Can’t speak on the dental care because unfortunately the incompetence of front desk employees prevented that. I called on August 25th and scheduled an appointment for October 1st. The evening before my appointment I was informed that there was an issue verifying my insurance (even though my information was correct. ) Because I was contacted about this after business hours, there was no way I could contact my insurance to help verify information. There were 25 BUSINESS DAYS between my initial call and the night before my appointment to fix any issues or contact me for additional help. How embarrassing for you all.

The service over the phone was not good. I have called before and have gotten a decent service, but I recently spoke to what sounded like an older lady who had a know-it-all attitude (but not in a good way). I wouldnt want future patients to be treated this way and feel for any that have already been treated like this. A simple question that required a simple answer turned into her negatively talking about unnecessary things.

I am a dental office manager for a dentist that is out of town for CE; I broke a molar that left it super sharp to my tongue and needed to have it addressed asap; upon contacting 4 other office that were either closed or too busy to work me in; Rose City Dental took care of my issue. This is by far the best dentist and dental office I’ve ever been to. Dr. Tae and the entire staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I transferred my dental care to Rose City Dental last year specifically to work on my first implant. Because this is an involved and potentially costly process that can take a year, I was looking for an experienced dentist that was also a good fit for me. After meeting with a couple of other dentists, I decided on Rose City Dental. Dr. Tae Lee and the staff have been absolutely wonderful to work with. They take time to listen to your concerns, get to know you, explain things and present options. I have found Dr. Lee and the staff to be patient, accepting, responsive, accommodating, generous with his time and mindful of peoples respective situations. These are all qualities that speak highly for Dr. Lee and staff. I am very satisfied with the level of care and my new implant that recently completed.

My son and I have been going to Rose City Dental for about 4 years. We actually look forward to our annual exams b/c the front desk staff is super friendly, kind and knowledgeable. We get the same dental hygienist most years and they are flexible in making both our appointments at the same time which is super convenient. The hours the staff keep are also convenient for working parents and Dr. Tae is super sweet and funny. Their waiting area, bathroom and dental rooms are all clean with the latest technology available. During COVID they were highly efficient, cleaned everything we touched and we felt safe. I see the same faces every year which tells me this is a good place to work and the office has a small family feel to it. I chose this dentist b/c it was conveniently located to our home. The only con is parking. The lot has about a handful of spots, but there is parking along 122nd.

I am beyond grateful for this place. My partner hadnt been to the dentist in 6 years so I made him an appointment. Hed been having some bad breath. I checked around to a lot of different places before this and I settled on this one because of the positive reviews. They did not disappoint, my partner had a great dental appointment. They even discovered four cavities and did a deep cleaning for their new customer, basic cleaning price. He had a ton of plaque build up on his teeth. He got back with a gorgeous smile. Ive never seen it so white. They also gave him resources for affordable dental insurance to fill his cavities. Couldnt recommend them more! Ill start going here too!

I recently tried to make an appointment but they would not book me because I had cancelled too many times due to fear from coronavirus. I wish I could go back to this office even though it is now across town from me. They referred me to Farmington Dental but I dont want to go. :(

Dr. Tae has been my dental care provider for four years now. Not one single visit has been anything less than superlative! I had an emergency, a filling had broken, and they scheduled me a morning appointment within 12 hours of my phone call. My smile was perfectly fixed in under 30 minutes! The receptionist staff is truly respectful and cordial. The hygienist is one of the most funny, personable ladies I’ve ever visited with, and the dental assistant is genuinely charming and adorable. Dr. Tae has always treated me with humility, constantly checking to make sure I’m not in pain. (I never am.) Not for nothing, but I went there prior to having any dental insurance and paid out of pocket for the first couple years, and they are priced very fairly and affordably in comparison to all others. SO... five stars for professionalism, affordability, and most of all their quality of service.

I called on a Saturday morning with an urgent issue. I did not really expect to be able to get in, but the office staff were kind and helpful. Scam artists. I was really surprised to hear that I had 7 cavities considering I never have had one prior to this visit. They fixed a couple on the spot and maxed out my insurance for the year. I moved so I decided to change dentists. Low and behold, no cavities! My new dentist said just be thankful they didnt do a bunch of work. Get a second opinion.

