not sure of quality experience is required by company or just let it be heuristic.

Received the absolute worst haircut at a Sportclips thus far. I have received Sports Clips haircuts in multiple states (CA they give you a massage!) for years and love the quality at the Federal Way location for the last 5 years (Tabitha is the best!). With Covid restrictions coming, I went to my nearest location as my usual stylist wasnt working that day....mistake. Make sure to do your research on whos who here, their hiring process obviously isnt too solid....no line up throughout nearly all of my hairline, and the minor part she did do (25% of my neckline)..... was crooked...This is a failing grade at barber college kind of bad. Also, asked for a fade or blending, nope, all one guard along the head....and the one portion of the top of my head, I specifically asked her to mind...she clipped it the exact way I asked her not to. Definitely the worst haircut Ive had in years and years. This is a new store, and they wont be around long with restrictions and these poor reviews from others. The franchise owners need to start double checking their investment...try not to get Maryanne if you have a choice (I believe this was her name)

The stylist and my haircut were the only awesome thing, IMO. They dont take appointments, you just have to go in and wait (in my case, 50 minutes).Her buzz razor was too sharp and scraped my neck (until I asked her if it was supposed to be like that).Screaming kids in the waiting room the whole time. Not a relaxing experience. I will try one more time, because I like the stylist. Maybe the ambiance will be better my second time

First off... I dont do reviews often but Zorania deserves this review.This is the second time I have gotten my haircut by Zorania and the first time Ive requested her. She did sooooo well the first time I wanted her to cut my hair again. She is that stylist that you can trust to say do what you think will look good on me. She holds herself to such a high standard that the haircuts are better than perfect! TREAT HER WELL!

Under new ownership, first time at a Sport Clips.The process was fairly straight forward, check in is a easy process on the app. When you get to the store, you see many signs about masks etc. You have to knock on the door to be seen. When I knocked Aubri came up wearing a mask and asked me a couple of Covid questions and then took my temperature. I walked in and there was distance observed between the different stylists.I got a pretty standard cut and Aubri was pretty friendly, the NBA was on the TV and I asked if they could put Hockey on and the obliged!The MVP treatment gives a nice hot facial towel and shampoo massage in a massaging chair, it was relaxing and I almost fell asleep.I had a wonderful and safe experience and will definitely be going back!

I booked on line I called and they said come on in you are on top of the list. When I got there they could not find me on the list and when they did they told me to wait in my car. After 10 minutes I left worst service ever...need to teach your staff customer service waste of my time

How I look at going to get your haircut is to be something you enjoy, and this definitely happens here. I like to go to the places that give you a bit extra, here they went above and beyond I got warm towels, a head rub, a massage from a massage chair, and a friendly stylist when I went in for just a haircut. Id recommend going here i think this will be my new place and thankfully its a large chain. Haircuts range from 20-30 depending on tip and what extra things you get, but its well worth it.

I am 70+ which means 100’s of hair cuts in my life. So it is with a great deal of certainty that I tell you that I received the worse hair cut at the Puyallup sports cuts of my entire life!!! If it was possible to give them 0 or minus stars, I would have. The lady who cut my hair was either blind or the most incompetent hair stylist on earth. Needless to say not happy and definitely would not recommend!!!!!!

Checked in online like I always do, and arrived 10 minutes early. After waiting for over 30 minutes (no biggie, I understand its an estimate), I was informed that someone had fallen off the list and was being put back in front of me. It would have been nice if one of the staff had mentioned this change would happen while I was waiting. Ill miss Sarah, but the other reviews are pretty accurate (Sarah and Lisa are worth 5 stars, but cant compensate for deficiencies mentioned in other reviews)

The lady completely messed up my hair. This is not the only time that someone here has done this. But this does it for me. On the left side of my hair it is about 1 and a half inches and on the other side it is about half of a inch. Definitely do not recommend this place.

The free lineups in between haircuts and the cleanliness and professionalism of this staff makes this establishment well worth it. The strings or the fabric that holds space time together (M-Theory) would be the energy that creates the attraction that holds your biological vessels quantum particles together and gives it mass so it can be a watchman and perceive time. Without that Quantum entangled attraction (strings of energy) that holds all mass together it would just return to the light where space has no time.

Loved everything except the haircut. I asked for a low fade and got a high and tight. Had to have her trim the top shorter to compensate for the raised fade. Now I look like I just got outta basic training. Was a cool experience to try out with the massage chairs n stuff, but all I wanted was the haircut I asked for.

Nice haircut, no waiting

I just took my son down for a haircut. I asked Grace to barely cut anything off the top and use a number 3 on the side and fade it up. She took over an inch off the top and did not fade his sides. Then I paid 27.00 for the service and left a 5.00 tip. There was no shampoo just a haircut for 27.00. Then I look online after I just left and a haircut is 20.00 so I paid an extra seven for nothing and my son is upset because she did not cut his hair like we asked. I understand that not everyone cuts hair like someone likes but to overcharge me 7.00 is ridiculous. See Sarah or Lisa if you want a good cut and not to be overcharged. There is a reason why they have such a long wait.

