Beautiful locale for weddings or other events. Its a beautiful manor with multiple rooms for any type of event. They have a great outdoor space with lovely views of the water. The rooms are pre-war magnificent with high ceilings and fireplaces. Theres plenty of parking. Rooms are big. Our event had 75 people who comfortably fit into one of the rooms for dinner. A second room had the buffet set up and a third room was for cocktails and dancing. Theres a large grassy outdoor area as well as a canopy covered outdoor area. Its a beautiful place that looks elegant and is located in a great place. Its somewhat secluded, so you feel like youre away from society to have your own private event. The staff that was there were very friendly and accommodating.

Glen Manor House is an absolute dream of a venue - even on a cold rainy day like the one A & Z had! The portico and covered patio ensured we still had natural light and beautiful backdrops for the ceremony and portraits. The rooms are full of history and character and the architectural details inside and out on the house bring interest and beauty to the wedding day. The team at Glen Manor is professional and helpful and truly committed to ensuring the couple has a stress-free day from start to finish.

Glen Manor is absolutely beautiful. It truly is a chateau by the sea. From the gardens, terrace, house itself, it is perfect for a wedding. The bridal suite overlooks the water and is the perfect size for any bridal party. Katie was amazing to work with. She expertly organizes all the details to make your day perfect. She was so helpful with all our questions and changes due to COVID. We ended up postponing from Oct to June and it was a great decision. Through all the changes Katie was there to ease our minds and help us with everything! On the big day she was there to make sure everything fell in to place beautifully. She is absolutely amazing!

Omg, what a beautiful and extravagantly visual place for a private wedding. You have the entire place to yourself. Borders scenic waterways and bays. Cant do better anywhere in the area, state, region or country.

Wow! We went to a BEAUTIFUL wedding here. The views of the water, the gardens, everything is beautiful. One downside is of course there is no AC but the large doors allow for nice ocean breezes.

Stunning Mansion Style Event Venue located directly on Narragansett Bay, just off of Route 138 in Portsmouth RI. Beautiful Gardens abound throughout the Estate. To me, it looks like it might have been a Family Home at some point in its history. The room layouts due lead to some isolation among attending parties in larger events. Instead of one Major Ballroom layout like most places have, Glen Manor has 4 separate rooms. One of the rooms is larger than the others, more or less a Mini Ballroom, which is where a Band would set up and people would use as the Dance Floor. Plenty of room for a Big Band and more than adequate dance floor. Big enough to place several smaller round tables around the edges for drinks or apertizers, but not tables where people would be seating and eating. Instead, the other three rooms is where your meals would be served. In addition, there is a beautiful outdoor room, under a canvas roof with very cool lighting, a room big enough for any Main Party to seat privately. Toward the back is the spectacular greenery and Garden area, and another outdoor covered patio, ideal for your Bar and serving apertizers. The apertizers where to die for, especially the Raw Bar, and the staff where all very friendly and helpful throughout the entire event. The main course, I think could have been better, so I was underwhelmed with that aspect of the place.The biggest downside was the lack of AC in any of the rooms, as all the rooms are designed to be open to taking in the stunning water and gardens views, but something one would really have to take into consideration in the hotter times of year, like July and August. Probably best when humidity is low and temperatures are moderate, early Fall and Late Spring for sure.Overall, a truly beautiful and impressive venue, with a very unique layout that many people can probably make work for them, as long as party size is not to large. It was my first time there, and Im glad to of had the opportunity to see it. I would have loved a tour of the upstairs. Certainly recommended for the right size event.

