My family has been seeing Dr. Joy for over 5 years. As a former Gentle Dental patient there is no comparison to the offices quality of service and Dr. Joys realistic approach towards dental health. From the back of the house to the front of this house I have nothing but great experiences all around. As an extremely inquisitive patient they always make sure that I understand whats going on and whats covered by insurance so that I can make a well informed decision. As an inner SE resident and downtown commuter there are plenty of places that are more convenient but I couldnt imagine going anywhere else.

I absolutely LOVE East Portland Dentistry!! They are so amazingly, wonderful! My whole family goes there and I am always trying to requirt new patients for them. When my youngest daughter was about 3 she had a fear of the dentist. We originally took her to a pediatric dentist thinking that would make her feel better but it didnt. Once we started taking her to East Portland she felt so much better about the dentist. My kids love everyone they works there so much that they insist on coming with me to my appointments even if they dont have one. Everyone there is so kind and caring! They are by far the best dentist around!!!

Going to the dentist can always create anxiety, but since being in the care of Dr. Joy I can rest easy knowing I will be getting the best treatment available. I have had previous dental work that really screwed up my teeth and it is just a nice feeling knowing I have a group of ladies and Dr. Joy to take care of the real problems. Dr. Joy Arend has been my dentist for over 18 years. Shes performed many procedures including the removal of all my wisdom teeth. As many of you know, that is a very frightening thing for most teenagers. But Dr. Joy and her staff make every visit feel very comfortable and relaxed. Her attention to detail and perfectionism is why I keep going back. I can never see anyone else doing my dental work. I would recommend her to my friends and family any day.

I have been a patient of East Portland Dentistry since the summer of 1970.The staff have always treated me with respect and have a very caring attitude.Dr, Arend has always treated me well and given me very good advice when I had a problem. I especially like my dental cleaning appointments.The work is done gently and Im out of the chair in no time.

I am not a huge fan on the dentist but this place is awesome! The staff here is awesome from the front office to the chair. I would recommend this place to everyone.

When we first came to Portland I went to another dentist. It involved a long flight of stairs to enter, antiquated equipment and a hard sell of products. Then we found East Portland Dentistry. It was just the opposite. Access is very easy with available parking. The equipment is up-to-date and Dr. Joy and her staff are all very accommodating. I cannot imagine a better place for dental work.

We have been going to East Portland Dentistry for almost 10 years and we have been so blessed. The team there has been super kind and patient with my 3 kids. One of my kiddos had extreme anxiety about the dentist, but the hygienist was gentle and understanding and accomodating. Now they all look forward to going to the dentist. Dr. Arend is great at explaining procedures and presenting our options. She is very gentle and reassuringI highly recommend Dr. Arend and the whole team at EPD.