Asked for a low fade, received a high fade. Completely murdered my look. I look like Bert and Ernie the cartoon characters. Barber lacked any sort of finesse. Will definitely stick to the ma and pop Asian barbers who are actually skilled.

Lets face it, the most important thing is the quality of the cut. This location of Sports Clips has never disappointed there. I always leave with a great cut that still looks great without me having to use a ton of product the next day.The shampoo and hot towels while a game is playing are also nice touches to make the chore of getting a haircut actually enjoyable!

Top notch service and professionals. Jen did a great job on my haircut when I was in last. I really like sport clips because no matter who cuts my hair they always get it right. I have going to sport clips for a while now and I will never go anywhere else. They know how to take care of customers. So many perks like the massage chairs, the hot towels, sports on tv and great staff....simply the best.

I always get great haircuts here and I have a tricky style. Never had a haircut as good as here. But dont bother signing in before hand. I check in because I want a specific stylist that always does great. But if someone is waiting even if I checked in they pull them back knstins of me . Its policy per the website for them to wait up to 30 minutes for you. So Ill be there on time and still have to wait half an hour

They haircuts are hit and miss. I’ve been sticking with them for a while. I’ll get a couple of good haircuts and then I’ll get a hacker. Everyone is nice but the wait is unbearable. I was almost ready to get my haircut and then the girl I thought would do it left. Then, believe it or not the next to last person left was done with her shift. Now only one person was left by herself.Totally understaffed. Poorly managed.I won’t be back. Today was the last straw.

Staff is nice but they are really slow. There was 2 people in front of me and I waited almost an hour before I was seen. I just needed a simple fade. If you are in need for a quick haircut on the go then you definitely don’t want to stop here. If you are in need of some style and customizations then this place will do that for you. They take care of the one on the chair. I only stopped by because I had a coupon for a free haircut. I ended up only spending $5 for the haircut because that was the tip I left. But the regular price they charge for a haircut isn’t worth the wait for a quick simple on the go haircut.

I come back every 6-8 weeks and its different every time. They cant seem to get or hold on to good hair cutters. Today I got the worst hair cut Ive ever had in my life. I told the gal that I wanted to have a scissor cut short for a trip I had coming up. She said she would make me look good. OMG she was way off bye the time I realized shed shaved my head. I will never ever go back ever. Im a 62 year old man and I know how I like my hair cut.

Checked in online line like I always do. Arrived 10 mins early for my appointment. Walked out after 30 minutes after the appointment ahead of me walked in. Apparently Sport clips gives you a 30 min grace period to show up. Why even have appointments? If you cant respect my time, I will take my money somewhere else.

My husband came in for a haircut and a beard trim. He ended up with Meka. Being that he loves his beard and works hard to keep it nice, he asked if she was good with trimming beards. She reassured him that she was......NOPE!!! She decided to completely change the shape of it, it looks hideous!!!! He asked for a trim, not a whole new style!!! A bad one at that!!! Not only that, but she messed up his hair too. One side was faded way too high not even matching the other side. We’re leaving for vacation in a couple days and he has to shave is beard completely off!! Now he’s gonna be self conscious in all our pictures. He was too nice to say anything to her, so now we’re out $40 and his beard. Thanks a lot. A warning to all future customers: steer clear of Meka!

I asked for a Medium Skin fade and I ended up walking out with a terrible skin high fade with a patchy trim on top. I can’t even style my hair how I want to without it looking like garbage. I wish I remembered my stylist but I think her name was Lisa, either way she was absolute trash. I am very disappointed with my cut today. So be careful who is cutting your hair.

I have been going to this place for about 2 years the first year was a roller coaster of service some good and some bad haircuts, then Sarah cut my hair. Thank god now I have someone who can give me a consistent great hair cut. SARAH that’s the one I use.

Wish I could give it zero stars. Took my son, 5, here and my wife noticed that the lady cutting his hair was being insanely rough moving his head around.So she calls the lady out on it who said he wasnt doing what she wanted yet she never once asked him to do anything.Id understand a little if this was some younger worker who never worked with kids before, but then she goes on to say that she has 3 kids herself.. Frankly its inexcusable to see someone who has delt with kids my age at home cant understand the simple concept of communication.Suffice it to say we will never be returning here and I recommend other parents find more affordable, and more friendly places to get your kids a haircut.

My husband goes here ALL the time and gets the same high fade every time and for some reason today they decided to give him a $47 haircut without asking and it’s unfortunate that they made him pay knowng damn well he didnt ask for it. On top of that his haircut looks terrible!!! Not impressed will be taking my money elsewhere.

Never had a bad experience here. The staff is always very welcoming and I have not walked away with a bad haircut. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is very expensive for a haircut. I almost gave it 3 stars for the price alone but kept it at 4 because, like I wrote earlier, Ive never had a bad experience.