With views overlooking the waters and beautifully manicured grounds that flow with the season, Glen Manor is simple, elegant, and perfect when it comes to showcasing to friends and family what a wedding in Rhode Island is all about.With the benevolent Katie as the manager of the property and guide throughout the process, even on the day of our wedding, always attentive to our needs, even those of friends, family, and our vendors, answering questions at a moments notice, we were given an empty canvas to build and plan upon our dream wedding.What we loved about Glen Manor was not only its charm but amenities offered with consideration of inclement weather. Plenty of space to enjoy with separation between the dining and reception area, all while having an outdoor covered area to lounge. Something to keep in mind when it comes to the number of guests youre planning all while considerate of potentially having an indoor wedding.Three hours in advance to get ready, plenty of time before our ceremony and reception of 6 hours to do first-look photos. The grounds are fantastic for any wedding album. Roughly 170 guests in total, the space for the outdoor ceremony were plenty when facing the water, set in such a way we could walk in from the side without being noticed until walking up the aisle. The reception made up of rounds, the two of us having a sweetheart table set between the dining rooms. Two bars along with outdoor lounge furniture, bathrooms with plenty of space to offer personal amenities, parking on site with no issues and the ability to have transportation to and from the venue, Glen Manor was everything we couldve ever hoped for with our wedding and Katie was wonderful in working with us throughout the process.

Very nice wedding or event venue. We went for a wedding and the catering was very nice and the staff was right on spot. Only reason not a 5 star no air conditioning anywhere in the venue and it was 84 and humid so it was hot.

Beautiful spot, overlooked the ocean, you have to be ready for the Grass and soft soils for the ladies with steletos, but its worth it.great spots for pics of my beautiful nieces wedding.

During this difficult time with the virus, weve had to schedule and reschedule my daughters wedding. Katie has always been thoughtful, helpful, kind and caring. During this difficult time for weddings, Katie from Glen Manor has been extraordinary. She has done everything humanly possible to help my daughter schedule and Reschedule her wedding time and time again. Katie has not only been extremely accommodating, but emotionally supportive. Can’t say enough about Katie, not to mention how beautiful Glen Manor is.

Before we even got engaged, my husband and myself knew that we had to get married at Glen Manor. My family spends summers up there so we had driven by and seen how beautiful it was! Within a week of getting engaged I had called Glen Manor to begin the booking process and pick a date! We had a formal tour later in the Spring after booking and just fell in love all over again with the history and all the uniqueness -- from the separate ballrooms for eating and dining to the beautiful stairway for pictures -- you really feel like it is your OWN chateau for the day! From the first phone call to saying good bye to Katie the day after our wedding when we picked up everything we had left there, she was incredible. She is an absolute joy to work with and makes sure you are comfortable every step of the way. She is so well organized what what she needs from the brides that it made my job as a bride less stressful. Every note and detail I gave her she executed to perfection and was always ready should we need to make a decision on the fly. The venue is absolutely breath taking and we were scheduled to have our ceremony in the garden however it rained and Katie had a last minute idea to do it under the side awning off of the ballrooms where dinner is served since we had a smaller guest count. This was the first time she ever did it and it made our wedding so special and intimate! Glen Manor is gorgeous rain or shine and there are no shortages of places for perfect photos. All of our guests continue to rave about the Glen nine months later -- I cant thank Katie enough!!

So im here for the first time and its insane the manor its so huge looks like it came out of a history book or one of those scooby doo episdoes. And right behind the manor theres a cool beach. As of now i dont think its super full or packed but there are a few people around and i see allot of dogs too. If your into houses or manors or just love scenery this place is for you

Had av wedding at the place. Royalty should cover the description. Nice hall and service and lots of backyard options including the water front and benches to enjoy viewing the sunset.

There are not enough words to describe how absolutely perfect our daughters wedding reception was. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and Katie is the absolute best. It could not have gone any better than it did and Katie was a big part of the reason. She is amazing!

Open the doors and windows if you plan an event here in the summer because they dont run any Air Conditioners. Not even the shore breeze in Rhode Island can keep this place cool. Beautiful inside and out, this place is a great venue for a wedding or private large group party, in the fall or spring.

Attended the most beautiful wedding here on Memorial day weekend. This venue is gorgeous. The gardens are breathtakingly beautiful and the terraces, ball room, and two dining rooms were magical. The food was delicious, the string music heavenly, the drinks warming, the florals magnificent, and the DJ rocking. Congratulations tp Audra and Ed. Thank you for sharing you splendid evening.

Katie @ The Glen is amazing! My wife and I couldnt be more pleased with the service we received. All the caterers and photographers knew Katie and they worked together in perfect symphony. Couldnt have asked for more. Have your wedding at The Glen! Roseclif, the mansions and those other wedding factories are nice but The Glen is honestly magical and you wont find anything like it anywhere else, trust me we looked!