Dr. Tae is a master. Ive had dentist nightmares my whole life until now. So far this man has given me porcelain crowns, a root canal, fillings and even a bone graft for a implant! The first time in the dentist chair I felt like I was a friend and not a dentists torture victim. And thats huge. I trust him and feel comfortable with him and the whole crew at Rose City dental. The actual craft of dentistry is top notch as well :)

Dr. Jon Lee is the best dentist around. This place has took extra time and made my sons feel welcome and actually like going to the dentist which is big for us. I have had several experiences with some pediatric dentist that were not very helpful for my son who has had some bad experiences with dentist, Jon Lee has made my son feel save from the start which is great news for us he is very quick and understanding of my sons feelings unlike some other pediatric dentist we have dealt with and they were suppose to be good with kids. The best dentist around I even drive out of my way to his office just to get the service my kids deserve. Would highly recommend them to anyone. He also works with some union members to get better rates for services compared to other dentists.

Unethical business. They told me something wrong with my filling teeth then offered to fix them for free on the first visit at their clinic. 6 months later they told me the spot they fixed was broken and need to fill again. And tried to charge me & my insurance. Their staff are rude & lazy. My bottom teeth never got cleaned well between them even I told them the last person didnt do very well their job. I have tried their service for 2 years but never be satisfied. Absolutely will switch to another clinic next time.

I moved to Portland summer of 2014. I cracked my crown at work on a Friday, and Dr. John saw me the next day on Saturday even though I was a new patient. He was fast, humorous, and the office went out of their way to charge me as little as possible. Just recently I broke the tooth beneath the crown, and once again they were fast and helped reduce the cost significantly since I had just left my job and was uninsured. Probably the best dentist in the Portland metro area.

A very caring and passionate team of people. We found Rose City Dental when my son knocked his tooth out through the gums (yikes!) on a Saturday and this was the only place that understood the emergency nature and immediately made time for him in their busy schedule. They always remember us and have also worked with us when we had financial hardships. We dont live close by but its well worth the drive for such a lovely place.

I needed to find a dentist open on a Saturday to diagnose some pain I was having. RCD was able to get me in last minute, 15 minutes before closing. Had to come back for a root canal that wasnt done correctly at another provider before. Warm, friendly staff, and Dr. John is wonderful. If I wasnt moving out of state in a few days, he would be my new go-to dentist.

I did a lot of research before I chose Rose City Dental and I definitely made the right decision. I was in a time crunch to use my HSA funds and they bent over backwards to fit me in for the multiple appointments I needed. I was very worried about the cost and that it would be painful, but they had some great offers, check out the coupons on their website and the Dr was always stopping to check in as he went along. Highly recommend!

I had an urgent dental problem on a Saturday on Memorial Day weekend. I contacted my usual dentist but she did not offer to see me. I would have to wait until the following Wednesday. But the pain was excruciating and I wanted an assessment so that I could arrange for an oral surgeon quickly if I needed one. A friend found Rose City Dental for me so I called and they got me in that day. They had several emergencies but despite being very busy I did not have to wait long to be seen. Dr. Tae was so kind and the staff was very polite and helpful. He took time to assess the xray and explain his recommendation to have the tooth removed as soon as I could. He gave me an antibiotic oral rinse to use until then. Because I was able to get an xray and send it to my oral surgeon, she could see the urgency and scheduled me for immediate removal of the tooth. And the cost to see Dr. Tae was minimal. He only charged me for the xray and mouth rinse, not an additional office visit.

Dr. Tae is the best dentist I have ever been to (and Ive seen quite a few). Amazingly gentle, professional, and focused on quality work. I cant recommend this office enough!

I had to find a new dentist because my previous dentist retired. I discovered Rose City Dental in 2014 because of the convenient location, were part of my insurance in-network and they had open appointments that suited my availability. When I first walked into the office, I was greeted by the friendly staff. The waiting room was clean and modern, and short wait time.From the moment I met Dr. Tae Lee I knew he would be my primary dentist. Dr. Tae is so nice and very experienced in this field. His patients’ needs come first as opposed to making a profit, which is shown by his thorough explanations of available options without any pressure or guilt trips. He breaks down his observations as he reviews his findings. Even after I ran out of the allotted insurance coverage, he offers me a discount.Dr. Tae has a humorous personality, is always in a chipper mood, I always have a great conversation with him and he remembers our conversation, and will continue them the next time I visit. For a majority of the time I had Kristin as the dental assistant, who is one of the nicest people I’ve met. She is gentle and caring, and always follows up with me prior to Dr. Tae coming in.I get a cleaning twice a year. The hygienist is friendly and professional and gives me a goodie bag (toothbrush, toothpaste and floss) after each cleaning.All of the staff are pleasant and friendly, they know me by name and I feel like a valued patient at this practice. As a patient on the outside looking in, I can see the staff is one big family and shows true teamwork.Above all Dr. Tae treats his patients and staff with kindness and respect which is reflected by how the staff treat the patients as well. Each time I visit, I feel like I am part of their family. I am grateful to have found a trustworthy dentist for myself and my family, I plan to stay with Dr. Tae until he retires.