Their Google site says Make Appointment and then gives a Web site followed by the Phone number. I called the number to make an appt. and was told they don’t take appointments by phone. I said that their Web site does Not say that and in fact it lists both ways to make an appoint. They hung up on me... If this is how they do business then I hope they go Under soon...

Ok I will start off by saying that the female who cut my hair was extremely nice and the receipt said the name was “Johnie” I do not know if that’s a training name or if that’s her real name. But this is the worst hack job I’ve ever gotten. When I say a little off the top and receive a buzz cut I am not happy. If she only knows how to do buzz cuts she should disclose that. She needs additional training or should just be honest with her lack of skills. I get it this is a hair cut chain but you should at least get what you ask for. I wish the you get what u pay for was true is this case but I did not get a $24 hair cut. I should have turned my child loose with clippers on my head and receive the same results.This pertains to the store itself. They charge $24 for a hair cut, shampoo, and steam towel. So even if u deny the service of a shampoo and towel they still charge you the full $24. I wish this was disclosed somewhere. This place is a rip off. There’s absolutely no reason to charge someone $24 for a cheap buzz cut.I will NEVER be back and will NEVER recommended sports clips to ANYONE.Unsat!

Good, very nice staff. Only complaint is they have 8 chairs but only 3 stylist. We had to wait an hour. Weekday middle afternoon. They need to plan better for customers.

Very upsetting service. My son is 5 years old and the lady who cut his hair a few days ago was very rough. My son is delayed and wont speak up for himself. I sat in the waiting area allowing my son to not have a helicopter mom. I was in complete view of him and the lady cutting his hair. She pulled his head back and pushed it forwarded in a rough manner. I told my husband and said maybe Im just being to protective. SHE DID IT AGAIN! I got up to and told her and said can you quit pulling on my sons head? She said oh sorry he wasnt.... Blah blah blah. Hes 5 and the sweetest boy in the world! Never once did I see her mouth move to ask him to adjust his head she just jerked his head several times. I told her I would be standing right there watching. (should have asked for someone else). Im heart broken as I already have to worry about him and how he deals with certain situations and to see this and my son just being a victim due to his communication delay hurts my heart more than you know. I would absolutely NEVER recommend this place. Im sure the other ladies might have been OK but one bad Apple ruined our experience and I will be happy to tell others to stay away!

My family and I all get our hair cut here but theres always long wait times. Today its over 1 1/2 hours for a haircut for me and my son. According to there website the other location are under 20 minutes. They need to have more stylist staffed to cover demand.I came in thinking on a Wednesday that the would be slow, nope 1 1/2 wait. Only 2 stylist available with 6 people waiting. Whats up with this place why are the wait time so out of wack from the other locations. But perhaps a better question is why is this location sooo poorly staffed.11/3 @ 8:45 my son and I arrive to the Puyallup store for haircuts. The manager doesnt show up till 9, the store opens up @ 9.she does not apologize for arriving late just looks upset/irritated to be there. This location needs to be better managed.

Lady did a crappy job and needed to have another person come help, even after she tried to fix my hair the damage was done! Totally lopsided and a really crappy job.They turned my head into a teachable moment.She said she would give a discount because I was unhappy and took $3 off, the same amount as the coupon I had on me.$21 bucks for a bad haircut!I will never go back!There have been good people there but there seems to be a high turnover rate and you never know who or what you will get.That place is awful go anywhere else and either save some money or get a decent cut!

They did a REALLY great job on my sons hair. Only thing I was a little frustrated with is they give you a line up when it will be your turn. My sons was 13 minutes. I left him with his dad to go get birthday presents was gone a half hour and when I came back they were still waiting. I dont mind waiting just dont under quote your times.

Went in looking to get my normal haircut and my beard trimmed down on the sides without losing any length. Forgot the ladies name that did my hair, but she did a horrible job. My hair line was all jacked up, none of her lines were straight or even, and she put a 90 degree angle in my beard. Like how do you manage to do that? And only on one side. Needless to say I went and found a better shop thats way cheaper. Never going back there again.

I went in to get a haircut, knowing at places closer to my home that theyre usually quality cuts. The lady that I ended up with didnt listen to my requests whatsoever, I offered if she wanted to see pictures. She didnt even respond. She cut my hair way shorter than I asked for. What she really did was whatever she wanted, but since she didnt communicate I wasnt sure if she had a plan. This was the WORST cut Ive ever gotten and it took nearly an hour for next to nothing

I love the place when I get in, but they always mess up my online reservations, the online wait times are never accurate, and when I try to walk in they are so understaffed that its always over an hour wait. Skip the hassle and go to Hairmasters nearby next to Fred Meyer, youll be glad you did

I have been here a few times and not once have I enjoyed it. All three times I got the top tier haircut and all three times my hair looks terrible. I have been to other sports clips that do a much better job. Also last time I went the person doing my hair was very rough and seemed like she wanted me out of the chair. I do know it gets busy but that doesnt excuse me being rushed. I will not be returning to this location.