Dr Tae is the best. Almost 20 years ago, I had a very traumatic experience during periodontal surgery that left me with significant PTSD around dental work. I used to have anxiety attacks just thinking about calling for a check-up. My husband convinced me to go see Dr Tae, hubby has used him for years, and helped me set up the appointment. It had been 15 years since Id been in a dentists chair and there was some work that badly needed done. Dr. Tae and I worked out a plan for how we could take care of my teeth despite my PTSD. Ive been seeing him for a couple of years now and we have all the work done, so my teeth are saved. My gums are doing better too. The entire time, Dr. Tae has been gentle and respectful, watched me carefully to make sure Im ok, helped me laugh during appointments, and earned my trust. The dental work has been well done and hes very good at timing the Novocaine shot so its not painful. I recommend him without reservation.

Warning! Shady Business, Unethical Rude StaffIm in need of a dental implant after falling down the stairs onto my face. Im permanently disabled and have a traumatic brain injury which Rose City staff is well aware of. At the time of my visit, I was told I will need two implants, not one. It has since been confirmed by two other dentists three oral surgeons, two board members of the Oregon Board of Dentistry, an Endodontist and a Periodontist that I only need one implant.Dr. John was not confident in his ability to do the bone grafting sufficiently for one tooth and told me that he would only do the one implant if I signed a waiver stating I wouldnt complain about the work if complications arose in the future - Red flag.It took weeks to get Rene and Christy in the front to give me a treatment plan per my insurance. Christy, (who has an implant on the exact tooth Im needing treatment on) said, Just cancel Ameritas, Im tired of dealing with it. referring to my $70 dental insurance plan. I have her saying this statement recorded, because I have to record all of my phone calls due to my brain injury.**They were trying to force me to go with the in house rates which were indeed higher than the contracted rates Dr. John has with Ameritas, my in network insurance company. Not only were they trying to get me to pay double, but they were making every excuse possible to deny me my insurance rates or file a pre-authorization. I spoke with Ameritas at length, and they said he is required to file per his contract with them if the patient is in network, not try to charge the patient full out of pocket price. Another red flag.I paid $250 for a CBCT scan done at their office on Jan 16 2019. The assistant left me in the room with my mouth hooked into the machine - alone. The machine swung around and hit me in the head. I called Help! Please! Help!No one came or even answered me. Red flags all over the field.The machine swung around again hitting me a second time, injuring my neck and mouth. When the assistant, a Russian lady with a thick accent and blonde hair returned, she said, I heard you calling for help, but there was nothing I could do. I cant turn the machine off.WHAT????? Shes not even supposed to leave the room!Again, Im a permanently disabled person with a traumatic head injury.To make things vastly worse, I paid for the CT scan and had 2 discs printed for my doctors. The office staff failed to install a driver onto the discs, and I had to wait weeks going back and forth with them reprinting the discs to no avail. I finally am forced to ask for a refund 3 weeks later but still have no images, and am now a month behind in treatment and a month more in pain unnecessarily. The only good thing they did was give me back my money.Dr. Johns bedside manner is cold an uncaring. Christy is one of the rudest front office assistants Ive ever encountered. No one here made me feel welcome at all.Dont let them lie to you like they did me and say verbatim, you wont find cheaper prices anywhere in town. Talk to your insurance company, get a treatment plan even if its rough from your dentist, and shop around with the dental codes you need. Start with the price for the most expensive code, like the implant or crown, because the rest of the fee schedule usually follows. Your insurance company will literally tell you how much the doctor is allowed to charge per their contract. Dont forget its still a business, and some are shadier than others.This business was willing to take complete advantage of me, a disabled woman surviving on very low disability income, knowing I suffer from cognitive deficiencies and am in daily pain. I cant imagine what theyre willing to pull over on a healthy person. No wonder there are so many complaints of overcharging. It completely makes sense based on my experience. My doctor suggested we file a complaint with the ADA, but Im trying to have the compassion for them which they failed to have for me.

I love this place I have been coming here for years and they have never done me wrong. Started coming here for tooth pain and they have seen me through everything, including when I broke the base of a crown for days before my wedding.

Been coming here for awhile now. Friendly staff, nice facilities.

Dont have any situation come up when paying your bill....

Thought everything was done spectacularly, had to go to the dentist a month later due to severe pain.
